So far, loving the app although it took a while to create my routines since there are a lot of repeated supersets with decreasing rep counts. I'm finding that the calendar lets me schedule routines in advance but once scheduled I can't change them. Is there a way to remove a scheduled routine? EDIT: thanks for the response I didn't notice the icon change!

  2. Valerio Corso-avatar

Awesome app, works very well with Samsung active 2. Will you add a progressive overload planning feature? I increase the weight by a fixed percentage every week, would be cool if it was automatically done.

  3. Ben Tank-avatar

Switched from Strong purely based on the excessive cost despite it fitting most of my needs. I'm a big supporter of paying creators for their work couldn't justify the ongoing cost. I ended up subscribing to GymRun as the standalone watch app is a really useful addition I use regularly. GymRun is more configurable for my needs than Strong however the options can be confusing and I often end up clicking through many sections before being able to achieve what I want. Once setup though it's great.

  4. Doug Loa-avatar

This is EXACTLY the app I was looking for. I've been wanting to work out for awhile and looked at several different apps. The Gym Run app is absolutely THE BEST work out app. It has a extensive list of exercises and videos if you don't know how to do it. The logs are a perfect gage to see where you have come from and to where you are going. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS APP!

  5. James Finch-avatar

By far the best app that I have found for tracking my workouts. Really like the compatibility with may galaxy watch. The only problem with the watch is that when wearing gloves the on/off button gets pressed all the time without me knowing. If there would be away that thie app disabled this button that would be amazing.

  6. Troy Smith-avatar

This app finally let me use the watch the way I hoped it would have worked it of the box. Actually makes the watch in to a valid fitness companion. Creating and editing work outs is a bit clunky, but once they are in you are set.

  7. Austin Texas-avatar

Been loving this app for somple tracking of my workouts. Exports data to google drive, alliws creating custom exercises including a photo with custom cariables. i have a set of upper body gym exercises, lower body exercises, set of elastic band exercises, set of elastic loop exercises instead of the muscle groups. instead of using Monday, Tuesday.... i just pick one of my sets. I wish it had better visual graphics to see progress.

  8. Rex Leonis-avatar

I need the ability to set AUTOMATIC duration of working sets like I can for the rest time. What does this mean? Currently, I have to MANUALLY press the button to finish the set. If I forget (which I do often), then the timer runs indefinitely and the rest interval never begins! I'm completely unaware of this so the workout falls apart before I realise that I forgot to press the finish button for the set. If working sets would AUTOMATICALLY switch to rest time after a defined time, I'd be grateful. EDIT: I first submitted this review last year and developer replied that it's easy to implement. This feature is still sorely missing after all this time. Also, the most popular exercise amongst females the HIP THRUST is missing from the list of available exercises.

It a great app for samsung watch active. I hope one day they include the image picture of the current excercise in the watch because i dont remember every exercise and i need to go to the phone to check it. Please! can you put the image of the excercise in the watch app too? Thanks

  10. Alapar Varga-avatar

Great app. Can we have Dark2 theme completely black? There is only Light, Dark1 and Dark2, which is darker then Dark1, but is not truly black. I can't see at the options any Black theme with a completly black background, which would turn off amoled pixels and would save batteries.

  11. Mark Nott-avatar

Very solid exercise base and flexible enough for any workout routine

  12. Andy Lee-avatar

Great app works well with samsung smart watch. Would just like for the ability to sync with samsung health and to record heart beat better during reps. :)

  13. Graham Turner-avatar

Really enjoying this app I've lost count how many I've tried both on iOS and Android Would love it to be on both with transferable data

  14. Lucky Japan-avatar

I'm using it every time to track my efforts and success 。 only 4 stars because you can't decide where to store your backup and only 1 year is memorised 。 so if you haven't exported your data, it's gone... Thank you for the answer. Then it seems that I was wrong with my start date of first usage... 😁 Then I'll change it to 5 stars 👍 (how to backup I know of course...)

  15. Bob Dunn-avatar

Requirement: Simple tabata style timer, associate with group of activities, control via Samsung SmartWatch and then feed data to Samsung Health. This is the only App I could find that addresses the key requirements (particularly the Samsung Health integration). GymRun does far more than I was looking for and perhaps because of it, lacks some refinement and I will be honest, I found it tricky to use to start with and even now after a few hours of setting it up, I still think it's a bit clunky to use . However, once you start to get your head around it, there are some great additional features and I'm pretty sure is configurable for just about any type of exercise. I still cannot get it exactly to work as I would ideally like it, so I'll keep trying and not mark it down for that. Summary, if you want a fully featured app that allows a wealth of personalisation and configuration, give this a try. One final point, I can't find the contact information as I do have some suggestions.

Really good app, very clean design. Not a very extensive exercise database, but it is possible to add "custom" exercises by hand. I personally think this app is one of the best fitness apps out there at the moment. I have been using it for over two years now to keep track of my workouts and every time I have tried out another app, I eventually came back to this one. Recently bought the premium version for some additional features I consider useful, but even without them the app works great.

  17. Ginny Burns-avatar

Pros: * Easy to create new exercises * Easy to create supersets * Has an import feature, but you need to put it in the right format, which if you are doing the basics: squats, deadlifts, bench press, etc, you should be fine. But don't expect it to know what "Reverse Outer Thigh for Butt" means and import properly. 😄 It is easy to use and shows up on your screen when you don't have the app open so you can update your sets and reps without opening the app, which is nice.

  18. Ariel Avi-avatar

Simple, yet powerful. I've been in the search for a good workout logging app for a while, finally got one that fulfills my needs. I use also with Galaxy Watch, which provides a simple interface to control rest times and the program. I may not know all the functions of the app yet, but would be nice to have a way to program the weight and reps variation along the program.

I love this app, but have a question on how to navigate using the watch. I've looked all over and can't find any tutorials. I have my workouts set up to include multiple exercise options that provide the same results (machine chest press and bench press) in the same workout, so that I can change things up periodically, Because of this, I need to be able to skip an exercise to get to the next one (on my watch) is this done? Also, how do you end the workout on your phone? Overall, this is a great app, and just looking to find the answers to these questions.

  20. Michael Paterson-avatar

I have used this app twice now and I'm very impressed with the way you can adjust the workouts and fit in new exercises. The only downside is the lack of Olympic lifting and gymnastics ring exercises but you can make your own if you put the time into making your own workout program. I can't get it to upload or link to my Google fit account though but I don't really care about that anyway.

  21. Uday Nyaharkar-avatar

Just started exploring the paid version. The app is really nice and smartwatch integration is a big plus. I have been trying to create my own routine with custom exercises ... more body weight and dumbell routines for home gym. Some of the exercises are 30 sec sets but the app does not allow anything less then a minute. Maybe I am doing something wrong??

  22. Chris Johnson-avatar

Very nice app!! You can customize your workout, using muscle groups as a guide. I really like how I can start my workout, and it shows me the exercise I'm one. When I mark it complete, it starts the rest timer and proceeds to the next exercise. I REALLY like how it integrates into S Health, where I keep all of my health information. Great job on this GymRun team!!

  23. Martin Max-avatar

The best workout app ever. I've tried and paid a lot of them but no one worked as good as this one. Especially with Wear OS. Thank you for your work! OK, I have to add this - these guys are absolutely awesome. I sent them some ideas how to improve the app and they implemented it in no time. Well done! Thank you!

  24. Airton Esmerio-avatar

Very simple and useful! I've installed at least 10 apps trying to get an app to control my workout exercise and progress. All of them had ridiculous expansive subscription price. This one here does all the work and affordable life time subscription... I think we less than 6 Euro. I fully recommend this app.

  25. Parth Oomphy-avatar

Plz make ios version so that there is cross platform data sync as I'm switching to ios but I want to transfer my app data to it. I'll have to choose another app for gym purpose due to non availability of this app on Apple app store! Je fit is a good option.. It even has a smartwatch app.. plz include this feature and your app will be 10x better

  26. Dan Chapman-avatar

It's good for tracking bodybuilding workout with different weights and sets. I can't make supersets which is annoying. If you want WearOS standalone app (sync later when connected to your phone) it costs $9 for that feature and $9 for premium. That said, it works quite well after you pay.

  27. Johnr-avatar

It's really easy to use and start a new routine. I can easily edit any mistake I make. I can configure rest time, weight, reps, and sets easily. I do wish it had the opportunity to add stretching at the end of the workout.

  28. Omar Azam-avatar

Used different gym apps for years and I have to say this one is by far the best in every way. I am also using it on my Galaxy watch and its piece of cake. Please pass this to the team, Well done and keep up the hard work.

  29. StamLuk TV-avatar

Love it. The way that you can just add your exercices and then strart your workout is amazing. Also love that you cam see how manu calories you have burned and more. Would recommend buying the lifetime premium for just 5$

By far the best gym logging app on Android, I've tried them all! I bought the pro version for Google fit sync but it looks it only syncs workout data and not weight? Please add automatic sync of my weight I add in gymrun to Google fit.

  31. David Valent-avatar

Love the app. I use it with the companion for the galaxy watch and makes it super easy to log workouts and get rest cues. Would be great to get separate graphs for individual exercises to check on progress

Hi, I downloaded the app for my Galaxy watch active 2 and it seems to work fine. The main issue is that it doesn't sync with Samsung health. Please guide me through the process

  33. Jason LaRose-avatar

I love this app. I can track my weights and reps and view some reports. What I love most is it's a onetime payment to go premium. Other weight training apps have lost me at the monthly or yearly subscription.

  34. Matthew Carroll-avatar

    Matthew Carroll

I've only downloaded and looked around so far, however with a lot of the exercises I do I superset 2 or 3 back to back as a set in my routine. I haven't seen a way to set that up.

  35. Marcus Johansson-avatar

    Marcus Johansson

Perfect for recording workouts. Not too complicated and not too basic. Bought the pro version just to support the devs.

  36. Damian Foster-avatar

I been using the app for about 6 months. It's about time they pay to it. I was wounding how long it would take before they fix those issues. I hope they keep making it better.

  37. Michael Lennon-avatar

very helpful and easy to use app, would be handy if for the diagrams they had a short animation of the exercise to jog your memory of it

  38. Paul Starkey-avatar

Hi I paid for the premium app and found it great however it seems if I want to use my smart watch to log workouts Instead of picking up my phone each set I have to pay extra again. Is that correct?

  39. No Name-avatar

Best workout app! I also use companion app on my Galaxy Watch! I highly recommend! Thank you!

  40. Barry Smith-avatar

Used this for six weeks now and, while limited in exercises, found it to be the best free app available

  42. Robert Willis-avatar

Fair. Great concept and plenty of room for improvements. Hope they continue to develop app.

  43. Timur Dincer-avatar

Great app, large easy to use buttons, black dark mode.

Best app for workout. I train with this app 2 years.

Great app! By far the best overall fitness tracking and logging apps for Android! There are many things I would improve, but the potential and structure of this app is superior to any app I've used. I will try and give my opinion on the highlights of the application as well as some ideas for improvement. Pros: 1) This app has a compatible smart watch app that is very useful. 2) There is the ability to create your own exercises with complete customization of the parameters and organization including thumbnails, muscle group identification, and naming. 3) The rest and timed functions are amazing and something I love having considering it works seamlessly with the logging. The auto start function of the rest is great. 4) The interface is easy and streamlined while also giving you complete control over the organization of your plan. 5) The extensive charting and stats are welcome, but these are not big for me as I don't follow my bmi, weight, etc... that seriously, but again its nice that it's there in the case I decide to be more aware of those measurements. Things to improve/suggestions: 1) I noticed that if I have an exercise (ie. stretching) set for a 2 minute duration using the timed start button method, I cannot use this function on the smart watch app. The timer works on the phone app but not on the standalone or companion app. The watch app simply lets me hit the check box to move on. I want the watch to have a play button and timer go as I do these types of timed exercises. If this is user error, some help would be awesome, but if not I think this feature should be added. 2) The exercises should auto-advance after the rest period concludes for the previous exercise on the phone app. The smart watch app does this well, but the phone does not. If you are a pure smart watch user during your workouts you will notice that the phone won't catch up to your watch until after you complete and log the first set for that exercise. 3) I noticed that when I try and "Finish Workout" from the smart watch companion app the phone will not do the same. The watch app will close as normal but the phone app will remain wherever you left the workout at. A sync for that would be nice. It does work the other way around (if you finish the workout from the phone first, the watch will also close). 4) I set the rest timer to give me a 10 second warning but I don't get any notification when the rest is about to be over. It appears that this function doesn't work in any way (on the phone or watch) unless I am misunderstanding the function of the "Warn." in the rest timer. 5) I would have the watch and phone be synced more fluidly and constantly in specific situations. I found that if you start the rest timer on the phone but then reduce or extend the time on either device they will not re-sync leading to misalignment. This is especially frustrating because one device can be multiple logs ahead of the other. Not this issue only happens when the watch is ahead of the phone. If the phone is counting down and for any reason is ahead of the watch. when you you log the next set the watch will re-sync to the new rest time. This does not happen the other way around as I mentioned earlier. Also, I think that when you log an exercise on the watch and the rest timer begins, the phone should also get a rest timer. Currently the phone rest timer will be unaffected. Summary: Based on my suggestions, a main theme would be a more seamless connection from the watch to phone when the watch is being used to control the logging. Most of the issues come from problems with the watch being able to control the phone. IF any user doesn't go back and forth they won't have much issue from what I can see. However, for those who want to hybrid their experience and use both devices for logging they may run into some obstacles. Again, this is a great app and worth the money for any if not all of the purchases available. I hope this absolutely huge review was helpful for potential customers and the development team!

  48. Al Terigo-avatar

This app delivers. Simple enough to be useful, detailed enough to keep me motivated and with the companion app for smart watches, it makes working out so easy, without the need to keep looking at your phone. I changed phones and had some issues after not using the app for a while (all related to my lack of reading info correctly) but support was great. I bought the stand alone version for the watch when I didn't need to, but the developer immediately refunded me. Communication was brilliant too.

Was looking for fitness diary + smartwatch integration. At first I was skeptical of paying $14 for premium and standalone watch app but it was definitely worth it! The app is very easy to use and the smartwatch integration is SPOT ON! (using Galaxy Active 2) I was very impressed with how simple it was to track my workout on my watch and then sync it to the app! Great features like autofill, statistics, trends, past workout history makes it easy to track your weights and reps.

  51. Yuri Deglin-avatar

I love this app. It is designed very thoughtfully to be vary usable and highly customizable. Unlike other apps it is NOT overloaded with graphics and moving screens (which for me quickly became annoying with other apps). Instead developer keeps it simple and customizable. The only thing I wish it would have: database of exersyizes with resistance bands.

  52. Matthew Whelpton-avatar

A good clean app with plenty of functionality. The standalone support for Wear OS is excellent and a game changer for me. Hope to see more extensions to the watch functionality. I'd particularly appreciate a countdown timer for timed exercises which would buzz on time-up - while keeping a track on actual time in case one pushes through to a longer time. Keep up the good work!

  53. Eric Sickbert-avatar

Perfect app to help you get through your programs.

  54. Jonathan Baker-avatar

I find this app to be the most powerful, flexible option for the way I work out. It is easy to add pyramids, super sets, or that hip new exercise that everyone is doing, but also tracks traditional lifting extremely well. The smartwatch apps are a nice feature to have as well.

  55. Carl Maklad-avatar

So far so good, I like it. Most probably I will pay for the premium version. One question though, can this app automatically go to the next exercise (@ the end of this exercise) instead of me having to navigate to it? Thanks.

  56. Bobby Phillipps-avatar

    Bobby Phillipps

Excellent app! I love the summary and statistic pages to track your progress, and that you can see how much work you did the last time you did a workout (benched 135 last time? bench 145 this time!). The ONLY thing that would make this a perfect all in one fitness app would be some nutrition tracking. That might be out of the scope for this app, though, so I don't feel the need to knock a star. If you need something to track your workout progress, and make sure you're hitting all your marks, this is the perfect app.

  57. Brian-avatar

I've been using this app for months. It's extremely useful. Helps me see if I'm progressing, helps me listen to my body and know when to take it easy, helps me know when to back off on the weight and avoid injury (using notes). I've been heading to the gym for 5 weeks now and I'm on a roll thanks to you guys (and a lot of my own hard work haha).

  58. A Google user-avatar

Perfect This works great it makes sure you develop the perfect workout for you. And maintains a log daily , times your rest, everything I have fun looking at all available exercise and making it my workout, I look forward to the next day to see how hard I can push myself and take it to the next level. It would be good if it suggested time to up your workout oh well do it at your own pace. My training makes me drive harder. To sum it up I love this. Good luck to everyone

  59. James Hart-avatar

This app is fantastic, I tried many different apps to keep track of my work outs, but this is by the far the best. It's simple and straightforward to use, you can search the vast array of exercises and add the weight and reps. But one of my favourite features with this app, is you can input your own custom exercises - a rare feature!! Also the history is excellent way of tracking your progress. App wouldnt update, but it was a problem with the Play Store rather than the app. My apologies!

  60. Stephen Wilson-avatar

The app is excellent, works as advertised and it's a great workout companion! I have a smartwatch I wanted to use with the app instead of bringing my phone along to each machine so I paid $5 for the premium version. It, too, works great. I was happy to hear of the release of the WearOS standalone app BUT I see the developers want ANOTHER $5 for the use of this functionality? Seems if I've already paid $5 for premium for use on my watch, I shouldn't be charged again. Would be 5 stars otherwise.

  61. J D-avatar

Great app, it doesn't try to be smarter than user. Custom log parameters (a paid feature) should be defined per single exercise. That way user can measure difficulty level of bodyweight progressions.

  62. A Google user-avatar

App looks good (dark mode always a winner) but needs some tweaks to get over 3 stars. Settings need to be categorized better. Keep condensed font but increase the font size a bit, too much negative space. Wear OS companion app needs to be more robust & fat finger friendly. Being able to add additional sets on the wearable device should be an option, not just the phone. Also being able to continue the timer when swiping away to see the next exercise would be helpful. Great potential here!!

  63. Sven Arnarsson-avatar

I really enjoy using GymRun, but I must admit I think they're extremely greedy. I've paid twice now. Once to be able to sync with Samsung Health and once for manually being able to set my sets, reps etc. Second time I thought it was a bit steep to ask for another payment, when it didn't say anywhere that it was a one time fee JUST for that feature. But I let them have my money because I like the app. I've recently acquired a smart watch and now I have to additionally to use that feature. Greedy.

  64. Meni Fo-avatar

I have rated this app with 5 stars cause there weren't 6 stars. After having tested a 30+ apps for the past couple of months, at last, I have found an app which has everything I was looking for in an app. And it's completely free. I would gladly pay for an app like this. The developers have done a great, thorough work and have come up with an all-rounded app. However, I would like to see better exercise graphic illustrations in a future update, even though the app provides YouTube links for each exercise. Well done boys!!!

  65. Jermaine Taylor-avatar

    Jermaine Taylor

Good app. Has most workouts and option to add what you want, create plans. Swap an exercise during your workout, adjust rest time, tracks history from previous workouts...makes progression easier. Standalone is decent. Tried it once on my Gear S3 without my phone, the timer started acting funny halfway through my workout and wouldn't let me save my sets. After I was finally able to finish and log the rest of the workout, the app kept randomly opening on my watch. I had to restart my watch.

  66. Nate-avatar

This app is very ambitious, hence the 5 stars. It's one of the few fit tracking apps that includes Galaxy Watch compatibility. The downside to all of this is it can be a little clunky and not as smooth in UI as other apps. If you want an app that you can truly customize your unique workout in go for this. If you want something more simple and user friend I'd recommend something else.

  67. Aaron Stanley-avatar

Coming from iOS and using Gymaholic on the Apple Watch has set a very high bar for weight lifting apps and trackers. To say the least, it has been difficult finding a comparable application with a companion app for the Galaxy Watch. Gymrun is the closest, and best, I've found thus far. It does just about everything I need it to do with the exception of tracking my heart rate per exercise. Looking forward to future updates and features.

  68. Calogero Mauro Buscemi-avatar

    Calogero Mauro Buscemi

Almost perfect App, made from the point of view of the end user who is making a workout in the Gym and have to quickly adjust weight, repetitions and so on. To do: add the possibility to have and choose for a complete backup. The images I added for personalized exercises are not backed up. However, I don't want to make a complete backup each time I finish a workout. I need to choose this option that is even currently missing.

Autofill fills random values. I tried running the same exercise over and over with autofill turned on (to test this feature), the values being overwritten didn't make any sense to me. They weren't the copy of last exercise. What am I doing wrong? Update: Sent an email with details. It works as expected if you don't run the same workout over and over on the same day. Changed rating back to 5 since this isn't and intended use case.

Enjoy using this app. Love the Galaxy Watch integration! Wish there was a web version to create my workouts. Have been using the GymRun for months. It fits my needs do nicely. I started off using the pre-built workouts and them built my own. Love the autofill function. Love the dark theme. Love that I can easily make changes to my reps and sets and even swap out exercises on the fly. Just got a Samsung Galaxy Watch for Christmas and paid the $5 to use the integration. Freaking love it!

Excellent app, does everything I need. can create custom workouts with varying sets, reps, weights for each different excercise as well as body weight options. Also the option to create/add custom exercises if what you're doing isn't in the (already verified large) library. Gives theoretical 1RM, volume PRs, weight PRs etc. Brilliant app, would happily pay for it!

The watch standalone app doesn't work as expected. You can't add dropsets to your last set, you can't check what you lifted last time (except the upcoming rep), you can't change an excersise on the fly or add an extra exercise. You can't even finish a routine if you don't do all the exercises in it!? There is really a lot to improve before the standalone version is worth the extra money..

Great app overall, but it seems to have a pretty steep learning curve. A function I can't tell if it has is to make custom workouts that have different weights for exercises used in other workouts. For example, when I try to make a light workout day, if I add exercises at a lower weight, it lowers the weight on my normal weight exercise routine. If it's not included it definitely should be.

Best app (from all the ones I've tried) and a big high five to the developers for not using a subscription model. Even if the price was higher, it's well worth it! Also, the free version has really nice features to start with and it doesn't feel like they are pushing the premium version, so another high five for it!

Hello I just payed for the service, but it seems that I do not have premium unlocked. What is going on? Hello, So after the previous problem, my app on the galaxy watch, won't sync with the one on my phone. It worked fine for a few days, and now I can not get it to sync. It just keeps loading to no end. I manage to solve the issue, but just after I uninstalled both apps on phone and watch. Waiting to see if this will happen again in the next days.

Excellent app that continues to improve, the developer is super responsive. Switched over for the Gear smart watch support but the app is also great. The exercise database needs to improve but you can customize new ones from within the app. Paid for premium to use the smart watch companion app, i think it's worth it especially if the support continues the same way.

I have never used the application on my mobile. This review is ONLY about the standalone app for samsung galaxy watch. The UI is simple and easy to use. I have a few suggestions though. 1. Can u add option to skip/postpone exercise? 2. Once i 'start workout' it directly shows "tick" symbol. I think timer should start and later "tick" can be done once over. This leads to confusion in middle of workout. 3. History option makes timer not useful. 4. Can you add icons "mon", "tue" like mobile?

Cool app. Core functionality is broad and nicely customizable. However I think it would be a great idea to integrate heart rate monitoring. Especially that you already have some smartwatch integration. Keeping track of HR and saving it in workout history would be awesome. This is available in some major iphone apps but yet to be found on android. By introducing this you would stand out from the rest of fitness trackers here :)

Literally everything I need, set up how many sets, reps, weight and get going. After every set you, with one tap you can log it or you can log that you did different number of reps or weight than you planned. Then it automatically takes you to the next exercise in the routine. If you have a smart watch and a few pounds to spare, you can do all that on your watch without having to fiddle with your phone. Workout routines and exercises are very customisable, down to what it's named. Brilliant!

I think this app is great, in my opinion the best app for recording your gym workout. I have tried a few apps in the past to record my workout but fancied one with no ads. I enyoyed this one so much I payed for the premium version.. U really don't need to though, the free app is perfect, easy to use and not over complicated, it's simple has everything you need and is add free. I only upgraded as I wanted to know how many cals I burn on each workout

I tried several apps and this one is really the best one. Very easy to use and intuitive, I really appreciate that you can save your workouts on your Google Drive (really helped me when I broke my phone), and that you can sync with Google Fit or Samsung Health. This week I even discovered it supported my Samsung watch, awesome !

This app is great! It tracks all my workouts which helps me to push harder each time I work out. It provides me with new and different exercises to try which is a major plus. It's got preloaded workouts, keeps stats, and even keeps track of all your personal records. what more can I say, its like having a personal trainer in your pocket.

  83. Aerostoth-avatar

This app seems to be the best gym tracking app out there. Logging routines is a breeze. Programming is extremely easy, and you can export and share your program. I cannot recommend this enough. It's a huge motivator to see your personal records displayed this clearly. Things to improve: +An API system. Currently the only way to get your data out is via manual export. +Heartrate tracking and cardio features. +Connection with MyFitnessPal

Great app. However, I would love to see some completely customizable warmup routines being implemented soon, making the transition between warmup and work sets more fluid. Furthermore, I'd highly appreciate an enhancement of adding training goals (for Powerlifting e.g.) Edit: Furthermore, with the implementation of customizable training parameters additional to weight & reps, I would like to set goals for customized parameters like my created 'RPE' in the preview just like I can target reps.

The best gym/workout management app on Android (of those that I've tried). It does have room for improvement, and the new interface is a prettier, though imperfect. Continued support by the dev is a HUGE bonus which I am happy to support in return. The ability to delete workout plans would be nice, too. I'm glad to see progress on a standalone Wear OS app available as a $4.99 IAP and am awaiting approval by Google (which have already purchased to support further development).

Long awaited an app that recalled JEFIT which was compatible with Samsung Gear. This app brings the functionality of JEFIT, its rest timer, weight tracker and database. Highly recommend. Note: One thing to know. In order to utilize the companion app (watch) functions, you will have to purchase the premium version.

Recently started a gym program & this app has been great to help me set up a program to follow. When i get to each machine, i can see at a glance at the app, via the lockscreen, what weight i need to set & the reps I'm doing, & tick them off when finished - very happy to pay for this feature. I walk regularly too & use Samsung health to track time/distance of walks. Would be fantastic if I could do that in this app instead, so that all my exercise is in 1 app. Would be 5 stars with this feature.

  88. Daniel Ribero-avatar

Best app for gym tracking purposes! Developer addressed concerns instantly with auto fill and syncing issues. I'll continue to test but this app is amazing for use with galaxy watch during a workout. I'm allowed to input the data and keep track of it throughout my workout on my wrist. Highly recommend. Some things are rough around the edges but the support is unbelievable. To dev: I'll be sure to make some bug/feature requests via email!

Great app, went straight for the paid version having used apps like this before. Integration with my Samsung Watch is perfect, only thing missing is heart rate data. If they nail that, then we have a winner. Id pay extra for better cardio tracking, so for running, gps would good, along with heart and pace etc, with the ability to sync to Samsung Health and/or Strava. One for the developers feature list! Most app lack having everything in one place, so it would definitely be a bonus.

  90. Adam Burgoyne-avatar

Started using this instead of the notebook I've used for years after I purchased a Samsung smart watch. Overall I'm pretty happy with the app and watch combo! In regards to the standalone watch app: - Been mentioned previously but HR data would be good. - Get rid of the "Ok" popups on the watch. They're really annoying when moving sets and not really required given it's obvious when you've changed set. - Bezel doesn't work in the menus..?

  91. Dave Claycombe-avatar

Loving the app so far. Purchased Premium for the connected Galaxy watch app. Finding out cool things this does all the time (like plate weights). I'd love to have music control on the phone app so I don't have to bounce around, but that's a luxury. Is there a way to add a workout from my PC, like through a CSV or something? I see you can backup your completed workout logs to a CSV, but I don't see a way to add a new routine or workout plan. Great app. Keep up the dominating work.

  92. Brack Et-avatar

Currently beats out the infamous app "Strong". seems GymRun is being improved at a much faster rate abd already has more advanced features than most apps. really happy with the quick and detailed responses from devs regarding some feature questions i asked. an easy premium purchase, not willing to buy apps that ask for outrageous subscription fees.. you know who you are ..

This is a great app for a Samsung watch!

So far this app ticks most of the boxes for a fitness training logbook. Clean, modern layout coupled with well thought out functionality. Also it links to my smart watch! 4 stars because I bought the additional package of editable metrics, but it appears that you can only edit body measurements and not exercise data fields. Needs a few more customisation options to get 5 stars. 1/12/19 Edit: updated the review to 5 stars now that I finally found the "manage log parameters" in the logging screen

  95. Julian Vilsten-avatar

Excellent app. I spent ages looking for one with a good implementation for supersets but this is also just generally more intuitive than others. Love some of the subtle features such as copying an excercise which allows for variations to be easily created. A couple feature requests. An option to create custom excercise groupings. I.e., it would be great to be able to group my excercises by push or pull movements, or by equipment required. It would also be good to have an "undo" within the set.

  96. Tom Jw-avatar

My experience has generally be good. I use the phone app and the Samsung Watch app at the same time. I will be more than willing to give five stars once the watch app adds heart rate monitoring for the duration of my gym session and when an additional feature is added to enable machine weights to be added in equivalent plate / brick settings, for example, setting a chest flies machine to brick 3 which equals 30kg. that said, I'm enjoying using Gymrun and I did pay for the premium version.

Will be cool if on the gear watch user be able to see heart rate during rest time, between exercises. Thank you Upd. I thought after purchase I will be able to write down exercises with my watch. But if phone is not with me - it doesn't work!!! It is useless in such way, very disappointed.

  98. Amrit B-avatar

Excellent app, great for tracking progress and seeing f you've improved!! Easy to use once you get the hang of things, lots of exercises and can add your own. You can set the break timer inbetween sets to a voice i think she says 'pause ended' its great because it doesnt stop your music if listening at same time!! It can backup your data, only reason i added 4 star it sometimes looses my photobook data if anyone could advise on this that would be great.

  99. thalida-avatar

Great app! It would be amazing if I could connect it to nokia heath mate. I am a begginer in the gym. This app shows what exercise can I do for each part of body, great visuals of the exercises plus it has many options for them. For almost all the equipement is in a gym!!!

I'm a bit confused about the smartwatch integration. I own a Huawei Watch 1 on the latest Wear OS 2.0 but the synchronization is at best random. In fact it is completely unusable because the actions on the phone are sometimes not synced ti the watch and the other way round edit: the issue was that my phone has very aggressive default settings for background apps. after changing the settings to "Manual" everything works fine now. updated the rating to 5 🌟
