Used to be good, original and fun. The community has changed over the years, and not for the better. Lots of people reposting tiktok videos for a quick score. Some golden posts still exist, but are rare. The actual app isn't working well either, it always had some breaking issue in the past. This time it seems to randomly decide that vertical scrolling is actually horizontal, causing it to switch posts way too often (to the point where it's actually making me just give up and close the app).

Too many ads and awful battery consumption. Recent updates in their business practice have pushed ads to roughly every 5th post. These are always HQ videos that eat through data and use a lot of battery. The app used to be lightweight but there's so much bloat slowing it down, causing crashes and just generally ruining the experience. Would not recommend.

This app lacks the basic image viewing functionality. Have you heard of zoom? This thing that allows you to enlarge the picture to better see its details on, for example, a small phone screen? Well this app doesn't seem to have it. I have to use an internet browser or dowload and open in an actual functioning image viewing app to achieve it. Unthinkable.

I still love Imgur but... "Let's make an app that is a hub of GIFs, especially in dumps, that neither loads nor scrolls efficiently" "Let's make an app that encourages short video clips that result in 'unexpected video error' and crashes" I could go on. I get it. It's free. Yes I use everyday. It still sucks like rush hour on the freeway. Sarah, we deserve better.

It's a real shame this app seems to be broken after the last update. Forces close at least once per session, sometimes posts won't load and often comments aren't posted after I write them, this usually then leads the app to freeze and close. It's such a shame coz it's the only social media like app that I use. Hopefully the next updt will fix these new issues.

I thought it was me and my older phone. But no other app (including games) crash like this. I load up, it crashes. I scroll down, it freezes then crashes. It crashes every time a new ad on the bottom loads. I can't see pictures half the time and comments the other half. It's a shame.

I have had this app for years but in the last 2 years the quality of the app has gone down hill. No matter if I use wifi or data the posts won't load or take forever. But the ads those work just fine every freaking time! I love the content, and community but I'm super frustrated with it not working 90% of the time.

Literally just automatically downloaded the Hello Fresh app when I swiped from one image to the next in feed. Lots of times it will automatically open the play store on its own. Sooooooooo many ads and they are getting worse. Crashes every like 3-5 minutes.

Half the time images don't load. If you close the app accidentally you lose where you were up to. Images in comments never load either. Video clips rarely play properly. It's got a decent interface but the app is let down by the basics.

App is never fully functional. Theres always some sort of annoying bug they never fix. Now there's an ad every 6th post when you're scrolling. Nearly 20% of the posts I see are an ad. The app has so many bugs and is managed so poorly that noone in their right mind would actually pay to remove ads. I recommend any other app beside imgur
