Google Play Reviews

  1. Kshitij Patil-avatar

I've been a regular user of Feedly for many years now and I loved using it for my blog reading. Unfortunately, the app experience has been going downhill for a long time now. The new design is very complicated to use and looks very bland due to the pure-white and pure-black look. It would also help if the app showed notifications for trending stories in the feed or if we could get notifications for certain feeds.

  2. Gary Scheaffer-avatar

Great app, but missing features and little development. I've been using Feedly for over five years now, and I can say that this is a great rss reader. Were it not for a few points it would be five stars. Lack of notifications. Updates to feeds must be checked for manually. The media player is minimalistic. This is not an ideal reader for podcasts. Very little development. I've only seen one major update and minor bug fixes are few and far between. Any issues are not likely to be resolved soon.

  3. Beauford A. Stenberg-avatar

    Beauford A. Stenberg

I downloaded this Feedly Android app on FireOS 5.3 (based on customised Android 5.1), & couldn't login OR create a new account (something about an: object Object error). I read the spec, according to that I should be right to go from this end. Any insight or assistance to resolve this issue would be appreciated. I have played with Feedly before and it was excellent. I have also sent you an email. 👿

  4. Robert Hughes-avatar

If you want large fonts to show up in the article feed, it's not intuitive. This reader does not respect system font size settings there. But the Feedly Team responded that you can go into any specific article and you will see an "Aa" menu option at the top of the article. Changing the font size there also changes the font size in the feed. 4 stars for the team being responsive and I can change the font size even if it's not intuitive.

  5. Noah Ratcliff-avatar

This app is great for discovering and aggregating RSS feeds. Unfortunately, the UX is very poorly thought out. I have spent weeks trying to figure out how to remove feeds. After poking through what felt like every menu I finally went to the Feedly website for help. Of course, the instructions were wrong for the mobile app. I just now discovered how to do it by reading the developer's response to another review with the same issues.

  6. Ancgon-avatar

This might be the Best news app. It lets u follow the channel's you are only interested in. So it doesn't show much unnecessary & uninteresting stuff. But still it's harder to find channel's if u are younger like me & if u don't follow news channels. You won't know the names of any channel & So need a easier way to add & find channel's & also some article doesn't show the content before u open them in the browser by clicking on the title. It takes more time & not effective. So please try to fix

  7. Jan Janković-avatar

Looks good except that they refuse to do push notifications so they can conviniently refer you to use zapier which in turn requires a paid Feedly subscription. How's that for slick ? Long live solutionism! Edit: dev says notifications are coming, respect. I'm adding stars here as a thumbs up <3

  8. Matt Moevil-avatar

Nice app but could do better. Generally I like the functions it offers but if some small details fixed it will be more perfect: 1. The fade article animation drops frames. Not sure if it is just me but it always happens on my Galaxy S8 phone. 2. Need an auto switch for day/night modes, eg, switch following ambient lighting like what Telegram and Pocket do, or at least following system setting or can be scheduled manually. Thanks!

  9. O D-avatar

I like the app BUT it really irritates me that every 3d time i scroll the article it closes it and i me to reopen it and find the place where my reading was interrupted. Every time I get an update I hope it's fixed but no, it's still there, since one year. Am I doing something wrong?

  10. Tiva Quinn-avatar

Loved it for many years, but recently it can't scroll past videos properly. The video holds down the upper half of the screen while I try to scroll through my article text in the lower half.

  11. Frank Anbiens-avatar

Suddenly this app won't stop crashing - typically when reading anything critical of 45's latest buffoonery... Coincidence? Either way, it's not worth the card space if I can't get through a single article that isn't about video games.

  12. Michael Smith Jr-avatar

    Michael Smith Jr

This has been my go to source for news since I can control the sources and view the unfiltered feed. But now it likes to restart randomly while reading articles. Not very helpful for keeping up with the news.

  13. Rhys Berwick-avatar

Use the app and browser version, really useful app for aggregating news sources. Has enough options for what I want to use it for. Wish the free version just gave a little more options but does a lot for free without ads and doesn't bug you to register the full version. Pretty considerate developers.

  14. LG Henning-avatar

Good app for the most part. I have a connectivity issues with one of the news feeds on my phone app but not on my pc. Would like to know how to report issues rather than using review board.

  15. Curtis Richardson-avatar

    Curtis Richardson

Obnoxious bugging to upgrade to paid subscription. It's a good app to see how an article is going to read (most articles don't provide the full thing to rss feeds). UI is nice enough. If you're after a functional rss reader that doesn't bug you to the point you can no longer properly search for feeds, maybe look elsewhere.

  16. Mike Walkuski-avatar

Constantly freezes. It used to be great but recently it will freeze constantly. It almost always freezes when going back to the list from an article. It will also randomly freeze whole scrolling articles and you will get the message that the app isn't responding. Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

  17. Björn-avatar

Currently trialling Pro+, Feedly is my "go to all in one news feed retriever" but to get that elusive fifth star for the rating, PLEASE add the app ability to search in the Twitter Tab and not just keep it to browser only function.

  18. Cenon Del Rosario-avatar

    Cenon Del Rosario

Good for setting up feeds but the UI needs a whole lot of work which keeps this app from good ratings. Improvements: Retain position in list after reading an article, allow arranging of Feeds rather than alphabetical, set default Feed when starting up rather than All, Today or Favorite.

  19. Árni Hjartarson-avatar

    Árni Hjartarson

I liked the idea of this app and decided to try it out. Half an hour in I've been forced to sign up to be able to try it, then when I want Search for feeds to follow I'm repeatedly asked to subscribe to unlock the search button. I've come to the conclusion that this app is not for me.

  20. Michał Januszewski-avatar

    Michał Januszewski

Not very intuitive. I often have to click like 100 times until I find what I am looking for. 2 stars for the ease of adding new feeds

  21. Austin Jeans-avatar

This app fulfills its purpose and is a great tool, much better than going to each website individually. The app interface is well designed and makes it easy to find what you're looking for. Well worth the install.

  22. Novantric-avatar

Not as simple as I'd like, cluttered and takes a while to start up but is now a viable alternative to read following its adware update.

  23. Marcus Johnson-avatar

Constantly crashes when opening items in feed. Doesn't seem to matter which source it comes from. Can only read headlines.

  24. Yermiyahu Ornstein-avatar

    Yermiyahu Ornstein

Free! Excellent on the desktop and on the phone. And it's free! Was a lifesaver after Google shut down reader.

  25. Cory Spencer-avatar

I really like the app and the design. Would like to see Android 10 light/dark theme support. Right now the app feels out of place since the March Pixel feature drop with ability to auto change the theme from light to dark depending on the time of day.

  26. Vaibhav Gogia-avatar

Great concept but poorly executed. I'm not able to create a feed. Shows an error saying 'only one id allowed'.

  27. Magik-avatar

Very useful app. The first thing I do when I woke up is reading at least 4 article. and it have all source that you need and all topics that you interested on. Highly recommend

  28. Dave Spina-avatar

It's probably the best rss available, but is missing some simple features like long pressing on images to increase size for a quick view. Not easy to increase text size. I wish there was more customization.

  29. Thi Erry-avatar

Can't have more than 3 feeds groups now? This is ridiculous. I have been a happy user and promoter for years, but you have lost me.

  30. David T Smith-avatar

On pixel 4 XL scrolling is very stuttery. Have enabled mark as read while scrolling, been a problem for months, if not years.

  31. David Burgess-avatar

Decent organisation and display of feeds, but slows down after you've scrolled through more than about half a dozen pages of articles. You have to close the app and open again to get it smooth.

  32. Juho Salokangas-avatar

    Juho Salokangas

My #1 RSS reader. Can you implement feature that downloads article marked for later reading as a offline copy (handy to read them in airplane for example)

  33. Priv User-avatar

Would be nice if you could listen and browse at the same time. APP needs a better interface, maybe like TuneIn.

  34. joy alawadhi-avatar

Why this app shown no network. I reinstall it but same thing. Please fix it. I love this app... Update : now the problem is solved..the app working again Thanks alot ( update problem solved)

  35. Leonard Miclos-avatar

I like this app. I give poor star rating because you cannot exit from it by back button. You have to use home button. Please correct, its annoying to press back and nothing to happen.

  36. Summer Maraschino-avatar

    Summer Maraschino

after one of updates smth changed and now when i open the application there is a black window with logo 'feedly' and that's all.. disappointed so much, as I get used to read news every day..

  37. James Finn-avatar

Why the recent change? Did one of your programmers think 'Hey, we haven't done anything stupid since that whole "classic" debacle!' and try to figure out a new way to piss off users? Updates are supposed to improve the user experience.

  38. Carlos Garcia-avatar

Cannot log in, keeps saying bad cookie. O have erased the app storage and uninstalled and still cannot log in with Feedly account.

  39. Danny Wang-avatar

Really buggy. Can reliably reproduce a bug when clicking into a story, the app becomes frozen for >10s.

  40. Marc Mertens-avatar

Paying for pro to have a search option (Arguably the most basic thing an app like this must have from scratch) is ridiculous. Make some other feature pro.

  41. Mohammad El Musleh-avatar

    Mohammad El Musleh

After trying so many news app I can tell you this app is great, just give it a try and you will love it. Everything is just perfect.

  42. Gourab Mukherjee-avatar

    Gourab Mukherjee

Great UI. Someone who loves to read instead of watching babbling youtubers all the day will find it peaceful. Damn why did I not discover this earlier..

  43. Heather Cheng-avatar

The UI is nice. I subscribe some RSS, but why we can't read the whole articles in this app, but open the link in another browser,it's very inconvenient.

  44. VAQAR REHMANI-avatar

The best app to read & stay updated with all the things you'll ever want! Its a must use app for me.

  45. Aaron Lee-avatar

Terrible UI, nothing is intuitive. Adding and remove sites to aggregate is a hassle. Icons are ambiguous.

  46. Niraj Shah-avatar

Can no longer save images. Keep getting a no suitable folder found error. Can't see any setting to choose a folder either. Useless.

  47. vivek ratnawat-avatar

Unable to configure the app, nothing happens after i click on login with Google. No content available to browse.

  48. Omar Masarweh-avatar

I like the design of the app but it's not intuitive, I can't figure out how to remove a feed without having to look it up on Google.

  49. Chris A.-avatar

Feedly is great for RSS feeds on PC and smartphones, but it lacks a Samsung DeX compatibility.

  50. Sundip Jadeja-avatar

No longer able to see articles more than 30 days old, which means the app is completely unsuitable for me. Uninstalled.

  51. Sunil Sharma-avatar

The dark mode is too dark, seems buggy, not a good experience to read in dark mode.

  52. Berman Reshetnikov-avatar

    Berman Reshetnikov

Feedly Classic looks way better. It's a shame it isn't maintained anymore.

  53. Maxime Blanchette-avatar

    Maxime Blanchette

Feedly doesn't work with academia. I tried to paste my EbscoHost RSS link into Feedly and it doesn't work.

  54. Dhruvee Shah-avatar

Lovely app but I have to struggle with refreshing content sometimes.

  55. Ater Felis-avatar

Completely unusable without an account or login.

  56. B B-avatar

Font increase or decrease option is not implemented.

  57. Abinash Dash-avatar

Amazing app for reading articles of your own interest ...love it!!!

  58. Iain Walker-avatar

The widget is broken, has been for some time now.

  59. Hon Sinaam-avatar

Why am I stuck when I open an article?

  60. darren tate-avatar

Add automatic night theme and you're back up to 5*😉

  61. Eugene van der Watt-avatar

    Eugene van der Watt

For supplying quality news sources alone!

  62. ZAIM ASSIST-avatar

Chose the topics im interested in,but the app is showing me the news from absolutely different topics

  63. Chris D. Butler-avatar

    Chris D. Butler

On my Android, Feedly authentication won't work-endlessly cycles back to landing page (yes I've reinstalled app, ensured no typos, reset pw-endlessly. That + making any kind of search of news for a "free" news feed reader a deluxe feature, gets 2 stars. Max.

  64. Ed Boress-avatar

Not Google but been using it for a long time. It serves its purpose. And it serves its purpose well.

  65. Bhavesh Arora-avatar

featureless trash. abandoned. just trivial bug fixes.

  66. hesham mohamed-avatar

It's great, but I can't find the widget anymore!

  67. Fuquan Wang-avatar

Updated Nov 18, 2019. Downrated from 3 stars to 1 star. The new update has removed all my subscriptions forces me to login. The devs are trying to monetize but please give a notice in advance. Original: The new version is buggy. No checkpoints as there used to be, and the scrolling becomes sluggish if there are more than 100 unread feeds. And the design basically forces me to set all as read every time, otherwise it starts to show all feeds AGAIN the next time when the app is opened.

  68. Andrew Thomas-avatar

The interface is hard to get used to. It seems that you can only have 3 feeds by default, and the subscriptions are way too expensive. I'd pay $10/mo for the more expensive subscription, and a one time $10 purchase or $3/mo for the lower end one, but 6 and 16 are just crazy. I think I'd rather just continue using Google News in my browser.

  69. Conor Grissom-avatar

This is the only app that a podcast i gave money to via Patreon is able to play to the exclusive content, so cheers, but the audio stops, without fail, at most six minutes in and requires playing back from earlier in the clip, even if I'm on Wi-Fi. Please make the effort to improve the audio clips on your site or, god forbid, this one person in a flyover state will leave your service. Thank you.

  70. Patrick Dixon-avatar

I would really like to rate this app higher but, 1.There is no way to subscribe to a feed directly from a browser: sharing between processes attempts to save the current URL to a board. This really makes it slow to discover content outside the app and add it, which is really the whole point of this. 2. Managing sources once you've made them is cumbersome with lots of weird choices about which submenus things live in. 3. No infinite scroll. This isn't 2008. I will not be renewing my subscription.

  71. James Dixon-avatar

This app was great when I first installed it, super clean and simple. Subsequent updates have muddied the interface and I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove sources from my lists. It used to be intuitive with a giant "edit" button. Now there is only an "add content" button which only allows you to add. So annoying when the efforts of software engineers undermine their own goals and ruin something they did right the first time. The dots on the top right only change view and density

  72. BarcodeKevin-avatar

Unfixed since July 2019 - Missing feature. The old version provided a button to show image captions. Needed for people with vision problems, but useful for comics that used captions to add to their content. See XKCD. You started to roll this out to some, but not all {see Devil's Panties}. Why can't I see captions for ALL images that have them.

  73. KM-avatar

Used for months without issue. Recently tried to remove source from feed but get infinite loading when I try going to sources. Gave it a few days, no fix, so I email support. After a while they get back with "have you tried using a browser." While a perfectly viable temporary solution it doesn't do a thing to address the problem at hand; a feature which has been broken for some time with no fix in sight. Now it won't even load anything in my feed. Completely broken.

  74. Tot Truong-avatar

Since a few weeks Feedly is very unstable. Every so often it happens that the app doesn't react when I'm trying to open an article from the list (but that doesn't seem to be the only scenario to crash the app). I'm quite surprised that this bug wasn't addressed yet since I'm on a mainstream phone (s10 that is) and yes, I know that a review isn't the right way to address a bug. @dev I can't reproduce it but happens almost every time I'm using Feedly. I'm using text only view & compact density.

  75. Chris Kennedy-avatar

The non standard gestures and navigation are really annoying. E.g. jump to all at the end of the feed, the usage of back button, the left hand menu behaviour. Would be nice to have a setting to reduce some of these. Detecting and grouping the same news story from multiple sources like Google news does would be really good. Bug: if open app with phone held landscape but locked to portrait, splash screen rotates to landscape and then back to portrait.

  76. Andrew Turincio-avatar

    Andrew Turincio

I've recently switched over from news360 to Feedly simply because the former app kept pushing news that was not relevant to topics and also from other country sources. Feedly does a good job at providing relevant subject matter, but one thing I would like to have is the ability to block certain articles from news feeds that I don't care to see or aren't relevant.

  77. Ali Reza Amirmostofian-avatar

    Ali Reza Amirmostofian

Still issues with Google keyword alerts and Twitter integration. I would give 5 stars if those issues would be solved. I use the app for many years and can recommend it.

  78. Jennifer A-avatar

LOVE this app! I can follow Rammstein to Investing to Fashion! It's the stuff I wanna read and it seems to be EXACTLY what I want when I want to read my favorite topics! Thanks for getting me away from refreshing google topics!! So much easier. And the dark mode is just right for this girl of the dark! :] Def gets the approval from the underworld!

  79. Phil Kuipers-avatar

Beware. It's a great app for people who like picking thier own news sources, however, the "explore" feature which is supposed to bring relevant and interesting articles seemingly are very political biased. Like the ability to pick the sources. Rss layout is great within the app... But the widget.. Displaying one cumbersome image at a time. Would be nice if widget was transparent and could smooth scroll and display more then a single image.

  80. Unown NoChange-avatar

Can't access setting, swipe left bar is blank.

  81. Blaize skocny-avatar

My last review was 1star I have since changed it 0 stars but it wouldn't let me. They did fix my problem. But now it seems like everything is behind a paywall. Even searching for keywords is 8$ a month. I paid for the app years ago now I must pay more to use features that were free.

  82. Prince Kassab-avatar

This app looks and works smooth like butter. I love the sync between Android and iOS. Sadly, the free version feels very limited, and compared to other paid services, the subscription is too expensive to justify paying for. So I basically shrinked my app usage to gaming news.

  83. Dave Tedesco-avatar

Seems to work again.. Best news app out there.

  84. Deniz O-avatar

Just the best RSS reader out there!

  85. David Porter-avatar

So much better than Google News. Unfortunately the app usually crashes when I visit the website to see an article. Very annoying!

  86. Robert Pence-avatar

Cannot do the minimum correctly. Compared to all the other streaming apps, Hulu cannot or poorly duplicates features that are consider standard. Poor content availability, poor playback resume, no PIP. Requires location data when not applicable. When location not enabled, degrade to non-live content or offline content, duh! 160+ seconds of advertisements. How long until Disney flexes their majority shares and rolls Hulu in to Disney+? "You're our only hope, Disney+".

  87. J Ong-avatar

When the app works, it's great. There is a lag when going back to the list after viewing an article in the in-app browser. I can consistently reproduce the issue, even after a complete uninstall and reinstall.

  88. Alycia Hinrichsen-avatar

    Alycia Hinrichsen

I love the flexibility of this app, but I'd like for it to have the ability to also import specific content from a list of senders in my email as well. Notes and highlighting are also great features to help me engage with the app and the content, and worth the pro investment

  89. Neo Spiker-avatar

Recent updates have made this app worse. Most times it doesn't load after starting phone and clicking on widget articles fails to take you to the full page. Hopefully these get fixed soon or I'll have to look for another app after so many years using feedly.

  90. Scott E-avatar

Excellent news aggregator. Can do light or dark mode and plenty of customizations and news options. Search is locked behind a paywall and feeds aren't always identifiable as text or video without going to the news website. Recommended.

  91. Edward Clark-avatar

Pretty good app when it doesn't freeze up. That's been happening a lot, recently. It freezes after schooling through stories after a few pages and/or if I go to another app and then come back

Its a really good app to keep track of my bookmarked bloggers update and to consolidate them. I would give it a 5 star if the widget can be improved - it stops working very often and can only be fixed when uninstall and reinstall

Frustratingly buggy. Randomly it'll freeze up and crash, sometimes after scrolling through my feed, other times after reading an article. It's a shame, this used to be my go-to news aggregator.

I used to rate this app 5 stars. Now it is completely unstable. It often crashes and there is no clear cause except that I use it too much reading stories. Fix this or I'll move on to something else.

$8 per month for pro? Y'all have lost your God damn minds!

Updated to the lastest version last night, but the sidebar now showing nothing... just white blank space. Edited: The sidebar showing blank because my android websystem view is outdated. Solved by upgrade it.

Takes way too long to add content. You never heard of check boxes? Update: When adding sources. Compared to Flipboard this takes hours to set up instead of minutes.

Cannot find a way to change feed update rate, which makes it worse than useless for my purposes.. EDIT. Thank you for the response. I uninstalled.

Try to add a fourth feed and all I get is an advert for Feedly Pro, which is massively overpriced. I'd be willing to pay £10 for a decent aggregator, $8 per month is ludicrous.
