Don't waste your time. Greediest developer yet. This game is not free to play. It requires you to subscribe just to play the training. There is nothing in the game that states it has a monthly fee nor are the prices shown until all of a sudden you can not play and a pop up keeps telling you to go purchase a membership. Deceptive,shamefull game. This should not be an editor choice Google is just as much at fault for this garbage

Two stars simply because it requires a membership to acess any of the content. If the academy portion was continuously free I would give it a better rating. What I did play of it was wonderful and worth the time. That being said there should be a notification letting people know it is a trial and how long the trial is. Or put in the description that it is a trial.

Pretty cool app that teaches you how to play Go at a very methodical and slow pace. There are some English language translation issues. Low ranking because they hit you with a 'you must purchase membership to continue' mandate, which is pretty terrible. I was excited to learn about Go but now I'm going to uninstall the app.

Good while it lasts, but after a couple of days every single feature is locked until you purchase a membership (subscription based, too!) This is effectively not a free app. I'm really disappointed since the taster i got showed that i was gonna have a lot of fun with this

I'm sorry but way, way too expensive, 5 practice games then wham have to pay lots to continue, no free replays to try things out. A real shame. uninstalled after 5 mins no lives left. Great graphics, nice layout, Good controls. Beware the accidental click on shop, hit the back button not the confirm that pops, just in case.

Game play was okay, the training was decent, and then a couple of days in it shuts the whole thing down unless you purchase it. If it explained that up front, I would give a higher rating, but it didn't, which is shady. Not cool.

The home screen looks great, the options look wonderful, the various ways to play and learn look exactly like what I am looking for. Unfortunately the game crashes a few seconds after selecting any kind of game, which makes the aesthetics null and void.

seems like a decent intro to go but this app doesn't mention that it will soon require you to pay membership or it stops working. I imagine by that point most people would have already rated it positively. very deceptive!

locks after a couple of days. wants a paid membership even for the simplest features. matching up with another player is impossible. guess there's never enough other players around.

After a certain point it makes you have to pay a monthly membership to advance in the puzzles & it doesn't actually let you message your opponent like chess; instead it just gives 6 options of pre-made text you can send.
