Terrible connection issues. It appears to be a known problem with bluetooth connection and they don't seem to care to fix it. It was a great system both hardware and software, not anymore. I would stay away and go somewhere else for your bbq controller needs. Sure hope they fix it soon. Never had this problem of "waiting on temperature data" before about August. Pretty bad that if they know the issue they can't fix it in 3+ month. BUYER BEWARE!

When it works device and an app are of the charts best thing that happened to bbq.BBQ. that being sad .... Ever since an update late last year I was unsuccessful connecting 2 different brand android devices. It works great on my wife's iPhone. Conracted company and informed them about my findings,, waiting on update to see if problem is fixed.

Does not connect via Bluetooth...new phone. Uninstalled....installed..Bluetooth on/off scan...cannot "add device" as the app does not see the fireboard or serial number. :-( I think I tried all the normal "troubleshooting " ideas. Disappointed

Works great for my new Yoder. Small learning curve due to how many things are hidden at the click of text. Super easy to use once you get the gist of it.

App sucks Worked first time. Now will not hook up to any Bluetooth. If I wanted to do it without fireboard, I would not have spent this money. Told it was the best controller. WRONG.

Complete waste of money. App is absurdly inconsistent, does whatever it wants and provides no control over temperature, display, etc. DO NOT BUY

It's...just not good at all on my brand new YS640S. Struggles to maintain a connection as it bounces between Bluetooth and WiFi. The auto sessions are beyond annoying. And then for a notification you have the option of always on, even when the smoker is off, or absolutely nothing. It's 2021, pay a contractor to build you an app if you don't have the talent internally.

App seems super buggy. Randomly crashes, I've created my own session only for it to revert back to the original auto-session, etc. Have had Random temperature spikes due to the fan running when it shouldn't be. Appears to be lag issues with the app and wifi/Bluetooth connection.

The device and app combo is a game changer. Worried about a tackling a brisket because if the long commitment? Fear no more, this thing will keep the fire going perfectly through the night with the data to prove it.

I received a FireBoard for Father's Day and absolutely love it. The flexibility to use different probes and to monitor 6 temps at once is sweet! I would love to give a 5 star rating, but I am bummed that the app does not allow for turning the phone sideways for widescreen. It did when I first got it, but for some reason they changed it (at least in Android). Now, when I have all 6 probes going, I have to scroll through to see all the temps. I used to be able to see them all at a glance. I really hope they go back to the old way.
