Reviews From google play store

I am not sure if this is an Android-related problem, but it seems that videos exceeding an hour of length won't play. In fact, the moment I scroll passed the folder where this certain video is stored, the app will immediately close, and this made me temporarily change to my device's default gallery app. Other than that, it has a really nice design, but it definitely lacks many features present in Google Photos — I hope all of this gets fixed.

I like this app, simple to use, simple and user friendly design, NO ADS (which is hard to find for a gallery app), the NEARLY perfect Gallery App! One feature that is missing is the ability to sort the folders/albums by their name. The default/only option currently has the most recently added to album appear first after the camera roll folder. Google keeps giving lip service (since December '19) that this feature is being added in the very near future, but four months later it still isn't there.

Video player moves faster at the beginning of a video. It's so annoying. Pls fix the issue and add more controls like volume and brightness, or provide an option to open a video file with other installed video players

Stop forcing dark mode. Not everyone likes dark mode. Give users the option to switch to light theme irrespective of device's dark mode being on/off. And also provide an option to turn off grouping pictures. Most of the auto grouped pictures are irrelevant.

It is not showing all the pictures I have, it is just showing Camera/Screenshots pictures, WhatsApp Images/Videos rarely appear in there, it is been like this for a month.

I can't see my photo's which I backup in Google photos . It gives only link. Please give access to see my all photos on backup or in my phone.

Moving photos from one folder to another takes an unreasonable long time. It appears as if the media database gets updated after every single image move. Another bug is that videos seem to play first for 1 second and then stop (Moto one action). Just after another tap they play (memory issue?). No easy way to hide folders... Overall lacking as I'd expect more from a Google app

What I'd really like to see is Google implement a photo map showing where I took my pics using Google Photos as well as photos in my internal memory. We used to have this functionality long before Apple 'invented' it, WHAT HAPPENED? Aside from missing what would be a really cool feature (photo map), this app is pretty vanilla and blah. Simple features like 'Sort by' and pinch zoom to change thumbnail views that have been a staple in Samsung gallery for years aren't even a thought here.

Pretty good Gallery app with no online sync features. Two things need improvement: 1) why can we not drag to select multiple photos? That's a standard feature in ever gallery app and even in Google's own "Photos" app. There's no reason not to include it. 2) the gray background should be black. I get it's Google's aesthetic to use gray instead of black in dark modes (which looks terrible) but very rid of the stupid rules for once. This is a photo gallery. Photos must stand out.

EDIT- *Flip option required (Similar to Rotate). *Crop by Aspect Ratio & Resolution. EXPLORER- *Rename option to edit picture names. *Slideshow option. PHOTOS BACKUP- *Select Folder & Enable Backup to Google Photos directly inside Gallery app itself. *Manual Picture Backup to Google Photos button to upload images individually. *Swipe/Pinch to expand and shrink thumbnails. *Categorize/Organize by Month and Location. *Sort Folders by Name/Recents (Date Modified). *Trash option(Recycle Bin)
