Another classic pay to win. Standard set up, game lures in you are it was genuinely fun then when you get to a higher level all of a sudden your characters are weak and you cannot progress any further. You can always buy equipment and characters though, exactly what the developers want. So frustrating that all these types of games are pay to win. Id rather pay £20 for the game and everything be realistically available. At least the game would be fun which is what all games should be. FUN.

Heavy pay to win game. Bigger your wallet further you will go. I play it since release and it seems to get deeper into your wallet every year. If you are a star wars fan, and you have nothing better to do with your money - this game is for you. Other then thats its playable. It has multiple game modes including PvP (both space and ground units), it does have raids which you can at with your guild in other to get some rare items or character tokens and much more.

  3. Jeb Doon-avatar

Love the game! My brother and I have been playing this since it was started. However, sometimes lately I find myself bored with it because once you get to a certain level, all you can do is grind towards a very specific set of characters if you want to be the best in your rank. Also, there's a lot of things that EA wants us to pay for and there are some obvious marketing moves designed to get players to spend money. I don't mind dropping some cash here and there, but sometimes too much.

  4. David Lynn-avatar

Great game! It's not pay to play, but it does take some time to move up the chain. They have definitely helped with adding simulation to most of the battles once your ability to beat them with 3 stars (becomes too time consuming otherwise). Would like to see the shop Bronzium data card with a max buy to eliminate time consuming button pushing. Some of the materials needed to progress take a lot of "gear grinding", and can take weeks, if not months to gather. All in all, a great game!

  5. Shiny Espeon-avatar

As a person who has played numerous games, I can say that many people think this is a plan to win game. However, I am max level havent spent a penny on it. Sure, I would LOVE more equality between people who play the game without paying and those who pay, but overall I still love the game. The hyperdrive bundle is what is taking away a star, you shouldnt have to pay to become max level with most of the characters, it takes away from the point of the game called 'patience'.

  6. Zheran Saji-avatar

I'm not trying to be negative because I really like this game, but are the developers of this game aware that the Galactic Wars are so far from being fun. I get really frustrated & often take out my frustration on the screen of my device with fists. It's to unbalanced to enjoy. Please reduce the difficulty. I'm not having fun. Should I just unistall & save my money $$$??? I'll change my rating depending on response here.

I have played this game nearly since release. the longest run I've ever had on a single mobile game. Obviously I have enjoyed the game to play for years, but during that time I have become so disgusted with Capital Games and their greed. Do not mistake this for a free game. They have charged players hundreds of dollars to unlock new characters and for the game to remain enjoyable. The only advice you need on SWGOH is straight from Star Wars..."live free, don't join." Update: May 2020. One year after giving my 1 star review I felt compelled to update it. This game is dead. Capital Games released two "Galactic Legends" characters (Rey and Kylo) that are so far removed from the vast majority of players. My GP is 5.4 million and I likely won't unlock either of these characters for at least a year. This "content" release was targeted solely at people willing to pay thousands of dollars to unlock them. It is criminal to expect players pay those amounts to keep a mobile game enjoyable. And in order to unlock them, you have to upgrade characters that are completely useless to the game. My favorite game mode is Territory Battles. In the newest version of it, they have cranked the difficulty so high that even teams that are fully maxed out (Relic 7) can't beat one or two phases. Again, they have stolen our ability to enjoy the game as a way to make money. Their whole business model is create a problem, sell you the solution. Lastly, there is essentially no new content in this game in the last year. While they planned on introducing a new raid, they cancelled it because their Galactic Legends characters broke the raid before it was even released. This game is the textbook definition of a cash cow and it will be until it dies. Then what will the characters you've spent thousands of dollars on be worth?

  8. Jacob Loveland-avatar

Fun game but there needs to be serious quality of life changes. The biggest reason for my 1 Star review is the poor customer service. I started playing this game on an old phone. It made me underaged so I didn't have a lot of features that other people had, like chat, changing your name, and connecting to social media. I was unable to link my game with Google play. When I got my new phone, I had to start over again. I lost everything. I contacted customer service about 6 times with 0 help.

  9. Dark Knight-avatar

This game misses voice acting for characters, I think that would be really cool, you have ton of good quotes for them from the movies and series. I'd like it if you could consider maybe adding that. And a slider for opening multiple packs from the store with alliance currency (those silver coins you earn when fighting). Good game all in all.

  10. justajoke-avatar

This game is fun, really it is, but it gets ridiculous whem yoir grinding for characters, especially the ones who can only be bought in shops, since they limit you to a certain amount per day, and the only way to skip the time is with shards, which are hard to get, but have a lot of microtransactions based around shards in the store

  11. Drew Whiting-avatar

I love the game don't know how long I've been playing it but I love it. My only problem is the Bronzium Data Cards. It get very tedious and time consuming when you have to sit there and press buy and skip. Can you guys add in a BULK BUY so we don't sit there for 5 to 10 minutes pressing buy and skip? Apart from that good game absolutely enjoy currently lvl 70 right now.

  12. Eeshwar Grewal-avatar

To begin with it is a game you can play and have fun for a time. But ("everything before the but is...") the game is setup in such a manner you can mever do what you want to unless you are ready to loose and come in last everywhere you earn in game currency. the game only wants you to spend more and more money not a dollar here and there they want 5-10000 dollars just to get you started( you read that right) Its best for anyone to avoid this game and play any of the other plethora out here.

  13. You Boi-avatar

The game is for a very specific group of people, but for those that do like its design, it is a very fun game. There is lots of grinding and getting good takes alot of time. My only grudges with this game is its pay to win feel. Sure it is free to play, but to get far in the game you have to buy stuff. The only other issues are the developers not listening to what the players want, and the art work being lackluster.

  14. Cody b-avatar

Update: after having played this for a few months, I've decided to downgrade from five to four stars. There is plenty of content in the game, but it takes A LOT of patience to earn and build characters. Microtransactions saturate this game, and they are hugely not worth their price tags. Probably the most frustrating thing for me at the moment is the drastic difficulty increase you hit when unlocking fleet battles. I regularly ask myself, how tf do these point values actually mean anything?

  15. seth brandt-avatar

As a player since late 2017 I can say that you should not start playing this game. There is a lack of new content, the developers keep cancelling things that have been promised for ages, and they just finished the worst event in the history of mobile gaming. They either don't know what they are doing or don't care. It's a billion dollar game and they claim new content costs too much to do. Play a different hero collector. This one is not worth your time or money even if you love star wars.

  16. W. Ryan Reed-avatar

Unless you're planning on being a whale, don't spend any money on this game. I bought into the Mandalorian, and then paid a bit a couple times for shards for the character cards. "Possible shard drops include: 5, 7, 10, 12, 15 ,20, 25, 50, 80, 145, 230, 330" Don't kid yourself. All my summons were 5 and 7 shards. Waste of money compared to F2P

  17. Bobby McCanne-avatar

Each update makes this less and less of a game. The developers are at best lazy, and are probably outright incompetent. The app is buggy and unresponsive, and there's no content to speak of at this point. Really the only draw seems to be Star Wars, which just isn't impressive. Play Marvel Heroes instead.

  18. Justin G-avatar

Galaxy of Heroes is a mostly free game but be warned there can be optional microtransactions and in app purchases. This game is a free to play and can be a time killer which makes it, in my opinion, a great game. As a person who has had this game for about 1-2 years, I can say that it doesn't get old as this game has more than enough content for you to obtain. If I'd criticize this game on anything, it would be the microtransactions and optional purchases.

Pay to win with no update in gameplay or graphism or game mode. It doesn't even follow the story line of star wars : you need the ebon hawk (old republic) to unlock radius (resistance in last trilogy...) Only new char with hundred of dollars to spend if you want to get it but no new game mode, nothing new to do for so many months now.. Ea is gonna loose the licence for star wars soon, so they just want to get all dollars they can before it happens...

  20. Earth Drop420-avatar

LVL60 Player: Decent game, but there's a HUGE advantage for the players with real-life money, don't expect to be a real contender in Squad Battles, that's for people who can afford to spend £££s on a mobile game. Micro-transactions are the cancer of the games industry, this game, and EA especially, is the equivalent of smoking a thousand cigarettes a day. They don't care about games, they just want to bleed you dry. £99 packs? Sickening.

  21. Darth Villain-avatar

Just a cash grab game.. been playing for over 5 years and game has gotten silly. Can lose 10 times when u get the guy to 1 hit left then to full because his buddy hits you... everyone heals to full.. I guess the doctors have got it wrong.. to heal u have to shoot the guy in the face... seriously how do u heal buy attacking. Of course you can fix all that buy spending over $300 per character to get 1 character that will do the same to others... $150.00 packs.... what's happends to buy a game$35.

It's a fun game.. IF you have money. If not this is definitely not the game for you. Usually in pay to win games people who are free to play CAN have some shot of staying competitive and enjoying the game at their own pace. In Star Wars galaxy of heroes however, you cant even properly play all the aspects of the game like events, grand arena, raids and so on because it's only meant for players who've already invested either years or money.

  23. Robert Yau-avatar

This game WAS good, but it's definitely fallen behind its competitors. The content they've released over the past year have been pretty lazy. Recently they released this big "Galactic Legends" event, made a big deal out of it, promising cinematic moments from the new sequel. Turned out to be garbage. It took them half a year to release this content. And they put it ALL behind a massive paywall. Never have there been such a tone deaf team of creators.

  24. Bmore Xentrick-avatar

Very difficult to progress especially for newer players. Requires a major financial investment to progress even at a slow rate. No new content has been added in the time I have been playing. They just reskin stuff, and push it back out. I enjoy unlocking new characters and different teams but the truth is you just can't afford to level them quick enough to where they are even fun to use.

I love the game, it's very well made. The only thing I can't stand is its pay to win and while I don't mind micro transactions nobody wants to spend $100 at a time on a free mobile game. Would be my top mobile game if EA were more player friendly and less RIP-off greedy. Hopefully they'll decide their customers are important one day and go back to the way they used to be because they really are talented developers.

  26. Max-avatar

Really fun game. Lots of grinding though. Do not fall victim to the $100 package to jump up to lvl 85. It really isn't any easier. I had 2 cousins do it. Grind. Main complaint is the amount of energies you have for everything and it taking so long to reload. Overall I enjoy the game.

  27. justice punter-avatar

Good game with lots of content, but pay to win. And devs are stating suck. They don't listen to the players and are only focused on how much money the game can make. And I don't like how they come out with new characters. The new character always has to be broken op. Why can't they be good enough to beat some teams but can be beaten by other teams. Additionally the dollar to value cost is preposterous I don't mind spending a bit of money on a game. To unlock a character can be $400+.

  28. Alex Zouz-avatar

Very fun, good aspects of the game. Lots of hours spendable playing this game, with lots to do (leveling and endgame) BUUUT!! Be prepared to be frustrated (Often!!) Game favours unfair matchups vs. AI (old system no doubt) with horrible RNG luck & loot system. Kinda forces lots of hours of gameplay, in a sense. Mixed feelings about the gameplay, but definitely worth a play

It is a great tactical game when you first see all of the characters. It isn't pay-to-win, it's pay-to-get ahead. I have played for about 4 months with no purchases, there have been 5 added characters so far, some balance changes, and the progression system is not bad at all. There are teams that are "OP" but most can be countered with a different team. Overall a great game with your favorite Star Wars characters from the entire universe.

  30. J Saintos-avatar

Maybe I was a bit harsh in my first review. Game is fun and addicting. Can't lie. Graphics cool for mobile game. Wish there was more to do. When out of energy you have to wait a day for it to refresh. I like that it takes a while to unlock characters which makes you want to play more but sometimes its too long. Dont mind spending money here and there but hyper drive bundle is pretty much the only bundle that packs alot. All the others are small and dont help you much. Please change that. Thnks

  31. Matthew Nakhla-avatar

The overall play of the game is great, but some aspects of it suck. The hyperdrive bundle for 100$ is stupid, you get everything, takes away the fun of earning. I have spent money on the game, because I get a little impatient and wanted certain characters earlier, but there is still plenty of people much better than me at my level. The amount of sim tickets we get from fleet arena is insane, give us another way to use up the crazy amount of sim tickets we have saved up.

  32. gavin ghafoori-avatar

I've played a number of turn-based RPGs in my time, but none have ever caught me like Galaxy of Heroes. Every part of the game is well thought out, from the sleek UI to the user-friendly content navigation, and most of all the amazing battle mechanics. Every character feels like it has a place, and the game is truly immersive in the realm of Star Wars, all the while keeping from being intrusive. SWGoH keeps me coming back for more, and, from a mobile game nonetheless, that's pretty impressive.

  33. Bity-avatar

Gameplay is phenomenal, but the monitization is awful. I love Star Wars, I love this style of game, but unless you are paying money, and quite a bit of money, I'm talking a few thousand annually, you will not be able to play this game competitively. Will you be able to have fun using your favorite characters and making wanky teams, yes, but will you ever be able to compete with people who spend, no.

  34. Morgan Dixon-avatar

I used to love this game, but it has turned into one of the biggest pay to win games. A new character will be released and you might get it in 6 months, or get out the credit cards. Lacking solid new contend. Used to be a game I would watch YouTube videos about and play multiple times a day. Now I would consider installing to make room for pictures of the new paint in my livingroom.

Ok this game getting really greedy, I have been playing for other 2 years and CG tuning events without even letting people know, so they spend more money on gear and crystals to catch up to it. But the worst is there is no new content to play, every day you have to do same 2-4 years old raids and content. This game needs a big change, and not just ribbing people of with garbage packs and staff.

  36. Bram Herndl-avatar

The core of this game is great. There a lots of cool ideas and well used characters. On the other hand tho, one of the worst dev teams. The devs have figured out perfectly how to take money from your wallet. They're condescending and rude. Ask the player base what they want and then never follows through. The game has grossed 1 billion dollars yet sandbox mode is too expensive. I'd recommend the game 4 years ago but its dying and CG is milking it. There hasn't been new content for a year now.

  37. Toby Brown-avatar

I have been playing this game for 8 months. I still get destroyed in most events and the ship (once you open them up) are put on an awful fight system that makes no sense to anyone I've talked to about it. Most of the good rewards from missions are put in missions small members can't even join. This game is designed to make you spend money to (AND LOTS OF IT) be even competitive. I have spent around $200 and it has not helped hardly any at all. I'll never spend another cent on this rigged game!

  38. n B-avatar

I've been playing this game for 3 years and ive finally reached lvl 85. It seriously takes a lot of work, no joke u need to put months worth of hours into this game, and people need to pay at least $200 if they want to make progress in a year. I myself have never payed but have enjoyed playing, its great once you start, and theres a lot to do. My only complaint is the time and for some money people need for this game.

  39. David Morin-avatar

I left a bad review but it was removed The gameplay is great, battles are engaging and challenging. The game will try to cheat you to the max, 1. do not fight more than 2x when using tickets or drop rate plumits. 2. When farming for gear pieces, do not go through the characters even if its convenient because drop rates are lower. 3. Dont buy any packs that do not give guarantees, ex: a pack offer 5-330 cards, you will get 5-7 every time.

  40. Drew Jones-avatar

honestly I love it can't get enough of this it's the best game ever and if you loved star wars squad arena you will be very satisfied with this you can play as nearly every character from the movies although it does take a lot of grinding but it is worth it and you will never get bored I could go on for ages but to summaris3 it all BEST. GAME. EVER.

  41. JarJarBinks-avatar

I've been playing this game for a long time and would love to give it 5 stars but for quite a while now the only intention of Capital Games seems to be making money without any new content. This literally is a billion dollar game and releases content in an amount of a one person development while many other games don't seem to have these issues at all. If this changes at some point I'm willing to change my mind again...

Wth? Took me 2 hours waiting in the loading screen. Now I get why people are quitting this game. I used to play for 4 years and it keeps getting worse. I can't even farm gears for my units because of your cheap sim system. Can't even give those players plenty of time farming characters. Collecting shards bruh how come I've sim 15 I only get 2 shards. Really? Wth!

The app works well with no technical issues to speak of. The game can be enjoyed free to play, but to really advance and participate in every aspect of the game, one must spend money and not an insignificant amount. I've spent far too much, yet the release of the new Galaxtic Legends characters are totally inaccessible to me as someone willing to waste money on the game.

  44. Amiel Lopez-avatar

Been playing for over 4 years. Used to be an amazingly fun game; but these last couple months alone have changed that completely. Capital games is continuously showing its player base that they literally do not care about content or giving players what they want. If this game wasnt star wars, it would've failed long ago. Shadow raid legends, even the Harry Potter Mobile game has better graphics with more content than this game. Dont waste your time or money.

  45. Cruzy vS3-avatar

It took me 6 months to get to level 85, needless to say if youre looking for a time consuming game this is it. The wide variety of characters and synergies is amazing. The only reason why i didnt give it 5 stars is because of the $100 boost you can buy to automatically bump you up to 85. Some people like myself have worked hard for 85.

I got this just a few weeks ago and it was alright, I kept playing but it took awhile to star playing. It would take about half an hour to load. I'm not impressed cause it took my time away and I couldn't have much fun with the game. I would rate this a 5 star if it was easy to get characters and if the loading could stop. I wouldn't recommend this to you but if you really have the time and you really like star wars than go ahead and do it. If you get it I hope you ha e a better time than I did.

  47. Edgar Moreno-avatar

I was buying crystals to see if I could get more character shards for the mandalorian and when I go use these crystals on the Mando pack, the range of character shards is extremely high but the probability of getting anything more than 7 shards is extremely low. I have spent already around 40 dollars or more. I am very dissatisfied with the actual probability that the Mando pack offers. Waste of money and time.

  48. Floyd Solo-avatar

This game has a lot going for it. Good music and SFX. All of our favoite Stars Wars characters. Controls are fairly easy. But...unless you have deep pockets it is going to take you a LOT of time grinding to be remotely competitive. You'll either need money or patience.

If you have money, you will love this game, if not, its extremely difficult getting new characters, money, etc. I wouldn't reccomend this game to anyone who has no money. It's very slow paced and very difficult in beginner battles. Yes, I'm very aware you are supposed to level up your characters to keep up but how are you supposed to level up your characters when it takes forever to get enough currency to do so?!

at the time of writing this review this is the only game that in my opinion gets F2P right. i like it enoug to want to play every day. when i miss a few i'm not coming back to ruins of being attacked by another player. by the time i run out of alloted energy i feel like ive played enough. i dont feel like i'm trapped behind a pay wall. the only times i threw money at it was out of grattitude to devs. individual milage may vary with how the player approaches the game

I Played this game from the beginning and every year or so the price of everything doubles it's absolutely pay to win, there's nothing fun about it unless you're gonna drop a $1000 a month it's not worth it it's frustrating it's annoying it's not worth your time just move on......... I don't mind paying for dumb cellphone games but when you're charging a $100 for a pack, you have near impossible events that require thousands of $ just to participate, no ty.

To those about to download; a warning. This game is very slow, expensive, and cantankerous. If you enjoy the SW franchise, the character selection is amazing, the abilities reflect character traits. However, progressing in levels, or acquiring characters requires copious amounts of time (3 months per 7 star character at best), or grotesque amounts of money (several thousand for a fighting force, nothing max level). If youre not hooked yet, RUN!!!

  53. Josh Lynn-avatar

Gameplay has become stale. Power creep has taken over, it doesn't make sense to start fresh in this game at this point. Connection issues constantly. Raid: shadow legends is probably a better overall experience by now. SWGOH has devolved into something awful in true EA fashion, just another ridiculous cash grab before the game dies.

  54. Edward Quinn-avatar

In the beginning, this gm was overly enjoyable. Somewhere over time though (it became clearly unbalanced and impossible). I have attempted to get Commander Skywalker several times over with characters that meet the perquisites, and clearly it's a mission that demands more than strategy. Unfortunately what else it requires is beyond me 😑😒🙄. Other than that, I enjoyed the gm. Also, free 2 play. Purchases are optional. Not the worst gm, fairly enjoyable. Minus the balance. Imo.

Been playing for years, had the potential to be an amazing game but between incompetant Developers and the typical greed of EA it has been sufficiently ruined. I would recommend any new comers to avoid this game. Which is why I give this 1* Whales are currently keeping the game afloat but it has been very obvious for a long time the Developers are only motivated by money and even if it would improve the game it's not given anytime unless there is profit in it. 0 Growth potential now it's sad.

Very fun, tons to do, character keep getting added. Some Clone Wars season 7 versions of Ahsoka, Maul, Rex, and Gar Saxon would be cool, and adding Bo Katan. I think the prices on the purchases are steep for the relatively low amounts shards they give. All in all a great game with fantastic combat and active development. I would like another Ahsoka pls. Maybe one that can compete with top tier characters that can synergize with a mandalorian faction with Bo Katan, Ursa Wren and others.

This game is designed to take your money...its that simple. They make all in-game goals unachievable...unless you have thousands of dollars to spend on a mobile game...so if you have a limitless disposable income, then yea this game is awesome, 5 stars all the way

I love this game, HOWEVER, I have been trying to log into my account on my new phone. I did not have a save on Google Play so needed to connect and link device. I followed the steps on the EA website and after step 6 I keep getting a message to restart and Error: 9.0. **** UPDATE**** A new update appeared last night and it now works. Thanks EA :)

  59. Ross Brinker-avatar

There is no balance in the arena (pvp) aspects. Everytime they introduce a new character it is designed to beat the last character. The "Galactic Legends" characters have 6 Zeta abilities while most have 3-4. And if you want to be a free2play, it will take you a long time to get a Galactic Legend toon. By then, they'll be mostly obsolete by newer toons. I think they should have made the Galactic Legend as new abilities to add to all toons, much like the relic system.

I have reached out multiple time about unauthorized purchases on my account. They have led me in circles im extremely frustrated with no resolution. I have reached out to help.ea made multiple tickets sent pictures. Provided information as requested. Tried making in game tickets as instructed only for the help button to take me back to the place where I placed my original ticket. This has been the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

Game is fun however the energy requirements to gather what you need to collect, upgrade and promote your characters is a joke! Just wasted over 100 energy looking for one piece to upgrade character equipment to level IV and got nothing. The game is made to force you to buy energy or sit and wait hours to try again, and hope that you get what you want! If it's this long at level IV can't imagine what it will be like later in game. Of course you can alway buy the £99.99 bundle they offer

  62. stew-avatar

This should be a great game however once again this is a pay to play app thats set up to encourage in app purchases, the gear drops are now so low for the first time Im looking at deleting it as the gear/upgrades are getting Impossible to complete without real money (which Im not interested in doing here), there are more & more characters & upgrades yet no increase in energy at all, older maxed out characters are now useless in many cases as they only upgrade so far, this games one to avoid imo

Best game ever, from a lvl 20 Google player. You don't need to pay, don't listen to the other. There is so much to do in this game, you can play for hours daily. You will need to grind, but it's easy and fun. In just playing your normal daily stuff you get a 5star Darth Vader free. Make your top players strong, then expand and you will be fine.

  64. John Pool-avatar

WARNING!!! All EA wants is money.!! You will be hit with ads telling you to buy their packs all the time. You will never catch up to the people that have spent money!! The grind is such a waste of time when the shard drops are so low!!! Save your money!!! Save your time!!!

  65. Hayden Bovard-avatar

A fun game with only a select few balancing issues. The Phoenix group right now is very unbalanced, so many people are using it. The abilities are too powerful and need to be nerfed. Other than that, the game is fun with a healthy amount of grinding and enjoyable gameplay.

I really enjoy playing this game. Theres a lot of amazing characters from the movies, and the expanded universes. Each character has their own unique abilities that work best in different situations, so strategy is key. It's very fun being able to play as whatever character you want. It's not to difficult, and it's not too easy. One recommendation, I really wish that ashoka tano was in the characters list. She has been with us for a ling time, and plays a huge role in the star wars story line.

As an original Star Wars trilogy Fan, (Thank you George Lucas) and the kind of fan that Kathleen Kennedy hates, it does my heart good to play a game where I can see my old friends again. a starwars based turn based tactical game. if it weren't starwars if my guild were not as friendly and if i hadn't invested so much time in it, i would stop. edit: game got less f2p friendly edit : not beginner friendly. you need to pay an extreme amount of money to keep up. a real pitty. graphic : 6/10 sound : 6/10 funfactor : 7/10

  70. A Head-avatar

Great game! Also a huge time sink and as grindy as you can imagine. Only F2P friendly if you don't care about beating the whales: look for guides online and follow them before getting too far into the game. If you are a potential whale, look online about how greedy their P2W system is. I've seen reddit/forum posts that provide the math and show the cost of keeping up with the top whales is easily in the 6 figures. Insane.

  71. Matt Roux-avatar

It's an addictive game. The value in what they want you to pay for is usually fairly low. They have a nice package that costs $100.00 if you want to drop that sort of money. Too bad they have not found a way to split up that offer to 2 or 3 smaller packages with the same value. Game needs a mode where you can battle friends with no limitations on # of matches.

  72. Horse Nuggets-avatar

I'm sick and tired of this. Every time I try to get someone I think is cool and easy enough to farm it's completely un-meta. Every time I try to farm and grind someone who's part of the meta a new meta comes around when I'm not even halfway through with the last one. It was fun for the first year because of the novelty of characters but now I just can't be asked anymore and figured I should quit before I cave in to the microtransactions this game keeps pushing.

  73. Dakota-avatar

While it sucks that you feel pressured to pay in order to progress in the game, it's not an requirement. With a little work and dedication you can get your favorite characters and play quite a few options in the game. I've been playing off and on since this game started and it's as addicting as ever. If you love Star Wars, this is a must have and even better if you're willing to pay a little extra which again is not an requirement. Hope you enjoy as much as I have.

  74. Dan LaFave-avatar

Great game. A vast array of characters from the star wars universe, but there are so many more great characters and chapters to bring to life. The only thing id like to see changed, is more credits per mission. 1k credits per mission won't do jack after lvl 85. Its millions to upgrade each character, not even talking about mods and relics...

  75. Achilles-avatar

SW:GoH is a good game that gets murdered by EAs/CGs absurdly aggressive monetization scheme. When a mobile game asks upwards of 200€ (and that doesn't account for gearing which is an even BIGGER money sink) in order to get a single new character and have him be usable in any sort of content, you know there's something seriously wrong. If a free player can accept that he will never be competitive with the ones that pay, then he can get some enjoyment out of it.

  76. Adam Martin-avatar

I've been playing this game for a couple of years. It's fun, and I enjoy talking to my guild mates. I think EA asks for too much money for the gear and everything else they sell to you, especially considering there's no guarantee that they won't end the game at some point. Other than that, I have no problem with the game.

Great game in some ways, horrible in others. I enjoy the collection aspect of the game, and having a great guild will totally change the experience. But the money it costs to keep up is insane. It's a F2P game in theory but you could spend $1000s and still not have everything. I'm not sure how they justify that kind of thing. I can spend $60 on a AAA console game and expect to unlock everything. You can spend $5000 on this game and still not be there, never mind the release of new P2P toons.

my favorite game I've ever played on Android I've been addicted to this game for 2 years now can't get enough of it wonderful gameplay great developer feedback if you ever have any questions or need any assistance, the developer team members are incredible at doing their jobs, especially in their human resource / customer service department.. they will answer your questions convincingly, and in a timely manner. I love this game..

  79. Mark Armstrong-avatar

Nobody hates EA more than I do and I was very pleasantly surprised. If you've played RAID Shadow Legends, this is basically just the Star Wars version of that, and I like it. I'm especially impressed that they've balanced it (at least so far) with the idea that the player might not purchase anything in mind. The network is AWFUL though - if you're on wifi 9 times out of 10 the game just won't even start, much less work. Still fun and the only game I go back to multiple times a day.

I've been playing for a couple years now F2P. It is far and away the best star wars game I've found on mobile. But it's also changed. There dev team has turned it's back on the community and seems to focus only on money and not on improving the game. The graphics are bad. The game is filled with bugs. And everything "new" features a massive paywall. F2P players have been largely shunned and forgotten by the devs. Now progress is slow and boring and no how in sight from a radio silent company

  81. Jason Kiefer-avatar

I have been enjoying this game, but just like most of these games, it has become pay to win. The packs, however, are very very very expensive and you get hardly anything for your money. The grind of the game is not too bad and you can get new characters by grinding. The PVP, on the other hand, is ridiculous. At first, it was even; but now after about two weeks of playing, even players whose points are 1000s of points lower than my team are beating me handily. Pretty obvious pay to win.

  82. James Berube-avatar

This game is over all fun it's a whatever about the paid a play feature if you don't do that stuff you can still play the game the things that get annoying is the nurffing of the teams them telling you lose when your team is better in a SIM and then arena battles they do not update after a new arena battle starts after the 3 matches so your team will basically be the same as when you 1st join your 1st arena battle Which is very unfair you should be able to use your team accordingly

  83. Time Fourty-avatar

Dont listen to 5 star reviews they mention nothing of the cost or unfair battle line ups so much negative to discuss. You will be discouraged quickly once ur progresss slows. You have to be an uncompetitive player to enjoy game. upgrade characters cost in game money. Payoff is not equal to level of player. Yet the level of game changes to level of player. Impossible to get all characters without guild $. Greedy Greedy Greedy. Players start and lose interest due to cost. 1/3 the cos

  84. Kevin Fretz-avatar

Fun game. I find in the Grand Arena and Territory War modes tend to freeze the game almost daily regardless of restarting the app or phone. In these modes your characters are lost during a crash while any progress that team made is reset. The drop rates also tend to dry up the closer you get to a goal. There are some insanely overpowered characters as well.

  85. Michael Malin-avatar

Way too expensive. Run more crystal sales! Many I connect with are on the verge of quitting! I wonder what I could have done instead of dumping endless wads of cash into a fantasy. Long term players deserve better rewards. Dedication for those who keep this game alive!! No such thing as free to play..

  86. MrDrCbag-avatar

Good game overall, but could have more ways to be able to access crystals more often, with like a crystal event. Otherwise you end up stuck for ages with no way to gear up the necessary teams, without having to put money into the game.

  87. Neil Hague-avatar

Good game but prioritises money over gameplay. Knowing what I now know I would not want to be just starting out in this game, unless I have lots of cash burning a whole in my pocket and by lots I mean tens of thousands. Updated to 1 star this game is now in cash cow mode.

  88. Darth Jermily-avatar

This is a very fun game for fans of the franchise. However, like most mobile games, you have to pay RIDICULOUS amounts of money to stay in the meta. The Galactic Legends event seems to be a complete failure. Whales are spending thousands of dollars on these two characters, and from EVERY review I have read, it was a waste. Its being called the worst fail in mobile gaming history. However, I have been playing for almost 4 years, spending very, very little, and am content. F2P will never catch up

  89. Jacob Roberson-avatar

Love the game but hate how you are taking away the free to play aspect of the game. It takes months to grind 50 of the gear you need just to equip one character. each character needs the same gear. so all the people that spend hundreds of dollars have all the best characters and Max gear with the best mods. Very unfair balance. Make the gear drops a bit better or something. When I first played I have the game 5* then I had issues with and update so down to 3* and now it's 1* cause of unfairness

  90. Matthew Peters-avatar

I really enjoy playing this game. However, in the last 6 months, the developers have made this game heavily pay to play only. To be able to keep up with the meta, players have to send thousands of dollars to stay up to date. The most recent "content" was a slow release for 4 months that resulted in the worst designed and laziest events. I will still play this game because I enjoy Star Wars. Capital Games needs to stop trying to get money from everyone and needs to make a game for the players.

  91. Nobody Knows-avatar

I love Star Wars, and I have been playing SWGOH for years. As a fan, I have been rather lenient on CG's actions, but I feel like the time for that is over. They have long since abandoned any relationship with the community. Major requests are outright ignored, and the F2P community is being curb stomped. They have slowed down "content" to a trickle, and what little they have is dedicated to those who are willing to spend thousands. For such a profitable game, their actions are inexcusable.

Disney should have backed a game like force arena, which had phenomenal gameplay, rather than one that changes up the meta and forces you to spend money if you want to remain relevant. I don't disagree that this game used to be incredible, but it has gone downhill and unless you want to drop bookoo bucks into it, expect to finish middle of the pack. I've played this for several years now, and even with quite a substantial amount of money in it, and immense time, I'm behind the curve :(

  93. SERPANTTOUNGs-avatar

I have played this over the time of years now. For the bundle packs are too expensive for the very little items you get. The first few months seemed fun. It's to a point it's not really fun anymore for the grind to unlock alot of characters. It feels like a chore. The game crashed a few times during some of my championship battles automatically counting them as loses. So I missed out on those resources for leveling up. This game is ran by EA. That says enough.

  94. Alexis Bernal-avatar

This game is great. But CG does not care about the players. Galactic legends was the biggest cash dump we've seen thus far. We need better play systems. Like sand box mode. New content. New characters not needed. Just new content. Honestly, thinking quitting this game again. But there's nothing else I play on my phone. Also I have spent money. That's probably why I'm more disappointed

  95. Pog Mo Thoin-avatar

Don't download this game! Be prepared to spend $10,000+ if you do. It's a good game to play for 5 minutes a day, that's it, there's almost nothing to do in the game to occupy more time. It is extremely grindy, collecting characters and the gear they need takes forever, literally months per character. The developers have no interest in adding new features or engaging content into the game. The only thing they add consistently is microtransaction packs at an exorbitant prices. Utter waste of time

  96. Jor_mit-avatar

It's good and I've been playing this game for awhile now, but you should do sandbox where you can choose any characters and everyone is Max out and you can watch your basically pit fight it out, cause I really wanna do sandbox where every character is Max (only for the sandbox mode, if your character isn't max in general it still would be max in sandbox) and you can choose your team and your enemy's team, thanks for understanding

Oh boy, here we go. This is an example of how EA didn't learn from Battlefront 2. This is the single most pay-2-win game I have ever seen. Just let me summarize the past 5 months for you. We finally finish the clone wars season with a new event. They introduce a teaser for episode 9 Rey and Kylo in the event menus. We got them a week ago. In that time, they released the 26 characters you needed to get them. The events were lazy and when confronted, they took the test accounts away from YouTubers

  99. C Smith-avatar

Just got into it today, and fun so far. I think becuase I'm just starting out, there's not much tactical depth yet; that is, there's not much difference in choosing, "hit this enemy as opposed to hit that enemy". But I suspect such decisions will become more relevant over time. Update - a couple weeks, in and there's defintiely more strategy now in the battles. Biggest complaint is that you can't numerically tell how much hit points the enemies have.

Not bad, could be better. You made the mandolorian event for higher level players, makes it really unfair considering you have to really grind if you wanna get to level 85. Then you guys usually make it to where you have to buy the characters after the events. You should really fix that.
