My family and I have been using Elfster for a few years now and we love it! Everyone gets exactly what they want in their size and color. We have a price limit on presents so we put things up that are worth up to a certain dollar amount, if we put up cheaper stuff too we might get two presents from someone! The app has a simple layout and is easy to use. Once something on my list is marked as bought, I can't see that it's bought so what I get is always a surprise!

*update* the invite links not working is related to opening the link in Safari. Other browsers work. Invite link doesn't work. I send the link. They see the exchange homepage, but after prompts to join, they get sent to a blank page. As others have noted, wishlists have problems. I have 1 list with 2 items, but when I click on it, there are no wishlists and asks to create one. Restarting the app didn't help, but after a forced stop from my phone settings, the wishlists finally appeared.

We are using it for a small group, 6 people. Works well. I would rate higher but the name drawing algorithm is a tad glitchy. When a redraw has to occur, it seemed to assign the exact same names at least 3 times in a row before the name changed. My favorite is the wish list. I love the choice of vendors a d categories are so helpful, the best? I can add a like to an item from a site that maybe isn't part of elfster!

App looks good. Needs ability to arrange Wishlist in any order. Has a "Most Wanted" slider, you can kinda use this to rearrange the list by editing each item, but that's a clunky way. Haven't tested a gift exchange or anything else yet. Will update if I do. Evaluating this for family and work, separately.

When the app works, it is great. However, it routinely quits registering 2 of my 3 wishlists. If I log into the website it shows all three just fine. The only way to get it to show again is to uninstall and reinstall the app. That is getting quite irritating. Next time it quits registering, I'll delete the app altogether and quit wasting my time.

Great app for secret Santa. Been using it for a few yrs now for family secret Santa. My 10 yr old nephew and 7 yr old niece have their own wishlists and that is super helpful, don't have to worry about having 3 Christmas list and making sure you have them when you go shopping.

My family is using this app for Christmas. I sent the link in a group message. Using the link to find the wish list is a little challenging. I don't see an option to download the app when using the link. It is a great free app! The older people in my family are having a little trouble navigating it.

It's not accurate app. Some people are assigned multiple elfs while others aren't assigned to anyone and end up feeling left out and abandoned. Organize your own gift exchange don't rely on this app.

When it works it's great but I have not been able to add to my list, it just shuts down. I have been unable to see my wishlist and the wishlist of the person I am to buy for. I had to use my computer to see everything.

I'm in a fb group and they do an exchange every year. I joined last year and was very happy with my experience. Now, I find out myself and others have been added without joining this years exchange. I have no problem being part of the exchange, though I didn't want to, but I imagine there will be people who don't receive presents because people either don't know they've been added or they didn't have funds to spare this year. I will definitely have to delete my account after this year's exchange
