تعتبر سورة البقرة بدون انترنت هي السورة الثانية من حيث الترتيب في المصحف الشريف وهي مدنية وهي أول سورة نزلت بالمدينة عدد آياتها 286 آية، وبها أطول آية في القرآن وهي آية الدين رقم 282.

وتعتبر سورة البقرة أطول سورة في القرآن الكريم، وهي أول سورة نزلت بالمدينة باستثناء الآية (وَاتَّقُوا يَوْمًا تُرْجَعُونَ فِيهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ) فإنّها نزلت في حجة الوداع، وتُعتبر هذه آيةً مكيّةً. ولسورة البقرة فضلٌ كبير وثواب كثير، وهي ذات عَظمة كبيرة، تحتوي في ثناياها على بعض الأحكام وآيات الرُقية، وكغيرها من السّور المدنيّة، تناولت سورة البقرة عدداً من المواضيع أهمّها التّشريع الإسلاميّ
