Sometime you just want wake your phone to watch time and some basic notification (battery, missed call, sms..) and don't want to drain battery for that. Glance Plus is designed for this propose, it shows some basic info in black screen when you waving your hand over proximity sensor or cover proximity sensor. How to use this app: 1. Open Glance Plus, start service 2. Wave hand over proximity sensor 2 times OR just take out your phone from pocket :) 3. To weak up your phone, double tap on screen 4. To turn off glance screen just press power button 5. Choose 'Always on' from 'Glance Type' to get Glance screen persistency Some settings: - Change font size, font color - Enable/disable showing notification, weather.. - Change clock style (digital, analog) - Change display position of info on screen Warning: For Samsung device: To prevent the app stoped by itself: System Settings > Device Maintenance > Battery > Unmonitored apps > Add apps > checked Glance Plus For Xiaomi smartphone: need manually grant "Draw over other apps" permission (Go to Setting > Installed apps > Glance Plus > Permission manager > Display pop-up window > "Allow") For Huawei smartphone: Open Phone Manager apps (or Settings app) -> Permission Manager -> choose Applications tab -> select Glance Plus -> enable Draw over other apps Permissions required: - Location, Internet: get current location => weather information. Deny this permissions if you don't want show weather info - Phone: Hide glance screen when incoming call - Modify system setting: change time off screen - Draw over other apps: need this permission to run app - Run at startup: auto run Glance Plus when restart phone This app uses the Device Administrator permission. Frequently asked questions: 1. Notifications does not show up ? - Access to notifications needs to be enabled (open Setting, click on the "Show notification" option for notifications and allow access to Glance Plus) - try to restart the phone 2. Waving my hand over my phone doesn't work - Try waving slowly - Try waving after screen off > 1s - Try increasing screen brightness in app settings - You may need to wave very close to the proximity sensor (should be located just above the screen) on some devices - Add Glance Plus to white list of optimization app (eg: battery saver..) - Try reinstall app 3. Immersive mode on the Glance screen doesn't work - This only works on Android 4.3 (JELLY_BEAN) and above - You need grant "Display over other apps" permission to Glance Plus 4. Pretty good app- However I would NOT recommend getting the paid version (extra $5). I upgraded it just to be able to change color or the Digital Clock but cannot. It clearly says the only thing you can't change will be the background. I could care less about the background. Very frustrating to find out when I went to cancel and get a refund Playstor would not allow it. AWESOME GOOGLE!!

This is a great app but it appears to have a number of defects: 1 Display of upcoming events appears to be limited to single events – not recurring events. 2 Only the next upcoming event is shown, not all those that are happening on the same day. 3 The event shown on the screen give details of the event and the its times but it does not show the day on which this event occurs. 4 The inactive hours feature does not work which means I have to turn it off when I go to bed and on again in the morning. I sent an email to THSoftware on the 26th March but they have not yet replied. This is very disappointing - hence on 3 stars.

Good, definite improvement over the glance screen on my Nokia 8, which gives no indication for most notifications (eg messenger, snapchat, etc) - this does. However I found the glance concept didn't work that well for me overall - I just missed having a notification light - so thought I'd try just switching it off for a bit. Annoyingly, even though I unticked the main 'use glance plus' switch, every time I restarted my phone it would tick itself again. This also caused problems with trying out the default glance screen. So given I couldn't just turn it off for a bit to see if that was better... uninstalled (and doubt I'll wanna configure stuff again, so I guess it's not temporary).

I wanted to like this, but I would very much like to get the Date -> Monthly option to work properly on my device. Currently for me, it shows only the highlighted date, and other days of the month are not visible at all. Kinda hate that I paid for the features unlock, but then not all of the default features even work properly. Please fix it.

The concept of the app is great...Some features should be tweaked or changed. Such as- 1. For showing the lock screen pic and time change the settings so that they never overlap with each other. 2. For showing content of apps and reply from lock screen or playing music or any other settings related to application content follow Moto Display rules..

It worked fine, before I bought edge flashing feature. Now when display goes off, glance has been activated (like it should). But after few seconds when glance screen is turned off it automaticly goes to lock screen (sometimes even directly unlocked the phone :( ). And if it goes on locked screen, when locked screen dissapeared, cycle starts over and over again (glance->lock screen). I tried reinstalling app/rebooting phone, but app still doing this, so for now I've to uninstalled it.

Dears, Thanks for your efforts in developing this nice app. I have an issue with with my purchased version.. Under: "Notifications/Glance on notification" when I tick the option to show "system apps", the default Phone app is not shown. please fix this as I need to set reminders based on missed calls. I am using the app on Huawei P30 lite EMUI 9.0.1. Thanks in advance.. Tarek Hassan

This app says free but it is not! For example, if you want to set a custom background you cannot! You must pay first before you can set the custom background of your choice! For me this is a bait and switch ploy and needs to be discontinued!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really like the idea (in fact looked for a replacement of WP Glance screen), but sadly on my phone disappears in 4-5 seconds, regardless of any "screen timeout" set. None of "other settings" seems to work apparently. Wave to peek is pretty responsive. Will be 5 stars if problems resolved. Samsung A20e.

In oppo Reno there seems to be a clash between the glance screen and the lock screen. It always switches back and forth between the black glance screen and a lit up lock screen. Also the fingerprint icon is displayed unnecessary on the black glance screen. Also please add an option to turn off clock or hidden clock and display only notification.
