The impedance combiner calculates the total driving point (Thevinin or Norton) impedance (Zc) of an electrical circuit. The individual impedances are entered as an expression and the total impedance is output. The expression can be total resistive, reactive or a combination.
The impedances are represented by complex numbers (e.g. 3-4i). 
If it is purely resistive it can be represented by the pure part only (e.g. 4). 
If it is purely reactive it can be represented by the imaginary part only (e.g. -4i).
The expression accepts two operators: "” and "+". 
The "+" operator is used to combine series impedances (e.g. (2+4i)+(8+3i) = 10+7i Ohm). 
The "" operator is used to combine parallel impedances (e.g. (2+4i)(8+3i) = 2.05+2.36 Ohm).
The "" operator has a higher precedence than the "+" operator. Brackets are also used to establish precedence.
