The charts for my area appear to be very good, but downloading them took almost 24 hours on a good internet connection. The dependence on mobile data for features like AIS is a huge issue. In my area, for example, there is little or no AIS internet connectivity, so relying on mobile data and internet for AIS is a serious problem, and mobile data offshore for me is spotty at best. Your competitors provide a relatively simple means of bringing AIS, depth and position data into their apps via wifi, but clearly this hasn't been a priority for you. Your reliance on the use of tablet internal GPS instead of ship's GPS could be viewed by some as downright dangerous. If you want this app to be considered a serious navigation tool you need to make is usable for a boat that is disconnected from the Internet.

This app is useless for offline work. Map downloads are waaaayyyyyy too slow. Have tried twice now (including recommended uninstall/reinstall). Didn’t help. Trying to get three maps downloaded, left running for days. Only one made it to double-digit percentage completed. Ridiculous. Another issue. The maps don't display the names of the island countries. It only shows city names on the island. Doesn't matter how much you drill down you never see the name of the island country.

Great app but AIS has little coverage in the United States. AIS doesn't work on the Hudson River. And they really should tell potential buyers that up front. The AIS coverage is severely limited in many locations. Hopefully they will fix that because everything else is pretty good.

If you purchase this product, the maps will change, and start showing jagged lines instead of actual curves. I suspect that the downloadable maps are broken. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS APP or it will break.

Cmap is a good basic charting program. My one star is because after getting paid thru Tmobile , 22.00 for the premium, it has never been activated. And there has been no response to emails. Feeling ripped off.

Good charts with water bodies and passages labeled well, but doesn't show the island names (at least in puget sound) which makes it difficult to navigate

It won't load map details outside my current area. And I can't find a way to download more areas

this app was fantastic when I first began using it a year ago. Had very detailed contours, accurate depths and accurate location of structure. For some reason as soon a I paid for a subscription the maps detail turned into 3rd grade drawings. I've switched to Navionics app which has the kind of detail and functionality that C-Map used to have. I don't recommend C-Map at all.

One small issue that drives me bonkers. When using landscape orientation with top of phone to the right hand side, the re-center button does not work. Flip phone the other way so top of phone is on the left and it's fine. This is a small issue I've learned to get around but quite annoying. Other than that, this app is gold!
