9 \ 10 "If you enjoy dark sci-fi themes and like a challenging RPG with some roguelike elements, then look no further than Dead Shell.” / Christine Chan,

Blaster-wielding mercenaries vs beasts from the labyrinth: who will win? You're commanding a die-hard assault squad. Destination: Plutonia, a settlement on a Doom-4 class planet. Shuttle cargo: a range of lethal weapons, from axes and chainsaws to blasters and BFGs. Anything might come in handy in Plutonia, the Federation's most remote colony.

Scientists, miners, guards – all sorts of civilian personnel worked there until recently. A week ago, the Center received a mayday signal from the settlement. Demonic roars and screams of terror filled the comm channel, and then it fell dead silent.

It's time to descend into the infernal abyss and show the demons who's the boss here. Fight your way through all the circles of hell to reach the very bottom. Look cosmic evil in the face and emerge victorious.

Game features:

- A new dungeon every time;
- Hellish bestiary;
- Full range of weapons;
- Elite mercenaries;
- Level up your squad.

    Spending first hour, so far the game balance with the number of ads no so over burden, the classic looks of rpg element, music theme that nostalgic, its good and balance, of course the ads is there to support the dev, and the offer is tempting but im not reach that part yet, so far either the mechanism or the looks is perfect, just gave this game a chance guys.

    Ok, so this game is pretty fun and very engaging. The gameplay is simple but it never really gets boring. I have two large issues: #1, this isn't a roguelike. You shouldn't advertise this as a roguelike if you don't restart the run once you die. I came in with a lot of expectations that were sort of flipped. #2: the scout is REALLY overpowered. She can charge her own special, which heals, gives money, and grants DNA. Furthermore, her health is incredibly high and she buffs a wonderful weapon.

    I thought it would be a good game but after the first few levels it becomes apparent it turns in to your typical money sink and waiting game. This isn't your traditional roguelike game. Low drops, high damage to your character, little health and upon getting a game over you can spend their in game currency to revive or take the game over. At that point in time your forced to wait a set amount of time to play as that character again.

    I enjoy the concept of this game, but I feel like there is false advertisement in this game. It says any purchase will disable ads. I purchased something in this game and I'm still being riddled with ads. If anyone is interested in purchasing something just to disable ads like me, be warned that your money will be wasted. Edit: Time to add more details and lower my score even more. I sent this company 2 emails detailing my problems and even gave them 2 days to reply to me. I still have not received a reply from this company at all. Worse even, I've asked Google to refund me because my purchase was falsely advertised and they declined me since I've waited over 48 hours to request a refund. Second Edit: Ok so I finally got a response. Paying for this game only remove ads you get inbetween missions (Which I don't recall ever having before my purchase) but you still have to watch ads to get double XP, a second loot drop at the end of missions and double loot box rewards. The last two ones are keys for surviving this game because you need loot boxes to get stronger weapons and you get them so rarely you're better off doubling your reward to decrease how long it will take to get stronger. I'm still convince the "No ad" advertisement is not well advertised because I thought it would remove all ads but it only removed the one form of ad out of four.

    Came back after 2 years and the game has improved greatly. Attacks hit way more often and the damage output has increased. DNA has a higher drop rate which is awesome since last time I played it was practically non existant. Still upgrades are way too expensive and makes it to where you'll have almost 2,000 pieces for a weapon before you'll have the chance to upgrade it. I have almost 450 pieces for my assault rifles, but I can't upgrade because it's too expensive.

    The game is really good, but am giving one star due to devs lying on microtranstion page. They claim that buying any one of them will remove the ads. It does not. Otherwise it would be 5 star Update: Don't be fooled by their 'clarification'. There are no ads of the nature they claim (at least I encountered none in over 10 hour playing), it is simply a flagrantly false claim.

    You've successfully chased me off. Dying in rogue-like games is the whole point, and if I could do a little grinding on a previous level for xp and ammo I'd be fine. But if there's a way to replay a level you've hidden it well. So my options are to sit around for a minimum of 5 minutes (even after watching an ad to speed this up) waiting for my characters to be usable again, or to go do something else. So I've chosen to do something else. Maybe not the best way to hook new players.

  8. 007bistromath-avatar

    I really liked this game at first, but once you unlock too many enemies with damage resistances, most stages become unwinnable without rare ammo, and most of the characters are useless. The Trooper's ability is worse than useless; if you use it on corpses, you're cheating yourself out of health pickups. Also, I don't think the flamethrower is actually in the game. I'm almost to level 500 and I've never opened one, even the basic type.

    It's been fun, but the repetition gets to me after a while, ship fully upgraded, cleared 300 sectors. Can you add a different game modes? That would add to the fun and variety.

    Lackluster, at best. Ads at almost every interaction with the UI, repetitive and uninspired game play, poor loot balance, zero storyline, and an obvious cash grab from an underskilled development team. On the positive, it could have been an interesting hybrid of Xenophobe and Gauntlet if it weren't so terribly balanced and designed solely to be money hungry.
