Rooted devices support

Use root tools for batch operations to install/uninstall apps fast and easily, uninstall system applications.

Mark applications as favorites to find them easily. Your favorite apps are always placed at the beginning when app list is sorted by name. Use filters to see only favorites. Use system group Favorites to access all your favorite applications inside one folder.

Backup & restore

With your own repository you don’t need to reinstall all your software and games from Market each time you upgrade your OS or configure new Android device. Backup APK files to SD card or just save Market links by adding applications to the repository to get quick access to your favorite apps for installation. Customize backup settings according to your needs. New version of your favorite software is awful? Restore one of the previous versions backuped by Glextor AppManager.

[EDIT] Hi, Sir Alex, Thank You so much for your kind quick support & troubleshooting. Your Hotfix WORKS perfectly! Everything gets back to the normal state now [EDIT] • Great Unique App! One of the most important & most valuable Apps that I'd ever installed on my phone. It should be a preinstalled App for every smartphone. Very useful, well-organized, rich features, fully customizable,& easy to use. Highly recommended & worth buying. I bought it & have been using it for the past 8 months. Thanks

  2. Rebecca McKowan-avatar

    Rebecca McKowan

Liked it better before the update. It doesn't always open to my most used apps now and doesn't add apps to my most used. I used an app twice today and it didn't add it. Pixel 3 phone. Maybe an Android problem, I don't know

  3. Jon-Cameron Bates-avatar

    Jon-Cameron Bates

Latest update now crashes every time I open it. (v5.36.6.530) tried clearing data and cache. Thankfully had a backup of previous version but all my settings need to be fixed again. Not happy.

After last update, app will not open. Restarted phone and reinstalled app. No luck. Update. Developer was very helpful and fixed my issue quickly. Back to using app. Great organizing tool.

  7. catgurl felinus domesticus-avatar

Waste of space. Terrible automatic grouping. Just lumped everything in 4 or 5 categories. Not easy or intuitive to set up or use. More like a shell on a shell of a desktop. Disappointed. Folder Organizer is 2000% better. Uninstalled. Response to Developer response - Saying you did the same as Google is irrelevant. You are selling your app specifically as a manager and organizer which means you should do BETTER than what is freely available. And using pejorative terms like "idiots" is not cool

  8. Milo-avatar

Used to be a good application, even though updated apps would be completely invisible to Glextor until they were run again. Now, on my Galaxy Z Fold 2, it's unusable. Glextor shortcuts constantly reset to the default name ("Glextor App Manager") and icon, on both the cover screen and the (inner) tablet screen. Garbage.

  9. Robert Red-avatar

    Robert Red

Widgets that i have set up for various categories, ie games, entertainment, reset to default "Glextor App Manager" title. Will have to delete and just start using folders again.

  10. Tari Hanneman-avatar

Used to be great, now most of my apps don't show up in their folders. This is exactly the same problem that I had with the previous organizer that I used and was what caused me to switch to Glextor. Guess I need to start looking for a new organizer again.

Wow what a brilliant little app! I love the way I can bundle apps by category and review them all, quickly and easily. I've tried to set up my home screen with little groups of apps but it was a drag opening and closing them. And, moving things around was tedious. This developer knows exactly what I'm talking about! Great job! It's so easy to group apps so they're super easy to find. It's great being able to close them all up, too. The Repository was a great idea. May I suggest night mode? Lol!

  12. brad hall-avatar

Hi! I find myself using this app more and more as time goes by. In my opinion, i believe that this app is easier to find apps rather than the drawer itself. And i consider it a welcomed bonus to be able to manage every application in so many simplistic ways. Thanks to Glextor for making it possible to control our apps and subsequent launchers in great detail.

  13. Rob Durham-avatar

    Rob Durham

Provides something that's very hard to find (atm): the ability to create your personal app repository, independent of device or installation, with custom categories and backup integrated. Interface works well if a little old fashioned now. It would take the app to a new level if the interface was overhauled and streamlined, eg drag and drop apps into categories. Otherwise, this is a great app for those who want to curate collections of apps.

  14. V Jemmy-avatar

Have used Glextor for years. This is a fantastic app manager for Android versions before Pie. After Pie, the widgets randomly change to generic icons with 'Initializing' and no longer function. They have to be completely removed and re-added to screens. So if you're on an older Android version, this is a fantastic app. If you're on Pie, you might want to look elsewhere.

  15. William Steele-avatar

Very cool app! I wanted to be able to have sub-folders in any launcher and now I can! Things to do, to make the app perfect: Enable an icon view for groups (currently there is only a list view of groups). More themes or better yet, custom themes (the included themes are good but don't match my phones theme), add a way to hide some of the scary options that can reset everything. Overall, this is she great app and I'll use it even without these changes but they would help. Thanks for a great app.

  16. Timothy Gott-avatar

    Timothy Gott

This app is great. It required me to alter my workflow a little, but the features it offers far outweigh the slight adjustments I had to make. It's not perfect of course, but still deserving of a five. I'm not sure what hurtles need to be jumped to correct the occasional minor rearrangement of a couple of the icons when I put them in a particular category.

  17. Janie Squier-avatar

    Janie Squier

The absolutely best app manager in the Playstore. It's sweet. It's perfect. It's SO worth the money! Custom categories allow me to name groups exactly what I want to call them, which means that my video apps are in a folder by that name, and not the default folder- and I can keep them in either folder, or even both folders. The Search tab looks and functions as an app drawer. Each app its category name beneath it, and anything marked as a favorite appears before all other apps. Buy it!

  18. Ravinder Bhat-avatar

    Ravinder Bhat

Nice App. There is no doubt about it. But i would like to see more functions 1. There should be an option to change the width of the Group header 2. There should be an option to Keep the Group Headers either on Left side or Right side. 3. Using Widgets in the Drawer itself.

Particularly well laid out app: Endlessly battling pathological disorganisation, I use my devices extensively as an organising tool for my entire life ( universe and everything...unfortunately 42 doesn't work for me). However, disorganisation does hamper the use of the organising tool - my device is a labyrinthine Tardis of virtual chaos (actual virtual chaos!). In my clot hands most organising apps become agents of further chaos. This, however, actually improved my grip on the situation.

Paid to upgrade, and it wanted to start all over again, losing my custom folders. And it still had no way to customise the look of the folders. Reverting to free version. Thank you for the advice below. Upgraded slightly.

  22. Mario Meo-avatar

Very good software I just wish it integrated with app drawer. If you have Nova launcher you can use gestures with Glextor shortcuts to make navigating to specific categories real easy without having to ever leave home screen. The widget is nice if you use subgroups.

  23. Kiley Hernandez-avatar

    Kiley Hernandez

I had an issue with apps not showing in the widgets. I discovered if you have disabled apps. Glextor will show them in the downloaded section but you will not see them in the widgets. This is still by far the best organizing app I have used. Thanks to the dev for a prompt reply.

  24. twin0mega-avatar

The best! Worth every penny. Would love to see Group have sub-groups inside of normal groups for better organization. And would like to see an export into Launchers, like Nova Launcher. So groups transfer into a folder architecture. I currently gave to manually do this.

  25. Linda Moore-avatar

    Linda Moore

When I've paid for an app, I don't appreciate having the "Rate This App" thing thrown in my face every time I want to use it. If I haven't rated it after maybe three times of seeing this thing, they should stop. I finally got mad enough about it that I'm doing it now, but if it still does it after leaving this review, I'm removing the app even though I paid for it.

  26. Sebastien Bedard-avatar

Finally ditched Folder Organizer after 9.0.3 rendered it broken to pieces. Its great, but there are a few hiccups that are sorted with a restart. Sometimes the widget gets unresponsive or gets a blackout. Midly annoying.

  27. TheProteanGirl-avatar

Amazing but the sub-sub groups dont show in the widget. Like if you have a 2nd level sub-group neither the left hand side nor the apps are in the widget for a category. Please add this.

Edit: Unfortunately getting constant crashing using this launcher now. Sent crash reports. Review: This is a very well made app, and functions well. I personally prefer applauncher+ but I have had Glextor installed for over a year now and find it works very well too. I bought this to support development of app launchers with automatic categorisation, as I believe all Launchers should have auto-categorisation.

Hi there, just a feature request if you don't mind. I'm a Glextor fan for more than 6 Years, still heavily rely on it everyday. with the new android 11, Samsung will automatically put few apps in deep sleep (disabled) mode. Those disabled apps can still be seen in samsung native launcher as well as in nova launcher (the one I use). However those apps are disappeared from Glextor widgets. Wondering if it's possible to add an option setting to allow those disabled app be seen? Cheers. Tks

Great app to organize the life of those like me with tons of apps on their phone. Gives you access to your apps by category (and subcategories). You can even put one app in several custom categories. The home widgets are amazing you can put shortcuts to groups of apps in your home screen. Very useful to keep your apps organized when you change phones. I use the shortcuts to home pages a lot

A very professional approach to managing apps - surprisingly powerful but very easy to use. Highly recommended. I see people complaining about the lack of nesting of groups, but I don't see this as a restriction considering that apps can be in multiple groups. In fact, groups are more like tags than folders.

After 5 years it's still my go-to app manager. I like the way you can customize just about every aspect of the application although the default setup is good. Great app but if you attempt to access settings menus, the app force-closes only if you opened Glextor via its own desktop shortcut menu, be it a shortcut or a widget. It's ok if you open Glextor from the phone apps list in the normal way. Concerning because of this is causing problems with Glextor itself, how many other apps is it affecting, making me think the app is at fault? Needs fixing. Update - now fixed. Great work!

Not only is the app itself one of the best I've found for app management, the developer, Alexander, provides excellent customer service. I was having trouble figuring out how to change my backup location from my phone to my sd card (go into Settings, not the Backup Configuration). Nearly perfect for my needs now that it has multilevel subgroups. EDIT 10/24/17: Minor annoyance detailed in edit below has been addressed by Glextor team: Option to close all groups on launch has been added in updated and improved in a second update. This launcher is now exactly what I need. It enables me to know what I use the most and have that on my home screen and also be able to easily organize and find apps I use less frequently. It's perfect now for my uses. Adding star to rate five stars. Great App!!! EDIT: Removing a star because of a behavior that has come to annoy me over time. I'd like to be able to elect to automatically close all groups when an app is launched. Currently, you can automatically close previous groups when you open a new one, and this is good, but the new group is still open when you open the manager again, and that's rarely the one you need. If all groups closed when an app was launched, the user could "start fresh" with each launch and more easily get to where they need to be. Still the best organizer I've found for my needs, but this small additional feature would make it perfect. Barry Cochran, Portland, Oregon

I've used Glad For App Management for Android for many years. IMO it is the BEST device application management tools available on Google Play Store! Thanks Glextor Developers for making this a great, reliable, easy to use product. I highly recommend this app.

Not bad, better than most other app organizers. My only withdrawal is that the subgroups are not collapsed when the shortcut to a folder is clicked from the home screen. All subgroups to that for are expanded, which kind of sucks

Amazing app. One of the first apps I download anytime I have to start anew with a phone. So useful I don't know where to begin. I love how easy it is to manage, group, uninstall and hide apps as I see fit. Bloatware is no longer a problem. Using on S7.

I have organized my 600+ apps into a hierarchy of customized folders accessible from a single icon on my home page. The Repository is invaluable for backing up & selectively restoring apps. Appreciate auto backup of updated apps.

Unprecedented Dev support! I wish when adding a multiple selection of apps to add to desktop I could place them all in their own folder. Instead I have to add 5-12+ apps to a new screen and manually make a folder =( Unless I'm missing something. Edit/Response to Dev: I wondered if that was the case because I could only find it in Highly complicated and customizable launchers that, I believe, use their own "folders" that function like folders but probably aren't actual Android folders. I can even place Total Launcher 'folders' that allow me to select apps to add from a scroll list but that's cumbersome and I'd rather be able to go the other direction and select apps from a nice, sortable and organizable, UI and throw them in a standard folder but unless that comes from Android OS itself it's probably not going to happen. Maybe there's an otion via root utilities but I'm not going down that rabbit hole unless I desperately need to use Titanium Backup for something. Edit2: I've been meaning to try that feature. Both as it's own, intentional, tool and feature, as well as a sort-of workaround solution for my premade folder want. Thanks for the reminder to give that a go! And double-thanks for your time and the dedicated, multiple, responses! Another edit: as time progresses the more and not I like this and the more stable it becomes. In fact, I haven't had a hard crash for at least several updates now! Keep up the great work, Team Glextor!

If any of hou are like me & have more than 20-35 apps they start to really get mixed up even when I try segregating them into their own folders with other similar app. This app automatically knows when you DL a new app & tries placing them into their correct category but that wont get 100% fixed till this app adds AI to learn from each individual & there preferences!!!

This is one of my favorite apps, I got this at first with App of the Day promotion. Then I got a new phone, could not live without it and purchased it. Well worth the money. I have over 600 apps installed on my phone, would be lost without it.

I really like the app but it needs to be able to show the number of notication for Facebook & other apps when I go to my folders with my email & Facebook and text messages it shows the number of notication for each app this app should do that other than that I kind of like it also don't like the name of the app might sound a bit pickey

I love this app and rely heavily on it for organizing my apps but one thing that drives me nuts is when I download new items I wish it wouldn't create new groups. I'd really like an option to prevent new groups from being created & to have new apps automatically put into the groups I've already created. 4.5/5 stars

Takes awhile to get everything organized the way you like, so I'm hoping the backup work's properly. Only complaint is the app doesn't want to stay in the memory even though I have the notification bar checked. I have to restart the app every time I restart my device.

The app forces shortcuts based on an app to share the same icon of the app. For example, if you create multiple shortcuts to different Tasker tasks, they all have the Tasker icon. If you change the icon of one of the shortcuts, they all change, as does the icon for Tasker.

I tried quite a few, but this has exactly the features I wanted. Customizable categories, stays in notification tray if I want, new apps easy to find in "unassigned", good search feature, good uninstaller, etc.
