  1. Sameer Saini-avatar

Very horrible experience ..given that it is a consumer good. App is not at Ll backward compatible. I have adapt and it has very a poor notification system. It says connection successful but does not show any connection. Does not have any tips or message to show what is it doing at the background.

  2. Chris Ryan-avatar

An absolute piece of garbage. I have 3 of the devices but this thing constantly disconnects them. Now it won't play on any despite uninstalling and reinstalling many times. I wish I knew before purchasing.

  3. Hashim Zaghloul-avatar

    Hashim Zaghloul

This app is horrible. The speakers rely on this app for grouping. Combine this with poor Bluetooth recognition (speakers, not app), and the fact that this app does not support streaming from most music services, and you get a decent sounding set of speakers that are severely limited in functionality. I genuinely spend more time fiddling with the app making the speakers link together than I do listening to the speakers, which is a shame.

  4. Angel Lov-avatar

Horrible app! The app can't even do the basics of connecting let alone what it was made to do

  5. Herman Nelissen-avatar

    Herman Nelissen

I had a good laugh at how terrible this software is. Nothing works, the UX is terrible. Somebody should seriously find a new industry to work in, because application development appears to not be your cuppa tea. Riddled with bugs, impossible to configure multiple audio devices properly (got three Omni 10s, spent hours attempting to configuring them, eventually succeeded pairing two with my Google Home setup circumventing this app, but cannot get the third to work. I'm a bloody professional app developer). Good luck trying to get this to work without at least a PhD in Computer Science (my masters was insufficient apparently).

  6. Peter Allen-avatar

Damn app is useless. I bought two Adapt's and neither would connect to my network. Contacted HK and they had me do a few things then had me send them back for replacement. The new devices have the same issue. Reading other reviews it seems this is a widespread issue that HK has no plans on fixing. Last HK purchase I'll ever make. Useless company!

  7. Nicole Koopmans-avatar

    Nicole Koopmans

Terrible app. It cannot complete a speaker connection to WiFi since it connects to the speaker and then complains that there is no internet. Of course there isn't! Your supposed to set up the damn speaker! Of course the app just crashes at that point so I now have a EUR 200.- paperweight lying around. Worthless app, do not use and get a proper sound system.

It took me months of trying to update the 2 omni 20 speakers and adapt. I had issues with the device not showing up or disappearing prior to having the latest update for the devices. My advice is be sure to have the latest update for your device and if you have the older non +(plus) device use 2.4ghz Wi-Fi, dual 2.4ghz and 5ghz did not work for me even if I assigned a unique name for each band. Now the 2 omni 20 are working perfectly in stereo mode and the adapt with a klipsch promedia 2.1

  9. greg lucas-avatar

Harman Kardon has the weakest sinking program I've ever seen it's not that hard you guys everybody else seems to have it except for Harman Kardon so here I am back on the internet trying to figure out how to sync my Harman Kardon speakers with a joke

  10. Sherif Elgendy-avatar

I bought the adapt product from harman kardon, since it is only controlled over qifi it became useless as the app cannot detect the device, tried iphone, ipad, my android phone even different wifi routers still the same thing, worst experience ever, I'm returning the device, never trust harman kardon, no online solution even

  11. Ricardo Colonia-avatar

    Ricardo Colonia

One of the worst apps for a speaker system. Requests for a firmware upgrade every time it starts up and then hangs up making the system unusable. When finally the speaker connected to the Wifi network, it only plays about 2 seconds of music before hanging up again, does not connect with Spotify, just locally stored music.. in summary it's garbage

  12. Amogh Garg-avatar

only able to connect via ethernet cable. not connecting to home WiFi network. App keep on crashing. Also via ethernet not able to cast from Netflix and Amazon prime video and prime music. Please just sell it as Bluetooth speaker and not as a inbuilt Chromecast one. Please don't experiment on consumers.

  13. Miso Filipovic-avatar

Could not connect my Omni Bar+ to my WiFi at all. Solution? Do it through my friends iPhone. So this Chromecast built in speaker requires an iOS device to setup as it doesn't work on my android. That kind of bad is almost admirable. This is definitely a return, even though I got it at 50% off.

  14. Ankit B-avatar

The WiFi router changed and it doesnt set the speaker up any more. Can the devs please do something? for the Omni 20+. Router doesnt have WPS. I'm reduced to using a lan cable for a wireless speaker. Also PLEASE MAKE SURE USAGE DATA ISNT ENABLED BY DEFAULT.. stop invading people's privacy.

  15. Veer Maharaj-avatar

So far the app is finding my m3u playlists on my SDcard synced via musicbee from my Asus zenfone 6 no problem. Playback of my local music to the omni 20+ speaker via wifi is great. The app cannot see album art over 600x600px and there is no sleep timer on the playback screen. A bummer for people who like to go to sleep while listening to music.

  16. Gunnar Danielsen-avatar

    Gunnar Danielsen

It's ok, but sync sucks. This works for my Omni+: 1. Reset router. 2. Unplug all HK units. 3. Turn on and Reset a unit you want synced. 4. Set up this unit as a separate room. 5. Repeat 3 and 4 for other units. 6. When all are done ungroup them and make new rooms like you want or 5.1 etc.

  17. John Heijlands-avatar

disappointing app for such an expensive system. app needs to be restarted if the music is temporary stopped with the pause button in the app. sometimes the system just doesn't respond. wish I done some more research before I bought 6 speakers

  18. Samiran Bhowmik-avatar

    Samiran Bhowmik

Never connected even after multiple reset of speaker and router

  19. jonathan martinez-avatar

    jonathan martinez

App is broken, my speakers are connected to wifi, i can see them in mt home network, but the app won't let them connect. Speakers sound great, but this is the worst app of any major speaker manufacturer

  20. A Google user-avatar

After trying for weeks to use this app to set up my speakers (and failing). I eventually managed to manually connect each speaker to the WiFi using my router. This app works okay to manage the speakers. I wish they would support Spotify in this app.

  21. Zegna Anzeg-avatar

Firmware had been long since its updated and just mess up my Omni 20. Speakers end up producing distorted sounds. Making it worse, it's not compatible with Android version 8. Simply crappy

  22. A Google user-avatar

Dear Team, can you please include sound equalizer in the app. As the lower bass is more prominent and it's not always treat to hear. This will make the omni 50 plus speaker a perfect speaker and this app as more useful

  23. Gen Alcoreza-avatar

was working well before until now when i moved and had to change wifi connections. app wont work now when trying to connect and keeps crashing. no updates. no support.

  24. Munish Kummar Mangal-avatar

    Munish Kummar Mangal

Not able to setup wifi on my HK omni 20+ even after tryibg multiple times. No success even after WPS mode. Worst app crashes anytime. waste of time. Is anyone from HK looking at customer issues as almost everyone in reviews is complaining about setup.

  25. John Miller-avatar

Does not recognize my omni 20 speakers that are connected to my WiFi network as of 11/5/18 so now there is no stereo, only can connect to 1 speaker using Bluetooth so now my 6 speaker system is useless. What happened?

  26. Xavier THIBAULT-avatar

    Xavier THIBAULT

Disappointed. It was quite difficult to configure the speaker. Then, the trouble were not ended since the application can not find the wifi (whereas the iphone was connected) or loose the wifi... Very unstable.

  27. Shady Ali-avatar

after download and installation the app is asking me for update aftert update after update and it doesn't stop and everytime is giving me that update is successfully installed (HK Omni 20)

  28. Kunwar Arora-avatar

The app keeps stopping. I'm not able to connect my speakers for the past 30mins

  29. Tajinder Kullar-avatar

Rubbish app. Doesnt work. I have an Omni 10 which is basically a very expensive bluetooth speaker...

  31. Fred Lara-avatar

Absolute garbage. Just purchased. Not one successful connection through the app. Nothing is working. Will be returning product and never buy HK again. I'll stick to Sonos and bose!

  32. A P-avatar

useless application not working at all big disappointment great speakers but useless without app got few speakers all going back to store

  33. Sanjay Patil-avatar

Not bad. It would have been better if option is given in app to choose source.

  34. Juozas Zagelis-avatar

why is this app still here. it had to be deleted eons ago or better not created at all. useless. never got speakers connected.

  35. Hans Bendik-avatar

works ok for controlling the omni but have not large variety of integrated services. basically only Tidal.... expect more from Harman

  36. Tony doherty-avatar

Total pants...the WiFi set up will simply never work app is so badly designed it is hard to imagine that a human being was involved in the process. pity

I bought this Wifi speaker but using it only thru bluetooth connection with TV that have Youtube n spotify. Why? Cos this supposedly premium speakers dun support Chromecast, youtube or spotify on its own app!? U guys need to buck up or get out of the speakers industry.

  71. Arnoud Snippert-avatar

    Arnoud Snippert

  72. Filipe Coelho-avatar

Really!? I have 2 Omni 10 speakers for 3 years now! There is no way to get the speaker setup work without any problems. From time to time the speakers go out of sync and every time it's a chore to get them working again. It's unacceptable when we play close to $200 for each speaker. You should have this sorted out at this time. Such incompetence is mind blowing.

  73. Leo Cepeda-avatar

Not very intuitive. I work in IT and still can't figure it out. I purchased the Apt "on sale" from HK but that was the price listed on Amazon. They jacked up the price on the HK website to make it look attractive. Not cool. So anyway, I purchased it to try it out. I can't even get it to work. I managed to get the Apt connected to my Wifi but then it goes into limbo because the app can no longer find it. Crappy app!!

  74. Salomon Hamud-avatar

Horrible un intuitive app. The features it provides do not compensate the frustrating user experience you have to go through. Also speakers have terrible lag. Only usable for music if you don't mind waiting fos a couple of seconds after any command.

  75. Michael Davies-avatar

Does the dev not read the comments on this? I hope Harman haven't paid you for this work because it is terrible. You should be ashamed and remove the app until you can design something better

  76. John Compton-avatar

App doesn't work and to make matters worse, has no interface to speak off. So you're reduced to helplessly watch the wifi connection fail again and again. Fix it!

  77. Chris-avatar

App keeps displaying firmware update required, even after it says firmware update successful. So now I cannot use it

  78. Ovidiu Mihai-avatar

Weak app. Don't bother to download this. Shame on you HK.

  79. asma koh-avatar

    cant use

  80. emanuel bakic-avatar

  81. Casey Swanson-avatar

Not impressed at all... Most other high profile audio companies and even small names alike have figured out how to make an app that is user friendly and user kind. Whats the hold up Harman Kardon...!? Not exactly leading or innovating much anymore.... Bummer.... The market will judge.

  82. Antoine Masse-avatar

Useless app and useless device (adapt) cannot connect nor via Bluetooth nor via waifi

  83. Scott M-avatar

Wi-Fi music sounds great, it works on Bluetooth too but the sound using Wi-Fi is much better and very reliable for me so far. The range using WiFi is very good and the party mode to each of my Harman Kardon adapt devices works great. A little tricky setting up but well worth trouble.

  84. Mohd Hadi Kamaruzaman-avatar

    Mohd Hadi Kamaruzaman

I have harman kardon aura studio and since the update I cant use the remote app at all... how come u give this disadvantage to your previous product. U should keep the app as universal as it can so people wont get dissapointed.

  85. Yi Wen Guo-avatar

Very disappointed. The app can't find the device. What good is high-quality audio over WiFi if you can't get the device setup?

  86. joe gray-avatar

Tne app was updated and the sound quality wnt downhill rapidly, also tha app does not recognise some of my music files such as .shn - not happy with the lack of spotify either . Cannot link to my pc where all my music is stored either . All in all really good for the garage and that is only if you can get wifi in it . 3/10

  87. catalin vintila-avatar

    catalin vintila

In wifi mode the app pauses music after a half an hour aprox. This happens with smartphone and tablet (Android). So wi-fi mode is pretty useless.

  88. Desmond Masondo-avatar

can the creators please do something about this app already . there's so many complaints about it and nothing is being done. What's the use in spending so much money buying your speakers when they don't even work well with the app

  89. Tyler Drever-avatar

Trash! The app can't find my speakers even if they are already paired and connected to my phone. Same thing happened with the HK connect app as well.

  90. Antonio B-avatar

Not compatible with my cortana harman speaker no support

Purchased one Omni 10+ and one Omni 20+. Attempt to connect them to my network. Router AmplifiHD HW revision 19 SW version 2.2.2. Using LG Nexus 5x Android 7.1.2. Unable to connect. By sheer luck I had on hand a Samsung Note II Android 4.4.2. I was able to connect both speakers. I am extremely surprised and disappointed with this app's incompatibility with a modern Android platform. What would I have done had my modern Android phone been the only one I had? Returned the speakers and vow to steer clear of Harman Kardon? Most likely. I would have rated zero stars if possible.
