Family Link parental controls is the companion app to Family Link for parents. Please only download this app to a device being used by a child or teen. Try the Family Link parental controls app from Google. Whether your children are adolescents or young adults, the Family Link app lets you set digital ground rules remotely from your own device to help guide them as they learn, play and explore online. For children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your country), Family Link also lets you create a Google Account for your child that's like your account, with access to most Google services. With Family Link parental controls, you can: Guide them towards appropriate content • View their app activity − Not all screen time is the same. Help your child make healthy decisions about what they decide to do on their Android device, with activity reports displaying how much time they're spending on their favourite apps. You can see daily, weekly or monthly reports. • Manage their apps − Handy notifications let you approve or block apps that your child wants to download from the Google Play Store. You can also manage in-app purchases and hide specific apps on their device all remotely from your own device. • Feed their curiosity – It can be hard to decipher which apps are right for your child, so Family Link shows you teacher-recommended apps on Android that you can add directly to their device. Keep an eye on screen time • Set limits − It's up to you to decide the right amount of screen time for your child. Family Link lets you set time limits and a bedtime for their supervised devices, so you can help them find a good balance. • Lock their device − Whether it's time to go and play outside, have dinner or just spend time together, you can remotely lock a supervised device whenever it's time to take a break. See where they are • It's helpful to be able to find your child when they're on the go. You can use Family Link to help locate them as long as they're carrying their Android device. Important information • Family Link's tools vary depending on your child's device. See a list of compatible devices at families.google.com/familylink/setup • While Family Link helps you manage your child's purchases and downloads from Google Play, they won't need approval to install app updates (including updates that expand permissions), apps that you have previously approved or apps that have been shared in Family Library. Parents should regularly review their child's installed apps and app permissions in Family Link. • You should carefully review the apps on your child's supervised device and disable those that you don't want them to use. Note that you may not be able to disable some pre-installed apps. • To see the location of your child or teenager's device, it must be powered on, recently active and connected to the Internet. • Teacher-recommended apps are only available on Android devices in the US and to parents of children of certain ages. • While Family Link provides tools to manage your child's online experience, it doesn't make the Internet safe. Instead, it is intended to give parents choices about how their children use the Internet and to encourage conversations about Internet use.

This app is horrible. It monitors my device all the time, which really isn't the problem, but it's the fact that my parents can lock anything they want. I plead them to let my device to be unlocked more often, but they get to lock apps, my phone, websites, and pretty much everything. I try telling them to not use Family Link, but they say I'm too young and they don't trust me? Seems nice to overprotective parents, but from the child's view, it really sucks. This app is uneccesary and useless..

This app sucks. Like really sucks. I had full time on my phone yesterday with a limit on texting (who knows why), but when I woke up the next day I had a one hour time limit and a bed time set during the day whenever I'm home (3pm-11pm) and the whole day on weekends and i frikin did nothing. Im also 16. Parents please don't torture your kids with this you'll have a much better relationship with them if you don't use it.

On a Samsung phone, Digital well-being should still be able to work while family link is installed. Also why can't you turn on and off location?! This is absolutely ridiculous! During the day, I want location off, because it eats up the battery, and when before drive I cannot turn it back on due to family link restrictions. This is literally insane and unsafe. Please fix ASAP. 🙏

I can see why this app was created. It is to monitor children's behavior on the internet. But the app is really horrible! It slows down my device. It makes me feel like I'm being controlled even though I shouldn't. It only has a bed time, and an OVERALL daily limit. When your limit is reached It says Time For a Break and you can't unlock the device until the next day. Also, when you use the device until the bed time and turn it on the next day It takes like 20 seconds for it to register its a ne

I dont like supervision apps like why would you put a tracker on a 15 year old boy(me) it limited my chrome time (you know what I mean) that's not the worst part is it randomly locks.also if you want to play on your phone past the limit turn your internet off and turn on airplane mode.(download a bunch of offline music, games and the naugthies your set for a while after that)also press the yes button on "was this review helpful" so people can see my knowledge

Lots of bugs and very restrictive and annoying. It says the device is offline when it isn't. I constantly refresh it but it displays incorrect information. You cannot uninstall it without deleting the google account you set it up with. I strongly recommend to not use this app.

The screen time and the phone lock, is not necessary. Parents should be able to trust there kids. Even the maps on the app they can see where they are like can a child/teen even have fun with this app? This can cause problems like when their friends dont have this app in which causes embarrassment. I think this app should be taken down. 👎

To be honest I don't like this app, this app is good for children who have a phone at 6-11,but at preteens and teens, that's just privacy invading in 3 months I'm about to turn 13 and I won't experience freedom and privacy, because in perents perspective we abuse it before, but that's before that was when we were kids,we screwed up when we were children some of us doesn't know what's right or wrong, and you perents decide to punish them by taking there freedom and privacy,1 star

Honestly, you must be pretty insecure to create an app like this. The app glitches all the time and never shows the location. You can only use apps for so long and your phone locks and unlocks at a certain time. Most of the time when my phone's locked, I can't call anyone. Not even the police. The app doesn't always show everything needed. If I could give it a zero, I would.

This is a horrible app... 1-No privacy at all, your parents can see EVERYTHING that you're doing. It doesnt even allow Incognito! 2-It gets really annoying when you're doing something important and your phone locks, and you can't text when the phone locks so in order to tell someone something you have to call them. 3-It doesn't let you change the time. If I'm in a different timezone I want to be able to change the time so I don't have to ask my parents about it. An annoying app overall..
