This is a fantastic app, good on every platform I use. I also use this as a brilliant bridge over all the devices I use. No matter what computer I sit at or hold, I have access to my favorite editor that isn't in a terminal.

Pretty good app! It supports SAF (Storage Access Framework), it's lightweight and pretty fast, although it should be mentioned beforehand that dark-mode is a paid feature (30$USD for full-app).

This application is a big disappointment. I think the strongest point of Information Architects is marketing - but there are too many "buts" behind pleasing words and decent design. The first thing - cloud synchronization. In fact, it is not about synchronization - the application works with files directly in the cloud. Other users have repeatedly complained about data loss, and iA stubbornly replied that it was a cloud provider's mistake. This is just an excuse - you risk losing data every time you lose a connection, for example on a train, etc. iA should repair this instead of blaming iCloud and others. Another thing - after the last update of the Androd version, the integrated file manager cannot work directly with files in the storage - this makes iA Writer together with an unreliable cloud essentially unusable. And guess what - Google is said to be to blame. The third thing - the Windows version and the incredibly slow launch of the application - iA tried to disguise it with an ugly splash screen, instead of speeding up loading. But what makes the Windows version unusable again for me is the lack of a global search in files. Everyone has it: Scrivener, Typora, Zettlr, Mark Text, etc. If you write longer texts divided into many files, searching in them is necessary. I assume that iA will add this feature with great glory to some future version, even though competing applications have had it for a long time.
