  1. Stefan Arnautu-avatar

I can't add my personal recipes. Can't add ingredients I bought with a barcode scanner. Can't track simple foods like Bananas or apples. It is one of the worst nutrition apps I've used in my opinion. It has one star because it does a good job of telling you what you should be eating. But I could have read a few articles on nutrition if I just wanted to know that. I was hoping it would try to improve my current habits.

  2. Gabriella Karácsonyi-avatar

    Gabriella Karácsonyi

The recipes are great: quick and easy to prepare. The portions are enough to go without hunger the whole day and the food is also really tasty. I would enjoy less repetition in breakfasts and afternoon snacks. The shopping list function is really practical, but more options for organizing the list would come in handy.

  3. Tomo Woodward-avatar

I have been using this app for the past 2 years and there are some really tasty meals in there. There is so much variety, and the coach will change things up a lot so that you aren't eating the same old thing. Also very good for vegetarians too.

  4. darren skeats-avatar

Early testing, first week using. Meal lists are good for trying new things but the ingredients are hard to get consistently, would be nice to have a scale Integration and integration to the training programme. I'm at home all day at the moment so cooking is fine but might struggle on the go to meal prep, alternative for eat out is good but meal prep I'd consider slightly different would be good to also consider this. Would be nice to also show macro nutrients and breakdown of the meals etc

  5. Sascha Luderer-avatar

I have been using this app for a few years and find the recipies excellent. It would be time to add a few new ones and give it a makeover soon, that's why I discount one star.

  6. Jorge Noriega-avatar

It's really good combinations and real good flavors, but ingredients sometimes are hard to find, over all it's pretty good, easy and fast to make these meals.

  7. Robert Buzuk-avatar

I always thought I had a fast metabolism that keept me skinny. Turns out I was just way undereating. It's interesting to think that the eatibg habits you think are normal are just hereditary and unhealthy(er). I would just add a hyperlink timer on all the cooking times.

  8. Martin-avatar

Can't even login with my Freeletics account. When using the ‘tap Confirm to login automatically with your Freeletics Account' the screen changes and goes back to the login form. I am using Google Login for the main app.

  9. Giorgio Bona-avatar

I am at a page registered "Your True State" and asks me to tap confirm to automatically register to my freetletics account. When I tap confirm freetletics screen appears for a second and then goes back to the "Your True State" page... How can I exist this loop!?

  10. Stoyan Stoitsev-avatar

    Stoyan Stoitsev

Good recipes but useless as a meal planning app. Each recipe adds its ingredients separately to the shopping list so you end up having to buy 3x half a zucchini etc. Shopping list is not sorted by supermarket isles. You can't really make a week plan. There is no reuse of ingredients among the suggested weekly recipes so you end up wasting a lot of food and money. I like that if tailors the recipes based on your region and the way they implemented ingredient substitutions.

  11. Gabriel Nagy-avatar

A good app with a variety of receipts. Although I miss the option to look for food via ingredients and there fore it's hard to do shopping without the food getting spoiled in the fridge. One more good thing would be if it would be connected to the freeletics app and the coach would make the nutrition plan based on the workout plan.

  12. Nigel Low-avatar

easy to prepare recipes, text instructions are easy to read. my only complain is the lack of step by step pictures, or if possible, video instructions

  13. josh henderson-avatar

This is the most amazing app for becoming your dream person in everyway! Both this part of nutrition and the exercise app part. Worth the money and everything beyond that for sure!

  14. Vardhan Shafi-avatar

Useless app. Gives the same information every single day. Nothing new. Waste of money.

It is honestly really easy to follow, delicious recipes and in the perfect portions. I really love this app!

  20. trevor n-avatar

What the hell kind of food is this? As soon as I got to look at the recipe suggestions I was so annoyed I paid for this. Horrible. So many things I've never heard, everything has a million ingredients, & the app keeps trying to push some nasty cold oatmeal on me. Do yourself a favor & DO NOT pay for this.

  21. Danielle Hajinakitas-avatar

Not letting me log into my freeletics account. Each time I try it refreshes back to the login page.

  22. Josh Mann-avatar

Not simple to use and surprisingly difficult to work out how to spend days of meal prep. As it's currently built, you're better off saving your money and googling a diet that fits your goals

  23. T-avatar

To anyone wondering whether to pick Training and Nutrition when subscribing to Freeletics I would say don't do it and stick to the training only, I found this app to be just a recipe provider with like 4 options for each meal time of the day.

  24. ryan leman-avatar

I'm surprised that there is no calorie counter. I mean you guys can probably code a basic one and get it functional within a few days. Is that something you guys would do to make this app a lot more useful with relatively little effort?

Recipes are quite simple and easy to prepare. The best part is they are not boring and very delicious

  31. Low key VYking-avatar

Very less options for Vegetarians and Vegans in the app ! Need a hell lot of additions and recommendations

  32. Nadeem Butt-avatar

Very good fitness app... Fitness coaching the way it should be... It is a but pricey I wish they can do better pricing for family/groups.

  33. Shantanu Wali-avatar

You need to understand the culture behind each country. Not each place is the same. For example, even though you ask for the location details but your recommendations are not region specific. I just bought a 3-month subscription and find it to be complete waste. We don't have ovens in most homes in India. We don't find cornichons or chives easily in India. How am I supposed to cook the food you recommend when I don't even find the ingredients?

  34. ANDREA AMICUCCI-avatar

Great app! Easy to use and very funny!

  35. Danielle Mordini-avatar

    Danielle Mordini

Poor vegetarian options. The recipes are not varied if you chose not to eat meat.

  36. zai Rina-avatar

Good app that provide lot suggestion can provide more nutrition base on asian culture..

  37. Odin-avatar

I don't like its suggestion, and there is no proper way to talk with the coach.

  38. S Ch-avatar

Paid for the exercise and nutrition app. The exercise app is great. Clear, concise and easy to customize. The nutrition plan... Not so much. I cook frequently and have a basic knowledge of nutrition. The options given are not great and there isn't a lot to choose from. It's not friendly for people with diet restrictions or allergies. It would better if they set it up more like MyFitnessPal nutrition app and gave you a caloric intake guideline and then let you choose what you wanted to eat.

  39. Shivansh Nautiyal-avatar

    Shivansh Nautiyal

I must say app is great for people who are not in Asian region because the food habits are different here in India, China, pakistan, Bangladesh, srilanka please make some nutrition options more friendly for these regions. I would not recommend the nutrition app for these regions otherwise app is really great and easy to navigate.. really good job on the training app.

  40. Aaron A-avatar

This is basically a list of recipes. It's kind of like the fancy recipe books that tend to live on the shelf, with the number of ingredients required for any meal are pretty ambitious... But every now and then you'll do it just for fun. To only eat based on the app means your shopping, prep and cooking will itself be a full time job. The lunches/afternoon snacks often need a stove/oven. Those aren't features in a modern workplace so requires deviation from the app. Needs lots of improvement.

  41. Karel Auf-avatar

The app provides some good recipes, but... I lack the option to set favourite recipes, If I want to eat 4-5 meals according to recipes i would have to spend almost 2 hours in kitchen on average per day, I feel the lack of foods with meat (chicken, turkey), I would greatly appreciate an option to set few ingredients for week, that i can use in several recipes, thus reducing shopping list greatly.

  42. Chris Barton-avatar

The recipes I've tried so far have been easy to follow and really nice. The app could really do with so additional features such as favorites and the ability to search recipes by ingredients as what is provided can mean an endless shopping list. I trawled through recipes manually to avoid this

  43. A Google user-avatar

I've been using the app for two months and overall, I'm happy with the it. However, there are a few things that I miss that I think they would be very helpful, like a favourite star button on recipes, so you can have your favs organised, or the possibility of change recipes and they can count on your daily intake (sometimes they are a little bit repetitive and it's boring to just eat, for example, 250g cottage cheese in one go)

  44. Cristian E. Vargas Ordóñez-avatar

    Cristian E. Vargas Ordóñez

This app is not connected to the workout one, which is very good. If you are looking for a meal plan connected to the exercise you are doing, this is not an option. There are only disconnected recipes from you're workout reality. For me, it has been a waste of money. Actually, when the time for paying again comes, I'm planning to change both apps for one that integrates the two things (workout and nutrition)

  45. Steven Foley-avatar

Some of the recipes seem strange but turn out to be delicious. I find the recipes to be quick and easy to make. Since the ingredients are primarily whole food items, I feel like I've never eaten healthier in my life. Coupled with the Freeletics exercise program, I now have a fully healthy lifestyle and feel great. It gets a little expensive to buy all the ingredients you need each week. But when you think about all the processed junk you're NOT buying and putting into your body, it's worth it.

  46. Alex Kubiesa-avatar

This app is amazing! The recipes are easy to follow and the meal plan seems very well tailored. The shopping list feature is also really helpful. However, I find it difficult to follow the meal plan because it doesn't consider the logistics of ahead-of-time meal prep and using up ingredients before they expire. A button to say "I am planning to cook this" would also be nice for bookkeeping.

  47. Chiriac-avatar

This app as well as the diet are absolutely amazing. The recipes are incredibly tasty, having regular ingredients in unexpected combinations, and are quite easy to prepare. It's also very efficient. I've used Freeletics Nutrition Coach in combination with the Freeletics Training Coach and lost almost 2kgs in less than a week. Quitting sport a while back I was a bit overweight, and tried many ways to lose weight, but never found one as good as these two apps together. Thanks Freeletics!

  48. Pratik Bhagwat-avatar

I like this app. It would be great to see some more options when the meals are mentioned. For example, it should mention total daily nutrition (ex. Carbs, proteins, sugars) requirement when suggesting meals. It can be difficult to stick to the recipes so it can help to plan a better overall nutrition requirement for the day. It can also have this feature be combined to have a notification to point out calories/protein intake remaining for the daily target and so on. Overall good but can be bette!

  49. A Google user-avatar

I've been using the nutrition coach for 2 weeks now, along with the freeletics bodeyweight coach. I've found it immensely enjoyable, with endless easy-prep recipes to keep me entertained. I feel satiated all the time with no more sugar cravings (almost too good 2 be true). My only worry is, the coach feeds me about 2200 Kcal/day which isn't enough to lose weight (I think) without excercising, even though I chose weight loss as my goal, which I should achieve even without excercise with the coach

  50. Karolina Wilbik-avatar

    Karolina Wilbik

All the recipes are vert simple and tasty, very quick to assemble. It's nice I can choose out of many different recipes, but what is missing is a possibility to preplan a whole week. There is a suggestion what to choose but if I'm choosing other recipe I would like to have a chance to somehow mark them for the future. I do shopping twice a week and sometimes I'm forgetting which meal I have chosen. A possibility to mark my choice would be awesome!

  51. Alexander Fell-avatar

Annoying app. While it has nice recipes, those are available in cookbooks, which don't need to be subscribed and paid for. In addition, there is no search, so if you want to check out a previously cooked dish, the list of already cooked dishes doesn't lead to the recipe, so you have to go to "all recipes" and scroll for it. So "simple banana muffin" forces you to scroll and scroll and scroll. Better buy a cookbook and save $60/year you'll be spending for an app made without love.

  52. eduardo mignot-avatar

I wanted something simple and easy to follow. It's not easy and the interface is not great. K paid for it as I thought it would provide a clear meal plan by day. But instead it's just a list of potential receipes per day. You need to cook like 5 meals a day, everyday different things. I am not sure how I am supposed to follow this having a full time job.

  53. Leeya D-avatar

I haven't cooked anything yet (I'll update this when I do) but I really like the interface. You can choose a meal among a few options for each mealtime (breakfast, lunch, etc.). I like the option to add a post-work out snack and the shopping list that gets updated with each recipe you add. I love the option to search for recipe's by number of ingredients and cook time cause I like to keep it simple. Can't wait to get started!

  54. ramina trade-avatar

I have subscribed for 6 month along with workout app. While the other one is great, this one is far far far from what it promises. I was expecting to receive a weekly plan, which opportunity to schedule for each day and than see the shopping list- Instead there is day by day some unclear suggestions, that are not I'm my favourites. Than even if you follow strange suggestions and comple the day, there is no option to check what is my daily consumption of calories, proteins, fats and carbs.Unhapy

  55. Dan Alexander Gallego-avatar

    Dan Alexander Gallego

The app is not dynamic at all. The portions used as ingredients are not convenient and eventually they decay in your fridge, and the worst part is that I'm paying for that.

  56. Jessica Kroenke-avatar

    Jessica Kroenke

I like having the custom meal plans that I get with the coaching. I really wish that they would continue adding more meals for a little variety. I also wish that they would allow you to remove meals that you don't care for from the rotation. Hopefully some updates will have these options.

  57. Vikas Bandaru-avatar

The recipes are really premium level. But, finding some ingredients becomes difficult here. I am from India and I expected it to suggest Indian alternatives. It would be great if it suggests recipes with ingredients available in my location. Whatever, I am happy with the content and description. So, 4 star.

  58. Luis José Villalobos-avatar

    Luis José Villalobos

the app has an overall functioning process for food planning and recipes, but actual coaching is kind of lacking, explanations regarding amounts and levels for the user's diet is also kind of obscure. Custom recipes or recording them as part of the diet is not present making it more difficult to use. the eating out option apparently only looks out of the diet it does not consider home made custom meals that would follow diet guidelines.

  59. Edel Gocotano-avatar

I like it, however, just feedback for improvement:: i have chosen certain meals for the day, but tere is still no meal plan presented.. there is the shopping list and list of all the recipes... but still kinda confusing which is for which day ... I guess for now, i still have to write down the meals i will have.. hope that i could do this thru the app too I like that it has the calorie count. This helps me manage my calorie intake 👍

  60. Nishit Patel-avatar

Not useful. Even a free dedicated recepie app would be better than what this app currently provides - a small list of recepies you can choose from each day. The Coach can adjust serving size based on your goals, but the recepies are too repetitive to be worth for a whole year. Also the app isn't very easy to use and they don't have a website. It's hard to check ingredients to buy when you have to manually browse through each day then meal then recepie.

  61. SHANNON Hogan-avatar

I downloaded this app as part of the fitness and nutrition package however once I got the app and went through the recipes I realised I didn't like them and wouldn't be using it. However there is no option to downgrade your membership so have paid for this part of the app for nothing. Really think there should be a recipe preview prior to agreement.

  62. Raluca Mihu-avatar

One of the worst apps that I have seen from a UX (user experience) perspective. You can almost not customise it at all. You cannot enter your dietary needs and restrictions. You can to choose every time. It is ridiculous how much effort you have to put into it. Also the recipes are very time consuming and require so much planning. You have to have a lot of time for the shopping and the cooking. This is not an app for people with a real job. The design is nice. It's the only nice thing I can say about it.

  63. Zac Myers-avatar

I'm new to working out and eating healthy. This app and all other versions of Freeletics has been a lifesaver. All of my questions are answered directly in the app and step by step instructions are amazing. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to change their diet and lifestyle.

  64. Victor P-avatar

There is a lack of food restrictions or diets based on food allergies (lactose, fluten, dried fruit,...). However you have restrictions based on trends (vegetarian, vegan, ...) that do not generally correspond with health issues. Overall, a poor application with fashionable recipes but not real useful options or information

  65. Minas Marios Kontis-avatar

    Minas Marios Kontis

Tasty and clean recipes but unrealistic program. Can't buy 30 new ingredients for each day. In my option user should select base materials, or materials he has and the app to make the matching with recipes. As for now, it will only work if you have a big budget and willing to be inside the kitchen haft the day.

  66. Carolina Ramos-avatar

Over all the app is fine and I like it, but it is not adapted to other not German-like countries. The dishes it recommends are very European and many ingredients are not even found in my country. I find it a bit hard to fit the food I eat with their suggestions.

  67. Ru J-avatar

a great app for nutrition if you are to lose weight /gain muscle / keep fit it is amazing and well designed . The recipies are really yummy , flavourful and fun to eat . I always thought that to lose weight u need to cut carbs and sugar and fat but this app changed this misconception . I eat my carbs my fat and i get to eat Fruits in the most enjoyable way. The recipies are easy to make and the shopping list makes it easier to shop ingredients and stay on track . Definetely recommended

  68. Joseph Priddy-avatar

so far love the app. the points are meaningless. if I had a ton of friends and we were competing for higher points it would be fun but honestly the points arent going to motivate me. maybe some how do it to were we can use our points to get stuff from the shop. that would motivate me to get points.

  69. heidimgib-avatar

I like the meals - they're tastier and more filling than other apps - and I like the shopping list feature. I don't like that you have to go to the shopping list to find the meals you selected or that the selections are limited.

  70. marilenakas-avatar

Overall, it's an app that makes clean eating easier. A few improvements would be nice, like being able to search through the recipes by ingredient and an option to meal prep bigger batches that would cover more than one meal to minimize the prep.

  71. Stephenie Yeung-avatar

    Stephenie Yeung

Good for inspiration but if you are vegan, you'll have to modify pretty frequently. Sure, you can substitute feta for vegan feta, but they are pretty damn expensive or you have to use something entirely different. Also, heaps of the recipes are egg based (devil eggs, fritters etc) which will probably not work as well with chia seeds as substitute XD zuchinni fritter with chia seeds anyone? Would very much like to see more vegan/ vegan friendly recipes

  72. Valeriya Trifiltseva-avatar

    Valeriya Trifiltseva

its totally useless. you can't register your meals or track anything. it's just a bunch of fixed recipes and recommendations which can be found in any app or blog. this is definitely not what you expect from a coach.

  73. Nikky-avatar

Exceptional app. It is worth the investment. It tailors to you, provides a nutrition plan based on your "diet", and advances as you get stronger. I recommend it!

  74. Avi Dey-avatar

The app is great for planning your meals and tracking your food but the only dissapointment I have is that it doesn't have an Indian menu. Here in India most of the items are not available easily at the local grocery...I have to get them from a super market. Indian grocery items have a wide range of healthy and nutritious foods..would have been great if it had an in-built Indian meal plan.

  75. Ashlene Allen-avatar

Unfortunately, the app doesn't meet my needs. As I don't enjoy spending an hour every night cooking, I prefer meal prepping in advance. Also, as these recipes are mostly for a single serving, I feel it would create a lot of food waste, which I am trying to avoid.

  76. Samiksha sharma-avatar

    Samiksha sharma

i have been using this application from 4/5 days. quite easy to generates a shopping list. it offers 3 option for each meal and even if you don't want more option you can get that too.

I've been using this app just fine. With the latest update, it is literally unusable and I'm highly disappointed. It crashes before even opening fully.

excellent app. i love the feature of adding the ingredients of a recipe to the shopping list, but I think the list should have sorting options, or at least be alphabetically organized.

Been using it for 5 months now in combination with some training journey's and it's really great. I love the recipes really creative and yummy. But I'd love to have some new recipes added it does get a bit repetitive after 4 months.

SCAM ALERT: I enrolled in the paid subscription as a trial, was charged $95.99 at the end of the trail without notice of the trial end reminder the developer promises upon enrollment. Didn't see $95.99 annual fee worth of value in the product so canceled my subscription/requested a refund IMMEDIATELY after charged. These jokers do not reply to requests for refund. Not via email or even when submitting it directly through their website support. AFTER 10 DAYS no replies. Escalated to Google.

basic app we should be able to track when we didn't stick to the nutritional tips, when we ate unnecessary carbs or fats.. when we skipped a meal.. by adding these changes, dieting becomes challenging in a positive way..

no option for regional recipe, can you add regional recipe, like asia, europa or elsewhere because some of the ingredients, lot of it, sometimes it's not available on my country or very hard to get. i don't mind with giving ingredients data from my country, for the sake of this community

Good recipes, but following the plan is really time consuming. The shopping list feature is very useful. but the overall internation could be easier.

  84. Amit Joshi-avatar

amazing recipes. highly customizable. at first i thought all ingredients suggested would ve very expensive. but the app gives many options to choose from so it never gers boring.

  85. Ivo Almeida-avatar

just horrible. it is way too basic. you can't select a low carb, or keto, or paleo diet. you cant track your macros unless you use myfitnesspal which infinitely superior to this. avoid this app like the plague!!

No way to choose spec dietary requirements or swap recipes. 8fit app was amazing comparing with this one. Very poor and needs many updates. Do not recommend at this stage.

There's lots of recipe choices, but that's the problem. I don't need to eat something unique five times a day for the rest of my life. It should be a lot easier to choose like 10 recipes for the week and generate a shoppable list.

Sorry but i regret my desicion on subscribing on freeletic nutrition. Dont get me wrong. I am a coach user of freeletic training from 1 year ago. But this, their recipe is so hard to follow. I live in south east asia, maybe this app just for people in the europe. Not for people all over the world.

Is a very good app. Provides recipes and shopping lists, although some ingredients or recipes can be a bit inconvenient. Would reccomend.

I love the recipes, and the overall app. I would line to see a search function that allows you to type, or maybe I'm just missing it.

app is so good but just make sure that th food items mainly avocado ,which Is rarely available in india .Consider it's availability .App should be designed in such a way that the AI in it should figure out the country's food items availability and then it should recommend us proper diet based on it.That's all we want.

It's pretty good. It offers reasonable nutritional plans. However, I would like to see a more diverse menu. The current menu is Euro-centric. It would be nice if it was more inclusive.

I tried to like this app for 6 months and just know to expect from customer service reps: robotic, not original, cookie cutter, with zero apologetic considerate attitude. I read some bad reviews but tried to look past them as the company seemed like at first they'd be willing to make changes based on feedback. NOPE!! One issue was food preferences. Before I purchased the app I asked about food preferences and they responded (it's also in the app when you try to edit) that they were working on adding more options. 5 months later, nothing has changed and same response. In nutrition app, it's bad if you like to meal prep as each day in the app you're suggested new recipes but you can't repeat those same recipes on another day. I suffered some injuries and needed to modify, and in the routine you've been given, you can't swap out exercises that may have less impact. It's what you're prescribed and that is it. Further, if you can't finish your workout for whatever reason that day, the only option is to quit the workout and your progress is lost. It doesn't let you quit halfway and at least save the data you earned. Won't give partial $ back even though I have 6 months subscription left.

Good. its better if it has region wise suggestions. Suggestions should be based on availability of food which are easy to find.

  95. Justin Mathews-avatar

There is not enough variety in the recipes and they are too complicated for me, personally. I would rather they were simple and no-frills.

good app. would be better with some addedd features: search function to search by ingredients or recipe name. could also add recipes to favourites etc
