Amazing app, so fun to use and is excellent for learning, but the 5 minutes a day is honestly really annoying, duolingo gets along with being infinite time, but the 5 minute restriction is a huge downfall to an otherwise amazing app

Fun, colorful, achievable way to expand standard Italian vocabulary. I love the 5-min a day limit-- you don't have time to stress or worry, and it also forces you to keep up with a faster pace, more like listening to actual speech. I think you should add a "race" feature where you translate as many words as possible in e g. one minute.

  32. Jasmine Cunningham-avatar

    Jasmine Cunningham

I love this app! It's a very fun and relaxing way to learn. The games used make it easier to actually remember what I'm learning. Although, I think a few more games should be implemented because there just isn't enough variety with "games". The list of different categories is great though, with plenty to choose from. I think a crossword puzzle or memory card type of game would be an awesome addition to incorporate.

  33. Paktalin-avatar

The app is well made and I was fully enjoying it until a couple of days ago, when it stopped opening. The welcoming purple screen with drawings appears, stays there for some seconds and after that the app gets closed. No errors. I tried restarting my phone and reinstalling the app. Neither of these actions helped. Would be grateful if you could fix the issue. I'm ready to help if any testing/whatever else is needed from my side :)

  34. Romeo Jackson-avatar

    Romeo Jackson

after playing with the app, it really does help. it's easier to learn pronunciation with a spelling game. this app is amazing for learning another language. I only need 5 minutes at a time, which is amazing! some people can't stand 4 hour lectures at colleges about a foreign language. this app is worth every penny. it's the best app I have ever seen for learning another language, period.

  35. Drema Sacco-avatar

    Drema Sacco

I enjoyed it very much and was not expecting it to be an interactive experince! I really like that it is challenging and speaks in the language you are learning rather than English. The colors of the app are fun and entertaining as well as the bubbly bright mood set. Yet I hope no payements come up and I would rather be given a reward knowing I'm doing well in the course.

  36. Baroness Crimson-avatar

    Baroness Crimson

I would give the app five stars, but there appears to be a bit of confusion between the speaker and the words in the screen - the one I've found is for soda. The speaker says, "la soda" but the words under the picture say "la bevanda gassata." It's amusing, but probably should be corrected; the app should also be checked over to see if there are any other conflicting spoken-vs-written words. Otherwise, it's a great little app!

  37. nascent nascentt-avatar

    nascent nascentt

Had enough now. Disabling notifications entirely. Fed up of all the notifications at random hours of the day (not the time i specified in the app). Support told me a fix was incoming,b ut it cannot possibly take this long to fix. Other than that, the app needs some improvement. Many of the images used are very similar and hard to identify. Coca cola, bottle, beverage, pour, acqua, acqua minerale. all these images are interchangeable You have to memorise the exact image rather than the italian word. This is is about learning to recognise random images rather than learning a language. Also, not a fan of the wordsearch/swipe letters element of the app somtimes there are two of the same letter, but you fail for picking the wrong one. Really not sure how much this app is helping me learn. Prefer duolingo and busuu

  38. Cassie Hoodless-avatar

    Cassie Hoodless

I quite like this app actually. Really helps with practicing spelling. The games are diverse enough to keep you entertained for the whole five minutes. You can only play 5 minutes every 10 hours which I think is good, if you learn too many words at once you risk not being able to remember as much. It also keeps track of the days you play which is satisfying to see. Animations/images of words are great and gameplay is easy.

  39. David Lupau-avatar

    David Lupau

This app is great to learn language, the best I've tried mainly to learn new vocabulary. Design is nice and you can "kick out" the words you already know. Free version includes 5 minutes every 10h which is perfect for me in the train. A bit in the morning, a bit after work. Thanks to developers

What a simple and easy to use app that is extremely helpful. I am surprised at how quickly I am picking up Italian vocabulary by Language Drops' brilliant interface. I love how genuine the vocals are for the Italian pronunciations. I highly recommend downloading this app without thinking twice. It reminds me of how clever the Elevate Brain Training App works... Another recommended download. Grazie Mille Language Drops.

Too basic, I wanted this app to consolidate my knowledge of Italian. Unfortunately I have to start from the very beginning and wish that there were a way of assessing the level of knowledge. I like the way drops works in way of learning more and more vocabulary but not starting from having to learn hello yes and no a thousand times over. I want to bypass the basics but can't.

  43. Adriana Tell-avatar

    Adriana Tell

I love this app. I learned a lot. But after a while i would like to start also learning more verbs, or to have more opportunities to form sentences. I got a lot of vocabulary..and i'm able to understand simple conversations. But i am stuck when it's time to put words together to form a sentence. I am wondering if you guys are also capable of offer that aspect as well. I paid for the application and i'm not regret it at all. But i wish you can provide more tools..easy and clear like this. Thanks

  44. Laela Peterson-Stolen-avatar

    Laela Peterson-Stolen

The interface is great... but there are a few serious errors where the written word and the spoken do not match up. I'm re-learning the language and have just suggested to a friend that they avoid this app as the errors could be bewildering to a first time learner. I'm glad I didn't pay for it.

  45. JustATroll-avatar

I wouldn't say this should be used solely on its own, since it doesn't teach grammer or sentence structure (mind you I've only used it a couple days now), BUT if used in conjunction with other lessons, it helps A LOT. Repetitive, but still enjoyable, chunks of memorization for individual words makes lessons on grammer easier to swallow so you aren't struggling with individual words. The app is clean, straightforward, and easy to use.

  46. Jessica Mara-avatar

    Jessica Mara

Fantastic app for quick learning some words....but one thing is very bad. There were 3 times who the voice said something different than it had been written. (Like "il pepe" and it says "il peperoncino" and some failure at the word goal and another one i don't remember yet....maybe it will be corrected i hope.)

As a beginner, I'm really enjoying this app. As someone with little free time, I enjoy the quick simple lessons. Learning a foreign language has been proven to help retain mental sharpness. For those looking for a simple, enjoyable way to do this- this app fills that need. I will recommend it to friends.

This app is a excellect tool. It's simple to do in 5 5 minutes at a time so you don't lose focus. Wonderful to learn how to spell the words properly in the language you are learning. Love the added feature of hearing the proper pronunciation out loud. Thank you.

  50. Joseph Bruner-avatar

    Joseph Bruner

The concept is good but the implementation is frustrating. If you are not a subscriber, the program keeps repeating the same words over and over and over again. Even if you get the word correctly, it keeps repeating the same sets of words. For all the time invested, the user does not gain a large vocabulary.

It's a good idea but it has two main problem: 1.It insists to purchase the app . It doesn't let you use the app freely. Drives me crazy. I believe that Duolingo's way of money making is way better. 2.I believe that in order to fully learn a foreign word you gotta practice its dictation. Hints don't help here

This app is great for everyone because it's simple to use, it doesn't waste your time, and it's really helpful for learning vocabulary from a foreign language in a super easy and fun way. Also great for visual learners. I definitely recommend it.

Great help with vocabulary This application introduces and expands you to you chosen language. I really love this app but am I supposed to have just 5 minutes in all drops apps that I'm using? If I use 2 minutes in the korean one I'll just have 3 minutes the the italian.. it's really bothering me and I would be really thankful if someone could explain it to me

This is app is really fun and it makes me really want to learn but a little flaw is that you only get 5 minutes and you learn everything so fast! But overall I reccomend this app if you enjoy colors and you can learn through audio, hearing, and reading!

Very good! I am happy to say that so far this is a very good app. It let's me pit what I want to learn in short bursts of time. It also has a good way of teach each person no matter how you learn best.

  58. Lupo-avatar

It's a really nice way to learn vocab casually or keep existing vocabulary up to date. The repetition isn't annoying and the app is relaxing and intuitive. Such a shame the time appears to be limited at 5 minutes a day though.

Totally stupid. Under food there is no "food", under drinks there is no "beer", but in first two lessons you learn all the types of nuts there are. Also lack of basics like "hers cat" or "our home". Looks nice, good concept, really bad execution.

  67. Annie Girard-avatar

    Annie Girard

The mechanics of the app are too fastidious. There are no ways to take into account what one already has learned in a language. The variety of exercises is minimal. This is not going to be interesting for me.

  68. Drew-avatar

Interactive learning with clear and accurate pronunciations. Bright and clean images aid the learning process. Easy to navigate through app. A great companion for learning a language!

  69. Alex-avatar

Misleading when it comes to payments. It said the yearly plan would be paid as a monthly bill, but instead, it was paid at all at once. Even after canceling my subscription, I didn't get any of my money back.
