This make for a very good car camera. It works great on my Samsung SM-J120W. I have used it for several months now, and it just keeps on chugging. It works even while I have an MP3 player streaming podcasts to my radio AND while I have GPS running. I'm really pushing the phone, but it all just works. There are many customization options which I have made use of. I do record to SD Card, and I think that it might not erase previous recordings when the card gets full. However, that is minor as I do manually delete recordings periodically (just get a BIG card). I am glad I upgraded to Pro. A very good product.

Great app been using the free version for years and decided to help fund it as it's do good via this version.. Would be even better if there was a slight delay of 5 seconds in the auto startup when powered via usb to avoid false starts. Also a start only in landscape would be good. Plus can the developer add a feature to automatically start and stop location services (GPS) on the device as I often forget. Re the developer's response comments: Surely on the "Pro" version you could enable the control of the GPS. If a user wants a dashcam with an upload facility in the event of an accident, it will rely on speed and GPS positioning. Any serious dashcam app user is not going to worry about device tracking as its the whole point! I see why you think this, but consider that having the software control the camera and audio is far greater a security risk on a mobile from a users perspective, and this feature is something I'd expect from a dashcam anyway. Understandable on the Freeware version from a "trial" perspective. Please add it! Also re the auto "startup" in landscape while docked feature, the app seems to startup even in portrait when I connect the power and "beeps" as though its starts to record and shuts down. The options in settings in this regard are very confusing... can you separate "horizontal" and "vertical" please, both options mention it - so I'm unsure which I'm choosing, I think its correct!

I have been trying different dash cam apps and DailyRoads Voyager seems to be the best for me! It slices up your drive video into several mini videos of the time segments that you choose in the settings. It will keep storing those videos until you reach the storage limit size that you setup in the settings. Once you reached the storage limit it starts tossing out the oldest, unprotected videos and keeps on recording. That's a huge benefit for me so I don't have to keep up with file maintenance.

Brilliant dashcam app that works great in the background or foreground even on my little android 4 satnav that only has 512mb ram. It has lots of features, a lot more than I expected, and I can leave it recording in the background while I use other apps. The developer has responded to some questions I had and has been great, this app is definitely the best dashcam app I have tried and is the one I use daily.

Hi, Looking this app...I am not seeing the gps data or map when reviewing the video file...dont need it to be overlayed on the video ...but where is the data stored and how do you know if the file has collected the data? its shows the gps symbol (round with dot in) and it has a drop pin location icon ...but when opening ..no map..and when reviewing on GPS pc programs they state that no gps data available ...is this down to gps signal ...?...if I can get this working I think this will be a really useful app :)

Not really functional. It overheats my galaxy S9 worse than if I sat it on the sun @ noon. Have it set to maximum storage, 120 minutes for video recording, my phone has 64 gb worth of storage with only 35 gb used so far, yet it will only record 11mnts 52secs each trip. Paid $5 for this although not big deal feels like a waste of money. Deleting app, you can keep the money.

I recently received a Note 10+. I like that I can record in 4K AND using the wide angle camera. It would be best to be able to switch cameras whenever. Better yet, the app should allow recording at the full frame rate allowable by the camera, e.g. 60FPS or 240FPS. When events occur, they often happen at high speeds. When slowing a 30FPS video, it can get blurred and jittery. Don't take these suggestions as shortcomings. The app is well worth the 4.99USD!!!

This app (pro) would be great if it would let me select the wide angle camera. I have tested Moto x4, Moto G power, Moto G stylus, all have wide angle, in all cases it doesn't work. Maybe you need to call the CameraX API? Also it would be cool if you could access USB cameras. There are a lot of great wide angle and very compact USB cameras sold as endoscope cameras. I can record a video from other apps through them but I would rather have these great dash cam functions of DR Voyager Pro

I bought this app because it supports the wide angle camera on my phone. I am very satisfied with the quality of footage and the GPS mapping features. The wide angle view is similar to a dedicated dash cam of much higher price.
