About Triposo:

We make great, interactive travel guides.

To make our guides we use the content that is freely available. Open content sites like Wikitravel, Wikipedia, World66 and Openstreetmap are among the best resources for any traveler. Our mission is to make that content relevant for you. So we mix and mash and annotate - and we distill great, relevant travel guides out of it.

We like open content. In fact some of us were involved in World66, one of the first open content travel guides on the web. Triposo's travel guides are very much a re-mix of open content out there.

Currently we're using content from: Wikipedia, Wikitravel, World66, Open Streetmaps, DMOZ and Chefmoz

We're big fans of these projects. If you stumble across some inaccurate information in this guide, we would appreciate

map didnt really work so pretty useless

  2. robyn l-avatar

Absolutely fantastic app! Takes up a lot of space, but that's because this is essentially a travel guide for an entire country, all on your phone, with much easier navigation than any paper travel book I've read. I used this when I was recently in Cayo Coco, and it was wonderful and incredibly convenient, especially as internet isn't readily available in Cuba, and all of that app's great info was accessible offline. The app has great tips, history, culture and custom, and even had a section for common wildlife!

  3. mark palmos-avatar

Map is rubbish. Places you read about are not displayed on map when you choose to see on map. Save a place and again, not visible on map. Offline works fine, not sure what the other idiot reviewers were complaining about.

  4. Dave Potter-avatar

Total waste of money. Won't work off line on Android 8

  5. Ágnes György-avatar

    Absolutely useless without internet connection.

  6. Eric David Benari-avatar

Would be 5 stars, except a few of the map locations (and addresses) are totally wrong and wasted my time going to the wrong places. Otherwise, by far the best offline map and guide to Havana! And the only app I had (of 6 others) that actually worked as claimed!

  7. W Hou-avatar

Found out later there are much more information other than sightseeing section, very good in-depth and insight description about history, culture, music and practical reminders. Don't leave Cuba without this, as internet in Cuba is hard to come by

The app is great. Internet access is horrible in Cuba, so using this app to get around was a life saver! It uses your gps location to pinpoint your location on the map and indicates a few things to do in the area. I really like that there's a brief description of each site as well. Looking forward to more casas to be added to the app, as we struggled finding a place to stay that wasn't full/ super expensive hotel. A must if travelling to Cuba

  9. Stephen Morgan-avatar

No internet in Cuba *dial up slow/intermittent for $$. This app is a must. Great OFFLINE MAP. General phrases and general locations an added bonus, but I used it solely as a navigator. 100% street accuracy.

  10. John Herboth-avatar

Well done and expansove guide to sites, eats, and travel info. Did very well in havana.

  11. Katherine McLaughlin-avatar

If you're going to Cuba, you NEED to download this app, it's amazing and is so useful. Internet is sparse in Cuba and this app came in handy many times

  12. Shrimp wong-avatar

The off line map is a life saver. Poplar destinations, restaurants and bars are also saved with description. I would recommend this app

  13. Sarah McNamara-avatar

Fantastic offline app. A must have when travelling in Cuba.

I especially like that I was able to look at maps when phone was on airplane mode while traveling throughout the country. #endthetravelban

    Thanks. Nice Update

  17. A Google user-avatar

A very useful offline app. I learned lots of helpful info. Thanks.

  18. Sandra Karrer-avatar

This app was really useful...others I deleted just after trying them in Cuba. One thing that could make people contribute more content would be to somehow enable adding it while you're offline and then sync it automatically next time you're online...

  19. T Dao-avatar

I really like the map that goes with it because in Cuba I could not use data plan and wifi is very limited that made Google map useless. Also the map already has lots of attractions pinned on it that saved my time for looking for places to go to.

  20. A Google user-avatar

Wish you could select various types of interest points in the map at the same time (e.g. sightseeing AND tourist info). Also, more/better info on tourist attractions wouldn't hurt either

  21. Daniel Murphy-avatar

Excellent app with a particularly useful map.

  22. Junior Barry-avatar

This app is just great.Gps worked just fine offline and was great to reach our different destinations.Would love to see more of the nature spots in the app sight seeing section like the different waterfalls in the diffrent towns.

  23. Linda Sajec-avatar

It only listed four resorts on cayo coco. That makes the map and sights etc useless to me if i dont know distaces from where im staying.

  24. Raluca Croitoru-avatar

    Life saver:)

  25. Yoko Nishimori-avatar

Great application. It works without internet connection, and the offline maps were really useful in Cuba. Thank you very much!

I can't rate this app highly enough. So many functions, including in depth map of Cuba that works offline - particularly important as wireless is virtually non existent there. Useful background info, and tips at hand. Download if visiting Cuba!

  27. Cuca Bolaños-avatar

Great app, works offline which is ideal when traveling. Found everything really useful from the history to descriptions of each city to recommendations. Definitely recommend it! Thanks for the guide!

    ..very usefull, excelent app ..

  29. Alex Keselman-avatar

Took it to Cuba. It worked for big towns only. Maybe because of some problems with gps. Idea is good though. Keep going!

  30. Nott John-avatar

I will be visiting Cuba very soon and have found the hints and tips very good. Obviously I haven't used the maps or other related features yet but based on what it looks like so far, I'm happy to keep it and give this app an outing once there.

  31. A Google user-avatar

Works without internet connection. Maps pretty good.

  32. A Google user-avatar

    Great app

  33. Pat Thompson-avatar

This is a game-changer. I wish I had this 20 years ago when I was traveling through about 50 countries. But it's never too late to learn. And technology has finally caught up. Just download it. You need this. It works offline, you do not have to use your cell tower or Wi-Fi. It strictly uses GPS. Again, you need this.

  34. Byron Terris-avatar

The articles and information is very good. Extra valuable as it can all be offline as Cuba is a mostly offline country. Map always crashes when zooming in on cities. This seems to be a common fault on triposo apps and can be very frustrating when trying to navigate round a new city.
