Reviews From google play store

Voice-to-text is way better than the regular Google keyboard with far fewer mistakes, but predictive suggestions seem to be a bit off. Also when it does get a word wrong, the correct word is rarely among the replacement options. There doesn't seem to be a drop-down extended list of word options. I haven't had it long though, and it does seem to be learning somewhat

In general, works as expected for a keyboard. Glide typing is awkward. Random words like "be" just appear. Looks like it's from sliding on the space bar. I select part of a word, intending to make it plural or add a suffix, it automatically inserts a space. It's hard to make double tap on the up-arrow stick for caps. It goes from lower to upper to lower case more often than not.

Seems a pretty good, customizable keyboard. But predictive text doesn't learn well at all, nowhere close to how well it worked on my Samsung phone. It blocks text display with one app in particular, whenever the hardware keyboard is disconnected. Not sure if the problem is Gboard or the app. Also, sometimes speech-to-text shuts off prematurely or immediately, when I'm in the middle of speaking. Everything else works well. Excessive permissions; camera, location.

I'm starting to have problems with gboard. I'll carefully swipe-type a word, say, "food". The keyboard thinks I've swiped the word, "good" even though I could see clearly that my fingers touched each of the correct letters in the word. No problem, though, right? Because I can just choose the correct word from the suggestions at the top. But when I do that, (select the suggestion, "food") the word does not change but the proffered selection of words does, and, "food" is no longer among them.

This is a good alternative keyboard. There are several things I suggest get improved such as the font size inside the key box that is too big. Unlike that of the iPhone keys how they are spaced out and small , the fingers learn to zero in inside the box and the desired letter is pressed or better yet make the square boarders small. Also, it would be nice if I could pin the clipboard on the top banner along with the microphone button instead of just showing up after a period.

Pretty good. Glide typing is generally decent, even with multiple keyboard languages activated but I still always need to go back and review what I wrote. :( I wish they could do something about me always accidentally hitting backspace instead of "l" while sleepy. I also wish there was a basic version of this keyboard without any of the online functionality that makes this app fatter and fatter (at this point Gifs, stickers, voice, search, translate, ...). It's a keyboard, don't mission creep!

I have been using this keyboard for quite a long time. Loved the simple and plain layout. Yesterday, It started to lag continuously. I was on Quora at that moment. I thought it was the other app's fault because I was uploading a lot of images in a draft. But when I updated Gboard, it started to run smoothly again. The lagging behavior started again right now and I am writing this review with the problem still happening right now. Please provide a fix, Developer team. I don't want to switch. ♥️

Loved this keyboard until I started experiencing an issue apparently many others are dealing with as well. It says "Gboard keeps stopping" and all I can do is send feedback or cancel. Sending feedback doesn't do any good because when this happens I can't type at all. I have to clear all data from my keyboard in order to be able to start typing again.

Nearly perfect keyboard, with a couple of huge caveats. Most important, PLEASE add the ability for automatic theme switching when a phone's night mode is turned on. Google messages now automatically switches, but the keyboard does not. It gets so old switching from white to dark every day and night. Also, it would be nice if the dark mode matched the same color tone of dark gray as Google messages as well. It would make a big improvement in aesthetic continuity.

This keyboard is my favourite right now, I tested 4 other keyboards and this one is the best, I totally recommend it. Although I have some suggestions: - search function in the setting. I would recommend having more options for changing the language, since I found the emoji key (next to the space-bar) useful. Problem is you can't have it if you have more than one language, since it gets replaced with the language key. So a gesture, such as swipe from the space-bar or long press the space-bar.😀
