Love it Best keyboard app there is. Hands down. The only complaint I have and I mean the only is I wish there was a way to remove the stickers and bitmojis etc. Want emojis to be reachable by tapping the white circle with right pointing arrow, instead of only stickers and GIFS. Only solution I've found so far is to change setting to add the emoji button to the left side of keyboard. Will give 5 stars if I can remove stickers/gifs or change the icon order.

  2. Darkness Smile-avatar

apk I hate the multilingual keyboard, it keeps changing all the right words to the wrong ones and in general just making a mess of my already bad texts. Now I have to go all the way through the settings every time just to switch languages.

  3. James C-avatar

gboard the google keyboard app download Easily one of the best keyboards on the market but the autocorrect is very terrible to non existent. It doesn't autocorrect spelling in words that are obviously wrong and which simply don't exist. Also swiping is consistently terrible. Otherwise I'd rate 4 stars.

  4. Ben Mart-avatar

gboard - the google keyboard for pc Whatfor does a keyboard require access to wifi-connections? - As if the data-miners of google didnt bestowe themselves with outrageous authorizations & didnt already control every thing on any device! I remember when Bill Gates almost got lynched for granting his OS less than 1 % of the authorization&rights that google grants even single applications! Real operating systems (non-android) let you remove unwanted applications & programs, that got pre-installed upon purchase, by simple functions!

  5. April Starnes-avatar

gboard the google keyboard app Love this keyboard. Easy to use. Haven't tried all the features yet but, those that I have are working flawlessly. If I can use this keyboard without any problems, anyone can.

  6. piyush bose-avatar

gboard the google keyboard download Love the personalized stickers but it's still got a long way to go ..doesn't pick up commonly used words like SwiftKey keyboard..AI functions should be improved

gboard the google keyboard apk download In the latest beta there is a lot of space right below the spacebar it continued from the last 3 beta versions this beta I had a hope that you'll fix it but it didn't work/happent if you are listening/seeing this review please fix this

gboard the google keyboard apps I must say I am thoroughly pleased as a customer and a consumer with this product. Much better than its Samsung counterpart..... JS The speech-to-text tool on gboard is the best I've ever seen far better than the same tool on Samsung keyboard FYI........

  9. Tsuki Mc-avatar

gboard the google keyboard update This might be the default experience for many, but not for my Samsung Galaxy and definitely not my iPhone. I used to think that Huawei or Apple iPhone's voice-to-text transcription service was as good as it could be. Then I used Gboard's google voice typing one day and I will never again think so highly of the other services. You are probably using an inferior keyboard and inferior voice-to-text messaging app. Just to prove my point, this review was gone by Gboard voice. The rest are garbage.

  10. Lili O'Dell-avatar

gboard the google keyboard apkpure Gboard if fun and easy to use. I just wish that they had more themes to use as the background and it can be a little frustrating at times. Other than that nice and fun to show off to friends and family.

I'm always having issues with this app. I tried to adjust all the settings and it doesn't do any of it. As of it said okay well you change the settings so I'm going to not do anything. I have to constantly keep retyping, erasing and going back. The dictation shuts off randomly and it doesn't hear what I'm saying. It doesn't even attempt to guesss properly. and no matter how much I think I'm typing the correct letters somehow it types everything around it instead.

  12. Carol Watt-avatar

It works very well good memory it would be nice to see more themes other than just color for example maybe a keyboard that emphasis on hello kitty just for an example or keyboard that's glitter.

  13. chloe .comyeah-avatar

You absolutely can't go wrong with Gboard! You have theme choices that allows you to choose your own keyboard background theme. It has handwriting options, cursive or print letters. You can change keyboard size & letters so it suits you. Love the fast & smart typing. Speed and reliability, the glide is so easy to us & much a faster way to type. PERSONALLY, I prefer to use voice typing. NOTE: Speak clear. Do not talk fast or mumble and you'll have zero problems. So much more 100% recommend 👍🏻

  14. Ben Jarnagin-avatar

I just typed a detailed explanation of why I hate this keyboard and because of the problem I have with it , all that content just erased. And while we're at it the voice typing is not working very well either right now. But back to the matter at hand call The circle at the bottom of the screen just below the spacebar makes my display go to home all too frequently when I really intend on doing a space. And I'm really irritated now because after a few words, voice typing turns off and I was just re

  15. Wayne Moran-avatar

I really wanted to love this. Some features are far superior to SwiftKey, but the predictive text lacks the ability to remember and predict numbers and symbols when used with text, so it immediately became far more cumbersome for me to do estimates in my QuickBooks and text prices and details to customers. The developers should definitely work on this, as SwiftKey does it really well.

  16. olo II You-avatar

Where did the search Google tool go? Now I can't seem to customize my buttons on the keyboard? With every update is getting worse.

  17. Autumn Bower-avatar

Love it, so many options to customize how I want it to behave. Haven't had any problems with this keyboard like I've had with several others. And can adjust preferences to suit me at any time; you gotta love something that is as flexible, adjustable, and learns from your useage to function better for you.

  18. Everett Flores-avatar

The keyboard is mostly good. The handwriting recognition for Japanese writing is good (as far as I have tried). Just two things I would want to see added. 1: being able to split the keyboard and added numbers and arrow keys in the middle. 2: being able to add and arrange extra symbols key, say like when long pressing the period button.

  19. Carlos Tyler-avatar

It's great, but this update lags on the poco F1 and the Mi 5. It freezes the keyboard and lags. I work off my phone and it has been a hindrance, but thank you. It's still better than the old days. Have had to rate it down because it lags and freezes quite often. Im not quite sure what's wrong with it. I'm pretty sure it's not device specific since it happens on two different phones.

  20. lois grubbs-avatar

Having problems with some letters coming up foreign language and also with númbers. I have the setting on English US. Why is this happening?

  21. Matt Jones-avatar

Great technology in a sleek design. The Glyde keyboard needs a few small improvements, but it's generally quite good. When it's on, it's perfect. But when it's off, it's not remotely close. Text to speech is another matter. For some reason, it now changes almost every capital letter at the beginning of a sentence into a lowercase one. And it's accuracy is only about 60%. Text to speech is often slower than just typing by hand because of the errors.

  22. Himm Himm-avatar

I've had nothing but good experience's with Gboard since I've been using it. Fast response and great suggestion's.

  23. Kim Morgan-avatar

I love Gboard! I've gotten so spoiled by it that I can't used the standard keyboards anymore! In fact this is the very 1st app I downloaded onto the new phone I got last month! I love the themes with all the different colors you can choose from and the landscapes are beautiful! I'd would like to see some new ones added though. One thing I really like about Gboard is the different key placements with different boards. Thanks for creating such a fun and useful app!

Just now I installed , but after little bit confusion how to type n operate different laungages. I absolutely can say this is the no one key board of having different laungages those can be selected in same board. Really superb.. with the options of even all types of wishes and msgs in GIF. Really...Smooth typing , no words to express the beauty of this app. I am very very happy .My sincere request is how to learn choosed launges pl.s suggest n make one more app for learning languages Thankyou.

  25. Julia Petrenko-avatar

No customized themes. I had a keyboard easy switching languages and amazing classic Golden- black keyboard which by accident was reset to factory :-( and I cannot find it. Gboard - the best alternative I found so far. This keyboard - without extra unnecessary stuff, with easily switched languages and has different styles themes, but no one theme is even close to what I had :-(. Can you add more colors and allow us to decide combination or have additional app with more themes ?

  26. Jason Alberty-avatar

It can be glitchy but it works well. However, the autofill isn't as good as it could be and the autosuggestion is severely hindered for some reason. And it only limits the suggestions but 2 words. And you need to have the first 4 to 5 letters of any word so it can recommend the word you're looking for. Which is a severe handicap for this keyboard. Samsung keyboard gives several suggestions and uses similar words and you don't have to spell correctly for you to find the word you're looking for.

  27. Bryce CHUNG-avatar

I like to set the keyboard size small and mid small, but I encountered one problem that cause me uncomfortable during typing. The parameter of the keyboard is too low when I disabled the navigation bar and change it to full screen mode. At here I wish Google team can include the functionality to adjust the parameter of keyboard on screen. This definitely improve the user experiences of gboard. I really like gboard and didn't wish change to other keyboard, so I wish you can take my suggestion .

  28. SirH3nry-avatar

I've been using glide/swipe typing since it was conceived. Many years ago, this app used to accurately choose the words I would expect when glide typing. However, for a long time now, it feels like I'm correcting about 50% of the words in every sentence. It's so bad that I've looked at alternatives and found Chrooma, which feels much more accurate to me, but unfortunately it doesn't have a Japanese keyboard. If you use glide typing I recommend NOT using Gboard.

  29. Morgan Suhm-avatar

The keyboard is serviceable, but a couple of additions would really make it stellar. There used to be a keyboard on the Play store called Swype, and it had a "control" key on the bottom left that was incredibly useful. When you tapped the key, it would highlight a word. When you swiped from that key to shift, it would give you capitalization options for a word to correct. When you swiped to "a," it would select all; "c" for copy; "x" for paste, etc. It was incredibly useful as a daily keyboard.

  30. M Murase-avatar

Pretty solid, with a couple of issues: 1. Quotation marks will randomly decide to add a space or not. This might be related to whether I use correct punctuation (I don't always), but it seems random. 2. Sometimes the keyboard fails to recognize a swipe move in progress, so instead of a word I get a letter. It used to be scary accurate in predicting my words, but now, I have to be incredibly accurate with my swipes (and even then it can take several tries).

  31. Anthony D. Mason-avatar

This app is a good app the only setback is the speach to text. I use it all the time, sometimes it will get things wrong and sometimes it will get it really wrong. The strange part you can be in a quiet room and it pick up words not said. Sometimes you will say something and it will change words further in the sentences and can lead to an offensive statement. Don't do this in a hurry you could say something you didn't mean to.

  32. Salman Qureshi-avatar

This is, hands down, the best keyboard out there for Android. BUT! And this is a very big BUT and is the reason for my 1 star rating. Gboard has a "floating" option where it effectively floats around the screen and you can type easily with one hand in view of increasing screen sizes. However, there is a very big FLAW since the improvement of new Google Gestures. Now when I use floating keyboard, the gesture bar hides my text field at the bottom of the screen and I can't see what I'm writing.

  33. S j Zamora-avatar

I always used SWIFT KEY keyboards since smartphones first came out and you had to pay for the App. I've been true to them until this past March when I purchased my new HTC U 19e with the Gboard already installed. I realized right from the start I was having less problems with correcting spelling errors, ect. It still takes me forever to text because I'm just not good at it! Not to happy that Google keeps track of every keystroke & what or who they sell that too! Must read policy again.

  35. Bobik Speko-avatar

I used to use this app for voice typing. Now it's broken. Since the last update it's not working anymore (it works for about a minute after I start my phone and than it stops and is "initialising" forever). I even tried to reinstall it. Useless. EDIT: I found out where the problem is. Google is blocking me when I am using VPN (I am connected through it all the time). Totally unacceptable! Would give zero stars if it was possible.

  36. Michael U-avatar

Used to be great now gets my words wrong very frequently and doesn't even bother guessing at the words I try to speak to it.

Greetings team I've had a good experience while tapping key of Gboard very enjoyable and smooth while use .. Unfortunately since from yesterday whenever try to type something instead of words I've got only key suppose to show while type word's there's only these correction instead of such type of word's and got a hang In, .sh. , ., ., .a, ., .l, lah, ., H,,,,j,...,.. kindly solve this problem and let me know how to fix it thx Kind cooperation would be highly appreciated

  38. Mali Boo-avatar

Awesome once you train it to think your language. It picks up on things really fast!! Plus all the amazing different keyboard sizes, predictive text, Auto capitalization, GIF sticker and emoji suggestions as well. Can't go wrong with it BUT JUST KNOW THAT YOU ARE USING GOOGLE AND THAT GOOGLE SAVES EVERY DAMN THING YOU DO! YOU CAN FIND MOST OF YOUR VOICE TYPING IN GOOGLE PLAY MUSIC. THAT'S WHERE SHE STORES IT. Just looking out for my fellow Googlerz. ;) Malibu

  39. Scott Graham-avatar

I've tried many keyboards for my S10 & this is the best one I've found. However, even with extra tall the keyboard is not big enough. The only one I found big enough for my fingers is Swift key. If you put a setting on Gboard so you can drag the keyboard like on SwiftKey as big as you want it to be even if it takes up the whole screen, this would be the number one app for me. Instead of having pre-arranged sizes, make it so you can drag the keyboard to the size you want it to be. Then 5 stars.

  40. Brooke Gaines-avatar

I've had a decent experience with the keyboard. I'm not so happy with the hit and miss of accuracy I have found with talk to text. There are also times where it doesn't respond at all or shuts off mid use. I depend on talk-to-text for most of the time based on partial paralysis. When it doesn't respond at all, I'm left struggling with the actual keyboard

  41. Robert Evans-avatar

LG v40. Enjoy using it but have now had multiple times where the keyboard suddenly won't come up. Have to reboot phone in order to get it back. It sometimes just show my selected gboard keyboard background color/theme but no keyboard. Hope you fix this ASAP. Also wish you could click/select a word already typed and capitalize/uncapitalize. Thanks!

  42. Tay M-avatar

I love Gboard but I wish it was better in 2 ways: 1) I haven't figured out how to record a voice message. If it don't have one, it needs one. 2) it needs to learn how you type better. Like on the Samsung keyboard, it learned how I say "gonna" instead of "going to." With Gboard I have to change it every time. There are many other examples where it fails to learn it.

Please fix this app. I like it so much, it used to be the best keyboard ever, but on the last days not so much. Sometimes when I need to write something it takes a lot of time to appear. And when I'm writing, if press two keys these days it writes the last than first. I've tested that many times. I use Android 9 on a Honor 8a.

  45. Rex Biescas-avatar

Useful but Could be improved. This keyboard would be the best keyboard in the planet if Google add two things: 1. A dedicated + button (or similar) that would enable user to save words that are entered for the 1st time. 2. A dedicated button for easily attaching Google Contacts like phone number , email address, etc.

  46. Ankitha Vinod-avatar

This is really smooth and fairly accurate. I would specially like to stress on the speech recognition and transcribing part - It is truly one of the best that you could get with a keypad. Also there are no ads popping up in between and messing around .The interface is quite simple , easy and appealing. But one of the only problems that I face is that the keyboard won't work smoothly if I have been continuously using it for a long time. The response time will be long and eventually the app hangs

  47. Ahmad Saberi-avatar

Hello. Google Keyboard does not have undo and redo capabilities. Also, the keyboard size is still short at its highest. And it needs more settings so I can make it longer. It also requires a lot of 2-finger gestures, such as dragging 2 fingers on the keyboard to copy the text to the top, and dragging 2 fingers on the keyboard to track the text. Another case is deleting text faster than before. Long texts are deleted very quickly. Please solve these problems

I have used the BlackBerry VKB for a long time and really like it. There is a lot to like with Gboard, such as customization, themes, regular updates, etc. Choosing the keyboard height, adding numbers to the top, and many other functions make this very user friendly. I'm going to use it for a while and see if it will become my primary keyboard.

  49. Robert Demeza-avatar

It's a good keyboard to use it got good quality it's just right and it also had a lot of good features about it I like using it it has different languages for it I use English that's the only language I speak and I use the mic to speak a lot of words out so far I have not had nothing go wrong with it for me Robert DeMeza. PS. You have to try it to see for your self to see if you want it or not that all I can say about it R De.

  50. Raine Swinyer-avatar

The keyboard could be a little larger so I don't have to use the microphone to type my text.

  51. D T-avatar

This app has been better but is buggy and I expect a LOT better from Google. Significant lag occurs frequently (on fast devices by the way). Garbage overlay on keyboard of various kb letters as you type (new one). And backspace is very frustrating. Especially when you hold and slide left to delete a section of text. No simple DEL equivalent STILL. Problem? It's been like this for a long time. Never fixed. No choice but to reduce rating.

I've tried others, but G's the best! HOWEVER, I'm having an issue lately. I don't know if it's the fault of Google or Samsung (my phone is a GalaxyA10e) but I set Gboard as my default keyboard, and it's ok for a few days - but then it changes itself back to Samsung as default. Then I have a hard time finding the settings to put Google back. This has happened at least 3 times! I wouldn't complain but Samsung's keyboard is HORRIBLE!Can u offer any suggestions? Thanks Google!

  53. John Hines Jr-avatar

I've been using this keyboard for years. I really like it, in terms of responsiveness, spacing, shift/alt behavior, etc. But, suddenly the predictive text options are completely wrong for me. UPDATE: It's somehow worse. It's putting up words that don't make any sense, nor tie into the previous words in any way. I am using it, but it's starting to slow me down. I'm reducing my rating from 3 to 2 stars.

  54. Jason Lee-avatar

Very enjoyable keyboard to use, with a lot of customization options that really personalize the typing as well as the voice input experience. I would recommend downloading this to anyone looking for an easy to use, hassle free keyboard with lots of quality extras. And it's made by Google, so in my opinion it stands head & shoulders above the rest.

Overall, it gets the job done. Glyde typing is bad for uncommon words. With some words, no matter how slowly you swipe, it'll fill in common words that are nothing like what you swiped over the uncommon word. Voice typing for non-native speakers is terrible, but that's a hard problem to solve. I just wish there were a more formal way to train it. Finally, I wish I could disable the feature that makes holding enter change the keyboard to gifs. It's too close to the delete key for that nonsense.

2020 - Í LOVE GBOARD! Gboard has constantly improved over the years I've used it. I can keep letters, numbers, and most punctuation on the primary screen, so no need to switch back and forth between screens. BUT to create text of any kind I have to use talk-to-text, because the keyspaces are always so small (every phone), and it takes so much time to constantly backspace and correct. (Thought I had normal-size fingertips...) I LOVE THIS APP! Just trying to give helpful feedback.

  58. Alex Helwig-avatar

The arrogance of Google is made plain in this application. *Frequently* their app upgrades are radical changes from previous editions--GBoard is no exception. Something as fundamental as *input* should NOT change so often and so easily. I accidentally upgraded to this version and it is wholly different from the previous version, which is impeding my ability to type, and there is no intuitive way to access the settings to try to restore some semblance of what I had gotten used to.

The keys are customizable in size. I tend to enjoy the effect of bouncing letters. There is a preview option of suggested words, but I tend to turn it off. The phone is new so I am unsure for errors like when the keyboard is switching between emoji, gifs and alphabets, and it freezes for an extended pause. Swipe functions work as well as spell check. The keyboard has added these: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ expressions as well.

I like so much of gboard. It types quick, makes good predictions, and I like that you can put symbols with long press on the front keys. One drawback is that those front keys set doesn't have a forward Slash, which is commonly used. Also sometimes it doesn't add a space after correcting or auto-inputting a word which is a little annoying. One final thing I'd love to see is the ability to capitalise a word "post hoc" by going into the word and pressing the shift button , as SwiftKey does.

Almost perfect - switching from IPhone to Samsung 2 years ago I struggled with the keyboard. I couldn't quite figure out why, but I kept making typos. I tried many keyboard apps until I found this. No more typos! Lots of options. My only little issue is that the emoji suggestion doesn't seem to work properly. I have the option turned on but most of the time if I type a word related to an emoji, I just get word suggestions. Also the emoji bar is a bit useless, as it's not not my freq used emoji.

There's issue in my OnePlus 7 pro. u actually updated the keyboard to not to get closed whenever we hit that blank bottom space by mistake. So, u included a small down arrow at the bottom to close the keyboard whenever we want, but I observed that in some instances when it(keyboard) closes automatically like opening hidden application the small arrow doesn't disappear with keyboard even though keyboard is closed and it overlaps with other applications that we have opened for short amount of time

I've had issues at times, but right now it is working very well ‼️ sometimes it's still frustrating . I do not understand the Samsung Google war and I don't think I ever will ‼️ but with that said right now on my s9 replacement phone is doing reasonably well most of the time. I can't say excellent, but I think it might if I take the time to reprogram the Google Assistant.

I don't know what you guys changed in the recent update but it's driving me crazy... The problem is this; the last word typed will disappear after about 5 seconds unless you continue typing, this leaves me no time to stop to think or to stop typing for any reason whatsoever. This only started happening very recently and I am unable to find anything in the settings to fix it. 👎👎

Make it so I can do key reconfiguration like grab and move keys or stretch and resize rows or resize individual keys. I am tired of hitting the n or m key or period key when trying to hit the spacebar. It's frustrating to send random hyperlinks when random periods are inserted and I'm just trying to put a space between words. This happens even when keyboard is set to the largest size. Spell check or suggestions miss words when everything but the first letter is accidentally typed wrong, fix this

Now, I can't personalize the strument bar as I used to. Everyone use a button more than others, so do I. Examples: Why would I need the button to change the design of the keyboard or a floating keyboard button instead of something so fundamental like the clipboard button? Please make available an option to personalize the strument bar. This inconvenience started with the recent update.

Gboard is a must for me! Speech to text is a really useful, needed & important feature, but it's accuracy really needs improved! Many times it will put in wrong words & sometimes they at least sound like the word I said & other times it's way off & I have no idea how it misheard me so badly. And by default it guesses a name instead of a word that would've made more sense for the sentence. It should also use the spelling of my contact's names when I say a name. All learning settings are enabled.

  68. Jan Korista-avatar

The keyboard layout for Czech is good, better than the Apple keyboard. The only "advantage". The Czech dictionary for spelling corrections is terrible. How can you launch an app that does not include all standard words in a language and their flection forms? I have not figured out how to add new words to the dictionary. So when you type, words are suggested to you that are way different from what you are writing, no logical prediction for adjectives, nouns, verbs either. A shame and nuisance!

You can now continuously translate someone speaking a different language in near real-time with the Translate app. For example, translate a classroom lecture or a speech. • The Tap-to-Translate floating icon is now movable and easily dismissable. You can also translate copied text by tapping on the notification itself. vidmate

Awesome and all. Satisfactory : 100%. Convenience : delightful. UI : marvelous. Customization : perfect and flawless. But sadly I cannot past copied passwords in a password input field. That bugs me. Please give us the ability to paste passwords in a password input. I generally use really complicated and long passwords for my social accounts. So typing the password all the way again seriously is time consuming. Please consider it

I love this app. Couldn't live without it. I have "discovered" something that may be of use to other users: When using Gboard speech-to-text for multiple language, NOT using automatic language detection (but manually selecting the relevant language), will exponentially reduce spelling mistakes. The resulting almost flawless performance in both languages (Dutch & English (US)) vastly outweighs the inconvenience of having to switch manually, imo. Hope this can be fixed in a future update.

Love the new Bitmoji choices you've added! They are spot on with every little detail! The way you can make them look just like you is so fun, so many decisions!!😯 Who doesn't like to send stickers to friends as answers to questions!?! Lol I'm 39, I've been a kid at heart all my life & I will be for the rest of my time here I have left. I plan to have fun & enjoy it! Why not right!?! Your Bitmoji App Rocks, Thanks Folks for all your hard work on these!! Sincerely, Sarrah J Parsons

Wonderful. We can write any language by swiping. It's very interesting. Even Malayalam also we can write by swiping through letters. Another great feature is that it has got translator attached to it. You type in your language it will automatically convert to preferred language. And it's very smooth. Just started using it today, more reviews after using for some days. 😊

I love GBoard. I can't stand QWERTY input on small devices. I use the handwriting feature & a stylus! I appreciate the extras too, such as a search tool, translate and voice entry right on the text entry box, and the enhanced clipboard. Easy switching between languages for those of us who use more than English. The one improvement I'd like would be better predictive for handwriting.

I'm much happier since I found how to use my s-pen for handwriting. I had temporarily switched back to the Samsung standard keyboard so I could freehand write in cursive with the s-pen, but Gboard is far superior, especially with learning my speech & text patterns as well as word recognition when writing in cursive. I am about as pleased with a keyboard as a person can be. Thx!

A good but it gets slow at times and makes it difficult for me to edit anything I would have wrongly typed. Last time it happened it needed to be updated but today there is no update available. It took me over a minute just to type this message ( this is not the first time I'm experiencing this) would have given it a 5 star but

Exactly what I was looking for! after Soo many other keyboards. Great settings, alot of customization available, choose keyboard theme and colors, fonts, enlarge keyboard, word check and correction for misspelled words, on and on just choose in settings. Great selection of different Emojis, stickers and gifs plus custom "mini" avatars which are really cute, and larger keyboard available, plus tons of mojis 2 choose in diff languages and best easiest translations.. This keyboard is the simple yet powerful, it has many features. However, there are no options on how to remove/disable those features that aren't needed which(i think) is the reason why the keyboard sometimes freezes. I love this keyboard, it's the most convenient and efficient keyboard so far, but if you could just please give us options to turn off unneeded features or just fix the lag and freezing issues with this keyboard then everyone would enjoy it more. That's all, thanks

This app is very functional and pretty easy to use. I love that it has a personal dictionary section that you can add words that you personally use that aren't typically recognized, and even gives an option to give that word a shortcut; for example I used the shortcut "Izzy" and it autocorrects it to "Izabelle" (my daughter's name). Very handy! I highly recommend. HOWEVER... My biggest issue is that the app doesn't recognize commands for quotation marks, which can be quite frustrating.

At first this seemed like a great keyboard for Swype texting, but lately it has started to really suck. It will randomly make my text box and keyboard twitch and glitch out, which will happen 3-4 times in a matter of 20 seconds or so. Also lately, while typing it will just randomly start typing new words at the beginning of my text box instead of at the end. Very frustrating when doing emails for work, only to find my new sentences are being placed at the start of my text box. Sprint S10.

Great app. 1 issue I've been having tho. I had the app on my phone before & I didn't have this problem. EVERYTIME I click an area before typing, I get a CONSTANT notification. Idk how to turn it off nor think it's even able to be turned off. The notification is from "Android System" & says: "Change keyboard Multilingual typing-Gboard" If I can't turn this off, the app isn't worth it. I couldn't find any answers online. If this didn't happen & can be fixed, will be changed to 5 stars. Thanks!

Upgraded to Android 10, I have a blank white space at the bottom of the keyboard. It seems like an issue with gboard as many people have experienced the same problem after upgrading on multiple platforms. Also the auto correct is atrocious, doesn't even give options when just one letter is wrong. constantly changes the right word to something really stupid. When clicking on a blue underlined word sometimes there are no corrections available. Deleting learned words hasn't helped either.

  83. retnikt-avatar

Good. My only gripe is that when you enable accessing symbols when you press and hold keys, there is no way to get a forward slash /. I think a slash is more useful than a pipe or plus sign, but those appear instead. If you could fix that this would be the perfect keyboard

  84. Calvin Russell-avatar

Well I have not gotten to check out this beta version yet, but irritated with Auto correct. For the love of humanity really how many out there besides the people I know that get irritated because the app says one thing but you could type for example "you guys want to go to the lake?" And you get this "You guys want to go to the cake" really it's so annoying. Some knew emoji will be cool. Will Repost my update 😊 Hope new version leaves my words right just correct spelling as needed.

Functionally, the best Android keyboard I've used so far, with two exceptions: 1) the space bar is too small and spaced too far away from the other keys. I am forever hitting B and N instead of the spacebar. This is what drove me to search for a different keyboard. 2) The current version of the Gboard emojis are pretty awful.

The app is very reliable and dependable. With all of thee other keyboards that I have tried, this one meets my expectations some what. Only one thing I would love if all the the emoji symbols would enlarge as the hearts would. It's very surprising to see the functionality of this keyboard. One will be surprised.

Solid keyboard. It works a lot better than the native one on my phone, I love the fact that it has google search built right into it. I do however wish there were settings to filter nsfw images/gifs on or off. Update: the keyboard has gotten extremely slow within the last few days. It types slowly and is very laggy.

  88. woe-avatar

I love the google keyboard but recently i have been having an issue with it. The bar that shows predictive text is now a settings/theme/... bar that i cannot make go away. Hitting the arrow on the left to make the icons disappear doesn't do anything. Opening or closing the keyboard/app makes them come back right away. There is also a black bar at the bottom of the keyboard now.

Hey this is the best virtual keyboard available and i love it but since past week i am having issue with gboard which is its lagging while typing, deleting is very slow (one character at a time) and its lagging. Now u might say its my phone that's lagging but that not the issue i have redmi k20 pro 8gb ram and it handle everything smooth but the typing experience is worse now it may be the optimisation of gboard with my phone plz look into the issue

My only issue with it is that words added to the dictionary aren't backed up to Drive, so when you reinstall or move to another device you lose everything. It's a hassle for me because for some suspicious reason my Gboard isn't very good at remembering email addresses that aren't Gmail no matter how often I use them to log in to many sites and even if they are identical to the Gmail one before the @. So I have to add them manually if I want the keyboard to predict them as I start to type them.

I need text editing quite often. The text editing key should be visible on the keyboard all the time just like other main keys like q, w, e, r, space, enter, etc. At present you have to 1st make the text editing key appear. Then tap text editing key. Then finally you can access those keys viz arrow, select, copy, paste, etc. I require these keys quite frequently.

  92. Jeff Stamps-avatar

I'm still getting used to it and just downloaded it and I'm just using it for the first time. I have found that when using speech to text it will not let me complete a sentence. It's like every other word is cut off and I have to tap the microphone icon again. There is no time to catch a breath to complete my words. As an example it just cut out again after I said example in the latter sentence.,

This is such an amazing app. It has even been upgraded eversince my last Xperia - I've always had some Sony phones, Sony Eriksson back in the days - this app has always been in all the phones I've had since it started. I highly recommend it to everyone for all the different options it gives, long lists of free services. It cannot get any better than this, or can it?!! I guess I will have a surprise when I get my new professional phone for my clothing and skateboarding company PUNK FAIRY 👏🙂👌

Perfect app for me. As I am not very good in hindi, especially in online exam times ,my miss suggested me this app. I chose the ''hindi.english" And it was a good exam for me, all because of the potent and energy of the Google team . Therefore, salute to you and we will keep encouraging your work and try to make better use of it. Thanks . - from a girl 13 years old for those great workers!!!

Cute emojis and fun to use! No ads, no stupid extra stuff getting in the way like many other kayboard apps, and everything is free! You dont have to unlock stuff or pay just to make your keyboard pink and pretty, dark and mysterious, or any crazy combo you like! It's the build-a-bear of all keyboard apps!

  96. Eric McPherson-avatar

Liked almost everything about this upgrade . Didn't give it 5 stars because the voice typing, while good, should also have been for voice-only messaging, and the themes were only for colors and not any looks, like Black Gold. Other than that, LOVE IT! Was able to eliminate 3 other apps because if your integrations here. Great job!

  97. KJCP-avatar

It's a good app until it pisses you off. It hears you but won't print out until you stop start and do it again and it makes you mad. It will take dictation perfectly but then bastardize it if you copy and paste forcing even more editing. Needs a lot of work It will also drop the last word of a sentence on a regular basis. It did three times just now. WORK ON IT PLEASE!

Third time lucky three attempts to write this. I'm enjoying much your app,any chance of getting the front type to ratatat as good as back type, sometimes seems your in an office the sound. I guess the ethic is to sound good making a mistake with the subconcous picking up not to feel bad but good and I've found that as a result ,less mistakes from the first use. There's a few other " ethics" there but I leave that for other to discover

Update 6-18-20: I have had it with Google and their Android Phone Settings. First, the annoying default Ringtones and it's sub-ringtones for each apps. I'd rather spend my precious times on doing nothing than on configuring "each" ringtone for each categories and its sub-catergories. But fine, I'll live. Then, the malfunctioning of Google Key-boards for years now. Thanks to Android systems I am going to switch my phone to iPhone. I bet Apple have smarter phone systems functioning.

I really really like the keyboard! By far the smartest and cleanest/ most modern looking. But there is one really annoying thing: the keyboard has moved up, so if you hit the space under the spacebar sometimes (e.g. in Google Chrome) you tap out of the keyboard environment and loose all you just were typing. Quite annoying when typing long adresses. Please fix this bug, will definitely give 5 stars after
