Unacceptably slow loading app and scooters dangerously too tightly tuned breaks. The high powered motor on these scooters is the only better quality Hopp has over other scooter rentals. Stiff steering control, no shock absorption and kickstand drags after ride starts. Each of the 22 scooters I have used has these same consistent problems.

The hopp scooters are great don't get me wrong but the app is the problem. The ride button can be unresponsive at times and most of the time the app tells us the scooter is unavailable and to use another. Please fix this

The buttons don't work. I have to keep mashing them over and over to get any response. Even if it lights up as if being pressed, nothing will happen.

Very convenient way to get around Iceland. Better than Zolo because it has a better operating range (e.g. you can go to Perlan with Hopp but not Zolo). I think the scooters have regenerative braking but I'm not sure.

It's a really fun and nice way to get from place to place in the area that it services. There are, however, a few downsides that makes me not want to recommend it. The first issue that I had is that it feels difficult to control your speed. The throttle feels very loose and it's hard to hit that "sweet spot" to glide along comfortably. The second issue is cost. It cost me over 500 isk to ride about 5 minutes to and from my school whereas that same ride would have cost me just over 100 isk in gas if I had taken the car. I understand that being eco friendly can be costly but this month would cost me over 12.000 isk if I decide to take this to school each day.

App would not let me end ride so was over charged, no contact number to speak to them.

The bike was not in what is called "the operating zone" when i started it so when my 4 min ride ended i had to pay 2000 extra. The app did NOT let me know that this was the case so im leaving this review to warn those who might fall for the same mistake.
