This powerful app lets you create your own custom formulas and then perform computations using them by prompting you for the input values.

This app is easy to use, but unlike simpler apps, multiple entered values can be fed into multiple formulas and multiple output values can be displayed. The output of one formula in a group can be fed into the next by using the same variable name.

Related formulas can be grouped into categories to make them easy to find. e.g. Maths formulas, Surveying formulas, Loan interest formulas etc.

The order of variables displayed to the user can be changed, as can the number of decimal digits of precision shown in the output fields.

Three example formulas are pre-installed with the app. In order of increasing complexity they are: slope percentage, compound interest, and point scale factor.

A formula group can be exported or emailed, allowing you to share your creations with other users of the app.

The results from multiple computations using the same formula can be saved to a CSV file for later viewing in a spreadsheet.

You can view the online help here:

App ChangeLog

  • 6.0: Fixed bug with saving results of computations to CSV file. Also changed this option to use the variable descriptions (if available) instead of variable names.
  • 5.9: Fixed bug which was preventing negative values from being entered on formula computation page.
  • 5.8: Added "Dark mode" option on preferences page.
  • 5.7: On compute page, allow entry of a comma as the decimal point in locales where this is used.

Excellent app, but, what would make it even better would be the app database saved somewhere that doesn't need root to play around with. I find it easier to edit the database on the PC. That way I also have a backup copy. Any chance this could be done?

Can you add the ability to reorganize the "catagories" and "formulas" on the drop down list. I have tons of formulas and would like to organize/rearrange them.

Awesome app, it just takes a little bit of time to figure out how to put in all the information.

I was originally looking for a programming app when I found this one. I watched the video and this is above and beyond the functionality I was initially seeking! I would love to see more in depth documentation or a user manual. I received developer feedback on the usage of the 'if()' statement. Turns out I was not using it correctly. Update: The developer replied to my email with some excellent feedback and examples! Now 5 stars!

Its good but still needs tweeking. I like the app and it's functionality, the biggest issue I have is it keeps forcing every number I input and the outputs, into scientific notation, including constants I put into formulas, which isn't an issue if that's what you want. But I don't always like using SN, because sometimes I just need to see my actual numbers without having to do the extra rearrangement in my head, especially if I'm a bit tired. Needs an option to fully disable SN.

I've just spent the last few hours making formulas for tabletop RPG damage calculations and Level Ups. This is amazing! It's easy to learn, but remember to use * and / instead of × and ÷, or your formulas won't run.

Custom Formulas is solid, the best of its kind, and very useful! It is worth every penny, and then some. Think spreadsheet calculations, but with forms. Highly recommended.

Simple and effective! I still didn't try it with longer and complex formulas, but for some basic ones it works perfectly.

This app is just what I needed for my work. Looks very professional when working with customers. I uncovered a small bug which the developer fixed. He even emailed me a work around and then let me know the bug had been fixed. Well done.

This app could have been made more user friendly; 1 suggestion- While writing formula, app should give option of selecting variables from the list, instead of typing manually.

This is awesome! I work in a data center and I programmed in watts per sq ft, required and sensible cooling, max and sensible KW, etc. It took a few minutes to figure out the aesthetic functions, like labels, but afterwards I loved it.

Update keyboard layout....To enter number values we should select numerical keyboard often on each entry ....i want number keyboard to be displayed first

Good app, nice clear interface. I like that it doesn't come loaded with a ton of built-in formulas to scroll past - I only see the stuff I need. One issue, there seems to be no way to input or output variables in scientific notation making it hard to use very small or very large numbers.

I work in an industry that's full of different custom formulas. I wanted an application that I could easily create these formulas and modify as necessary. There are tons of calculators and mathematical applications, but none that could present the data in a simple form until I found this. The developer has been extremely responsive. Excellent!

I really like this app but I wish there was an option to choose a constant from drop down menu. For example I would like to choose a gear ratio to be an input into a formula and not type in long number just choose "gear ratio A" from a drop down list made earlier.

Easy to use. Ability to have multiple formulas connected together sets it apart.
