Guide for connecting this application to a portable DVD writer :
1. Connect a supported portable DVD writer and Android device according to user's manual.
2. Click 'OK' on pop-up window to choose the application for USB device on Android device.
3. DISC LINK Platinum will start on Android device and connection will be completed.
※ Note
1. If you disconnect USB OTG cable during ODD operation, it will not work correctly.
2. If there are other applications that recognize USB device installed on smart device, connect ODD after cancelling 'LAUNCH BY DEFAULT' at Apps menu in Settings on smart device. (ex: TrueDVD, ES File Explorer)
3. To eject the disc inside ODD during video/music playback on the player works on with, terminate the player and then press eject key of ODD.
4. For playback of MP4, MOV, MPG, AAC format audio files in DISC EXPLORER, it might have some compatibility issues depending on the player works on with.
5. For playback of video files in DISC EXPLORER, playback action might be delayed or suspended by some compatibility issues depending on the player works on with.
6. For high resolution sound files such as 32bit, 24bit in AUDIO CD BURNER, play sound might be abnormal if you burn them onto a disc because their bitrate is over CD's bitrate.

I had hoped this app worked. it does not work for me. it begins to play then stops. As it keeps stopping then the message telling me it stopped! and leave feedback. i go to leave feedback and it goes to the app icon. I am using the latest Galaxy Tab S 6lite with Android 11 and with LG slim portable optical drive DVD player writer. The paperwork says it will work. The drive works but the app keeps stopping. I will update to more stars and good feedback if the apps get fixed.

why can't access sdcard? my androidbox is having low ROM but it supports external sdcard which is more than enough for me to copy dvd files over to play with other apps....since your truedvd+ is so terrible....but due to no ability to detect external sd storage (which should be something simple to build in android explorer apps) I'm now stuck with the poor truedvd+ that doesn't support 5.1 audio passthrough...

For once, "You get what you pay for" is true....1st, this app worked with a Dell, not an LG - go figure. 2nd, it will play tracks OK, but does not read the ID3 (I assume) data. On functions such as Ripper, it won't get past the second button. Only other app I found that would control a portable CD player was CD Ripper by Convert Technologies (last updated 2018). This did everything right - connected more simply, displays all track data - but sadly, they charge a fee per track. Hence my opening comment. Either this app is not physically reading the CD or not connecting to Gracenote, but since CD Ripper worked fine with the same hardware, gotta be the app that needs fixing.

For those of you just downloading and running this app? BE AWARE!!! This program is ONLY for specific hardware! It only works with specific drives (Hitachi-LG portable DVD writer). Great for transferring your old favorite music CD"s to your micro SD in like Android 8 and higher phones. The "Slim Portable" H-L drives also work with PC's in Windows 10. The big advantage is that the drive is powered by USB. No bulky power supply needed! If you do not have the listed hardware, it will not work.

Number 1. I have 2 external CD/DVD drives and this app doesn't recognize either one of them. Number 2. The app needs a button to eject the CD's. Number 3. There needs to be more power sent to the CD Drive because neither of my drives will spin up so the CD's can be read. Another thing that needs to be addressed is Hard Drives. Someone needs to write an app that is able to read and write to and from Hard Drives connected via USB Interface.

Used it to rip cd to my phone. Very easy to use. But every time you take a disc out and put a new one in. It shuts the app down. But it's very easy to restart the app and rip the cd. A little bit inconvenient but not a problem. I'm impressed with how fast it is. It would be better if it loaded the album cover and song list automatically. I recommend this app though. Keep up the good work

The app description clearly states which cd drives it supports....I bought a Hitachi GP95 unit, and it works perfectly....load a disc, Gracenote identifies the album and tracks, and lists them. You then have the option of playing the disc straight through your phone, ripping it straight to your phone's memory, or writing data onto a writable disc...couldn't be simpler. Great app, but you MUST use an approved disc driver, or it won't work.....read through the app description for specific models.

Works decently for playback of audio CDs and data disks. I haven't yet tried extracting audio or burning any discs yet, but I will update when I do. The eject disc button is not as intuitive as it should be. A plus symbol usually means to add something, so using that as an icon for an eject button is confusing. I would suggest the developer change this to a more recognizable symbol.

This app is genius by its idea, but it's lacking on the number of supported models of LG DVD/RW burners, I own an LG GP57, it's basically the same thing but it's not supporting it. Developers should go and improve the compatibility issues that forego with similar LG models.

does not recgnize dvd's or dvd drive .does not function with my LG peripheral dvd drive which is what this app is for. completely worthless like most LG products. Cyberlink software designed for this media player also doesnot work. don't buy LG proucts they never work right. disappointed again.
