The Envision app is definately by far the best app for the blind and visually impaired on the market today. It far surpasses all of the other apps for android due to the fact that it is so easy to use, and gives you auditory guidance when lining up the text for reading and so on. As a user of the app myself, I have come to realize just how useful it can really be in so many situations. At the time of this writing, I am on the free trial version of the app, but I can definitely tell you that this app will bring a level of independence that no other app on the market can bring you. For one thing, the accuracy of the scanning of the text is far superior than any other app. The folks at Envision have really thought of everything! Being blind or visually impaired doesn't have to be a prison any longer. Technology has come to the rescue with Envision, a brand new innovation in wearable and handheld technology that uses artificial intelligence to help the blind and visually impaired to navigate in a sighted world. Now for the first time in history, artificial intelligence is able to help the blind and visually impaired get more information from a sighted world by implementing the reading of text based information in real time, or by taking photos and relaying the information through optical character recognition technology that is second to none in the industry. Not only this, but Envision technology can do so much more. You can use it to describe your surroundings, tell you what color something is, identify faces and even read bar codes and identify certain objects. This means that Envision AI technology can actually learn thus making it the one and only technology for the blind and visually impaired that is fully customizable for each person's individual needs. The app is okay however if you ever try to cancel the service you may have issues. I keep being charged for both a yearly and monthly subscription in spite of canceling them both and requesting a phone call where I explained the issue and was told that I would be refunded and no further charges would be attempted. Another charge was attempted so I'm attempting to reach back out to get this resolved.

I will hopefully change this soon. But I just downloaded it and before I even got to touch the screen I got hit with 7 notifications, before I could block them. 5 of them stated that I have had the app for the full trial period already. I am not reopening it till I see a response from you. Because this is a big red flag, and I won't have my aid with me all the time.

I was recommended this app and was told it was a free app by a perfections person. I did not know it was a free trial until after I had downloaded it. I tried finding a number to cancel the trial and could not find one. I did request a call me, but have yet to hear from anyone. Id like to cancel asap. Thank you

I just tried it today after it updated. I couldn't get it to scan anything when I had Wi-Fi and Network turned off. The App wants an internet connection. So does it work offline? To me the answer is NO. I tried the continues scan and document one. Neither one worked. Tried Hand written for grins. Again no GO. Turned Wi-Fi on so see if I could get it to read US money. Again no go. Didn't have any luck before the update on US money either.

This app is so awesome! As someone who is completely blind this is such an easy app to use. Works very fast, pretty accurate and offers a variety of tasks for the blind / vision impaired. I'm still learning the ropes but so far very useful. One suggestion would be to add currency ID to let you know its denomination and orientation of the bill (facing up / down back / front of bill)

why should I pay for this? It can't read digital displays. It can't read food labels. it's scene description is somewhat accurate at best. I can read documents with an OCR scanner. seriously, what makes you think that this is worth $200?being free or ad-supported, this is a nice little extra tool to have. but you really didn't make it that clear that this would cost money once the beta ended. now that the beta is over it's hard to justify paying for this. it's nice but it needs a lot of work

The color detection is completely inaccurate, the scene detection could scare someone with often saying that there is a person/child there when there isn't, only the text recognition might be helpful for a visually impaired person. Another over priced technology for visually impaired people that claims a lot, but doesn't have much functionality. There are other Free apos that do these things better.They also have a pair of glasses that cost over 2k more than the tech they run off of.

Great! It can read my Yu-Gi-Oh cards inside the playing sleeves. Would've been 5 stars but as of Dec. 3rd it doesn't convert gallary files to text. I'm sitting at 4.5 stars since the color detector was added & I'll update my review once I've had a few days with the Dec. 4th update.

After installing last update envision is not working in Samsung J2 (Android version 5). When I have tried to open any PDF document it has said, unsupported file but the same file is opened by other mobile of Android version 10. Please fix it as soon as possible already some days have gone!
