Definitely the worst streaming app on Android or ios. I have been a customer for 2 years (in spite of price increases) and literally every time I log it says there's an error and that they are fixing it. Once I force quit and finally get it to log in, 3 out of 5 times it says oops and that there's an error while attempting to connect to chromecast. This issue has been going on for 2 years. Does anyone who works on this app actually use it?

This a really good app. The scheduling is good and you can record a show. How many times you forget to record the game, just log in your phone to do it. I have never have been watching ATT TV app at doctors offices, people always want to know how and what I'm watching. It has closed caption for the hearing impaired. Functionally similar to previous version but I haven't had crash at all since the swithover. An improvement would be to have true pause or rewind 5 to 10 mintues

From last month my monthly payment has gone up $20 and nothing more is offered or at least nothing more that I even want. I record shows but it deletes them so fast that I never have a chance to watch them. I have had to search on many different apps just to catch up on shows I had scheduled to record on here that were deleted. If I'm able to find them on this app on on demand then I have to sit through at least 10 minutes of commercials just for a 20 minute show.

It worked fairly well when it was branded as the Direct TV Now app, but quit working shortly after the re-brand. Now, I receive constant 10006-008 errors. This is supposedly a "buffering" issue. With 500mbps internet connection?! I can stream 4K nearly instantly, and my ATT Now Roku has no problems... Switching to LTE 4G doesn't work, even with 100mbps rates. This app is obviously not being updated or supported any longer. ATT would prefer customers just slowly cancel ATT Now. Pathetic.

Was a lot better when it played live TV. If you're looking for an app that can show you the words "We're experiencing a temporary issue playing this content. Please give it a moment and try again" on every channel all the time, this app is for you. If you want to watch live TV, look elsewhere.

This is the worst Movie/TV app I've ever used. No way to fast forward or rewind, I'm pretty sure everything in existence, including VHS tapes in the 80s, has that technology. Fire everyone that came up with, designed, and approved this dumpster fire of an app, it's almost 2020 for the love of Brie.

Won't let me cast. I can only watch on my mobile device, there is an option to cast to chromecast device and it does but when you attempt to play it says the video is unavailable at the moment. We hope to resolve this soon, but it has been saying that for weeks. Very disappointing.

I am unable to cast any recording via chromecast. However, Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and the VLC media player can all cast all available content through chromecast. Not to mention, all together these services cost just 25 dollars (15 dollars bundled) per month versus AT&T TVs nearly 65 dollar per month with just an HBO addon. It seems as though AT&T is "just okay" which, for its price, is not okay...

I love this app. I've been with them since it was DirecTV Now. What upsets me is that they've bumped my rates twice in 4 months without any warning or notification. Because of this lack of respect for committed customers, I'm cutting ties with them and seeking new services.

My experience is horrible I was being billed for 17 months and 9 days I was double billed and had 2 accounts under one email how is that possible I have no idea. I contacted company and they refuse to give me my refund of my funds that I am entitled to. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone and if you have it I suggest you change for something better.

This app stopped working on my phone about a month ago. Everytime i select a show from the guide it gives a "we're experiencing a temporary issue playing this content" error. It still works fim on our Roku.

Price goes up and up and up, but the app still doesnt work. Super slow, buggy, constantly buffering. Used on samsung s9+ and roku. Not worth the hassle, membership canceled.

It works great when it's working. But it is unresponsive for the first several minutes after I open it. I keep pressing guide and nothing happens.

This has to be the worst app I've ever used for watching content. Half of the time, it's extremely slow. Whenever I try to stream something to my Chromecast, it tells me ive reached my streaming limit, but it will allow me to stream the same show on my phone??? I know no one else is streaming anything because the rest of my family hates the app as much as I do. I wouldn't be surprised if this is another way of AT&T trying to limit your speeds while charge full price. Go with anything but this.

Won't let me steam. Keeps freezing and mouth movements are so far off from what they are actually what they are saying. Commercial starts before the previous one is done talking.

So many episodes arent available as soon as they air, sometimes taking 24 hours to be available. If you DVR the show, sometimes it wont play. When using the search option, the movie or show doesnt appear; you have to go to the network page and scroll to find it. It increasingly becoming not worth the irritation or money. Most of these issues started around the time of the name change from Direct TV Now and it's not an all inclusive list of issues. Yes my app is updated.

Still doesnt work!!!! 4 phone devices, 2 tvs and roku. Its always. Hmmmm taking longer than expected retry or find something else. Plus i cant watch recordings. Chay support is no help. No wonder why they dont have a phone number to call them. This is bull. Have yet to find a working channel. i want my 70 bucks back. And i got an email. Theyre doing another rate increase!!!!💩💩💩

What is happening?!? Was doing ok, not great. Now I can only watch it by casting it from the app on my phone instead of using the fire stick app on the TV. It just buffers and never starts. Or I get the message about too many people streaming though I'm the only one using it. SIGH! This needs to be fixed ASAP. Not sure if this happened after the last update. Fix please! Not getting the full service I'm paying for.

I originally switched to DirecTV Now (ATT TV Now) because it was a less expensive alternative to cable. we've had 6, yep 6, rate increase in the last 3 years. it's now just as expensive as any cable company out there. looks like we're going back to Sling.

The prices are going up yet again. When I first started streaming it was $45.00. I just received an email that in Dec it will be $60.00. Its not worth it. I probably watch about 4 to 5 channels. It takes forever for the channels to load and I can not get the full descrption on whatever movie I'm trying to watch

Started off great. Love the recording function and everything else. But, within the last month the audio and video likes to separate and the audio ends up ahead of the video. We have an all new roku and new router and updated our internet. It's really annoying when it happens 4-5 times a day. Please look into this issue. Thank you

This app and the whole service is a disgrace. Streaming constantly fails on chrome. 1.5 years ago the app said chromecast support was coming soon for DVR. Is it here now nope....The app is underdeveloped for the cost of the service. Do yourself a favor go take the YouTube TV free trial instead. I thought that app had's light years away from this piece of trash. I'm in product management, this app is trash.

AT&T killed this service. Once they bought this or merged with direct tv, the service fell apart. Screen freezes, bogus connection errors and messages and loss of content. I have never seen a product or service self destruct so qucikly or spectacularly as direct tv did once it became AT&T TV. It is nothing but frustration now.

Update 11/11/19 chromecast problems are back and is useless currently. Update 7/30/19: A useable product! slight buffering issues some of the time but much improved casting! update 06/28/19: casting issue with chrome cast mostly fixed. I can actually watch something all the way thru sometime now. + 1 🌟 still a glitches that ruin the watch experience. original: Fix casting issue!!!

The app takes forever to load crashes frequently and has connection problems that competitors do not. Even when used with AT& t's amazing 5Ge lol. The service was severely diminish for new customers, every couple of months I receive a email about something being removed. It's been a year-plus since I've received any positive news. This app layout is absolutely horrible. After about 3min I was so frustrated I canceled my trial. Stuff streams in horrible quality as well. I dont understand how every other video app can play HD no problem but this app can not handle it and is like watching a slide show. If you guys want some insights on what's wrong with your app I'd be happy to tell you more because It's that bad.

This app sucks badly and has lag and buffering. Why make the prices go up if you can't fix this issue? Netflix does not have that problem, but this app is trash and don't waste you're time with this. It will lag and buffer like crazy and they charge you $135 for a max package, AT&T TV, please renew this software or just through it down the drain, it is not the wifi companys problem, you already make us pay for that to in order to use this garbage app. Make it $19.99 a month with a 100 channels.

I'm seeing a WHOOOOLE lot of complaints. I had the DirectTV app and that worked great for the most part. Lately, I've been experiencing glinches, where the TV pauses and repeats the last 3 seconds over and over again. I also just added on HBO. AT&T, you may want to fix this fast and in a hurry. I love being able to watch and record my favorite shows on the go, but there are way to many other options.

This app is now not working at all. It sucked when it was direct tv now, but it worked. As I'm looking at these reviews, looks like the AT&T merge may have just increased the Sling market share. I have been a direct tv now customer for over 2 years. I actually left sling because they didn't have enough football. Looks like I will be going back... Always unfortunate to loss your customers over the lack of technology, especially in 2019... smh. You gotta do better AT&T.

Worst app ever!!! Logs you out when you try watching on demand. My Library isn't always available. I can't believe how inconvenient this app is for being a part of such a giant company. This is insane! You'd figure they'd know how to work the bugs out by now. Playstation Vue is looking real nice right now, they NEVER had any silly issues. Only reason we switched was because Playstation Vue wasn't airing Viacom anymore but strongly considering going back.

Ive been trying to cancel this service for 16 months now after moving and not being able to access it. There are no phone numbers for help, online chat doesnt work. I enter all my passwords, and it just kicks you out. To date they've taken $560 from me for a service i cant use. I literally had to pay for a stop payment at my bank and finally close my card altogether to protect myself. Lmao... No stings attached... False advertising there.

Since AT&T took over I can no longer access or load on demand content. If it not only the DVR we can't watch it.

This service used to be decent but with a 50% price hike in less than a year and getting rid of the 100 hour DVR upgrade, it's just not as good. If you NEED Viacom channels (AT&T is the only streamer to have them), then I say stay. But if not, look elsewhere.

This app recently switched from DirecTV Now to AT&T TV. Since the switch we have had nothing but problems with the app. There are times when it will not switch shows, when it says there are already too many devices streaming (even when none are), and when it will not connect to Chromecast. We've experienced the same problems on multiple devices.

Being a pay service, it's not that great. When casting, it crashes or the sound gets out of sync with what is on the screen. Have to change channels or close and re open app to get sound back in sync. Been this way for several months, since it was directv now. I've uninstalled/re-installed. Also sent requests to customer support several times with no answer. Pluto TV, Redbull TV (both free), NBC sports & Netflix give no issues when casting and are more user friendly. About ready to drop it.

I've had great experience with the streaming but here is where you may have problems. When you stream using your cellphone, the best service to use would be either AT&T or Verizon. You can also use T-mobile if you purchase a current phone to take advantage of their combined network. For home use, I have gigabit speed which has no delays but for home use, you should have at least 200Mbps to be at a comfortable level with connection to the service. This app has changed for the better over time.

Prices have stayed same or gone up but # of channels have dramatically dropped off. Since everyone has/will have a streaming service, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Disney has ESPN(s) and all its Networks, TV Shows, and Movies including ABC & Freeform to name a few. AT&T owns all the Time Warner HBO, CNN, TBS, TNT and much more. Viacom CW, MTV, VH1, TruTv and more. NBC has a streaming service coming in 2020. Netflix will lose more TV&Movies and do more originals. It's crazy🤪

I just bought an AT&T wireless 17.3 inch Samsung Galaxy View 2 tablet, which I love. I don't love that the TV mode - which cannot be disabled - is specifically linked to AT&T TV. My wireless plan comes with AT&T Watch TV but TV mode cannot be linked to that service. The Galaxy View (18.3") has a similar entertainment mode. I really like that one because it can link whatever streaming services I use, not one specific service that requires a paid subscription. Boo to you, AT&T, boo.

I recently had a problem with shows blacking out then really slow reception and stuttering audio, I would have to change channels and then go back to the original, they rebooted my firestick and it's been a week and I have no streaming capabilities on 2 TVs and 2 fire sticks, but I can stream on my phone and they dont know how to fix it, but they did bill me again today even though they havent got back to me since monday after promising to fix it or get back to me,

Horrible, we are down to one device that can still view our active subscription. All the others are giving various errors. Even when it works it's one of the most user unfriendly apps I have seen in the last 5 years.

It was a good app, now it just buffs all the time. I'd give it 1 star but I dont pay much for it as I came on in the beginning. still bites that you want to raise the price on LOYAL customers, yet you aren't hold up your end of the contract for paying on time. should reimburse the customer everytime we cant get on when you all are at fault. I bet s*** would get fixed quick if you were penalized. Update-the app for mobile and tv suck! I thought it would get better that it turned to AT&T TV--NO!

Loses Sync With TV and Fails Too Often. This app used to work better, but now it only works about 25-40% of the time with Chromecast. I now have to restart my phone to get the app to sync to the TV. For the last three days, it hasn't worked at all: All I get is a "Something Went Wrong" error on Chromecast. Netflix and YouTube work fine. It's just the AT&T TV Now that is terribly unreliable.

Chronic sound issues -- that is, no sound on any channel when using Chromecast. Regardless of device or TV I'm casting to. Also, for unknown reasons, the Android TV version of this app only works on the Amazon fire stick. Not available for any other Android TV device. I assume they're trying to force me to buy one or a Roku. Is this why you guys are bleeding customers?

Since this app switched from DirecTV Now to AT&T TV, it has regressed to a deplorable state. Sound sync problems and stuttering are common. DVR has bugs when setting up recordings, especially of new episodes. Casting to Chromecast keeps saying that you have too many streams open, even though you were just watching on the phone. The list goes on. The worst part is that this behavior also occurs in it's website. Customer service is incapable of helping because they are not the programmers.

The UI is very clunky, but the real reason for 1 star is that this is the worst streaming service I've ever used. It buffers more than it plays. It is atrocuous for casting; the app doesn't seem to know that it's casting so it is constantly reloading the play screen. This in turn renders you unable to use any of the controls. If you try and do anything else with your phone while streaming the app reboots entirely when you switch back and you have to reconnect to your chromecast. Unwatchable.

If I could give it negative stars that would be more appropriate. Why you ask? Try your app for yourself and experience why. It SUCKS ASS! Volume on the advertisements is double what the volume on the show you're trying to watch, which would blow the speakers on a budget TV, is my main complaint among many. The only reason I use it is because I have been paying for the service for 2 years without being able use it well or get out of the contract for the DirecTV app that barely worked.

Way too expensive for the channels I am not getting. Buffers and loads too many times. You miss half the show waiting for the app to recover!Have had several days and times it didn't work at all. I wish i could give this app zero stars. Ever since the att takeover this app is TERRIBLE. It crashes constantly. It stutters, it won't play. The list of problems with it goes on and on. Are you fixing the problems because at this point even though I get a discount on this app for being an att customer I will cancel and pay extra to spectrum to get quality service.

Update - after several months, still no fix to the missing audio when casting. New issue now is that I have an app on Fire TV that keeps logging me out!!! Will be switching to a different service, this ATT TV is not worth the time or $. Audio for TV does not work when casting to Shield TV, it does however work for on demand tv. Also, recorded TV does not work with casting. Lastly, why isn't there an app for Shield TV

Too many commercials on top of commercials. If I have to watch 120 seconds of commercials every 7 minutes fine but don't throw an extra 120 seconds on right after the first completes. It's not a glitch, it's bullsh** and it happens repeatedly. Just a way to make some extra money.

Trying to restore my account (I suspended it during NFL off-season) and every time I enter my sign-in and password on the app, it asks if I want to restore purchases and when I choose OK it loops back to the log in to do again. I can't access my account to restore it on the app. And when you go to the site it directs you to the app. Needs to be fixed.

Every since it switched from Direct Now to AT&T TV the app has been GARBAGE! Constant buffering, sound problems all day, kicks off network or juss completely drops, works about %20 of the time at BEST! Thought is was my internet service until they came out to fix and discovered its the APP! Not worth it anymore will cancel service. Horrible App! Don't do it!

Now that the app is AT&T TV, it is almost unusable. Shows cut in and out. Casting is nearly impossible. It plays all of the commercials, then crashes and stops playing when your show comes on. Then what, rewatch all the commercials again to watch your show. Terrible. Go back to DirecTV now.

App crashes and closes unexpectedly. Can't watch a half hour program without it crashing multiple times. I don't know if it is because the area I live but the channel lineup is different compared to when I lived in Denver.

Occasionally during commercials the service stalls or has to be restarted by closing app which is very annoying. Some channels do it more often than others. Otherwise a decent app and great customer service. The price has gotten a bit high, especially the add ons going up by $10 seems unnecessary and according to social media many unhappy customers.

I do not like the blue area that appears stating that I'm watching through the app and that my mobile data isn't affected yet my mobile data is affected. It cuts off what I'm watching and is annoying. Also some shows the VOD cuts off a min or so if the time vs when I watch from the station app. Other than that I haven't had any issues with it.

There is an issue when casting to a Google Chromecast, whenever two people in the house are streaming to separate TVs, one always get the message saying too many devices are streaming(2 stream limit). At this point you have to close apps on both phones, restart the Chromecast on the TV with the message, wait ten minutes and pray to God the app will then correctly cast to your TV. At this point you just take over the TV that was originally streaming this app.

I love this service BUT my problem is when watching on demand on my phone if I pause it instead of it continuing it plays another 4 to 5 commercials then ads for the channel. If I have to pause I wind up not even finishing what I was watching. PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS & I WILL GIVE IT 5 STARS

I have had this app for about a month, it has grood shows , live tv ect, but my only complain is ads, for $50 a month i feel like I'm paying for is to watch ads. You get 120 sec of ads spread out on the show 6 times . It gets very annoying especially when a show is 30 mins long . I d k i just might cancel my subscription and just stay with Hulu tv

Frustrating and annoying. This app is the worst streaming app available and it's for its own service. Live TV is almost unwatchable after commercials. It has to be constantly recasted through Chromecast. I have contemplated getting rid of the service entirely because of this app. I pay $50+/month to be frustrated? I think not.

The worst internet tv out there. 20 hour dvr. And the recordings audio/video didn't sync downhill ever since it changed from DirecTV to at&t now

Ever since DirectvNow changed their app to AT&T TV it has sucked majorly! Especially, if you try to have cloud recordings. The app won't work playing back shows ( keeps giving me an error message saying the provider won't let me playback in my particular location) or cast to devices like my Google Chromecast.

This app is terrible on every platform. This app sucks on my phone this app sucks on Apple TV this app sucks on my Samsung TV. Anything I try to watch it tells me the content has had an issue and can't play. Fast-forwarding anything outside of 5 minutes is super slow. Watching things from your library is pointless because it constantly says there's an issue with the content and restarts the entire show so you have to literally fast forward through the incredibly slow. Don't waste your time!

Not connecting to CHROMECAST!! Every other app I connect to my chromecast is playing with no problem, but of course just in time for football season, this app is not connecting at all! Just shows a black screen & then goes back to showing on my phone. I'm switching sooner than later! So disappointed with AT&T!!

It's about time you stop recording in beta form . Also for the pricy cost of your service , add full service Boomerang channel to your line-up. You app often glitches by making this loud vibrating noise while watching shows. Hopefully doesn't ruin my tv because of this. vibrating noise glitch.

Worst app and customer service. Account to be billed in 5 days and get a message that my package is no longer offered and upgrade to start reviewing current subscribe channels. Wait message said 1 min and been on hold over 12 mins. Terrible, just terrible app to have!

The $70 package just went to $80 and on top of that it does not have quiet a few channels, A&E, Discovery, History, just to name a few. And to pay over a dollar per channel seems a little expensive when i can't get the channels i prefer to watch. This is becoming a rip off

Just use Netflix and save yourself the headache. This App is good at buffering all the time so you will see a spinning circle in the video player all the time instead of Simpsons or whatever you watch. Alos the UI lags in everything you try to do, even on the best of phones.

When it was direct now service was good, now that the updated software has been installed as at&t I have had nothing but problems. Also why are we losing local channels but prices are not decreasing, if anything they are going up.

App does not work on a brand new android device. Keeps saying wait and try again at a later time. NOTE: If you are on a chromebook watch using the chrome browser, which seems to work fine. Would be nice to have the app though.

Pretty decent replacement for basic cable, but good lord, please stop playing the same commercials over and over and over and over, it makes me want to discontinue service. Seriously, you will play the same commercials two or three times in one break, it is so annoying.

Very slow when changing channels. Very slow on Roku, or just doesn't work at all. I feel like I'm paying for bad service. Who wants to pay $ for something you don't get? How is this technology so terrible when there are so many good streaming services out there? Will be canceling.

Latest update from a few days ago causes the playback on TVR items to be glitchy.....more than usual. Have to constantly reopen and FF to where the stream left off, then skip past the part that gets stuck. No point in uninstalling because its happening on all devices

UI needs all the help it can get. Usually unable to change the channel after 30min or so and often get audio delays from previous commercials which transfers to the content I'm viewing.

Recordings do not play reliably in chrome browser, deleted another one today. Cannot cast recordings from android. Program guide font light gray is difficult to read. At&t tv now ... not a good choice. Can't get it to your big screen without buying extra hardware.

This app sucks so much. It was so good for the first few months and just recently it stopped playing the channels I wanted to watch. I don't get why direct TV merged with at&t, before they merged it was perfect.

Cant get the sports I want to watch tttthrough this app..I live in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA am a Raiders fan,and rarely get any of their games in my area..(predominant LA market).thus none of local channels OF CBS /FOX dont show. RAIDERS GAMES, unless they're against Rams or Chargers.. Thus your app doesnt air/stream games outside CA ,either!.. wich means if it's not SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL ON NBC OR MNF ON ESPN..I cant watch my team..

Used to work perfectly, now the guide won't populate, DVR shows won't play, other unrecorded shows say "refresh", service hardly ever works over wifi, not a good cable replacement. App made several improvements since my last review.

This app is insane. AT&T is a phone company and should not try to catch up with TV & Media industry. This app needs some serious fixes to be competitive in the current fast paced environment.

I have had nothing but problems from day 1 with dvr servises for 2 years. So much for phone conversations. There isnt any. Now you want to raise my rates again. I have seen 2 huge price hikes now.

Worst app ever!!! It was so much better before At&t got their hands on it. My app buffers all of the time. I attempted to call At&t but they were sure it was my internet. This app costs entirely too much for it to be this bad.

When they switch my app plays fine for about 30 mins the gets stuck in a 1 sec loop. Have to change channels. Also video also loses track with sound and have to change channels. Never had these issues until it switched.

So now I get notified of another price increase. I'm leaving. DVR is buggy and keeps getting stuck, won't play right. Time to look elsewhere. Not paying $60 month for this service.

This app is incredibly frustrating to use. Chromecast only works about 50% of the time because it thinks there are too many streams on the account when when no other apps are using the account.

Not available for Android TV. Unable to cast and if it cast, no sound available. Also keeps adding cost, soon will discontinue use if it doesn’t gets fixed.

Do not sign up for their service. You can be watching something and then receive an error in the middle of the program. Then your program is gone. Poor quality all the way around. There are other streaming services around. Choose one of them.

Terrible! I can't cast from my phone to my Nvidia Shield when it does there is no audio at all. Wish there was a app for Android TV but there isn't so extra steps. Needs a huge improvement.

t really doesn't work that well. And the constant price hikes, heck at what they want to charge now I can call any cable company in the country and get my internet included! Chat support only. And a 20HR DVR limit is pretty lame.

This app stinks. All it does is keep you in a loop telling you to reactivate it over and over. The app doesn't work. You oay premium money for nothing. Rip off in the bigest way!

I plan to cancel. Often goes out or continues to scroll. Too expensive for me. It currently costs more monthly than my cable charge thru Verizon. Not worth it for the stations I watch. I am planning to try other streaming options. Thank u.
