    Still the worse app to buy flight tickets. Rip offs and they don't have customer services representatives they expect a talking computer will solve people's problems. Which is frustrating and shows they are fraudulent. I advice you that if you end up being a victim of this app go to your bank have someone from your personal bank dealt with this fraud.

    DO NOT BOOK TRAVEL WITH THIS APP!!! Due to covid19, we had flights booked. The airline canceled our flights but cannot refund us because we booked with Expedia. Expedia's call system will not allow us to speak to an agent and there is STILL no option on the app for a refund. We are trapped in an airport as they have our money and we cannot book another flight. UPDATE 8 May: After months of battling I was promised a refund. They are now reneging. Seeking legal advice. RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT!!!

    I can't get a straight answer to any of my inquiries. Online chat is not effective whatsoever! I don't know why they thought the their customer service app would be helpful. I'm so frustrated with Expedia's app AND their customer service in general. I had booked a trip to San Francisco (departure 5/30) for my daughter's birthday (her 1st time flying) on 3/2/2020, . I had to cancel due to covid-19 a couple of 3 weeks later because of the inevitable shelter in place. The app is convoluted at bes

    Both my hotel and airline cancelled on us due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Expedia were great. They managed to confirm that we would get a full refund from our hotel within 28 days and gave us the direct Virgin Atlantic email to request a refund. All now in hand. No real issues. ( And the call was answered within 8 minutes) Stewart C.

    Having to make multiple calls for a simple issue. Saying my refund is with the airline and not them. Unable to find a flight that shows on multiple other sources including the expedia app. Use skyscanner or the airlines themselves as it will save you a lot of heartache.

    Horrible app, airline brand logos have broken image paths, just tried to do a simple flight change, it charged my bank card and didn't update my flight or give me confirmation email. Spent near to 3 hrs on the phone with a representative and supervisor just to change my flight.

    Love this app even though you have to wait forever for points to be added , such in patients for pending points lolz. Fairly easy to use and you can save your fave or frequent destinations and hotels also can access itinerary almost whenever.

    Good luck trying to communicate with them. All it's good for is booking. That's where this app fails. They get your money and them they're done with you. Communication with the resort useless. Here's the kicker. The resort i booked is temporarily closed BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC. Please tell me why they're keeping 50% of my booking value? Im pretty sure I'm done with this company.

    Great to book and prices were better with Expedia than other apps more choices available. The only compliant would be the landing page was not user friendly since the covid19 warning could not be closed on screen to search hotels

    Very poor support. The airlines I booked with canceled the flight, and said that they will refund fares. after hours on the phone with Expedia, it is clear that I can't get the refund because I booked through Expedia, which is refusing the refund. This was the case for two different trips. I have been a customer for many years, in fact they call me a "gold" customer, but there was no support at all.

    I have been using Expedia for years but after their handling of the covid-19 cancellations I'm considering chosing a different booking site. My flight was cancelled and instead of being able to get a cash refund or a credit for the same airline (the latter of which was the airlines policy) I had to sit on the phone on hold for an entire day, I'm still on hold and the representative hung up unexpectedly and I haven't heard back making me think I'll be starting the whole process over again.

    Tried to cancel a trip in April. Expedia could not be reached, app only cancelled hotel and airfare home. I had to go back MANY tines to try to cancel airfare to the destination. Finally says it will be cancelled only to find out it never was and now Expedia doesn't want to make it right. Outright theft. I have proof that I made every effort to take care of the SIX WEEKS prior to the trip. I couldn't travel because the city I was going to was SHUT DOWN. Absolutely unacceptable.

    Expedia is a scam! They said I had a reservation booked when I didn't and charged me for a room I never had any intentions on renting because I was nowhere near the property on the date in question. I have contacted Expedia repeatedly as well as the hotel and they both refuse to help me, Expedia reps hung up on me 4 different times!!! Never using Expedia again

    Alaska Airlines one way 1 layover in Seattle. Missed connecting flight to Billings Montana. They never called for boarding. Than with plane still w/in feet and not moving towards tarmac wouldnt let us or didnt even help in trying to get plane to stop or offering a solution except to say another flight same time tmrw. Didn't have extra money for a hotel to stay in Seattle but found a way. Than to get out of town back to Vegas, had to pay an additional 236.00 Again with no extra money. Was not ๐Ÿ˜ก

    We've been using Expedia for years the app _ Expedia service is horrible. our trip was canceled due to the coronavirus lockdown in PA & medical facility closing down due. This is unusual circumstances. Expedia is not answering their phones or helping through the app. Once I finally got to speak w/ someone after 30 days, they told me I had to call the airline Direct to use my credit. When I call the airline they say I have to call Ex to get the credit they cannot see the fee. Still no answer

    Very frustrating. Chat with CS disappeared. Can't attach file to the chat. Copy paste doesn't work well. I was talking to a customer service and had to leave the chat to check confirmation number and my booking, but then the chat window just disappeared. I tried for the second time, apparently the CS couldn't read the previous conversation. So I had to copy paste the conversation, it looked bad on this app. I wanted to see my booking on this app, but then the chat window disappeared again.

    Terrible. Chat never available. Cancel feature broken. Called multiple times to hear a recording that the service was not available. When I finally got through, the agent uttered I was being unresponsive and quickly hung up while I was talking. She literally gave me 1 second to reply while on hold for over 2 hours. Now I'm stranded outside the country in this crisis because the airline canceled a flight and put me on a connection before the first flight. I'm not a time traveler. Thanks Expedia!

    I used to like the app because it was easy and convenient to keep an eye on flight changes. But now I can't even log in. I kept trying to log in but it keeps sending me back to the home page. I've tried closing the app and reinstalling it. Still the same problem. Then I just went to through the website and was able to log in without any issues. Still can't use the app to even put in my itinerary # that I received from their site.

    Worst airline booking app I have experienced. Understandably, there is high volume of people trying to cancel due to the outbreak. That being said, I have not been able to get ahold of anyone for weeks trying to cancel a flight and the first time I get through to the automated system I am unable to get through it to speak to a real person. They canceled my flight and since It is canceled I punch in my itinerary and they push me back to the main menu to get rid of me, horrible customer service.

    Well first of all, I'm not a difficult person to please, I appreciate the simple things in life, but the issue isn't with the app, it was the establishment that Expedia recommended with certain expectations that were not fulfilled, 1.when you walk into this room which cost 143.00 one night, the room hasn't been fully cleaned properly. 2. Cracked missing marble around a hot tub that don't work, holes in curtains no privacy by the way this is a king suit at super 8 Milford/new haven. Never again.

    They use bots to pass for agents. Even when you are answering, the "agent" closes your chat because you didn't answer or claims system issues and restart chat, doesn't matter you waited 1 hr to "talk to" an agent. Worst experience ever. Would give it a zero if possible. They got rid off the email option to contact them. Stayed over an hour at a time on the phone and they never pick up. They NEVER contact you back. Leaving notes in advance is useless, they never use them.

    When I entered my card information, they said it was wrong. I re entered my information about 5 times. Afterwards I checked my bank account to see what was wrong. Just to see that they took $1500, and I received nothing in return. Customer service is no help. I called about ten times just to be told my account doesn't exist. Worst travel app there is. Do not get it.

    The phone lines have been completely broken for over a week now and I was not able to change or cancel my flight to Barcelona from Montreal despite the EU shutting down borders, despite calling several times per day. The flight was cancelled by Swiss Air, only to be rebooked with Brussels, again despite EU border closures. That flight was then cancelled by Brussels with no communication from Expedia, who still allowed us to get through the check in process for my flight March 18th... Garbage.

    This app sucks, how did it get 4.5 stars? You will NOT GET ANY REFUND if you cancel a flight. You will only get CREDITS can only be redeemed by calling them. You cannot use your credits on the app!!! And they have some technical issues so you cannot call them to book a flight. So your refund money is gone. The app sucks.

    Horrible experience. Got double booked for the same hotel. Tried to cancel one and got the told to wait 24 hrs for a response from the offline team about if the manager of the hotel approved the cancelation. Called back, got the same answer, then waited 3 days just to be sure. No email recieved, called back got the same answer again to wait 24 hours for a response from the offline team. Seriously they've told me manager is out 4 times now both in the evening and the morning. Can't be that hard?

    This app is useless in trying to cancel a hotel booking when you pay Expedia directly. The site kept crashing when I tried to access the cancel the hotel link. It kept telling me the site didn't exist. Trying to phone Expedia was useless. My advice to anyone at the present time. Don't prepay.

    Will not connect even though every other app is online and running. It appears to be impossible to use Expedia while travelling with a tablet and phone if using a VPN. Not a particularly good business plan on their part since the VPN is your only security while travelling. Not going to turn off my VPN and then enter credit info so I guess no business for Expedia.

    Nothing works. Ok understandable at the moment, but phones not working, the chat function doesn't work offers a callback but that doesn't happen. For the time being it clearly can't cope. Hopefully back to normal soon Worse still my airline shows my flight cancelled but not showing on Expedia app which also has out of date cancellation/amendment charges. No communication I wouldn't have known about the cancellation if I depended on this app. In this crisis the app is unreliable.

I get that it might take thirty days but nobody will even tell me it's on its way? Update: no refund, no travel voucher, 30 days later.     Horrible service! The app nor Expedia care about their customer base. The functionality of the app does not work. I have been trying to cancel a flight for over a week with no success. And not one representative from expedia is available to respond to a chat from the app. Extremely disappointed and will never do business with Expedia again!

    App doesn't have contact number to call expedia from outside of canada. When you push "call expedia" the 1.855 number automated voice says "number is incorrect" ... also, Expedia doesn't list right information of extra fees on many many properties, and also rent a car. Expedia leaves customers at the mercy of the vendors. To avoid this, book resorts with included direct transportation instead of rent a car.

    So the app is useful. I hate to admit that I've actually planned a number of using this app on my phone. You're able to cancel trips also. The reason why I don't give it five stars, and this may be more in Expedia issue...but you can put in the dates and it will tell you the cost of a room for specific property...but when you click on that actual property the rate is different. This really bothers me but the app in general is useful.

    The booking is easy and nice, but I've noticed everytime I book a room. A standard non smoking room, the app books a smoking wheelchair room via the hotels website ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ at 1st we thought it was a fluke. Nope every single room we book, standard and the site books wheelchair for the hotel. Yall need to fix this, it's super annoying! And this is with 4 hotels in 4 different states and 4 different companies.

    Just a suggestion not to book through expedia, use it as reference then book direct. I've recently booked flights through expedia, virgin being the airline. I contacted virgin to change a flight but couldn't be done due to expedia being the admin. Flight can't be changed through the app only via phone, I've called multiple times leading up to my flight. 5hrs in total trying to get through a consultant and still no one. Wont be using expedia again!!!!!!

    Before, the current pandemic situation, Expedia's customer service level declined over the 7 yrs I've used them. The app has served little value, and virtually none right now. Moreover, I cancelled my flight directly w/ Delta and if flight insurance Expedia arranged works or not...I'm done and blocking future Expedia communications. Simply a waste of valuable time, w/ no service, DONE! If fact, my brother beats Expedia prices managing his own travel bookings. ๐Ÿ˜

    Putting this as 1 star in the hope that I can get some traction on my case by expedia. The app by itself is fine but I'd highly suggest not booking your flights via expedia. They have horrible customer service. If anything changes in your fligjt, they don't notify you. You can't even get on a call with customer care.

    Not Impressed with this app. I would expect more from Expedia when it comes to helping their customers during diar times like these. Also I didn't realize that insurance was not actually insurance. It's a RIP off is what it is and you won't be refunded your money if you nee to cancel a flight.

    This travel agency is a nightmare. Five days since i have been trying to reach them. No answer. The airline had cancelled my flight. I was told that i will get a refund. Expedia rebooked my flight then issued a new locator number. I called the airline to verify the new flight. I was told that the new locator could not be found. I don't know what they are doing. I tried to use their app to cancel, they wouldn't let me.

    Due to the many changes of our flight to Denver from Atlanta you kept up with it but on the flight from Denver to Atlanta you folks really dropped the ball and did not give me the updates like you should have I had to go to the United direct which is the airline that Expedia book in order to get my boarding pass for both my wife and myself. Overall you guys tanked!!

    Pathetic. Less than useless, just like Expedia....tried so many times to cancel due to Foreign office advice right up to and beyond the date of travel. Expedia just put you in an endless loop with no option to cancel...without speaking to an agent...which is impossible. So I will never use them again... Book direct with airlines and hotels....at least you can contact them in a crisis...Can't even try to claim on my insurance until I've contacted this bunch of clowns...WHICH I CAN'T...

    The chat service is just Bot and would not understand. Customer service want pick the phone if you are not travelling within week. You cannot contact by email. Overall rubbish customer service and rubbish app as it gives useless information. I would have given them negative star if there was one!

    Reading reviews our experience is typical. This app focusses on selling packages and extras. Information around these is very comprehensive. It is singularly useless for getting cancellations, refunds etc. Our flights booked through Expedia to Italy 11 March were cancelled by the carrier. We have tried repeatedly via the app to get details of refund etc. The electronic assistant goes in never ending circles. No information in the booking history. About as useless as they come - bloatware!

    It's helpful to pay a couple bucks less but there should be more value in the point system. like 1,200 points for staying 9 days should cover a whole night or more not just $10. noone should have to pay full price for few hours of a room when you roll on at midnight from long travels and only get room till 11am. it should be 50% off. rewards points for a week should automatically earn a free night.

    Confusing. Can't make baggage selections, once flights were picked went right to check out with no way to save it and to keep checking prices. Doesn't show the airline symbol after flights are chosen so no way to double check. Confusing setup

    Not a happy wedding guest. This app was great until the last update. Now it won't even let me in. It keeps telling me that it's verifying that I'm not a robot... WTH... I can't check my itinerary or find the information regarding the hotel we're supposed to be staying at. I will never you Expedia again.

    I have called expedia 5 times this week and held for 5 hours and disconnected multiple times. Only to be told that I can't change my room to a higher category even though it's price is lower than the one I booked. They cited a non transferrable rate code. I will never use expedia again. Cannot trust them to represent the traveler the way a real travel agent would. Not worth the hassle.

    Using the chat now feature is horrible. The live agent does not inform you when they terminate the conversation and then a new agent proceeds to initiate the inquiry from the beginning. I was on one call for two hours, never getting the problem resolved.

You call, they say go to the app, you go to the app, they say give us a call. And if you DO end up talking to anyone who most likely cant even help you, its after minutes of a verbal maze you have to walk through on the phone with the automated message. Terrible service i dont understand how on earth people have rated this a 4.5 average.

    One of my flights were cancelled days prior to the flight. morning before the flight, Google assistant notified me that a flight I was on, cancelled. tried changing the flight , lead to believe we wouldn't be charged. found one for a little more, assuming only had to pay the difference was charged full price. No solution, called for hours, ended up getting the airline to honor credit no thanks to Expedia failed to contact me until 6 hours before my flight was scheduled. Lost a customer in me.

    The app itself is fine. Expedia in general are con-artists. They will swindle every penny they can from you. I have been a valued customer for over four years and when I got into a bind and needed their help, they dismissed my situation and washed their hands of any wrong doing. It's a shame companies like this exist. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

    Adjust tried to book a hotel. I looked at three different hotels on Expedia it was anywhere between 30 to $65 more per night for the stay motels if I went straight to the hotel directly. I tried to call customer service at Expedia and I was on hold for over 30 minutes and they never picked up. I was trying to find they have senior discounts on any of the hotels which I was unable to find. Apparently Expedia doesn't offer senior discount. Still on hold uninstall the app not worth it

    My trip had to be canceled due to the coronavirus and no customer service representative has been available for 24 hours. The lines disconnect when you call. The chat option will not allow you to connect with a representative at all to discuss issues. Very poor customer service to an already stressful situation. I verified with the hotel expedia was never charged by my hotel and the website tells me no refund is/will be available to me. I will never book though this company again.

I couldn't manage to change nor cancel my flighta from the app not I could get anyone in the call with Expedia after hours and hours of waiting in the call. I regret using Expedia. And will never use it. I lost my money in the flight my family still stuck in Japan. I can't explain my frustration. I pray this recession to be end Expedia.

    Its useless, I've been trying to get a response from Expedia for a wk now,I was supposed to fly on Sunday the 15th with my son from Dublin to Heathrow and Heathrow to New York JFK, we were told by American consulate only essential travel was allowed to the states.     Useless, have spent a week trying to get thru on phone from UK to try to cancel flights and seek either refund of credit note given coronavirus. Online unable to reach any agent and app unable to allow any way to email or contact. Just spent 7 days in a loop getting no where. Flight leaves in 4am UK time tomorrow and cannot let anyone know we wont be there !!!

I'm disgusted and disappointed with Expedia and I used to make most of my bookings through here. I am definitely done with Expedia, you are better off booking with travel agents that actually care about their customers. EDIT: Expedia does not let you publish 1 star reviews, tried several times within the past few days. What a rigged review system.

    frustrating to use, I used expedia to book a part of a multi city trip to Europe, (my first time to Europe and using expedia) for a wedding, but with all this covid 19, the wedding has been cancelled and they do not have a new date yet... I am trying to navigate the app to cancel trips online and nothing is working!! and more frustrating is the fact that when I call them, I get hung up on, and there is no email contact anywhere on this app!!!

    App is horrible can't locate trips that are saved not even by the itinerary number they supply. The app itself is choppy and only works when it wants to. Fill in field blocks do not bring up keyboard when prompted. All in all wost set up I've ever used. I stick to the email notifications.

    Customer service sucks never available when you need them "experiancing technical difficulties 24/7" has you call them to make changes only to NOT ANSWER the chat function never works EVER. Never using them to again ever i hope they go out of business. You would think given how many people are effected by this damn virus they would be all hands on deck to help people GET HOME by setting their hours to 24/7 for the remainder of the month and notify people when they go back to normal times.

    Feel like I'm getting the best fares & rates. Have had occasions where rates change, usually up, in the process of making a reservation, which is extremely frustrating, & I have heard, & it seems accurate, that Expedia may raise rates on fares a person checks frequently (based on the profile in their database). I hope that's not true. Overall though, I continue to use Expedia for all my travel plans. Oh, & I'm not 100% confident Expedia tracks my cumulative air and hotel data accurately.

    I booked the hotel in the parking lot of the hotel thinking I was beating the odds for the best price. When I walked into the hotel, they told us the walk in rate was $15 per night less. Always call the hotel before booking here to see if you are indeed getting the best rate.

    Recieved an email that my flight was cancelled and I was eligible for an immediate refund. To recieve the refund, I was told to download the app or call. I have been on the phone for 45 minutes. The app has no options for refunds, just cancelling flights (for which i will be charged). Garbage app. Zero customer support. Never again.

    Less functionality to filter than the mobile website. The mobile website is slower, bit this application has less options. It will be better to focus on making the website faster in stead of spreading your attention and delivering two products which are average at best from a technical standpoint

    When i needed to change travel details (due to CV 19 issues) the app was unable to access my itinerary for the better part of a day to allow me to make the necessary changes. This resulted in my having to pay a penalty for cancelling my hotel reservation on less than 24 hours.

    Terrible. Keeps redirecting me to the website. I do not recommend the app, nor do I recommend expedia. I've been trying to reach a human for 3 weeks. Have been hung up on by the automated system multiple times, sometimes after being on hold for longer than an hour and a half. Trying to find out where my refund is at.

    TERRIBLE! Customer Service is beyond terrible. I always have to wait for at least an hour for my call to be answered. One travel specialist is not that detailed oriented, i asked her to copy my email since this was a booking made by a family friend who is not well adept with the app and all the hassle just to get our booking moved due to COVID-19, she ended up not copying me and I ended up responding late. I am beyond disappointed. This is so frustrating

    Worst APP you could ever use when you book a trip dont worry about getting the cancelation protection it is just away for them to still more money from you if you need to cancel for any reason. Redhead it before you do it it says non refundable. Even with covid 19 going on right now they dont care. Only care about how to keep your money no matter what this company is a scam and thefts. Be careful using this APP fair warning.
