As an herbalist, and a local wild edible guide I've found this app to be very useful and work pretty well. I dont like that they took the ability away to delete plants, because now I have plants in my inventory with incorrect ID because I cant change it.. otherwise, this ap works surprisingly amazing. I'll be paying for it again this year.

apk Very disappointed by the ethics of this app, they appear to trick you into starting a 7 day free trial with an auto renewal, and then make it very difficult to cancel. The T&Cs state you must cancel 24 hours before renewal and the cancellation process (via email) takes another 24 hours - therefore you have to cancel 48 hours before the auto renewal in order not to be charged. It seems like there is a trick at every turn to charge you 19.99. I suggest you avoid.

picture this flower and plant identification This app is incredible! I was skeptical about how well it could really work, so I used it on plants I already knew. Within a second, it was able to correctly identify the plant every time! I love to learn about the world around me and I find myself taking pictures of all sorts of plants. It does fungi too! Great app for a curious mind! I was most impressed when I took a picture of our shriveling day lilies. Took a pic of the leaves and it identified as Orange Day Lily and gave care instructions!

picture this flower and plant identification apk Like previous reviews, I'm not sure if it automatically subscribed me or not. I did n Not want to be subscribed! The subscription page practically attacks u the 1st time u open the app up. Then it is unclear how to get off the page or exit without auto-subscribing. Im not sure of my subscription status or how to cancel. This confusion alone is totally scammy & off-putting! Just another headache to have to deal w/.. now I don't even care what the product has to offer! I give it 5 THUMBS DOWN!!

picturethis – flower & plant identification Reliable identification so far. Interesting notes. Easy to use. This is the first app I have ever used where each time I use it I think 'Ah, that was just what I was after.' It does everything it says it will do with no fuss. I am interested in plants, but only know anything about a few of them. This app is the most reliable at identifying plants that I have used, and is full of useful information. For me it's well worth the subscription.

I can't identify plants on my own so the app is really helpful, but I'm giving it 3 stars because of 2 things. 1) It started taking away or maybe just not registering my "Free IDs." I have updated it, reinstalled it...it's still happening. I'm not sure when the problem started exactly, but I noticed it 5/6 days ago. I thought maybe I just missed the daily check in, but nope. 2) I got different results on the same plant picture despite taking very similar pictures.

This app is great! I'm so glad I found it! It is a very handy tool to have when you're buying new plants. Most plant labels don't have all the info needed to give it a proper place in your yard but with this app you simply take a picture and it gives you the full history, planting/soil type, blooming schedule and more! And you don't have to read someone's lengthy blog!

  8. David Tigue-avatar

    David Tigue

Pretty good app. I have been able to use it to identify many species of plants/mushrooms. The only bad thing, is the limit on how often you can use it. If I had an option to pay for the app once and use it as many times as I want I would do that. Unfortunately they devs decided to make you pay a subscription fee for the app. I feel like a lump sum, 10 to 20 bucks, would be worth the price, but the subscription fee makes the app almost unusable.

  9. lovely joyus-avatar

    lovely joyus

There are no clear instructions on how to cancel automatic subscription. I downloaded this app about half an hour ago and on opening it mentions regarding the automatic subscription after trial period. By mistake I clicked on one of the button, I was trying to exit the screen, and it went to home page of app. I tried to search if there are cancellation info on app, but couldn't find any. So I am not sure if I am subscribed to this app. If I am subscribed, I need to unsubscribe.

  10. Marco Sarmiento-avatar

    Marco Sarmiento

It's a very useful app that often gets accurate results for each search, the only problem being how annoyingly it asks for money. You can only get one ID search daily, which is frustrating because you might get your first ID search wrong and that "one free ID search per day" system won't allow you to retry, unless you are willing to pay extra money for that. Otherwise, great app.

  11. Guillaume Couturier-avatar

    Guillaume Couturier

App will Not ask permission to charge you to go from 30day trial to premium. Tried to ask Why and was given no reason for this. Even if you have notification on and cancel on the 30th day it is a scam app in my opinion. It doesn't even ask you to agree to condition when you start the app. Just to lead you to assume it will remind you.

  12. Bella Rose Jones-avatar

    Bella Rose Jones

Feel like I've been scammed, I do not recall signing up for a subscription and I normally cancel straight away if I do - it must've been quite sneakily done. I deleted the app after one day, just wanted to see how to make my plant better (the diagnoses were also all very inaccurate) - now I'm £20 out of pocket.

  13. Linda Harsin-avatar

    Linda Harsin

This app is absolutely amazing! It is the only app I have ever experienced I consider absolutely worth paying an annual fee. It is fast, accurate, and comprehensive with great features. I recommend it to all levels people from experienced plant enthusiasts to beginning gardens or to anyone with just mild curiosity if plant identification. Additionally, it is a great add to survivalist support information!

  14. Renee Herrera-avatar

    Renee Herrera

I love it !!! I have never been able to grow things... I have a very black thumb!!! So when a few of my plants seem to be surviving I needed to know exactly what kind of plants they are. It only took seconds to find out. Great app, but to expensive....

  15. Graham Hoadley-avatar

    Graham Hoadley

Brilliant app! Take a good picture of any flower, tree, fungus, lichen etc and within seconds it identifies it and offers useful interesting information. Almost never fails - usually for a poor picture or no Internet. I love it and I'm really getting to know and appreciate the wild flowers all around me.

  16. Olivia Dunlap-avatar

Very Helpful I am thankful I found this app. I am the worst with plants, I used to joke that plants came to me to die, but now I'm starting to get better thanks to advice from this app. Most of the time its accurate identifying the plants and giving information on each of them.

  17. Pilarika-avatar

I was automatically subscribed for 1 freakin year without even notifying me..i just knew when my bank emailed me!!and thats not easy money!!i want to cancel my subscription but dont know if i will get refunded..i dont even find this app very helpfull since eveytime i take a picture of a plant,i only get the common name, not its specific name.grrr

  18. Maximillian Lawver-avatar

    Maximillian Lawver

What kind of plant am I looking at? Now you will always know! Picture This is an example of a very well executed app that provides meaningful and researched information about each plant that is requested by way of a photo. After accurately identifying over a dozen plants in my garden, I can highly recommend this app. The subscription is totally worth it.

  19. Shug-avatar

I tried several times to get my membership canceled before my trial was over and after several times of trying to get it removed I was charged the monthly rate. I only wanted to try the app and now I can't get ahold of anyone. I will remove my one star once someone responds to me.

  20. Niomi Lind McAllister-avatar

    Niomi Lind McAllister

I pay annually for the premium version of this app. Ive always loved this ap. This week I used the advanced diagnosis and the stupid person who got my request/pictures told me my plant has already died. I wish I had a job where I could completely not pay attention and offer no help but still be paid. this was very disappointing I won't be using either of my TWO remaining "help tickets." This is the photo I sent. Doesn't look dead to me.

  21. Pușcaș Adrian-avatar

    Pușcaș Adrian

Pro: -identification pretty good -nice, clean, easy to use -diagnose really nice -you can daily use lucky spin to get identification point, without them you can't identify. - keeps your plants saved Con: -app randomly or daily steals your identification points. I had 31, took a photo, and i had 27 left, now I had 8 points and for a week I kept winning 1 each day, but id points goes to 9 and next day is 8 again..so its just a trick atm.

  22. Steven O'Mara-avatar

    Steven O'Mara

This app supplies your email to spam lists. I use different email addresses for every app I install so I can track which ones sell your info. Immediately upon creating my account on this app, the email address I created for signing up started getting spam and scam emails. Don't use this app or give them any info.

  23. Matthew Zuccari-avatar

    Matthew Zuccari

As a Horticulturist, I have looked for years trying to find a plant ID app that worked and this is that app and more. It is extremely accurate; out of 80 tree, shrub, perennial, and annual species I could personally ID and verify, the app correctly identified it on the first try 77 times, and the other 3 times, the correct ID was always an option. The planting, care, and health tips are all gravy as far as I'm concerned! PictureThis is my new favorite app.

  24. Dallas Hopper-avatar

    Dallas Hopper

Deceptive Payment Practices! Avoid the trial! After clearly being directed through the app that subscriptions must be canceled by emailing the company, my subsequent email to them was met with a reply email saying that they were sorry, etc and appearing like the subscription was canceled...only to include buried deeper in the email the need that requires the user to go through the Google pay store to manage subscriptions and cancel there. The intermediate email delay is clearly intended!

  25. Steven Colvin-avatar

    Steven Colvin

Wow! Really impressed with both the accuracy and simplicity of the app. I have tried to stump it, without success. I have found it to be very informative also. No regrets in becoming a premium member. I will use it a lot. Great job!

  26. Linda Bowman-avatar

    Linda Bowman

Years ago when a friend and I roamed the countryside with our stack of wild flower books trying to identify these plants that were new to us, we never imagined the possibilities of "picture this". That was before cell phones or apps were ever thought of. I love this app! I hesitated at the $19.95 a yr but ordered it a wk later. Thanks for making my life a little more interesting.

  27. Karen Opena-avatar

    Karen Opena

Doesn't recognize most of my plants. This app doesn't have huge database of plants in all parts of the world. Was only suppose to try for 7 days but I forgot to stop it prior to the said free trial. It's a total rip off! You can't even copy the text from it. Useless app among all apps I paid.

  28. Jenni Locke-avatar

    Jenni Locke

Does a great job identifying plants. I actually found out i have poison hemlock in my backyard with this app! Sometimes it does get it wrong, usually when taking a photo of a cutting or in low lighting. But it's only ever gotten it wrong maybe twice in the two months I've used it.

  29. John Christensen-avatar

    John Christensen

Not at all accurate. It gave me three different identifications for the same plant; then it informed me that you can only have three free identifications per day. The free version is not worth the time it took to install.

  30. Alysha Magee-avatar

    Alysha Magee

This app has saved me more times than I could imagine. As an amateur florist, it has helped me grow on multiple occasions. (Pun intended) Even if I'm just on a small walk around my neighborhood, I know about every plant. Definitely worth it 👌

  31. Dakota-Raé Bagley-avatar

    Dakota-Raé Bagley

The app overal is great but one thing i have noticed is that everytime i sign in for the daily 'feeling lucky' it doesn't save the ID, ive accumulated over 7 extra IDs in the past 3 days but the number doesn't seem to move from 35.5, is there a limit?

  32. kevin monge-avatar

    kevin monge

I like the app a lot, but what happened to the option to suggest a name for the plants if we cant find the botanic names? As a horticulturist i know that some plant names that aren't in the apps catalog, but I cant even suggest the name for it anymore. Also what happened to the community page? I had friends on the page but I can no longer see the community page at all. These two issues of mine is the only reason I gave it 3 stars.

  33. Elizabeth Felmlee-avatar

We have many unknown plants in the yard and they don't always perfectly look like plants in the book. This app is the most amazing thing ever!! If you like the outdoors and plants, this is the best app to figure out what plants are.

  34. Shirish Jadav-avatar

    Shirish Jadav

One of the best apps I own.. it works great in recognising plants.. I love gardening and I often try new plants or see some grow from seed so this app helps me recognise them and take good care of them. Absolutely must have for plant lovers and gardeners.

  35. Carole Lindberg-avatar

    Carole Lindberg

In the first three photos the info came back clear and correct. It was great. NOW every photo is blocked by an ad to get free user IDs, whatever they are. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Only 3 stars until I can use it again. Blocked from use.

  36. Rainer De Temple-avatar

    Rainer De Temple

It's great but with every update it seems they want my money more. I only need it once a month at most and I can't justify getting a paid subscription for that. It's hard to get to the "free" part.

  37. Samantha Halingten-avatar

    Samantha Halingten

I am an avid house plant collector and my partner loves bonsai. This is so handy to use when we want to take cuttings of native trees to use in bonsai, or when theres no information provided about a plant at a store. Absolutely worth the money. I use it at least once a week! Super easy to use too!

  38. Jerry George-avatar

    Jerry George

The pre download info mist definitely stated it was a FREE app. The very second I opened it after downloading, it told me it was a free 2 week trial period and after would cost me a subscriber fee to continue using. I detest liars and false advertising, no better than Joe Biden and his brain dead cronies.

  39. Cynthia Lalla-avatar

I really appreciate learning about my plants and other plants I may buy. It's helped me a lot when I see a problem on them. Yes, I did purchase the yearly subscription. But there are a couple of problems I couldn't get an answer on.

Excellent app for plant identification. I rarely obtain inaccurate or mistaken identification . Always double check your results. The app is a great tool to help you make an accurate decision.

  41. terri-avatar

I too got tricked. I never wanted to keep this app. Living in the city I rarely see plants. I took on the trial on a weekend camping trip to identify poisonous plants. Then forgot all about it. Next thing I know they charge me for a year. Notice there's no option to contact them to protest this. I could use the money for food. Shame on you!!

  42. Paul Falson-avatar

    Paul Falson

I hate having to install an app to find out how much it costs. I'll save you the trouble. 7 days free, then $19.99 per year. The low rating is for making me install it too find out and the ridiculous price tag. I don't know how well it works.

  43. Aubrey Campbell-avatar

    Aubrey Campbell

Pissed off. Worked great until I got a new phone. Not able to transfer account. Unable to contact company. Credit card showed number that I tried and it's was all recorded ads. No customer service!!!

  44. Benyamin Salvador-avatar

    Benyamin Salvador

Pretty good app so far, more accurate than other apps I've used and the design was very simple until this update making it less convenient. Just wish it has more features other than just identifying and giving tips.

  45. asfand khan-avatar

    asfand khan

I can't imagine how fast it's telling me the appropriate names so quickly. That is helping me to search for the plants more. Like it's propagation and grow mediums.

  46. Shavonne Norman-avatar

    Shavonne Norman

The identify function on this doesn't always work. It's misidentified quite a few of my plants. Sometimes taking multiple pictures of the same plant will get me 2 or 3 different identities. When it works, I do like it.

  47. Kieran Van Merkom-avatar

    Kieran Van Merkom

Fantastic app, second of four I'm trying. Likely will be my main gardening app. So easy to use and extremely helpful. Take a picture and read the app identifies and tells you what you need to know.

  48. Sharon Elle-avatar

Immediately ID'd both individual pasture plants & trees for management. Easy to take pics within the app for accuracy. Exactly what I needed & continue to use. It's like having a pocket botanist on hand. Well worth it.

  50. Alexandra Destria-avatar

Although there are times where the app pulls up the wrong identification, it is very informative and is worth the subscription if you spend a lot of time around plants and nature.

  51. Mick McCombs-avatar

Outstanding app. I have a plant coming through my pepper plants that I could not identify. Nor could any of my neighbors. Git this app and problem solved right away. Turned out the plant is a weed in the US but sometimes cultivated in Europe.

  52. Sharon Glover-avatar

I have used this almost immediately to identify bad/poisonous plants in my garden. In addition, I used it to identify plant problems. I like this approach very much.

  53. Richard Roberts-avatar

Except for the fact that this app asks me to start a free trial every time I start it (too infrequently to justify a subscription), it works very well.

  54. Christy Lyles-avatar

I LOVE this app. I bought a box of wild flower seeds to plant this summer (2020). When they bloomed I had no idea what they were. This app helps me tremendously!!I highly recommend it for those of us who DO NOT have a green 👍thumb!!!!

If I could give this app - score I would have done it . rib off application that can't evwn diatingush plant names correctly same plant different angle and still gives you wrong plant name. I also have it canceled before 7 days trial and still took payment from my Gcash account A scam and rib off app.l

  59. Andrew Zamora-avatar

    Andrew Zamora

It's a pretty good app. But there's around a 30% error rate. I tested it at a massive local nursery , in my native plant butterfly garden, and my succulent collection. All had about the same error rate. I do have a big problem with it identifying a plant wrong and not having no option to deny it. If people want to use this app as a way to learn about plants, you will not be very successful, unfortunately. Because only some hybrid & nursery cultivars are included.

Its a huge f*** around to cancel it, it doesnt work as well as its hyped to be. Its basic plant knowledge with a 60% chance of ID your plant correctly. I have dozens of plants and it couldn't ID almost half. Google works better and is free

1- Should have an option to show metric system instead of imperial. In Europe we don't use imperial system. 2- The translation to Portuguese it's really bad (most probably done by a digital on line translator) and should also be done in PT-EU, rather than PT-BR.

I am in love with this App! Worth every penny. Everyone that sees it wants it. It has kept me from destroying beneficial plants and moving ones that were in a bad spot. Like the Black Walnut in my garden!! Replanted in an area it can grow that it can thrive, have space, and not take out my new roof! Without this app, I have been cutting it as a nuisance.

I downloaded this app yesterday excitedly. After taking pictures of 3 plants in my backyard garden, I've been unable to get ID of the 4th plant. A message keeps popping up that I should share app with 3friends on social media platforms. Also, I noted that the names suggested for 2 out of the 3 plants Identified are wrong. I know this because, I planted the seeds. Really disconcerting to say the least.

There's not very many plant apps worth playing around with but this is one of the better plant ID apps that I've used and recommended to people. The limit on daily usage seems arbitrary. Sometimes it's hit or miss but that's where the community function comes in and you can ask people who use the app to do a quick ID. Sometimes you're smarter than the app and you can suggest a name.

I bought this App 4 months ago and was initially impressed with its functionality. I am mainly using it to catalogue my houseplants and keep them on a watering schedule. I was initially able to add plants into the catalogue even when the app cannot identify them, which was quite frequently, however this has since been removed. Support is incredibly slow to resolve issues. Updates seem riddled with bugs. I would wait to purchase a subscription until the app has been refined further.

Super invasive tries to bamboozle you into automatic subscription right as it is you install the free variant absolutely would not recommend and uninstalled before even attempting to utilize app developers need to realize that if they actually want to sell they need to provide users with something that they want and not try to befuddle people in to an automatic subscription service

Great app, large plant database and so far, it's gotten it every time. I don't like how they trick you into going premium (20$ charge comes automatically after 7 days if you don't remember to change your preferences). Actually, I originally gave it a bad review because of that, but have come back to change it because it ended up performing so well.

Very cool app totally worth the subscription. Took the trial stayed for the year. So cool to look at everything that is around us. Then you can diagnose you plants as well . It really worked what it said to do . My wife didn't believe me but they were right. And we are having fun with the kids going around finding plants in the yard we even found tea and they wanted to make it and try it lol. Fun for the whole family . Definitely recommend this app. Snap a picture, learn about it. Keep track .

Its a good app but was not suitable for our purposes and I am also very upset by the instant deduction from our bank account and when we cancelled the subscription on the 7th day of the free trial it seems we still have to pay for the year. Not happy about that at all, so our review is more about the company operation than the actual app.

The ad said it's free. It does have a 7 day free trial. Then it's $30 a month subscription. It only allowed me 3 free pictures. 2 of the pictures were identified incorrectly. I gave permission for the app to access my pictures, with the assumption that the pictures I took would be there. They aren't and I have no idea where they went. I am SOOOO glad I didn't pay for this app. I'm uninstalling it now. Update. No, I'm not sending you anything. I dont want anything more to do with this app.

An exciting idea and I'll be using the app to help researches into new, for me, wildflowers. Obviously, since identification relies on the photographs fed into the app, the extent of the database, and the desire to come up with an identification, there will be misdiagnoses. But a useful tool. It would be nice to be able to delete photos from the personal library of identifications.

I enjoy being able to see at a glance what the names are for different plants. I also enjoy finding out about the plants and I particularly wanted to know the best time to prune the shrubs and trees. However, the app on my phone appears to have been updated and this did cause a slight problem. The app does appear to have a flaw. I was checking a plant which I believed was a niger plant (from bird feed). I took different photos and they appeared to have different names.

Anyways I'm a new user and what I see so far I like. Thank You. Blessings of Enlightenment unto us all.

Subscription owner: If you use fertilizer in your water, I would advise against downloading and/or subscribing to this app until they fix the issues. POINT 1: You set up reminders for watering, and fertilizing. Majority of gardeners place the fertilizer in the water. Once you click the button which indicates you have completed watering your plant, immediately the fertilizer notification comes up. Problem here is you've already watered your plants, and have to wait for the next cycle to place fertilizer in the water. I was using this app primarily as a reminding service, but it failed. I brought it up to them several times via email, and they assured me they understood and were working on it, but it never materialized. When I emailed to cancel my subscription because of this issue, they were "sorry to let me down". POINT 2: They only let you talk to an arborist/master gardener 3 times, and then you have to pay a lot of money to speak to one again - which they call purchasing more tickets. I didn't feel well-informed on this, or I would have used my tickets more wisely. I paid for a subscription, and thought it was unfair that I had to pay more for this feature. When I did get help from the arborist/master gardener, the advice helped, a lot. They are quick to get back to you, and have neat little tips and tricks. Sorry it didn't work out. I wish you guys the best of luck!

I have tried this app after getting suckered into premium, I started using it, maybe 5% of the time accurate. I'm being generous though because I lost interest using it because it seems like they throw out random answers. Worse yet, app doesn't let you quit subscription, it feels like I'm being held hostage by a app that has no intention of providing a service.

  139. Marge Rutter-avatar

    Marge Rutter

Warning: There is no reminder that your free trial is about to expire. After installing this app, the next email you get will be the one that says thanks for paying for a year's subscription. No refunds. I'm not saying anything about the app... just that I didn't find it useful for my purposes, and wish I hadn't counted on that reminder to uninstall it.

Coming from someone with 20 years in software engineering and enterprise architecture, I find this app very impressive. It is much nicer than the average mobile app and shows good attention to detail. The way it is able to match an image to a database of plants without a heavy artificial intelligence/computer vision engine is great. It functions exactly as expected and has a lot of bonus features that I didn't even know I needed until I tried the app.

Well, my sister has had this app for free for months. I was told I could only have a 7 day free trial. And then after 3 pictures, it wouldn't let me take anymore (in only a few hours from downloading it) and talked about upgrading to a paid premium plan. I thought I had 7 free days and why does my sister use it for free?! Confused. p.s. next day........I decided to keep the app. It is extremely accurate, helpful and fun! Told a friend about it. She also is going to get it. Changed rating to 5.

It's a super app with more than ninety percent accuracy, which I think is very good indeed. You do have to cross check at times, which is understandable because no app can be one hundred percent on the bullseye. Since I write about herbal remedies and products, I sometimes have to go to forests in search of plants. This app comes in handy for identifying unknown specimens quickly. Also helpful are the diagnostic features on plant problems and tips about how to overcome them!

This is a great app. I was a bit apprehensive at first as I have tried others. I thought I would give it a try and after a couple of weeks my wife bought it as well. All apps nowadays are subscriptions so you have to choose which to get. I think this is really worth it. Seems accurate and quick. I like the feature where it diagnoses problems and tells you how to care for plants. I'm a novice so am learning loads. Even found out the name of the tree in my local park. Hollyoaks. August still going

It does it's job pretty well, even without paying for the premium features. There are only two things I don't like. The first is that every time I get on, it asks me to the free trial, which gets annoying. There needs to be a "Do not show again" checkbox so it doesn't show up again. The other is the "Feeling Lucky" is in a weird place. It should be moved onto the home page, instead of hidden in Settings

  145. Cassy Pruim-avatar

Extremely confusing to cancel very upset. Have to email in and they send you an email stating your request is "updated" so you would assume you did cancel and should be good to go. Then I got charge 20 bucks anyways. So I looked back and after that "update message" there was a very long email and at very end it said I still need further action to cancel. Stay away from this money trap

Great app. I was a contract landscape maintenance person in Montecito, Santa Barbara County Ca. I am retired and this app would have been my go to app to I.D. plants. I wished it been available at the time. I recommend it, very easy to use, it works great and very informative, from identification to care and feeding. Where I worked the only thing that would not grow well were lichens from the poles, otherwise it was not unusual for people to plant items from every continent that had blooms.
