I have been a very consistent player since year one, I've bought every expansion, adventure, and have a pretty decent collection. I've seen Hearthstone have its ups and downs and usually appreciate the devs at least show an effort to make the game more accessible, but this iteration is just not fun. And it's super disheartening, because the expansion itself is great. The new mechanics are fun Battlegrounds and, Duels are amazing, but it's all eclipsed by the new reward system. I can't have fun.

top decks I've bought all the expansions in this game. I've always enjoyed it. But since this Barrens set. The game is in my opinion broken. You play the same decks over and over again. Usually to play a ridiculous 1 turn game where the clock runs out long before there turn is done. Or you get your boT that let's the clock run out every turn. IDK I'm done spending my money here.

duels decks I'm liking what I'm seeing so far... The bug fixes while not complete, it quite an improvement! Contrary to some, and though I'm still, for the most part, a salty player... As I gain more experience playing, and learning via many different sources... I'm very anxious to see what is in the next card release. I previously rated low for all the bugs with the 20.0 patch, but I tell you are improving by leaps and bounds. Please keep up the good work team.

reddit Game is unplayable on mobile. It stutters, freezes, animations lag and take forever to complete. One update will make it manageable, the next will make the game unbearable to play. Make a mobile only version, strip the graphics down, so something. Otherwise if youre going to have a game be so unoptimized for mobile, take it off the App store.

  5. Josh-avatar

battlegrounds The absolute bare minimum for an app like this is that it can connect to the online service. Blizzard has failed to meet that bare minimum on both this and the WoW Companion app. They only connect on WiFi, not a cellular connection, which makes them worthless on the go, and lately I've been having trouble getting them to connect even on WiFi. I checked online and found that they're "aware of the issue" and have been for a few months. It's a good game, but I literally can't play it on this app.

  6. J Smith-avatar

corrupt I quite enjoy the arena mode which allows you to make a deck from random sets of three cards. It's a level playing field and it doesn't take much to get the in game currency required to play it. Any other mode, where you must collect the cards yourself, is considerably less fun due to near impossibility of building a competitive deck in any reasonable amount of time without paying for it.

patch notes Been playing since the release of the game nearly 7 years ago and I've seen all the ups and downs of this game. To be fair, this game is exactly what it tries to be. An easy to play, interactive game for all play types and styles. This game has everything for each player. Hate losing and cheap? Play battlegrounds. Like winning, and have cash to burn? Play standard. Like challenges, and skill based play? Play Rumble Run and Witchwood. Like true PvP strategy? Play Arena Mode. Great game

deck tracker For starters Hearthstone is a great game, its entertaining with a good variety of game modes and gameplay! Now the unfortunate part is that the mobile community is unable to play unless on Wi-Fi and even then their are constant reports of loading issues and unplayability, I would love to play this on my phone and I'd be willing to spend my money for extra content and hero skins but im not gonna spend money or time on a game I can't play because it has yet to get fixed! Please fix!

meta I love Hearthstone! Have played for many years. It's a wonderfully crafted game, and looks fantastic. There is drawbacks. Like spending alot of money, and RNG can be less than forgiving. There is a limit to how far you can go at the elite tiers, not gonna lie. I admittedly over the years have spent at least a couple hundred dollars during big releases. But I truly enjoy this game. It's a hobby and I don't regret spending the cash. There is a lot of content even for free players. Cheers!

battlegrounds tier list The best CCG on mobile. Unfortunately, it's steadily been moving toward a pay 2 win setup. It's become very common for Blizz to release broken card sets to entice purchases. Then they nerf those decks down to the ground. The entire expansion is spent moving between OP decks as blizzard scrambles to balance what they can't. Then it starts all over again when the next expansion drops. Only reason I still play is because I'm invested. Been over 5 years of playing hearthstone.

UPDATE!!! The glitch is fixed! 👍🏽Thank you IT for your hard work and magical ability to fix things 😊 OLD REVIEW 👇🏼👇🏼 Sooo I've been playing this game for years and now it's broken. The updates have made it impossible to start the game. It's impossible to login to my old games. Once you start brand-new it only allows you to play the intro and breaks. I hope you fix this soon. I really love playing. I'm sure I'm not the only one unable to make the game work. Hope you fix this 😔

Updates required way too often. Fun to remember where it all began. But in an effort to remain fresh, far too many mechanics and cards and diluted the fun to a now overwhelming slog of requiring pay-to-get-best-cards-to-stay-relevant. Not entirely pay to win, but they are fortunate there is a core community willing to keep shelling out.

  13. Aaron Gallipeaux-avatar

    Aaron Gallipeaux

Great game if you can deal with the fact that its often luck over skill and they try to nickle and dime you every chance they get (though it is free to play and only slightly pay to win (because you can create the most powerful decks without paying but you get the cards slower so you'll be limited in the variety of decks you can build with your collection).

  14. Jess Thomas-avatar

    Jess Thomas

You need to spend 150 dollars a year plus play about an hour a day to be able to get the cards you need to be competitive and have fun. Doing all the free daily quests will get you about 70 free packs each 4 months. but you need to spend 50 dollars every 4 months in addition to that or you will always be unable to craft the best decks. Maybe you could make 1 good deck and run with it but then its a bit boring after a while....

  15. Selectninja-avatar

It took me about 2 years of disenchanting cards and opening packs casually to make a meta, that is only going to be around for a couple months. This game is incredibly difficult if you want to stay f2p, but overall I had fun. The newest expansion at the time of this (Barons) has made the game so much more approachable for new player that it honestly gives me just a bit of hope. If you like card games this is honestly the best bet to go with.

  16. Zach Weber-avatar

    Zach Weber

With the release of the Core "expansion" and the several unnerfed cards being released back into wild, the format feels more diverse than ever before. Yes, there are degenerate decks and some busted cards, but overall I am enjoying the game. Blizzard has heard the outcries about some of the more malicious practices and has addressed and changed many of them.

  17. Jeremy Pratt-avatar

    Jeremy Pratt

I love this game. I've been playing it for years; almost since it was first released. However, recently the app have become very unstable and crashes constantly. There are times when the app will crash five times in a single match. Please fix.

Huh... Kinda hard to describe nothing, so I've watched family play and I'm into turn based card games, I mean yu gi oh was the best of all time, but this? I'll update later when I find the energy to finish the tutorial, side note if you need a sleep remedy this totural WILL put you to sleep like it had done me, why 6 boring drawn out and just trash fights explaining instead of 1 yeah, nah if this was burger king and I had it my way 0 stary bois so far.

  19. Tyler Brim-avatar

    Tyler Brim

Connection issues are terrible. Barely works with 4/5g and drops all the time to poor connectivity even on Wi-fi. I can literally sit in the room with gig speed wifi, full bars and have this drop connection. No issues with every other multiplayer game app.

  20. George Crosby-avatar

    George Crosby

Blizzard has made some positive changes. Finally new players will be able to play the game...I hate dominating good players just because they are playing bad basic cards...making cards more attainable without money is 🗝️. The biggest change they need to make is making the battle pass cost gold instead of 💲only. Reward players for grinding.

  21. Dustin Braun-avatar

Edit : They fixed most of my complaints its worth playing again Old: This game used to be based on a model where you could play without spending any money. They have since switched it to a money grabbing model.

Nice beginner decks, acquiring new cards isn't too agonizing, and solo adventures are neat ways to play with normally inaccessible decks and cards. The controls are usually smooth, but connectivity issues or something of the like can be especially painful ways to lose by disqualification, or worse, paralysis.

I love everything, from the music to the gameplay to the progression to the free expansions to the community, it's all there and it's great. Edit: Nvm, Bliz sucks now. Don't buy. Edit 2: Nvm, I like this. It's cool. 4 stars.

  24. CJ Sutton-avatar

    CJ Sutton

Love the actual gameplay but it's way too expensive to remain competitive. They need to take a lesson from Runeterra and tone back the greed. Blizzard isn't hurting for money. These expansion releases shouldn't be $50+ multiple times a year just to maybe get a meta deck for ONE class.

  25. Samuel Lee Chapman Jr-avatar

    Samuel Lee Chapman Jr

No Regrets, Free to played from Kobolds and Catacombs-Rastakhan's Rumble And invested in card packs from Rise of Shadows up until recently.. Solo adventures are free and Reward card backs, while the paid adventures allow you to unlock cards as you progress The players who whine about pay walls are usually the same who obsess over winning. In regards to the game being set in the World of Warcraft universe I missed out on a large chunk of Lore as I never played beyond Tides of Darkness.LostVikings

  26. Jonathan Karabowicz-avatar

    Jonathan Karabowicz

It was a fun idea at the onset but has become more of a "pay to win" game, especially with old expansions being relegated to Wild decks. Too many players have overpowering decks even though they don't know how to use them.

  27. steven siegmund-avatar

    steven siegmund

Still way too expensive for a full collection...can never recommend to friends because the entry fee to build viable decks is too high....headed in the right direction, but its too little too late.

  28. Anthony Ross-avatar

    Anthony Ross

This would be 5 stars but my game used to glitch so I couldn't do the final level of the mirror the one before Dr boom and they updated the game and now when I get close to beating the level like I will be 1 step from winning and my game will glitch unableing me from playing hearthstone I can't ever win and it takes forever to get back in the game I have to close and re opent the game over and over again untill it gives up and says unable to reconnect to your game. Please fix in next update.

  29. Xanthos the Talking Horse-avatar

    Xanthos the Talking Horse

The game sucks on mobile, and the new battle pass system is incredibly predatory. Blizzard only cares about milking their player base, making a fun game is secondary to that Edit: the game still sucks on mobile, but I'm addicted. A grudging 3 stars

  30. Royce Miller-avatar

    Royce Miller

Does this weird thing on work wifi where it tries to update when theres no update, always in the middle of a Battlegrounds game or an Arena game. And, of course, crashing my game in the process, forcing me to restart. Unsure of cause.

  31. Laban Goolsby-avatar

I've been playing this game for so many years now and I haven't spent a single penny. at first it may seem like a grind but after a while if you're smart with your dusts you can forge top tier wild decks that can easily carry you to legend.

  34. Bobby-avatar

Easy to pick up & play but still very challenging. They alternate cards in standard decks & have various modes to try other cards. You can save a ton of decks too. Cards are self-explanatory although newcomers could be clueless with lore like inspire, invoke, corrupt, etc. I find it more enjoyable than the more complicated fantasy deck games that seem better technically but lose my attention span. Blizzard keeps it fresh with extra modes modes &campaigns to help keep it from being stale.

It's a card game. You'll do better (to a point) by spending tons of money on the game. I became the best in my friend group by spending the most, so I assume it's fair to call it "pay to win"

Wifi only game.. put 100$s of dollars in and o do enjoy it but I wish some old school decks stood competitive. The game has lots of rush beat down decks the game pass really helps u grind worthy purchase but wish it was already there

Ouh my God, the RNG is massive in this game, every mode is RNG, you don't need any skill really, which is sad because in WoW you needed skill and brains to do anything. I miss freeze mage... Disappointed

  44. Soda Pop-avatar

Good game. Played for years. Used to spend money on it. Spent more on this game then any other games in 4 years. Went f2p for a year. They introduced battlepass, figured it would be a fun way to invest slightly after taking a break from buying all the time and going casual. Turns out, the economy didn't improve. Feels worse. Anytime I had a major issue with this game, Bliz usually resolved it given time. Since this is related to econ, not so sure anymore. Worst aspect of game is even worse now.

There are now more ways to have fun in hearthstone for free than there have ever been. There's a bunch of single player stuff that's totally free. But there's no question if you want to have access to more decks and playstyles in multiplayer than you're incentivized to have as many cards in each set as possible. You could earn these packs just by playing a bit each day, or you can speed up the process of building your collection by spending more money. It's a polished game if you're willing.

I love hearthstone I really do. But one of my main joys from the game were from the actually fun solo adventures. The last few feel like they were trying to make them not fun to play. I understand that ideas are hard to come up with but forcing us into decks for character stories that honestly, most probably don't care about. I know there is nothing that can be done about it now. But honestly having a fun solo again would be awesome...

Blizzard customer service is absolutely trash, to the point where I got locked out of my account because of their own nonsense and could not get a representative to help everything leads to a FAQ forum. So after creating a new account to play a game I once loved I find out that it has become very much a pay to win game. If you even want a chance at being competitive and not feeling overwhelmed by the other players, you have to pay. You can't even get some cards without paying cash money

  54. Janelle Krannich-avatar

    Janelle Krannich

Big fan of Battlegrounds, but the mobile version has the worst lag. It's incredibly disappointing when you're on a roll with multiple card swaps and upgrades, only for the game to freeze up before you get a chance to complete your turn. I have solid WiFi; the mobile version simply can't keep up. Unless you're prepared to get unbelievably frustrated and unintentionally sacrifice the best last minute moves in your turn, go to a computer. P.S. This review is a DIRECT REMINDER to my stubborn self.

There's dozens of modes that have been released, and a lot of them are free and do not require a collection to play. New and ftp players can play and compete in these modes to progress on the battle pass, which will earn you gold and packs to progress in the main game. You won't reach standard ranked top 1% as a completely new free player, but you can still maintain a place somewhere on the ladder, while the modes you CAN dominate as a new ftp, bolster your collection over time. Never too late!

  59. chris scott-avatar

The only good thing about this game is that its updated regularly. However they have completely killed it with the last update. Brainless aggro is the only way to play. Just adding new cards apparently wasnt enough. They had to remove cards from standard play as well. Pretty much completely killed some classes like mage. I'm a control player, and at this point the game is unplayable. This game was great, it's sad to watch the developers keep pushing what is killing it. Oh well, time to delete

PAY TO WIN I used to live this game and I've been playing since release, now it has become unplayable even at the lowest levels unless you throw down 100+ dollars each season for ranked. The combo potential is also gone and now it just seems the only win condition is tempo. I would of deleted this app a long time ago if they didn't add battle grounds which is some what fun. I've spent hundreds of dollars on this game and I vow never to spend another penny

This is one of the few games I have continued playing off and on since it's release. Plenty of content and expert strategizing to hold my attention. It is a beautifully crafted, flat out fun game that allows you to go as deep as you want into competitive strategy, or just play casually for fun. Lastly, it is Play to Win, not Pay to Win, and not pushy about selling, and no ads! A definite go to for me when in need of relaxing.

Love this app SO much, but.... the updates! So many updates! And unfortunately, you can't play while it updates, so if your connection is slow, you may be waiting a while to play for some of the bigger patches. Other than that, it's fun and easy to learn how to play; and unlike many other apps, you're not limited by number of lives, you can play as long as you desire. Solid offering from Blizzard.

Have been playing this game for years have bought expansions spent a couple hundred on it and now for the past 2 or 3 months this game has apparently no end to its updates and now that I do finally have all the updates the game does not start. It just stays stuck in the loading screen. Months back same thing happened finally did all updates and game just stays stuck on loading screen.

This is without a doubt a "the more you put in, the more you get out" kinda game. It's sometimes pay to win, but it fluctuates with the meta. However, If you play daily it's possible to always be competent after some steady building of your card collection. It's essentially the quintessential online collectable card game.

Amazing game. Game just got a full overhaul making it easier to get started. Game updates at least once a week for the new events each week. I've had no connection issues at all. When connection times out from inactivity, you will have to re-open the game. I only try to play when I have good signal (at least 3 of 5 bars) or on wifi as it's a large game. Alot have complained about connections but that's not a blizzard issue (saying this as an IT) . Btw, game has NO ads at all :)

Lots of fun, but unless you're willing to invest a LOT of money in buying the expansion packs and other extra card packs offered you aren't going to get very far if you want to seriously compete against the big boys. Truthfully, the rewards system is an improvement. I was a little skeptical at first about it, but it's proven itself. The platform itself...with its constant disconnects from the server...frustrating beyond belief! Especially when you reconnect and all you have is an empty board!

This was once a 5 star game that I got a lot of friends to play. While not great to begin with, the economy of the game has gradually gotten to the point where it's near impossible to start playing without sinking a lot of money into it and the company refuses to alter their model. I would not recommend this game to any new players.

I have enjoyed this game to the point where sometimes I make purchases. With the latest updates, it has become clear that trying to stick F2P is going to be take more work to try and keep up with the competition. C'mon Blizzard, you used to like us. Edit: Well, you did it. With Barrens, so much good has come out that i feel it's a much better game.

I have been playing for 3 years now. So far my experience has been thrilling. No matter what game mode you're playing you never know what to expect. Which makes the game so much more fun. Now sometimes it does seem like it might be a pay to win kind of game. But with perseverance and lots of effort you can get cards and build your collection in a normal free fashion. You just got to put time and a lot of effort into it. (Be sure to download and set up the blizzard authenticator).

It may be considered pay to win because with money you can unlock a greater collection of cards. However, it can still be enjoyable with cards you unlock normally. The adrenaline you get when the pieces all come together is what keeps the game under my standards. There are no ads! Online play is free! But part of campaign is paid.

The game can be fun and addicting, though you could easily empty your wallet just for the (small) chance of getting the really powerful cards that enable you to build effective decks. But the worst part for me is the mobile app and the reason for the two star review. The mobile version freezes constantly, usually for almost every match. At this point the mobile version is basically unplayable, as the constant freezing costs me about half the games I play. Bli$$ard only cares about money not bugs

I stopped playing for 2 years. Now I'm back. So many positive changes. I love the new reward system. It doesn't make the game feel expensive even with so many expansion because it's so generous as long as you put in some time. With so many modes to play you'll always find something to come back too.

The game is fun, but 80% of the time the app is broken. It gets stuck at the tavern doors, and I just simply don't have time in my life to uninstall and update every single time I want play. New update consists of mage shaman hunter and rogue just spamming direct damage to face. So you can either run full heal or also rush face damage. You will take 30 damage by turn 6 to 7 almost every game after silver 5. No way to counter a full deck of direct damage other than spell spamming direct damage. Ridiculous "strategy" concept.

not the worst exp I started playing the game a year after it's launch off and on then more frequently due to coworkers also playing the game. The game itself is fun and the animations are cool but yes, you will be stuck on ladder playing ranked at a certain point if you aren't playing with a meta deck. So yes, it'll make you pay if you wanna do standard ladder or even wild, but I play wild primarily and you can have fun still. If you want legend, then you have to pay or sacrifice alotta time

As someone that has played since 2014 when it came out of beta, it's an okay way to whittle away time. It's possible to spend little to no money and play fast efficient decks, but having a great collection let's you go for fun combos or grueling control gameplay. Does take a while to build up a card list, but it is very possible to open or craft what you need with regular play

Played this game for 3-4 years before I decide to stop. It's when I realized its more of pay to win . It's fun but until you get bored of the same old deck you use. If you want better cards buy bundle. But this is where my issue is. I would see streamers be getting legendaries every other pack. I always get the bundle and I get garbage regulars. In which prompt me to buy more. But I stopped. Not worth it anymore

Fun...at a cost The game is great and I have always supported blizzard between wow, diablo, and HS. I buy new expansions for card choice. I've had some new friends get into the game and I didn't realize how hard it is to gather dust to build decks (even after using gold only for packs) when you're new. I tried to build them something resembling a meta deck, but it took dusting almost everything else they've gotten. I think if HS wants to stay alive, dust and card creation needs a healthy rework

Been playing this game for years with no issues, the most recent update has broken this game. It's so laggy it's unplayable now. That's on a Note 9 with plenty of network speed. Update 02/04/2021: Game becomes unplayable after every large update. Requires full reinstallation of the game, and even then it doesn't always work. There's pages of forum posts about this Blizzard, my pc even has the same problem now... and it can run cyberpunk at 1440 and 60+fps. Fix your servers and/or game Blizzard

This game replaces Magic the Gathering for me. A major factor is I have been playing, for free, since beta, so I would reccomend dumping some money into the game at this point for new players to get started, but I reccomend at least waiting for sales. I don't play MTG anymore, too expensive. With Hearthstone, you can play single player modes, complete daily quests, play duels and battlegrounds, there's plenty of stuff for players without a collection to do, and you can win stuff while you play.

Game dropping is so frequent it's practically unplayable. New players that need to catch up on decks will NEED to sink money into it. You could play 3 hours a day for a month and still have no chance of getting what you need. For a company that has asked, "don't you guys have phones" sure doesn't know how to support the mobile audience.

Current state of game is Greed. A game that requires $50-80 3-5 times a year to be able to build a couple competitive decks each season is crazy. New reward system is just another way to funnel money from the consumer with poor return for the consumer. Game can be fun at times but at the cost of not eating for the week the expansion hits. F2P is very limited unless you like being a major underdog on a regular basis. If you can afford the game and dumping 300 dollars a year into then click d/l.

update just keeps loading , not working. Game takes up way too much space to have so many issues. Constant updates too, yet nothing gets fixed. The updates are just for more expansions to buy, while your old cards become obsolete. The grind is real, super p2w. Cant recommend at all, I enjoyed it years ago during beta and first 1 or 2 expansions but its just being packed with modes and each one brings new bugs and more space to suck up. check out The Horus Heresy: Legions instead

TlDr Can be fun, but expect a grind. Been playing consistently for about 4 years. 2 years free to play, 2 years a pay pig. Game is more fun when you pay. Standard format games can be fun but are very swingy right now. There are often terribly designed event or system changes that will make you question why you bother logging in. I mostly just play meme decks in Legacy format. Or the auto battler. I recommend trying this game if you have a friend who already plays it, and can help ease you in.

This is my edited review, as blizzard has made some, but decent changes to monetization and made it more valuable to players who do want to spend money on the game to feel rewarded. With the core set change, allowing all players a free chance at a substantial amount of cards, as well as more value for pre-purchase of expansions, blizzard has made changes that I would start to encourage friends to get in on hearthstone. As someone who has played from the beginning l, its nice to see these changes

Match making isn't the greatest. Battlegrounds is RNG is terrible. Literally the one build that will guarantee a win. Other cons: If I exit the game for any reason (phone call etc) when I join back... it asks me to reconnect. I click that and it just spins indefinitely. You have to force close the game to be able to continue playing. Most other games manage to connect you.

  98. Killgore-avatar

Great game, i've been free playing for a few years, and recently bought the starter pack and tavern pass for new avatars and legendary's. They give out free stuff in events and quests. I will say that alot of people build and copy very strong decks, and theres no room (not even in casual) for themed/goofy decks, you just wont have enough time to play your cards before you die.

Battlegrounds needs to be fixed, I don't know exactly what they should to to fix this but I wanted to state my issues nonetheless. The turn time seem to be very inconsistent. I feel like in some early turns I have like 20 seconds to do everything and on the darkmoon prize turns it seems like even less time. On top of this the in game animations take a second or 2 for everything you do. I guess adding an option to disable to in game animations would work.

Unbalanced and boring. Be prepared to face the few decks with comparative advantage to yours consecutive times, over and over again.. And then if you yourself play the same decks to have them countered as well continuously over and over again.. Be amazed at how random chance and stupid mathematical tendencies always blow up in your face just in time to help the other person won.. A great time waster. Be prepared to be disappointed. It's like babysitting but you are potentially paying..

Runs incredibly poorly on my Pixel 3a XL. Long load times and frequent disconnects for seemingly no reason. The lag of viewing your hand can get so bad it'll play cards you're just looking at. I haven't really even played outside of solo content because I don't think my phone is fast enough to handle the time limits on turns in other modes. I know the Pixel 3a XL isn't exactly a powerhouse of a phone... But it should be more than capable of handling a TCG...

I have a Samsung Galaxy ultra s21.whenever I leave the app open and I come back to it it tries to reconnect before I can do anything - it literally never succeeds.I then have to close the app, often force close the app and relaunch it to get it to work again. the reconnect system has been broken for 2 years on android. This game is amazing, I never have issues. And people who complain about RNG are just angry people. A main point in this game is RNG, so that even a bad player or someone who doesn't spend money, still has a chance to win.

In the battlegrounds mode, 95% of my games where I make it down to the top 2 the game automaticly concedes and forces me into second place. This bug is incredibly infuriating and has gone from being an occasional annoyance to a game breaking issue. Doesn't matter what character you have, how strong your board is, how many rounds in you are, if you make it from the top 3 to the top 2 you are forcibly surrendered and given second place. No point in playing anymore.

Nowhere near the amount of gold feely given to even play one mode but when I pay $2 an entry and game lags out while matchmaking and I come back to a lose during a 4 win streak or game does an out of nowhere update and ends a run I played 1 game of that just costs $2 but when I submit proof get told the game does not compensate like wow!!!

From the standpoint of a player that started early 2015, the game is everything you'd expect and then some. There are alot of players that cry pay to win, but it simply isn't true. While paying into it makes it far easier and quicker to play competitively, you %100 can do it without paying. I hit legendary rank with a basic handlock warlock and a dragon priest years ago, and I didn't spend a dime.

Hearthstone can be fun. It can also be frustrating. However, people greatly exaggerate that the game is pay to win. The low rating is because the app is trash. Far too often are my games impacted by the app forcing me to restart/disconnecting. The update downloads are ridiculous. You would think a company as huge as Activision Blizzard could figure this stuff out.

I'll never stop playing this game and I'm so thankful for the updates they consistently make for it, it keeps it fresh and exciting. You don't really need a collection, you play against what other people are to the point you can reliably guess at least 25 of your opponents 30 card deck despite featuring almost 3,000 cards in the game. Want to experiment in wild with old expansions? Sorry, they're too slow and have been power crept to nothing. Standard your game? Since the devs only release 7 or 8 cards per class, it's a crapshoot if new cards are more creep or useless. Won't matter, takes about a week before everyone is same

Good time killer, but sadly greed wins out. The price of buying decks or expansions is outrageous for what you actually get. Add to it that the RNG algorithms aren't very good and this game still needs a lot of work. Example, any cards I mulligan, I'm almost guaranteed to redraw within 2 turns.

Used to really enjoy, but Blizz seems intent on destroying any good will they have with their fanbase. There's a happy medium between all free and dangling us by our ankles. Actually, LoL is entirely f2p yet I've spend nearly $2k on the game because I want to support the devs and like their content. Not sure what Blizz is thinking other than wringing out the last few drops from a formerly fantastic game. EDIT: +2 stars for fixing rewards. -2 for the game failing to connect to download always.

The game getting more P2W with the battle pass and battleground pass. Gold isnt easily acquired and to make competitive decks is just plainly impossible without spending money. I've played this game sense it released so here is my honest review. There are multiple play mode options that have distinct play stayles that keep the game fun. I've personally grown to love the "Battle Grounds" option which is 100% free but you do have the option to pay $ or in game currency to unlock your statistics and 2 more hero options. The Ladder mode in this game is hard to be competitive unless you play a LOT or pay to play. Developers need to work on their greed but fun all in all.

Oldest reward model ever. I had to spent 400-600$ per expansion to get every card. There's no "luck" about it at all. It's just a rigged engine that barely rewards you. I play gwent as well, and F2P rewards filled MOST of my library. I give CDPR 60$ per expansion and the monthly rewards fill out the rest quickly. I spent years trying to build a collection in HS and I just couldn't keep up with the literal P2W aspect that forces you to spend 100$ just for a single deck. Unless Bliz fixes, 👎

Animations in battlegrounds take way way way too long. Between timer, long animations, and then hearthstone being a fairly demanding app, the animations will hang for 4 seconds at a time. I factory reset my phone. Nothing worked. In response to Blizzard: Tech support shouldn't be who I go to when there are hundreds or even thousands of us who are experiencing the same issue. That's a bug issue, and needs to be addressed by programmers who are treated properly by the company they work for.

There is a thing where if you're on mobile data and try to play you just can't load hearthstone. It's been about a year blizzard. I WOULD NOT recommend this game if they continue to just ignore half their player base. Once the patch comes in that lets me play the game I've put money into, ill be happy again

Very cool game, recommend it for sure. I am happy about upcoming mode. The one bad thing is that standard mode is becoming agro, and this doesn't make me happy. Wish hearthstone will be good. Oh, and also my phone has unusual screen size and hearthstone in menu looks not done on the edges of screen(just blue color, nothing else).(I don't understand guys that say that you can't build a deck without donations.)

I have played this game since it first cam out between my computer and several different phones over the years. There are, and have been for well over a year, connectivity issues on mobile devices that have to do with mobile data. A quick forum search will reveal several pages of conversations about it and yet it still has not been fixed. Let's not he wrong, you can still play on mobile devices but you have to be connected to WiFi and not data. So if you are on a bus you can't play.

The game is nice, but there are currently a few bugs in battlegrounds. Everytime I try to play duels on my PC, the game crashes.

Fun digital card game. Extremely easy to start and learn. Long time to master. My only nitpick is it is has a high reliance on meta status. If you aren't playing the #1 or 2 decks you don't have muchchance of serious advancement in the ranks(but the meta does shift fairly frequently due to balances and patches.)

Updated: Blizzard support is absolute garbage. Haven't been able to play in duels game mode for days because of the "error starting game" bug. They know about it and their fix was "wait til forged in the barrens releases and try again".

Unable to connect with mobile data (Sprint) since May 2020. WiFi works fine. No comments from Blizz support on Tech Support forum since June. They'd rather gouge players' gold income and release new sets than see to it that their game is working. Just a few months away now from this problem's first birthday.

Almost a year now game no longer plays on sprint Android 10e using cellular data. Only on wifi. Pretty useless. Duel mode still is hot garbage. Loss after loss. Hate it. Battlegrounds still fun. Would boost stars if they fixed cellular issues... if. New play mode forces you to play loss after loss in rank mode. You still lose stars in rank mode. You at least used to get better match up in normal mode. Now that's gone. Worst move they've made. Battle grounds only fun thing left in the game.

App stillconstantly freezes and crashes. Sucks particularly for duels where you have only three lives. Only worth playing on pc which is inconvenient. Phone version sucks and end up losing more often than not due to previously mentioned issues.

Great strategy card game with plenty of updates and variety to keep things fresh. Tons of solo content and alternative game modes. No paywalls or pay to win, just takes longer to collect everything if you don't spend money. Devs have been diligent about fixing issues whenever they come up.

This game is broken beyond repair! Blizzard dropped the ball so hard on something that had such great potential. 3 years ago this was a blast to play, but constantly releasing the same broken mechanics and the most unoriginal gaming community that you can imagine leaves you playing against the exact same decks over and over and over again. Absolute trash and not worth the 5gb of space it takes to play

Hey everyone for your convenience we made this only work when connected to WiFi. Why did we do this? Because we don't believe you are smart enough to be in control of your carrier's data limits. Also, we still live in the stone age where people have data limits. If you have unlimited data, well too bad. It's WiFi only! You're welcome

Suggestions: 1) Make other modes more rewarding, not just Play. 2) Make ALL shop items buyable with X gold. 3) When buying packs with gold, let us choose how many, 50 pack 1 at a time is tedious. 4) Bring Prizes back to BG permanently. 5) Rebalance of ELEMENTALS in BG, they are still too O.P. 6) Change Amalgadoms deathrattle adapt in BG go AMALGYMS at least please. The plants don't Co-op with anything. 7) Guaranteed legendary every so many packs.
