Have played this game for several years off and on, got back into it over the last year and a half. A couple months ago I was excited about the changes they had been making and the direction of the game - it was a lot of fun and there were about 5 different teams that could do well in both squad and fleet arena. Over the last month they have tanked that direction and many characters and teams that I spent a long time planning, gearing, and modding have been drastically changed. Some of those teams are still OK against specific counters but they no longer work for the original reason I wanted them. TLDR: Recent updates are terrible, changes nerfing characters that take a long time to collect and build.

The game is dead. Bad dev team. Freezes during fights, glitches, bugs,P2W. Dont start the game in 2021 , it is a waste of time. They make the worst decision, they prefer create tons of Paywalls ,instead of fix the issues, and they dont listen to the community. After 4 years on the game , I'm deleting it , because the fun and the goodsense left the game.

This it's the worst app I've ever played. If I could give it a zero star then I would. If your f2p then this isn't your game. The crystals are so hard to get as well as multi summons are so damn expensive. You can buy characters but at a ridiculous price yet you are still not guaranteed it. So if I was you I would stay away from this game. Don't throw away your money to greedy E.A.

The game has become just about getting gear, non stop. F2P are going to have a hard time, need $$$$ to get ahead and stay competitive in this game, too too many character releases, you don't know what to farm, just absolute bonkers!!! Would give zero stars if possible, just turned a great game into a money churning piece of Trash!!! If you want to progress spend in this game 💰 💰 💰 these game developers deserve zero stars boycott this game, get them to PAY ATTENTION!!!

This game is a huge money grab. It cheats you with frustration algorithms to get you to spend money. All the casino/ random loot box BS is weighted so you will spend money. You are expected to pay about 500$ a toon to obtain and gear up, and you need 5 in a squad and need multiple teams. Cpu cheats you hard till you get the right RNG. Fun game if you want to spend thousands of dollars to do a coin flip. Want to FTP? The grind is years unless you spend money. The game is losing players quickly.

Blocks other audio so you can't play the game and listen to music, audible, podcasts etc. Edit: now been playing for 2-3 months and it's now literally impossible to progress without spending no small amount of money. I used to spend £5-10 per month on Clash of Clans which I was happy to do, but this game requires you to spend hundreds of £'s per month once you get to a certain gear level. Fun while progress is possible through grind, but it's clear what the priorities for the devs are.

Let me start this review like this, I love SWGOH as a game overall, have been playing it since 2016. Over the last 3 years though, the developers of this game have gone so downhill that unless you spend $4000/month(not satire), they dont care about you. It has become more and more predatory with microtransactions and with RNG designed to give less as you get closer to finishing things. Honestly this game is not worth starting now and absolutely NOT worth spending money on.

Recent changes made within the game (intentionally by the devs) have made the game more pay-to-play. PVP isn't fun with the changes to galactic legend counters, territory battles & war is getting stale, galactic conquest just turned even more grindy, un-fun, repetitive, and also unrewarding. if you're a new player looking to try it, just do yourselves a favor and stay away, there are better games out there that may be worth looking into (definitely not this one)

I love this game. It needs patience at start if you can't afford things. The conquest? Difficult but every time you work on toons it gets easier and fun. It's difficult? just wait for the next time. You know what? I enjoy everything.Find a good guild, prepare together to achieve things and it will be fun. I enjoy grand arena, Territory battles and wars even if I don't have money to farm my GL faster. At the start it was boring but when you have a plan it's a great game.

I spent money early in the game which wasn't bad to get a jump start...the cash grab hits hard when you start going for higher gear levels. It takes six pieces of gear for each new gear level, there are 13 gear levels per character. Gear lvl 8 or 9 is when the real grind begins, it can take weeks of grinding to max 1 character with FTP. You can buy the gear with crystals, the cost would average from $5-$15 for ONE of the six pieces needed for ONE more gear level! Gets very expensive to keep up!
