Reviews From google play store

I must also say Thanks for creating this app. Since I have shifted from Google Suit to Yandex, I was facing lot of challenges in managing my calendar. But with your app, you have made my life way easy and convenient again.

I wanted to replace carddav sync + caldav sync with this app, but unfortunately DAVx5 does not sync relations from my address book with my fastmail account. (Carddav sync does)

Using it to synchronize contacts and calendars from Fastmail and Google, everything works great!

It's simple, and it just freaking works. I can use my Nextcloud calendars on Android, yay! 5/5 would buy again.

Been looking for an app to replace Smooth Sync for Yahoo. This works😀👍It took 30mins for me to get it running. (Caveat- only been using it one day)

Thank God... finally my woes of calendar sync (hosted on SOGo) are over, and I'm not forced to host email on the big tier companies who refuse to adopt CalDav. Worked flawlessly instantly. I sync outlook via the free outlook extension CalDav Syncroniser through DAVx5 on my phone... more than happy to pay the modest price. Thank you thank you thank you!!

every time i reboot my phone and tablet the syncing reverts back to "manual only".. very annoying having to remember to set it after a reboot.

Moved myself from Google to a Radicale server, this is an integral part of that for Android. Works great, worth it.

Working with Synology CardDAV. Took a bit of work, but got there eventually. Seems robust so far.

Works great with Fruux. Wish it had a backup/restore for moving between devices but it's easy to set up.

This app is the best kind of boring. Works well, no unnecessary bells and whistles. All software should be like this.

If you decided to take control of your calendars back from Google/Microsoft/Apple etc and self host, this is essential.

Works well with Zimbra open source sync contacts, calendars and tasks

This app shouldnt have to exist, there is no reason for it not to be a default android feature. At least it does the job as expected.

Works perfectly with Nextcloud 15.

Seems to work very well. I don't regret the money. However, there are still some issues which I don't know if they're caused by DAVx5. The main one is that postal address in contacts is not syncinc. Well, It was synced for the first time but whenever I edit it, either on the server side or on my phone, the change does not appear on the other side. Changing the address type (Home/Work) works fine but the content of the address does not. This is, however, something I probably can live with. Any help would be appreciated.

(installed in a HUAWEI P20 Lite or ANE-LX1)Just PERFECT with Yahoo and its Calendar ! Actually, after trying many applications failing to sync in read/write mode with YC, I ended with DAVdroid as their web page says that it has been successfully tested. It failed to connect when I tried for the 1st time. Simply because Yahoo has a 2-step security system and if it is activated, you need to generate in your Yahoo Account a special password. But it is explained in their web pages. Their support has been very reactive, and they gave the right path. Now, all event created either in my smartphone or PC are very well synchronized, read and write (you can create/modified events it will be updated both ways).

Throws sync errors with Nextcloud 15.0.7... something about missing ETags. Server side reports fatal errors of "calendar object with uid already exists in calendar collection." That said, it does seem to sync partially (calendar/tasks, but not contacts).

My smartphone would be useless without DAVx. I have been using it since when it was called DavDroid. Like since 4 years now. Since I do not use the calendar from Google (I'm using fruux) I needed a way to connect it to my phone. Only DAVx does the job properly. It also does integrate contacts list, and it can be configured to use the contacts' "category" field to make groups on the phone. Priceless. Bonus: you can use your ownCloud/nextCloud caldavs, even with self signed certificates.

I bought CardDav, CalDav and struggled to get them working seamlessly with my Nextcloud installation. Even though those are good apps they just needed a bit too much finessing as I moved from one phone to another. I have been using Davdroid for years and it's made my world an easier place. Thanks for the good work and continuing to add features AFTER you had my money.

DAVdroid actually works with my synology NAS. (DSM 6.12, DS3615xs firmware). The video showed several calendar apps, including business calendar 2, A+ calendar, and another one (?). Business calendar would be my best choice. Events and tasks on my cellphone are synchronized to my NAS within 1 mins. The setting of Google calendar in DAVdroid is more complicated. I will recommend to business calendar 2 to auto sync between your google calendar and smartphone. DAVdroid is a simple tool to sync between your smartphone and your NAS (synology calendar). You may not use google calendar all of your life. That's why I decided to buy it.

Once created, account URL cannot be changed anymore. since that's why I bought the app (got somehow the impression that it is possible) this app is not better than free apps. UI is more polished, but constantly nagging about 'scheduled sync' despite being told 'no' several times already. all in all, nothing worth paying for.

Excellent app, relatively simple to configure, it's stable and syncs quite quickly. It was key in moving to privately hosted services and dump Google calendar, tasks and contacts, thereby reclaiming a big chunk of privacy and control over my data. Tried other connectors, none were as simple nor stable. Also really appreciate that 'family library' is enabled, so I could purchase the licence and install on my spouse's devices too. A widget to sync an account would be a really useful!

Works as promised. Highly recommended.

Ive been using this for years to sync my many different caldav calendars (work, google, oracle & nextcloud). It just works, all the time. And they still update the software constantly after all these years. Well worth the money.

This app does mostly what I need it to do. However it is mugging one main feature which is calendar attachments. My Synology NAS calendar can contain attachments but this will not sync them. Aside from that everything else is great.

this seems to be a stand alone component for alternative to cloud based everday tools. it is unclear if the legacy is a fresh compelling choice. i give it five stars for now and hope to fool with it someday further but for now and uninstalling.

Been using this for years now with NextCloud. It's not that hard to set up, and once you have it set up, it works flawlessly without any further interaction needed.

Excellent, essential app if you want to integrate calendars, tasks and address books (contacts) with your personal cloud storage. We use it with SOGo and Nextcloud.

I am using the app for syncing my calender and contacts with my Nextcloud server. The app is worth it’s price – it does it’s job as expected for two years on my phone now.

Nice and consistent interface, works well and has regular updates. A must have for anyone who uses a caldav or carddav server.

Been using this app a few years now, has been working flawlessly. Just another step in saying no to the cloud.

After having struggle to get consistent updates from our sogo server onto my phone calendar, now it 'just works'. Thank you DAVdroid and bitfire

This app is amazing. love that I can control which devices are read only and which can be 2 way sync.

I'm using it with Nextcloud. It is easy and painless to set up and very reliable.

Works very well. Just remember to set settings for syncing interval or it will be manual only.

Helped me avoid the claws of the all-seeing-all-knowing "free cloud" and store my data on my own terms. Thank you for creating this awesome tool!

can't change event color it syncs the events but it doesn't sync the colours of events or at least with Google calendar..so it is useless for me this way

Excellent app. works as expected without any glitches.

It is easy to setup and is working with NextCloud.

Threw money away with this app. Trying to use the Synology cardDAV server with HTTPS proved impossible. Will search somewhere else :(

I am unable to add my Google account. I accessed the help pages and followed all the steps still have trouble.

Went from the free version in fdroid to paid version. Keep up the good work dev.

Easy to set up. Works quietly in the background.

Couldn't get it working with Huawei mate 9 to connect with Synology. Followed all instructions

Does not sync with Zimbra but the one from dmfs GmbH worked instantly.

use with a nextcloud server, flawless! connect and forget!

needed a way to put my yahoo calendar on my android phone. worked great. thanks

This app performs so well I forget I have it on my phone. Thanks so much for creating such a brilliant app.

just bought to support the fdroid version. i don't use Google play

Works perfectly with Nextcloud.

Okay, I had to delete the accounts that were using DavX5 and re-create them, but now I have the right calendar names and colors. But I notice my previous review got some upvotes, suggesting I'm not the only one who noticed the behavior I described.

Does not work with daylite. Says cannot fund server.

Couldn't have been easier to setup with my next cloud instance.

Didn't work for me. Sorry 🙏

It just works.

Nice

Perfect Androis CalDAV/CardDAV adapter!

just works

great

Last update fixed the sync issues I reported (sync stall, Android accounts reports good while no sync happened...) and a reliable progress bar is back. Many thanks. Still missing new Google Caldav auth and a sync all accounts button

Good job

works flawlessly

Ich hatte nach Jahren der Nutzung jetzt ausnahmsweise mal ein Problem. Der Support hat sich aber in Rekordzeit gemeldet und es läuft wieder alles. Würde gern 6 Sterne geben. :)

If you want control of your own data, this app, and (in my case, although it's not the only option) ownCloud, are the way to go.

Seit 5 Jahren anstandsloser sync mit meinem Server! Das letzte update auf 2.1. war grandios. Top entwicklung seit Jahren. Danke!

works seamless

This has become an important addition to my devices and works well with my Synology NAS.

The best client for CalDAV/CardDAV. Works perfect with radicale 2.x.

Superb APP for syncing with Radicale. It just works!

good

Keep up the good project 😉. Happy Nextcloud user and Nine(android email client).

Great project. Thank you for taking the time to produce this much needed addition to Android.

Amazing app. The developers are doing a fantastic job and listen to peolple requests.

Works, but tries to automatically sync throughout the day despite settings configured otherwise (sync set to manual, wifi only, and only on a particular wifi AP). Zero response from developer means annoying "failed to sync" alerts all day. Otherwise, works.

Everything is great just one question are u guys planning to have sync for notes for horde? Very important for us.

Works incredibly well with Fastmail. It's a "set it and forget it" kind of app. And last but not least, it's open source.

Very good app. thanks for the update, very much appreciated! 👍

Brilliant and everything works as expected. Set up is easy to understand.

Performance increase is perceptible. Solid app that works very well with my home Nextcloud instance.

Has worked without issues for years now.

SO good with Nextcloud Calendar and Contacts

Edit 2; After some time and email exchange's with their support, I have come to the conclusion that I had a bad install of yunohost (the app hosting nextcloud). Everything now works! App doesn't work with nextcloud v13 (from yunohost on raspberry pi3) despite full permission. Edit: Have reached out as requested;

Works flawlessly with my FastMail account. Just put my username and password and it just did its thing. My contacts and calendars work perfectly. Couldn't be happier!

Very good app for owncloud 8 with Android 8 device. Having some trouble with Android 5.0.2 device at the moment but that will get sorted out.

Update 07/2017 - Improved UX, no token error in quite a while. This is a really useful app that bridges a gap in Android's IMAP support.

Great app. Works as advertised no complaints.

Works flawless with nextcloud

Works perfectly with nextcloud

best app ... (owncloud user)

It works with SOGo contacts and calendar. So far no complains. Good job!

Didnt realise it was a sync app for other apps.

Works seamlessly. Very responsive with updates and support.

Great app. Works as expected.

Have been using for a long while but recently my calendar entries turn into long lines of text & number, (hex). I have to delete the account, the set it up again. This is very annoying and time consuming. Other than the issue above, Good app and a BIG help as is helps me sync my GMX email account across my two android devices and my PC

Very simple and robust solution that allowed me to access the calendars I need with Google's Calendar app.

I love this app. Never had any problem so far. Keep it going.

Supports two-way syncing with iCloud Contacts. Seems to be the only app that both downloads your iCloud contacts and also pushes local changes back to iCloud. This is what I was looking for.
