    This app and the service have come a full 180 degrees. I got the service during the launch and it was really rough. As the service matured the bugs and capacity issues were eventually address and the interface was heavily overhauled once. Now it works great 98% of the time, and any issues are usually on the server side. So reviewing the app is easy, it's great and the interface is fairly easy to use. The picture quality is much better than Fubi, but I cannot speak to the quality of Sling.

    now There is an issue with the att tv app when you stream from the att tv app on your phone to a Google nest max screen. While your streaming the audio cuts out every few seconds and just starts and stops. The content I'm watching will play without any issues it's just the audio goes in and out. I have 3 screens and all the screens work with other steaming apps such as espn,dazn, and youtube tv to name a few. I have a great wireless connection in my home and I even have a Nest.

    super saturday night with lady gaga This app has real loading problems even after the updates. It's worse! I can't watch my prerecorded shows without loading issues. This is the only app that does that! This is a waste of my money PERIOD! I will be cancelling very soon since that ya'll can't get it together. Loading issues every night. Can't even watch the NBA Finals without it going out saying something went wrong every couple of minutes.

    app It was so good at first in February when they came out. Now all it does is freeze in the middle of live TV. Doesn't matter wgats channels. Want to watch your dvr instead. Forget about it. It doesn't let u do that either. There's no buffering issues it just freezes for like 10 min n come on for like 1 n freeze again. They been working on it for a month now n still nothing. Actually service has gotten worse. Youtube fubo philo and Hulu all work so it's definitely on they're side that needs fixed.

    login Does not work on my Pixel 3 XL since upgrading to Android 11. Whether on mobile data or WiFi, the app is constantly in a state of buffering. What's worse, I emailed the developer regarding the ongoing issue and have received nothing by way of a response. Useless app, and even non-existent customer service.

    tv now.t This app is terrible. I pay $80 a month so I can get the Yes network and i have to constantly uninstall the app because of technical problems. I reached out to them and that's what they told me to do. It's ridiculous!!!! I'm changing my streaming service today. Don't subscribe to at&t TV. They suck!!!! Just look at the reviews.

    at and t tvnow login Constant freezing and loss of sync when casting from phone to tv or streaming on my modern pc. For an upcharge, I can get additional boxes to hopefully resolve this issue for the TV's that don't have them. Was told by rep that casting from phone was basically the same as the box because the box is an android device. I'm on AT&T fiber 1000 (1G) plan so bandwidthis not the issue. Stability is not AT&T TV's strong suit. Left Youtube TV for this. 1.5 months on & the regret is setting in.

    packages Constantly freezes, especially during the ads while streaming saved videos. Was trying to watch Alone through the discover option but the ads freeze and take 4-5x longer than normal to play. On top of that, the same ad played 4x in a row freezing up the entire time. So bad it drove me to write this review. I'll probably move to Hulu after this experience and I've been using the app on my firestick for more than 2 years.

    now channels I'm actually surprised by some of the negative reviews that are said about the app. I, myself, have been using this app since 2018. Back then it was called directTVNOW. I've never had any issues with the app. I do wish there was NFL Network but there isn't. But I would recommend it to others. It has never frozen on me

    Brutal. The DVR function has been in "beta" mode forever. I don't know if it's just with live sports shows, but it won't fast forward properly, will take you back to a part of the game that you've seen already, and is just simply full of glitches. Buyer's remorse is in full gear.

    It was a good thing at first but now it's all bad I can't watch anything on this app it always tell me to refresh but it still doesn't work. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but no luck. The u-verse app and DirecTV app works way better than this and I have had all three services at some point. 👎🏾👎🏾

    Pause Rewind and Fast forward of live tv not working (fast forward from pause time to live broadcast) i should be able to pause and resume after a short time without missing anything but it starts the live show when I play it back and rewind isn't available (it is on my att tv device but not my phone) what use is pause if mute would serve the same purpose Edit it doesn't always go back to live it does sometimes resume playback but I'm then behind in the show and can't go back to live stream

    Great contents ! I can watch Live channels from DIRECTV without setting up any satellite or Set Top Box. Live programs can be recorded and can be restarted on most of the Live channels. The app can be set up on most devices out there (desktops, Macbooks, phone, Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Samsung TV, Chromecast, etc).

    The audio needs to be normalized from channel to channel and even commercial to commercial. I've blown my ear drums out because the audio will be low and then start screaming at you when the next commercial comes on. It's freaking awful. I should expect nothing more from att though.

    Never works. Every time I log in, it takes me back to the login screen. I have remove and reinstalled multiple times and it hasn't helped. AT&T's digital offerings, including the website, is terrible. Waste of an app.

    I can't change my password on the app after I got a new phone. I have to wait 24 hours to reset my password. It's very disappointing and can't believe they would do this. Just wish AT&T would actually let their customers be able to do things without preventing them.

    Can't log in, even after checking ATT ID and resetting password multiple times. I suspect it's an issue of Uverse vs. DirectTV, but they don't explain it anywhere I've seen. Wasted way too much time on this garbage.

    Although I've been enjoying this app on my other android devices I can't understand why it's not available on all devices. I have a Fire HD 10 tablet that this app is not available on. This app is available on my Firestick TV. Is there a reason this app isn't available for my tablet?

    We got AT&T TV spent all our time trying to get it hook it up to our tv. We had this AT&T TV 3 weeks. Taken all 3 weeks hooking and trying to keep a connection to watch it . Will never ever recommend AT&T TV!!!!!

    This app sucks!!! It is very slow to load. If you are watching a series you can not rewind to where you were last. It automatically jumps to the next episode. Now that I finally got it running. There is a white stripe across the top of the screen. ...... I just watched 36 commercials trying to get to the place I last watched. Do people who developed this app read these?

    I get messages about reaching my streaming limit or "try closing the app on other devices signed into your account" and can't access anything. This is ridiculous. I know I'm not trying to use more than 3 streams at one given time. When I try to access it I have no more than 2 streams going. Why pay for this/keep this when I can't access what I'm paying for? This seriously needs to be fixed! I think there's too many ads, they need to be cut down some. Also doesn't save where I left off on shows.

    I have always been able to give this app a 5 star rating until now. I originally had service with the Direct TV Now 3 yrs for $25 mo. When it changed over to AT&TTV, it was a smooth transition, that was $45 mo. Now that AT&T made updates to this app my service totally sucks! Now I'm charging $60 mo, for crappy service. Since the new app update, my screen freezes every 5-10 min, I have unlimited Verizon svc, a newer GalaxyA51, re-instld more than once w/ no improvmnt. Looking for new provider, 😭

    8/7/2020 @AT&T TV Latest Update works well. Channel load times are still a bit long still in the 5-20 second range, and buffering still takes up to 20 seconds or so to level out but overall much improved. Even with that minor inconvenience the picture quality and sound has improved....A LOT. It's nice that the audio and video match up better now so that I don't feel like I am watching an old Godzirra movie. Before it's offered as a possible solution, I have a blisteringly fast connection and Netflix for example loads as if I have the videos stored locally. Also the Pluto TV app loads channels as fast as OTA channels do with almost imperceptible buffering. In other words, it's instant. Ironically, also free. Now the real complaint.....I purchased an NVIDIA Shield. LOVE IT. makes my FireTV scream in fear from it's overwhelming inability to keep up with NVIDIA Shield. But NO AT&T TV App available.'s available...just not for the Shield. C'mon Guys! Unlock It! I was looking forward to increasing my standing (Over a year) 3 star review...but Alas I cannot until I can enjoy your app on my NVIDIA Shield.

    Att trying to sell this as the future but I rather stayed with uVerse. Wish Att worked to improve already good service uVerse rather than introducing a new Google service under Att name. Simple information like another showing time or Cast Information are not available any more. And of course with new Att-Tv you have to give Google access to listen and record voice of everyone at home, living room, bed room. Bye Att-Tv service.

    On the phone, this app really sucks. This is more about the functionality of the program, not the interaction within the app...getting around in the app is fine. At home, it is fine. I wonder if this will improve with 5G. Probably not...I'm at home on my wifi network and it still can't handle it. AT&T, just don't offer it as an app for the phone or tablet if you are going to be this bad on portable devices.

    NOTHING LOADS on Android 10, I try clicking a channel and it keeps loading with that damned blue pulsing line, I force stopped the app, restarted it, a million times and whatever I do, it still, will not load a single channel or video.     AT&T tv it is the biggest rip of, it runs off of their internet which bogs it down and you have to pay for that in addition to tv service so its essential double dipping on their part to offer two services only to have one run off of the other to the point that it affects the service of the internet.. Overall AT&T doesn't have any reliable services and they are terrible at any customer service and you are better off looking for alternative services.

    Whatever you do, DO NOT ORDER AT&T TV IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE! Their service is awful, their customer service is effectively non-existent, save yourself the frustration and hassle and go with spectrum or something. This app is fine, but our TV boxes at home barely work and they want us to pay $150 more for a WiFi extender. Nope, not gonna happen, I'll get one at best buy for a fraction of the price. I never had these problems with spectrum, but AT&T has a monopoly on this building so....

    Horrible. Several show stopping problems. Buttons are hard to activate for full screen. There is no picture in picture support (and not even background audio). Video window has black borders on top/bottom, and both sides. It's pathetic.

Went to a att store to pay the down payment for my phone so that didn't happen the lady that signed me up rushed through everything and made me a new Gmail and was not told of it. She did it her way and half a** I wanted the samsung galaxy a71. The store did not have any in stock was given this phone witch is a samsung galaxy s10 as a Temporary phone till my phone came in still no

    Must Improve Chromecast! I only use this app too cast it to my TV but there always seems to be an issue everytime I try to cast it to my screen. It doesn't connect at first or there is a "glitch".

    i have had AT&T now going on 1 1/2 years. I have had trouble from the very beginning up to and including today. I can now get it on my phone and just cast it to the TV (an older Samsung Smart TV, lol). That's all I can do! Fortunately, I can get the HBO Go app on it and can now watch GOT that way on my Samsung TV. It has been an absolute NIGHTMARE!!!!!

    as a totally blind user of TalkBack accessibility on Android, this update is phenomenal! it is blatantly clear that AT&t is listening to our feedback when it comes to accessibility. thank you guys. that means a lot! the only thing I would like to see is the ability to browse the guide and see shows that are upcoming. not just ones currently on the air. kind of like on the Android box. do that, and also implement audio description ability, and this app will be perfect!

    Absolute joke. I have now gotten the error code 50001-001 "sorry for the inconvenience" twice now since having this service. There is no number to call for help and troubleshooting, only a "chat" and I have been trying to chat with someone for over an hour to get this fixed and it keeps telling me the chat volume is higher than normal and to try again later. Absolutely horrible customer service!

    Constantly buffering on some channels. Sometimes freezing up and need to switch channels in order to fix. No matter how many times I chat with someone we always have issues. Just tired of paying for tons of equipment in order to watch TV with the other monopoly companies. So we basically stream everything. Maybe need to try another service. Have had the service since the direct TV days. You'd figure a large company like att would get it right?

    It back on track of being an enjoyable experience, now that we are pass the beta test. I'm presently goning through another freezing issue, reminence my beta problem. "I can't watch anything for more than 20 or 60 minute before the app freezes or stops playing all together." I also notice that apps like SiFi does not fully acknowledge my att&tv access. Is this an causality of the Directvnow switch over. Hopefully I can find an solution to the freeze.

    Constantly crashes/freezes. Deletes DVR programs autonomously. Doesn't delete old programs, but will delete your new recorded programs. The freezing though is making it almost prohibitive these days.

    When watching on Amazon fire stick, this app repeatedly freezes. DVR will also experience issues jumping around time index or just not playing beyond a certain point. I even replaced my Fire stick and the same thing happened. Clearing cache and memory does not help. Since I have no issues streaming other content on the Amazon stick, there is clearly something wrong with AT&T's implementation on this hardware. Additionally, video controls are counter-intuitive.

    Ugh! Nothing but loading wheel! I have to wait for commercials to load as well. Cant skip through ads, either! Seems like every 5 minutes of show there is anywhere from 4 to 7 commercials. If commercials don't load right on the last ad in series, the app loads all of them again! You watch all of them 2x sometimes 3x during 1 ad break. Sometimes more ads than programming. App is cumbersome to navigate. Contract for 1 yr, ATT gets money no matter how bad the app is.

    The Roku app isn't that great and the mobile app is even less impressive. For starters you can't leave the app and continue to watch, it immediately stops steaming. So if you like to multi-task, this is not the app for you. It's a shame because they've made some improvements to their mobile app and their v.o.d. and dvr stuff is much easier to stream/control now but the lack of freedom to view out of app really lowers it's appeal for me. The connection quality is also very poor.

    Whyyyyyy is my direct TV not working!! Everytime I try to long in it wont let me. It keeps saying it has to make a few more tweaks before it's ready. I PAY FOR THIS APP AND THE PRICE WENT UP BUT U GUYS CANT FIX THE PROBLEM. The customer service is absolutely horrible!! So who is it that I can get ahold of to fix this on going problem!!!! I was told when I signed up it would only be 10 dollars for the first 3 months then it would be 20. Now its 65 dollars and it DOESNT EVEN WORK!

    Had a great plan I was grandfathered into, and then they decided to have a payment issue, and blamed me for it. Which is the same card I use for everything, but after 2 years of being a loyal subscriber they do this to me? Moved on to Hulu, couldn't believe the difference in picture quality. HULU IS A WHY BETTER app, better picture quality, better sound, less errors and messed up sound becoming out of sync.

    As long as I had my direct app I enjoyed watching my programs now that we have the new AT&T TV it will not let me log in it keeps telling me to log in and watch but it will not accept my code. And due to the Covid-19 you cannot call and complain because you are on hold for 45 minutes or longer nobody comes to the phone to pick up.

    The app still behaves like a janky beta app from a startup company. Too many times this app messes up and ruins whatever I'm watching. If I change channels and then go back to the original channel, it's usually 3 minutes behind schedule. Changing channels multiple times has no effect on the original channel, meanwhile ever channel I change to keeps the correct schedule. It's quite infuriating to have the show I want to watch 3 minutes behind schedule from everything else that's broadcasting.

    I've had at&t tv for 3 years now. For the past year all it does is buffer and right in the middle of a movie it stops and I get error message sorry for your inconvenience. 50001-001. It's sad that I am paying for a service that mind you at the drop of a hat continues to charge more even though I was told I would only be paying $10 when I signed up. It continues to mess up.     I have a moto Z2 Force smartphone, a few days ago the new Android system update for Android 10 was released, I downloaded the update and ever since then all channels are black. Audio works, app works but my channels are all black. I've contacted support multiple times & they keep assuring me that it's being looked at & they'll get back to me, it's been a week still nothing! I emailed the developer contact email which I got from the play store & still haven't heard back! Spectrum app, same issue!

    My wife and I both have the AT&T LG V60(128gb), and neither of our att TV apps on our phones have worked correctly since att TV service purchase/activation.. Everytime we attempt to open the att TV app on either of our phones(both of which have different google accounts loaded) we receive a message saying the app needs updated. We then attempt update the app via our play store only to receive another message saying the app cannot be installed. Our phones have plenty of storage, and we constantly monitor our network/wifi signals.. Which means there's a app-software issue.. Fix ASAP, im payin very GOOD money for this option.

    Does not work on all Android TV models! Even though ATT's box is built with Android TV, even though ATT allows the app to run on a handful of Android TV models, and even though this app works on Android 5.0+ tablets and phones. Unfortunately I bought a new 50-inch 4K Android TV (model A515CV-UMC by Sceptre) specifically so I could watch my new ATT TV service without having any attachment dongles or boxes or computers, but I can't find this AT&T TV app in the google play store from my Android TV.

    This review is for the AT&T TV NOW service. They offer multiple tiers you can choose from and at the higher tiers they offer the most comprehensive channel lineup of any of the internet tv providers. They offer a generous amount of DVR space included. I haven't had any major technical issues while using it on my fire tv. I believe the product itself is excellent. But you do have to pay for that, its only downside is that it's a lot more expensive than other internet tv providers.

    Total waste of time... signed up in myatt app because their internet is my only real option... Not to signing up I was advised to download this app in sign in to start streaming. Well something went down with my subscription that after 3 hours who could not resolve resulting in me canceling the subscription in wasting almost half of my day... AT&T has never cared they will never care and they won't even bothered were tins like they care about the end user.. YouTube TV and hulu are both great

    Buffers,won't mute when you push the mute button ,rotates to upsidedown position or won't rotate at all to the expanded View . poor choice of channels. Price for basic Channels that is way too much for a small number of channels. Buttons to close on screen display. The app generally sucks!!!

    The Software can not recognize the system - I set it to show location. I can go shopping on the internet and they know my location however not AT&T TV. It was working well enough once upon a time. Now what is the problem I checked everything it asked for I tried doing it wireless then told me I was too slow I have way over 100MB/sec now after I went Ethernet (wired) to see if it quickened the pace I get pressed for location again it refused to continue forever asking for location whatever I do for AT&T I tried place after place I could find to share location some where there is a place to choose wireless or wired to show location its set to show location in every place I tried and tried and tried to find.

    the June 15th 2019 update made direct tv now even worse. The picture lags more than ever now and on every device. Its like watching and max headroom. The frame rate is far less than 25 frames per second. Edit: 1 year later, June 20th 2020. Still can't mirror cast without lagging.

    In home service; All local channels buffer multiple times throughout the day. Also channels go out at random while watching a show saying Don't have permission or lose connection w/ the Wifi!! Mobile app works 85% better.

    We tried to switch our package to include the food network and several channels. The agent changed it, but the app wasn't working along with that change. I hope we aren't charged for something we didn't have. Don't waste your time with this.

    AD SCAM, poor user experience. you will have to watch 3min of ads every 10 min of tv you watch. if you pause or rewind the show you will get additional ads. 1/3 of your paid for tv service should not be filled with ads. i recommend hulu, Netflix as a better option.

    Their tv quality is very good but if you have a problem forget it; the only chat you can use is a bot that doesn't help and don't bother calling customer service as they are apparently non-existent.

    Having AT&T Live is the worst decision I have made in ages. It's a 50 50 shot that your TV will come on. When you call service, they blame your internet connection. I get my internet from them! And then the lady tells me they don't send out technicians. Unbelievable . I wouldn't recommend this to anyone!

    From what would of definetly been a five for five recommend comes a 1 and wouldnt give it that at this point if it wasnt for the local news channels. With the removal, or unavailability, suddenly, of three primary channels from the lineup, Travel channel, RFDtv and A&E are the ones we have noticed. The primary reason we switched from cable to streaming were these channel availabilities.
