Simple a DLNA compatible media server. It allows stream multimedia files (photo / music / video) from Android devices to any UPnP / DLNA client, for example, Smart TV, Play Station or Xbox 360, etc. There is support playlists (m3u, m3u8, pls) just specify the playlist file. Now server supports getting data from SMB and FTP. Dlna works good, the ftp/smb does not bind properly. Timeouts on the custom port specified for ftp and SMB fails to connect

Every 30-40mins it will stop ..but app will still be running but service will stop for some reason then I have I restart app and close and reopen media player in ps4 to work again..using it for ps4 streaming from phone ...

No ads, easy to setup, and does what it's supposed to. The downside is it isn't pretty, and no in-app handholding through setup (which is selecting where to look for your pro... Media files). I wish more apps were as good at what they do as DLNAServer is. Some examples of DLNA clients: PlayStation 4, most smart TVs, any PC or phone with a DLNA aware media player like VLC. DLNAServer serves audio, video, and image files. Not all files are supported by all clients.

It takes forever for new media to show up. I added a file 24 hours ago and it still won't show up. Even manually adding that file when not make it visible. I have auto update media enabled and have cleared the cache and restarted. It's the first time. Previously a film wouldn't show up for a long time and then all of sudden it just started working. Also media that was previously available is now not showing up on the client.

Very simple, set folders with media, start, get generated IP to type into browser, done. I'd like to do one thing for it however, I'd like to change how the media files are displayed... like if I add an anime shows folder and anime movies folder, I'd like to make them be displayed as folders you can select and choose media that's contained in said folder... probably can but in not that good with programming stuff, kinda why I like this so much. Simple and easy to use (^^)

Works great on my Oneplus 7 Pro (Android 10) to stream mp3 / flac / and DSD (dsf, dff) files to my Yamaha Receiver. Does work to stream DSD files from my Nvidia Shield TV (Android 9), only with direct access using the "*" (with last 2.5 version) as described. (thanks to developer for quick fix) Powerfull but simple and free app, just what I needed.

Simple and effective. It works flawlessly streaming videos on the Oculus GO via Pigasus VR player or Oculus Gallery, but it doesn't work well with the Skybox VR player, it has an incompatibility issue with it. Overall great app, gets the job done.

Works for all DLNA's so far using my LG Android Rebel 4 with 8.1 version. I bought this phone just because it wasnt pre-loaded with a bunch of apps already but had LTE 5G and considerable storage and still unûsed space plus a fast uplink from external sd so it stays fast. Faster than my actual wifi and mobile networks are strong. My network is StraightTalk but I live in a valley and line of sight signal is impossible, even for RF, let alone microwave.

Disappointed. Sure it allows DLNA access to music on my phone but it does nothing to index that music using the metadata. Only options are searching by folder structure or a list of individual tracks. No artist, album, composer or genre indexing. BubbleUPnP DLNA does a better job, as does USB Audio Player Pro. Uninstalled.

This is my #1 goto for watching shows on my ps4 from my phone(asus zenfone max x018d) While on WiFi. Very easy to setup and use and probably has more features, i just don't use. If you own a PlayStation training what to stream to it, sorry apprenticeship works perfectly.

I use this to steam to my PS4. First time I used the app it worked no problem. Now I have to sit here and start and stop the server numerous times before it will work. Sometimes it works after a few tries, sometimes you try 20 times with no luck. When the app works, it's perfect. No ads. No bloated UI. Just a simple, (relatively) easy to use server. One last thing, there's no way to close the app without going into app info and forcing it closed.

Only DLNA app that actually got the job done casting to my PS4. Clean design, easy enough to figure out how it works (compare to the alternatives I tried), and most importantly it worked! I appreciate that it prompted me to whitelist it in the battery saver options - something I wouldn't have thought to do but could have gotten in the way.

Works great streaming videos from my phone to my LGTV. I love using this because I can use my phone while watching something on TV. Using the Samsung SmartThings only let's you send the video to the screen, but opening another app stops the video. This app works great with no ads and an easy to use interface.

Works perfectly, no ads, no premium. I use it to stream movies/tv shows to my PS4. Added the directory, started the server and it appeared instantly, does what it says, that makes it better than 80% of all apps on the play store. Big thank you to the author for not including ads or any sort of bs.

Works perfectly, except the occasional drop, which I'll leave as a bug for now. Great for techies, probably not for noobs. Probably needs a better gui but I personally can't complain for an app that works exceptionally well. My only suggestion would be a push option. For that one song, video etc if you could push the media to a dlna enabled receiver. Thx for a awesome app. Using LG G5. Android MM 6.01

App is simple web server with dlna proto. Size of app says that it do only that it must to do and nothing else, this is really good and deserve 5 🌟 without compromises! Only 3 option is missing: 1.Hardware & software (ffmpeg) acceleration 2. Media library 3. push DLNA media directly like it Bubble UPnP does doing. If you do it in your app and it will be staying simple it will be most powerful and popular DLNA app in all Google Play!

I'm at my wits end to watch a foreign film that needs subtitles (. srt). So glad I came across this app! After I downloaded it, I just added the path/directory of the film on my phone, loaded my media server on the PS4 and it immediately got detected. It gave the option to add subtitles and voila, it worked like a charm! 10 stars if I could for this app! For any PS4 folks that wants to play movies from phone to PlayStation, download MEDIA PLAYER first on the PS4 as it acts as a media server.

Super simple and straight forward. Works on dlna devices that can sometimes be very picky. Such as microsoft. Even xbox had no issues connecting. One question i have is: What is the 'always use saf' option do in the settings? Quick google search didnt help since, based one the results it gave me, google seems to want to sell me a patio table umbrella instead relevant search results. Yay for marketing that influences me to never buy anything they recommend. Easy 5 star for reply. Thanks

Disconnects a few seconds after the screen turns off. Battery optimization is not turned on. Please fix. Very unstable. EDIT: I have greenify installed and it was closing it in the background. Disable apps that clean background activities and the app works fine. Thanks for the app. Is good.

on my LG SMART TV I cannot go to specific media. for example when I connected to the tv and went to music I saw none of my music but when I went directly to files all my music was there however I just solved it by choosing the entire sd card storage to be shared with the TV

Anytime i want to add a new path i have to clear the app and start over adding all my previous path's plus any new ones to get them to display on my DLNA players such as Oculus Go, VLC, ect. Besides the above everything is perfect 👌

Very useful! Tether my phone to my PS4 and the media player will see the phone as a media server. Easy way to show video files on the phone to the PS4. Of course what's to be played has to be in supported format etc.

App doesn't work as a dlna server at all. It is not visible from my PS3, PS4 or Roku which are dlna clients. I can however browse via a web browser and download files, but this is not dlna streaming as the app suggests it can do. If there is an so update to fix this I will try again.

It works only intermittently for me. Always shows on Humax client but content does not always show. Needs restart when changing media type. I hoped this could replace Skifta manual apk which fully works. Hope its fixed soon. Samsung J3 2016 server.

PS3 USERS, use "PIXEL MEDIA SERVER" if your trying to stream to your ps3. I haven't had any problems with it. it's not on the play store anymore so you will need to sideload it onto your phone.
