Google TV has been a nightmare. You can't bingewatch (auto-play the next episode) without cutting the last 10-15 secs of the show. You can't easily skip the theme songs. It takes forever to broadcast to your tv (and I'm using a chromecast!) And now, they've even removed the "continue watching" from the main menu so you can't even continue watching a show from where you left off last time. I really wouldn't buy content from Google playstore if they weren't on sale. Very disappointing experience.

Crashes ("There was an error") every time I attempt to watch a movie. I attempted to fix the problem by following all the directions provided by Google (re-install, update, restart, etc.), and the app still fails to play the movie. I use a Google Pixelbook which is a premium product made by Google. I paid for the movie and downloaded it to the device. I'm am unable to watch it. Completely worthless app. Worse than worthless because I spent money on a movie (that I can't watch).

What happened?! Unable to watch any of my purchases! Thought maybe it's just my phone, but lo and behold it's happening on my tablet too. I can hear what's going on, but can't see what's going on. And, based on other's reviews, seems I'm not the only one having said issues. Fix it already!!! What's most interesting is that when I was using this app on Android 8 there were no issues, however, update after update you can't get your s*#t together for Android 10... Rant to be continued...

Ever since we switched to Google TV, it has been a NIGHTMARE trying to play anything from my library. It loads and loads and loads but never actually plays. Even the movies I've downloaded to my device have trouble loading. And I'm on a Pixel 5. You'd think that Google TV should work seamlessly ON IT'S OWN DEVICE. And I used to be able to watch the movies from the web browser on my laptop and they've taken that feature away now too. Definitely a downgrade from it's predecessor.

The video players doesn't't work. I've tried watching several shows but it always keeps buffering after a few seconds and then an error message pops up saying "Something went wrong while trying to play the video. Please try again". If you are considering making any purchases of movies or shows on this app, don't! I guarantee you'll be requesting for a refund soon afterwards.

The movie player is still great and the ability to pre-download what you own is pretty good, but this new setup... all I can say is oof. I use the Disney Plus app to watch Disney Plus, I really don't need a TV guide for this. At least it's pretty easy to get around, but I'd like the ability to have a default starting tab so I can just open it up to what I've bought.

The app now will not allow me to watch movies/videos in my library. I re-installed it to see if that would help and it dod not. The old version was better even though it had casting glitches. This app has been up for a while and it seems we should not be having this problem. Watching video is the very basis of this app and it doesn't allow that. Steps did not work. Trying to reach support.

Few UX issues / Feature Requests 1. If you rate a movie and then in the next screen you rate and movie, and then next screen you rent a movie, the thing you really start longing for his an easy way to jump back to the home screen. 2. Once I've linked up my library and my services, I want an easy way to filter all content only to that content that is free to me. 3. In watchlist I want the ability to create custom lists for things like, kid friendly movies, Super hero movies, etc.

I'm so tired of the app changing/combining/rebranding/losing features. Between all the messaging apps, changes to Google pay, Google music and now this. My advice is to stick with an app name/branding and just update it. Why is that so hard? I'm done with android because I'm tired of this, ready to give Apple a try. Edit, now you are moving my movie library to YouTube but just on certain smart TV's? This makes perfect sense and my decision easier thank you.

I have about 600 movies on google play. Never had a single problem with that program. Now they remove that altogether and stick me with this. I'm having nothing but problems on everything I download. It is a pretty impressive failure when something you have downloaded needs to buffer while playing as if it is being streamed with low bandwidth. I would love to have my google play back that only has my movies and tv shows on it. Rather than buried under tons of ads and subs of things I don't want.
