    The app will randomly select a date when you are booking a room if you are not careful you will book on the wrong date. Then expedia will lie to you and tell you the hotel won't refund you. When it's actually expedia that won't refund you. My stay was booked over a week out and they would not cancel or refund me. Had to cancel my credit card.

    Great for booking but you cannot use your airline credits. I can see the credits in my account but if I try to use them it tells me I cannot and to call an agent for help. When I call there is no answer just on automated hold for over an hr... still on automated hold... "my call is very important to them...". Ya... right...

    Awefull customer service. First I couldn't make changes to my reservation. I followed all the instructions and I would just get stuck in an endless loop. Then I tried the chat to get help. I tried for over two hours by chat and had no success. It turns out the app doesn't auto scroll when in chat. This led me to not see that I had connected with someone. By the time I discovered this, the chat had closed down for the day so I had to call. I have now been waiting 25 minutes and still no answer.

    Your site has to be the world's worst !!! Can't book a flight because I keep getting booted out of your several times. 7 to be exact. Also at point of paying for flight Iyour app disappears . And yet worst I tried calling your customer service number only to be given the run around and not having the option to speak to a live person to get some help. How are you still in business?

    Never book a flight through Expedia! I was totally ripped off! I had an option to change my flight or be reimbursed in November 2021, then when I was ready to rebook, they told me to deal directly with the airline. The airline denied any responsibility because I had booked through Expedia. After literally months of phone calls and emails and hours on the phone, EXPEDIA said they could do nothing for me. I lost $800I am deleting my accounts and apps and I will never be an Expedia customer again!

    They had trouble changing my reservation! I was charged twice for the same booking (more for the 2nd one that had to be changed)! And of course they'll take your money right away, but take 1 to 3 days to give you back the refund money with absolutely no way to even try to make anything better for being inconvenienced! This is the last time we will EVER use expedia! Horrible customer service!!!

    Initially had this as 5 star but my recent issues with expedia as a whole has me changing it to 1 star. Their customer service is terrible, you're able to schedule call back which they never call back. Or sit on hold for hours and never get on thr line with a person. I have covid canceled flights I wanted to use vouchers for, but it's not user friendly and they make it difficult to use them. Makes it seem like they just want your money more than anything else.

    Edit: In 2018, I used the application and it worked perfectly! Right now in 2021, I tried to use it and on three occasions, the application gave me an ERROR during the Bookings process, and they made me 3 unauthorized charges from Américan Airlines and 3 unauthorized charges from United Airlines. So I decided to buy the tickets directly through United Airlines and I had no problem. Total that I will never use Expedia again. Something that worked so well in 2018 is now useless!

    I booked a hotel on the beach . Expedia uses pictures of rooms that are ocean view. When I arrived at the hotel . They booked my room with the parking lot view. I requested a beach view. I was extremely disappointed! False advertising is the way, I see it! I will never, again use Expedia for Hotel booking!! The hotel couldn't change it, due to third party booking.

    Very poor customer service. Tried to make changes to my reservation after being on hold for OVER an hour, I was told to call the airlines. I called the airlines told me to call Expedia back. I've spent several days going back and forth between the two. I have a ticket I purchased that I cannot use and I can't get a credit on. Rating them a 1 is too high.

    DO NOT USE EXPEDIA! I been using their services for years with issues every trip. I just booked w them for the last time. They booked me through Spirit to then find out I have to pay seats separately which is pretty much the cost of a regular plane ticket. This is entrapment. Never again.

    I'll rate the app 1 star because of the delay in updating the hotel information. I booked a hotel that sold one year ago! That's so terrible! They'll charge your money immediately and don't guarantee your benefits, consider before using the app.

    I booked car in Tulum, Mexico. Money has been charged. There was no car available at the pick up time. I've been trying to get money back for more than 1 month. There is no communication from Expedia. I reached help center 4 times. (average waiting time is over 1h) Customer support/call center guys were not able to give me my case number. Supervisor promised to send me confirmation email on my case. I didn't received any. All experience has been extremely frustrating. I got booking confirmation from Expedia and money has been charged. I paid taxi to the Europcar office, spend several hours in the office trying to solve my case. Consequently I had to pay taxi back to my hotel. Taxi to the airport. It completely ruined our plans for the week. I don't understand what is going on with Expedia! I have sent Expedia email today as the last attempt to reach reconciliation before forwarding my case to Legal Protection insurance company.

    Can't find customer support, spent 3 hours trying to get chat to help. Spent 6 hours at the airport trying to call customer support when our flight time was changed, without notification to an earlier flight so we missed it. After being on hold for 2.25 hours got someone who told me they were working with the airline to fix, when they didn't call back I tried again. After 5 hours, I spoke with 3 different people who were going to help us, haven't heard from anyone. The worst EVER!

    Very bad experience with costumer service, they acting like they wanna help but in reality they're not.. I booked hotel standard room the price for one adult or two adult was same no difference when i came to the hotel they need 190$ extra , i text customer support they said they will call the hotel but after 2 min they come back and said you must pay or cancel the booking but not guaranty the refund...they help more the hotel to get extra money from me.. never use Expedia again...

    Your app always logs me out. I purchased the stay in hotel and it wasn't visible in the app. Add more options to your bot chat its HORRIBLE. Your customer service is the WORST IN ENTIRE WORLD, won't understand a word what they say, takes forever for them to give any solution AND REFUNDS IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET!!!! NEVER GET EXPEDIA INSURANCE, every car rental tells me they don't cover anything just a money waste, coz eventually you have to take rentals full insurance for your security.

    Done with this company, they are completely unethical and reaching them is virtually impossible. The app and site continously goes down when you're trying to book an itinerary, requiring you to wait 2-3 hours to talk to a representative, onky for them to tell you that they need an itinerary number to help you, despite the fact that the site has been unresponsive for weeks. You're better off just doing a bundle with the airline directly.

    They send you coupon codes but there's nowhere to enter it. It's like a scam to get you to go to the website or app and neither one has an area to enter the coupon code. So I went and double checked and when the help area and it said it should be where you put your credit card information. So after this I call and the number says they can't help me and hangs up on me with no other options. So I think I'm done with Expedia

    This is the worst app you can have. They trick you by saying that there are hotels available and then when you go to the hotel and try to check in they have no data of me getting a reservation. This was outrageous, all the hotels were booked and I had to sleep in my car because of this. I still haven't gotten my refund. In short words this app is a scam.

    My experience with expedia has been a nightmare. My flight was changed 3 time's. The final change they didn't even give me a connecting flight. Then once I finally was able to contact someone which took 6 hour's. They tell me it's a 6-8 week wait for money's to be returned. This company is so terrible.

I have a flight credit its my money and I have been trying to book a flight for 3 weeks now and your company has tried everything within your power to keep me from using it , from hanging up on me to telling me I had to pay an additional $472 along with my $311 credit its ridiculous and each of the fifty hundred times I called I had to hold 3 hours,as the price go up

Trying to change a booking and expedia are saying theres no booking when speaking to an 'online agent' (there is - even checked with the hotel but the hotel is being useless also with the change) the app/website is showing the booking but both are saying to contact the hotel to change the dates when contacting the hotel they are telling me to do it through expedia! Very confusing, very annoying, very unhelpful!

    Beware! Expedia let's the hotel charge your card whatever they want and no one can explain why. I agreed to pay deposit and the rest on hotel arrival. I was charged $76 more than the agreed deposit with no explanation why.

    Dates I booked, got changed to wrong dates, I wanted May 13th to May 16th in Miami, & Expedia app, gave me May 3rd, which is wrong. Then I tried to cancel online & app said not available now. Then next morning I after 2 hoursgot a call back by Expedia, & was disconnected 3 times, but the representative only called me back twice & when I tried to rebook dates wanted, rate was doubled, I never did get confirmation on the phone or an email May 3rd was cancelled, so Expedia service completely failed

    DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM!!! Go directly to hotel website. Booked room, card charged full price. Arrived and told no rooms available, contact expedia for refund. Called expedia after returning home, told the hotel did have rooms and does not authorize the refund. Your hard earned money can go down the drain if you happen to get a shady worker at hotel or shady agent at expedia. Either way until they figure out a streamlined process of ensuring customers aren't ripped off they WILL lose business!!

    Disqualification is based on one experience I get a ticket for my sister to fly from TJ to Michoacan Mexico and when my sister get there to check in the people from the airport told her that her ticket was sell it to a different person too.     Terrible app from a terrible company. Do not use. They dont do what they say and after rescheduling my flight they never sent me a comformation email. I cannot access my flight details in the app and waited over 3 hours on hold and didnt get anyone. Their chat sends you through loops then eventually says chat is not available. Expedia clearly doesn't value their customers; therefore, use a service from a company that does. Save yourself the hassle and frustration that I did.

    DON'T BUY PLANE TICKETS FROM HERE! WORST SERVICE EVER! I got a plane ticket from here and the airline canceled a flight due to covid. Calling xpedia won't help because they REFUSE TO TAKE MY CALL unless it's 10 days before the trip. I used the live chat box and the people there took 3 hours to get my info and then hung up on me. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD!

    Less then negative. I was on hold for 3 hours called back waited 2 hours agent finally picked up and got hung up on. Agent called me back and I got hung up again for the 3rd time. It's now going on 7 hours to try and find out what got changed about my trip

    Horrible. The app doesn't allow you to make any changes to your trip. Even the virtual chat doesn't work. I even went to the actual website. Still nothing. I had to call and a bot answers and repeats itself and doesn't allow you to select any options. I opted to talk to an actual representative but I have been on hold for over an hour. Thought it was just me so I decided to look at recent ratings and looks like alot of other people are having the same issues.

    Make sure when you make reservations all of your dates are right otherwise the app will screw you. Man i tried to make a reservation and didn't realize that the dates had some how been switched to a month away from the date i wanted and within 5 minutes was trying to contact support to deal with the mistake and couldn't get a real person on the phone let alone change the date or get a refund to rebook on the right day. They purposely make the dates not match the day you are booking.

    Ughh....Expedia is great to book through, but horrible to try & make changes via the app. Attempting to gain assistance through the online help chat only provided to be a lesson in frustration. The online chat took my booking information, then stated it could not answer me now, but hoped to see me back later. It's easier to check prices online, call the hotel, tell them the price you found online & they will book it for you. Any changes are only a phone call away. Easy Peasy.

And want you try to call the agent they never answered it's like 100x time difficult than you call the government.     Very poor. I tried booking a trip and it wouldn't allow me to book 2 adults. Secondly I booked a room through a computer and then I fly to the destination only to find out the hotel was closed (for over a year). When I called Expedia 4 times they said they would call me back to book another place to stay and no one ever called. I asked for a manager and they said she will call me back in 1-3 hours. Going on 5 hours now and no call back. They marked my call as urgent supposedly.

    I use this app all the time. We just booked a convention in Las Vegas and the hotel deals here were better than the convention deals, better than priceline or triago and super easy to book. I've had many instances where I had to cancel and reschedule and needed an agent. Sure, you have to wait sometimes, but the call back feature saves tons of time and works, and sure, some of the agents have challenged English, but if you take is slow and methodically it works fine.

    Change the format of your calendar and STOP automatically selecting dates! I've had the wrong dates pre-selected for me multiple times and the format not only makes it difficult to select the correct dates but it also doesn't highlight today's date when selecting future dates. It's a slick way to steal money but it's theft none the less.

    Several times our itinerary has changed without an email, text or the app showing the changes (we stumbled across them at check in time for the airline). If you pay for a specific date and time to fly from/to a destination at a bare minimum being informed of the change goes a long way with customer service

    They charged me to change the date accidently put the wrong date cuz it was already preset in the month was wrong. Then I stood at the hotel on hold for over an hour and 45 mins still hadn't changed the info so hotel couldn't sign me in to a room. It took almost 2in half hours of waiting n phone calls before I was able to get my room. It was so ridiculous I don't recommend this site at all.

    Never had as much problems using an app to book a flight and hotel as your app! None of your filters work. I spent literally 2 days just to try and find the flight and hotel to stay and when I tried to book it, I kept getting errors! Your Virtual agent also wasn't working properly! I then tried to call in to.book a New reservation and your automated system tells me your agents are not accepting New reservations by phone and that I would have to book online!!

    This app always books the wrong dates. It start off booking one or two weeks in advance when you go to book. So if you don't change the date you are booking in the future. With many hotels you can't change the reservation. Or get a refund. No other apps do this. They all start trying to book you whatever day your booking on. It's very frustrating. And often times it takes hours to get through customer service. Plus no stacked rewards or coupons or discounts for staying many times. Go2Priceline

    I just updated to the latest version of the app, and it's completely unusable. I have been asked 57 times in the last 5 minutes whether or not I'm a robot. I'm unable to book any trips nor review my existing itineraries because I can't get past this stupid screen. Making things worse, is this silly automated bot that you have to talk to you before you talk to a real person. This app has made me so annoyed in the last 30 min that I'm going to leave my gold status here for another travel company.

    This app sucks. This business sucks. Trying to get a hold of a representative I had over 3 hours of wait time before I hung up because no one answered. "App" told us flights couldn't be canceled and our money would be refunded and they ended up canceling our reservation and not giving us our return, they gave an airline credit thats in limbo that we can't even use and it's been 2 days and a total of 12 hours on hold and still haven't been able to get in contact with anyone. Hire more staff!!!

    Terrible Customer Service - nonexistent. Lost $175 due to a booking error on their part. Spent hours of my life on the phone attempting to get a customer service representative with no success. Don't do what I did - do yourself a favor and book your hotel another way. And if you do book with them, expect mediocre results and the potential of losing your hard earned cash. Oh yeah - The app is very slow and buggy, don't bother downloading it. There are far better apps out there - like hotwire

    Expedia gives the option to pay at the property, but each time, before arriving, unauthorized attempts to get funds from my card have been made. I received a charge of $84.05 at 3am, 12 hours prior of check-in. I called customer service about the funds taken, and the woman argued me down insisting that I was not charged. I was already at the hotel, and merely wanted to extend my stay. I paid twice for 1 day! Now I'm getting the run around from both parties! How do I resolve this theft issue?

    I have update my review of Expedia to 1 star. I've used Expedia exclusively for the past 8 years for all my travel plans. Today when I really needed it to come through I was let down.     I've used Expedia for 10 years now and I've never been more disappointed in a service. I purchased a flight in February of 2020 with a departure of December 2020. CoVid hit and everything was canceled. Expedia called me in September of 2020 to ask what I wanted. They let me know 8-12 weeks for processing because everyone is behind. 4 emails, 4 phone calls, 1 chat and 6 months later it is still the same "we cannot process until approved by the airline" every call. No customer loyalty at all.

    This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. I was overcharged for my seats on American Airlines and used the app to get support to have the charges corrected. The app has me call their support line, but they hang up on me because my travel is more than 72 hours away. There is absolutely no way for me to contact them to have my account credited for the overcharge. No matter what phone menu options I use, the system hangs up on me. Absolute worst company ever!

If you're going to use a website to plan a trip, DO NOT use Expedia. if anything goes wrong they make it super hard to talk to someone, and when you do get through to someone the person just cuts you off and nothing gets resolved. Went to stay at the MGM Grand Signature but as we arrived was told we needed to pay another $425 $300 for a deposit that could be refunded but the remaining $125 for other fees! WHAT FEES?! Which is absolutely ridiculous because we were already charged a ton of fees from expedia for the hotel! So were getting ripped off completely. I'm going to make sure everyone knows how bad you get ripped off. Some really needs to figure it out!

    Have used Expedia for several trips. Most of the time has been ok. Was just told a $450 credit I have from a flight canceled by the airline was expired. It is not expired, and still shows on my account. I have a family trip coming up I need a flight on, expedias chat bot and Customer service chat were incredibly slow and unhelpful. Customer service person disconnected while I was still talking to him asking questions. I want my $450 back! This is the last time I use expedia unless they fix this.

    I'm still waiting to here back from Expedia. I reserved a car a week and a half in advance, paid Expedia for insurance, and when I got to the car rental place they told me they don't have unlimited mileage for their cars, even though Expedia told me it was. So I ended up with no car plus I paid Expedia for insurance even though I never got the car. Overall my experience has been horrible.

    Expedia does not stand behind their customers, first I was double charges at the hotel because they couldn't see the payment. Second the car rental company(Thrifty) upcharged me 300 extra dollars after telling me that expedia insurance doesn't work, but also they quoted a cheaper price on their insurance. Expedia said well its your problem not ours. So don't use them....choose anyone else.

    We use Expedia every time we need to get away. I've never been disappointed. But, don't just always assume your getting the best price. Do your homework and have more spending money on vacation, by getting the best deal !!!
