Get to a healthier and more active life with the new Google Fit! It's hard to know how much or what kind of activity you need to stay healthy. That's why Google Fit worked with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA) to bring you two new activity goals that can help improve your health: Move Minutes and Heart Points • Move Minutes When it comes to your health, it's important to move more and sit less. Earn Move Minutes for all of your activity and get motivated to make small, healthier changes throughout your day, such as taking the stairs instead of the lift, or catching up with a friend over a walk instead of a coffee. • Heart Points Activities that get your heart pumping harder have tremendous health benefits for your heart and mind. You'll earn one Heart Point for each minute of moderate activity, like picking up the pace when walking your dog, and double points for more intense activities like running. It takes just 30 minutes of brisk walking five days a week to reach the AHA and WHO's recommended amount of physical activity, which is shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve sleep and increase overall mental well-being. Google Fit will also help you: TRACK YOUR WORKOUTS FROM YOUR PHONE OR WATCH Get instant insights when you exercise and see real-time stats for your runs, walks and bike rides. Fit will use your Android phone's sensors or Wear OS by Google smartwatch's heart rate sensors to record your speed, pace, route and more. MONITOR YOUR GOALS See your daily progress for Heart Points and Move Minutes. Meeting your goals each day? Based on your activity and goal progress, Google Fit will help you adjust them so that you can keep challenging yourself to achieve a healthy heart and mind. MAKE ALL YOUR MOVEMENT COUNT If you walk, run or cycle during the day, your Android phone or Wear OS by Google smartwatch will automatically detect and add your activities to your Google Fit journal to ensure that you get credit for every move. Enjoy a different type of workout? Select it from a list of activities such as pilates, rowing or spinning, and Google Fit will track all the Heart Points and Move Minutes that you earn. GET COACHING THAT FITS YOU Get customised tips and actionable coaching, like help adjusting your goals based on your activity CONNECT WITH YOUR FAVOURITE APPS AND DEVICES Fit can show you info from many of your favourite apps and devices to give you a holistic view of your health, so you'll never lose track of your progress. Reviews

It's okay. I remember it having more functionality back when I had a moto360 years ago. Why isn't there an enormous heart rate button I can press while I'm working out? Instead I have to scroll and squint to find the tiny button. Also I can't edit the length of my workout. I forget to end my workout, and it keeps recording my driving. This is a basic setting that needs to change. **update, the dev gave me directs on how to edit workout type not length. there is no way to edit length. runaround

Purposely didn't update fit on my watch so I could keep the pedometer, the app then auto updates over night and removes all the features I used it for. NEVER remove existing features from an app if you are going force people to update. If you think you know better just change the default but you have essentially taken an app I used daily and made sure I will never ever open it again.

Update: The update from a few months back royally screwed the app up. Fit went from a solid B application with a few issues to D-. Not only did you not address the issues, you created new ones and made previously easy functions harder or non-existent. Who exactly thought that a massive overhaul like this was necessary. I can't imagine how badly y'all will screw the music apps in the coming months. Was 3/5 now 1/5 Stars.

Update: After the app updated on 11/28 it the calorie estimates stopped functioning they way they had. I now have stretches of time where the app says that I burned zero calories. I downloaded my Fit data using Takeout and that shows different numbers than what is displayed in the app. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. It does seem like the activity tracking still works the same but for me the calorie tracking has been one of most useful functions of the app. I like the redesign of the app and appreciate the background behind the Heart Points. They absolutely need to bring back the widget so you can check your progress without having to open the app.

Google fit is a great app. works well to track my activity and heart rate. i have the app on my phone and Fossil smart watch. what I don't understand is, why Google Fit workout is not available on my phone? I'd like to be able to add additional exercises using my phone, instead of my watch all the time. it works well on my watch, but adding exercise routines to my list of options, when I'm not working out would be a great addition to the app.

This app used to be great before the recent updates and the current version just ruined every training plan of mine. Extremely disappointed with the app Firstly this app could not track my fitness activities It can sync with my fitbit app but CANT track my fitbit activities! Then what is the point of syncing with app in the first point. This is a horrible update! Please fix this problem!

The new version of Google Fit is confusing. It does not take step information from mi fit, nor does it give an option to use the step information from the mi fit app. The developers should give an option to the user to opt for the source of information. Also, it does not seem to be able to transfer activities information to mfp properly. I don't know if this this an issue with mfp or Google Fit..

I installed the app after some time..like the design's first Impression. The problem I have is that I have 2 devices (Nexus 5x and Pixel 2) and the daily data is not synced between them at all. Whatever I do with that device in my pocket is recorded, but when I have only one phone with me, the other is missing that movement data. - I am logged in with the same account on both devices. Is this as intended (which I would understand) or is there something I need to do, to get same data on both devices?

I hate the new update. Goals are no longer supported. The only new goals allowed now are "Move Minutes" and "Heart Points". My goals gave me a concrete goal to aim for. Widgets are no longer supported. Favorite activities seem to be removed so you have to scroll through the whole list now when you want to start an activity. That blazing white background is brighter than the sun in a dark room. Useless notifications such as, "Keep going," while I'm trapped at my desk at work. Edit: Just saw the widgets in the list and remembered how much I hate this app now. It used to be nearly perfect. Now BARF.

I really should try some other fitness apparently because this one blows. It gives you heart points it takes them away. One minute you have walked five miles an hour later it says four and a half. One week I'm burning 3200 calories a day. The next week I'm even more active and I'm burning 2500 calories a day. One week I have to really push to earn heart points, the next week the apparently is giving them out like candy. Fit's step count never matches the pedometer apparently on my phone. I'm not expecting accuracy from an apparently on my phone but without consistency it's just frustrating. And God knows what they are doing with the data.

It's a decent app I rely on it for almost any activities. I have some suggestions like when starting any activity chooser doesn't have any search facility. That makes cumbersome to get your desired activity and an on an average I start feeling lazy to record any of my activity. Also my scooter ride is counted as cycling this start giving all wrong stats about me.

Great app. I really like it. The only issue I have is that the last version in not updating the wear app on my wear v1.4 - Android 6.0.2 Moto 360 1st gen. The watch app stopped to work making the app definitely less useful. I tried to contact the Devs at the email specified here receiving an automated no-reply answer. I'm struggling finding a way to contact you to sort this out. Not a great experience, Google! Please help as I would like to give you 5 stars!

Wish I could undo updates until the app is back to the old layout. + New layout is terrible. I dislike the pulsing feature on the "Move Mins" & "Hearts Pts" on the home page. And it's too complicated to see total past steps and distance because the pages don't load easily. Also the weight history, I prefer the old graph, much easier to read. Can't read Steps, Calories, and Miles all on the same graph tab anymore. Have to go back and select them separately.

i am trying to connect multiple apps to fit so i can have a common app in place of different once for each smart band, Apps like FasTrack Reflex and honor health app. both the apps say they are connected to fit but i cant see the activity data from them in the timeline.

They erased the widget which makes the app useless. I've had it for years but today I'm deleting it and looking for one with a widget. Does Google not realize that widgets are what makes Android better than iOS? *Update: they added a great new widget so I changed my rating. Great work guys! This one is even better than the old version

Awful layout. No wait, disastrous, ugly and absolutely non practical. An Bring back steps counting. I don't care for freaking Heart points, nobody cares. We want steps, minutes and metrics. For every day, not just for current day. And dark theme. For all your apps. Awful UI and usability. Like all Google apps lately...

I couldnt even get past the sign up part, it wouldn't even take my height or weight, and I got stuck at the move minutes goal. Literally unusable. Edit:after uninstalling and reinstalling since the update, I can't even verify my account. I have a good connection though. Still unusable. Edit #2: The app is now useable, thank you for fixing it. Now maybe I can actually review it.

Very good and very easy to use. It would be only better if they count the inclination of the ground (since they already have the terrain height in the maps) when running. Also a search bar in the list of activities or the possibility of adding favorite activities to avoid going through all the list would be grand.

People, please don't get fooled by this app. I wonder if Google really is behind this because nothing is accurate about it. I am an avid runner and this app only captures half the distance. The steps are somewhat ok but I doubt the heart rate. When I drive it captures as cycling 🤔

Woohoo the widget is back, took long enough to figure out people actually use it (Old review here down) What Happened? Did you guys put the devs of PUBG on this update build because now it's broken. Heart points come on really and why did the widget get removed it was one of the most useful parts of this app for daily use.
