If the app doesn't list any Android TV's, read on to fix. On my Android TV, I went to settings. Then I had to go to "Android TV remote service" in SystemApps and click "uninstall updates" . I say this because several people are leaving bad reviews which is actually showing how ignorant you are. This is THE BEST app, better than Google's own Android TV remote.

Simple and great no ads. That's a big bonus. Please try to add a mute button. That will make this perfect and I will even be willing to pay for this app as a paid version. Very handy. Edit:- Add the mute button if possible. It really makes this the best app out of all of them. No ads and perfect. Just perfect.

Sometimes it disconnects but a quick restart of the app fixes that. Definitely saved me when my Chromecast tv remote stopped working randomly. Allowed me to factory reset the remote (take batteries out, hold home and reinsert batteries, let go of home when the light pulses) and pair it to the Chromecast TV to get it working again.

I used this app for about 2 months so I wouldnt have to keep changing batteries in my chromecast renote. As of today when I went to use my chromecast, this app no longer works. I see "No Android TV found on this network " & a the link of compatible devices shown on the screen does not work.

I've had this app for years and it's always worked but now it won't connect to my nexus box. There is no support or help and the link it gives for help takes you to an empty domain search page.

The app was working perfectly for 12 month, yesterday it stopped working. Unfortunately I uninstalled the app cause it wasn't working. I thought I'd just download it again and it would work. But NO it doesn't work at all. Does anyone know of an app that will work!!!!

it used to work flawlessly, was my favorite tv remote app. after October 2021 suddenly stopped working and can't find my tv which is compatible according to their website. sucks since it was the best app before.

My "Chromecast with Google TV" device is on a network that doesn't broadcast its ssid, and the app couldn't find it. I looked under 'connections' in the 'settings' menu, but there are no options for setting any network parms. The "androidtv.bytel.tv" link didn't yield any useful info. Uni nstalled, and moving on.

Work great for a while but now it will not find my Google TV Chromecast. Every other app recognizes the presence of the Chromecast but I can't get any remote control apps to connect to my Google TV Chromecast

All remotes ncluding Google one stopped working on after upgrading to Android 11 on my phone, tv had Android 8, please fix it. Only volume works fine, no screen of remote is shown
