I used the app on the Galaxy S21+. It worked fine. I returned the phone and bought the same phone again to get a free gift. The app does not work on the new phone. I get error code [OR-TAPSH-08]. Google have attempted to fix 4 times and I have to wait 24-48 hours to try the app again. They email me and say its fixed! I am not impressed.

Service has improved a lot since its launch. But we need to validate cards twice, on phone and on the watch. I'm also facing issues in offline mode. I never know when I need to be online or not. When there is no network, it sometimes work and sometimes not 🤷. Playstore is definitely not the place to follow up user review, you're asking me to type all characters of a web link to reach the customer support 😳. Google software experience became bad, and it's all product policy and vision related.

I've opted to come away from Google Pay as my default NFC payment app and instead gone with Samsung Pay. The main reason is it doesn't allow you to authorise payments with Biometrics (Fingerprint or Facial Recognition). As long as your phone is unlocked and held near a card reader it takes the payment automatically. This is rather concerning for security reasons, as a thief with a card reader could see you access your phone on the street approach you and potentially steal money in this way.

Keeps on removing my card.. for some reason over the past 6 weeks ever do often my card is randomly removed from Google pay I could use it all week and suddenly when I go to scan and pay my card will appear on screen but then the details will be removed. I'm forced to step aside or hold up the cue while I add them again. No explanation as to why this is happening.

Remember when this app use to allow you to use multiple profiles, and you could have it set up to automatically transfer payments to a bank account so you didn't have to do it manually? I do. Man, those were the days, not having to remember to manually transfer money to my bank account so I could use it. Now I'm forced to use the new Google Pay with half the useful functionality of this app, but by golly we got a whole bunch of new bloated and unnecessary functionality. Typical Google, take a good thing and screw it up with a "new" app. P.S. I wrote this review here because it appears Google has disabled reviews for the new Google Pay because I can't write one. I've tried with two different accounts and on my PC.

This used to work flawlessly for tap to pay until a few months ago. Then it stopped working completely, and now it's hit or miss. When it doesn't work, my phone often beeps twice quickly when I tap and then it displays the message "application not supported" or "use only one payment card at a time". I only have my credit card and bank card loaded on the app and I'm using a Pixel 4 with the "Cards and passes" feature.

The app is ok, but it bothers me that i can't disable payments without phone unlock. I think it should be up to the user to choose if he wants an extra level of security or not. If someone steals my phone he can use it to pay at the POS even though my phone is locked, i find that really stupid... i know there is a limit on the amout spent and number of transactions but imo, it shouldn't work at all. I see this more as a security risk than a feature.

I recently arrived at the grocery store realizing I had forgotten my wallet. No big deal, I had set up Google Pay for precisely this reason. You can imagine my frustration when I got to the cash only to find out this useless app had deleted all 3 payment methods. Not even like anything had changed so there was no reason. This should NEVER be done without sending notifications, emails, AND texts so that people DON'T end up in this circumstance.

App used to work great, then all of a sudden my device doesn't meet security standards. Made sure latest software was installed but no fix. None of the links you give to others with same problem have helped me either (why can't I click or copy them by the way?) so I'm stuck resorting to a one star review in hopes of some support. Please.

Periodically, and without warning, google refuses a transaction. In recent times - two restaurant and one hotel bill. Had to pay using plastic from the same bank. Clearly there is an upper payment limit set by Google, not by the bank, which they repeatedly deny. My advice is don't attempt any payment in excess of £200, as a payment refusal is very embarrassing. I have 'reached out' several times, with no success. I have now referred the issues raised with the Finance Ombudsmen, and the I.C.O.
