Google pay was very convenient way to transfer money, pay bills. After updating the app, while I can transfer money to people/ bank accounts, I am unable to pay any electricity/gas bill. Bill payment always fails, while the money gets deducted from my account. I then have to wait for money to transfer back in my account. It's frustrating and time consuming.

Gpay, the new replacement for the old Google Pay app, has got to be the worst "upgrade" of all time. Not only are they going to charge fees, but it is also the least unintuitive app I have used in a very long time. I cannot speak for others, but Google Pay was a fast way to move funds from my account to family accounts faster than an ACH transfer or PayPal. I don't see any advantage in keeping this app in its current form. I don't need another app to manage my banking, and I don't need to see all of my bills and bank accounts in one place. Whatever you were intending to do, is not working for me.

Honestly I can't comprehend the decision for this new app design. The prior Google Pay worked just fine and I had no issues. With this new version I'm struggling to even figure out how to send money. Every time I try it just wants to send an app invite even when both me and the recipient already have the app. I'm sure there's a way in which it works but thus far that's eluding me and that is in of itself a massive downgrade. Going from simply works to confusion is a massive fail so 1 star.

It is simple to use. I've been using it for over a year. I pay everything - electric bills, gas bills, mobile recharge, transfer money to friends, etc. Google keeps improving the features, making it easier to use and transfer money. Besides Google is a brand you can trust. Other payment apps have investors that I wouldn't trust.

Very slow and takes multiple attempts to add bank account. Hard to live with it. edit (April 02,2021): everytime google pay update itself it does for the worst. and when the name changes expect it to be more horrible. New interface is very slow, less on aesthetics, and thanks for changing the name I can't find when I type google as it is Gpay now.
