FrogID is Australia’s first national citizen science frog call identification initiative – a project led by the Australian Museum in partnership with Australia’s leading natural history museums.

Use the App to create a free profile and record frog calls. You can choose to match your calls to the frog calls on the app, then submit your recordings to the Australian Museum frog experts to listen and verify the species.

With your help we can put more frog species on the map and track changes to their species and habitats over time, and therefore monitor the health of our ecosystems.

Great app however could be improved with the following: - ability to edit notes or upload photos after submitting recordings (I have found frogs after submitting a recording) - tracking list or check list to track species that you have recorded - jumping in and out of species profiles the list should return you to the last species you looked at (e.g. if I want to look at different Pseudophryne sp. everytime I go back the species list positions me back at adelotus)

Everywhere I go I now listen for frogs to record. My family used to think I was crazy, but now my 15 year old son says "Dad, listen... record it." My only issue is I can't seem to listen to your pre-recorded ones. But don't let that stop you, outstanding fun and good for the environment.

Every now and then when I submit a recording, it changes the frog species I have selected to all of them. Not sure if you are aware of this bug, but it's a little strange to see it change when you hit submit, or shortly after you submit.

Like the concept I just wish the images on the home page didn't keep rearranging themselves each time I return to the home screen. The same goes for the frog list. If I select a frog, view it, come back to the home screen I want to keep going from where I left off. NOT have to scroll through the whole list again trying to remember which frog I was up to. Good app concept, poorly constructed workflow.

Good app but needs a few improvements. - I am using an android phone so allow me to move the app to the external SD storage. The app is quite large. - allow me to pin my recording location on the map in case GPS or data connection is funky. -allow me to record when GPS or data is unavailable - allow me to start and stop downloading offline contents. I can't check how much I've downloaded because the progress bar just disappears. - allow me to crop the recordings.

Only issue I had is that I had a message saying I could not submit a recording without a profile while I was already logged in, I just logged out and back in within the app and fixed the problem. Downloaded to find out whether there was a frog in our garden or an abnormally loud cricket. Easy to use and I love the way it matches the call and location to potential species and allows you to listen to each one to see which matches your recording.

Not happy with having to download vast bulk data. declined to do so with diminishing storage available. There needs to be function to access calls via internet, individually. Found out the hard way this isn't possible, but there's no way to return to the option to download them. The only way is uninstall- reinstall. There are some design lessons this app could benefit from in the Melbourne water frog app. Poach their happy user base by doing better! Best wishes

The so called matching tool doesn't seem to be able to discern common frog calls. Every time, all I get is list of the 9 frogs from my area and none of them sound like what I've recorded. Also, where is the call recording stored? If I wanted to upload it to inaturalist for example how do I do that? None of your instructions are very detailed and not particularly helpful.

App is a good idea and I was really excited when I heard about it, but I wish it was possible to search for frogs by location as I have absolutely no idea the name of the frog in my garden. I searched through the photos to find my frog and as many look pretty similar, I gave up after about 10 mins searching without finding it. Also when going through the photos it would be great if the back arrow went back to the previous frog rather than taking me back to the home screen.

Love the app! It's very easy to find which frog is making a call in our back yard💚
