Every update gets worse. First they remove the flow strength from the overview (why am I tracking it then?), and now they put a massive disruptive purple *permanent* banner on the top of the screen asking for upgrade to Pro. This is annoying enough to switch to a different app. There's also no way to change the first day of the week (Support says it is indeed a missing feature and it should follow the phone settings, but mine has European settings and still the week in Clue starts on Sunday).

Update 5/12/20: Disappointed with the recent update that added the Plus ad banner at the top up the screen. It's visual clutter and takes up space. I didn't mind the previous popup ones. I appreciate that you guys are trying to get subs. Would you consider a single pay to purchase the app? I can't afford a recurring sub, but would buy once. Also, as someone else said, I preferred the previous display of flow strength, not just red to mark bleeding.

I've tried other trackers in the past, but they tended to be clunky and tough to use. Clue is beautifully designed, simple, and incredibly useful. The fact that it is customizable is a major plus, as it lets you focus on what matters to YOU. On top of that, the app gives you timely, well-researched insights into the symptoms you log. I truly wish that I could afford a subscription because the people who operate Clue deserve a raise!

  4. Mik-avatar

Ads for clue plus everywhere. It's taking up too much space. Also why was the heaviness of flow removed from calendar view? I want to be able to see my heavy and light days easily again. And there are still not better options for things like sex--unprotected vs protected vs withdrawal? What about barrier-free and non-penetrative?

  5. Lucja Chmielarczyk-avatar

Very disappointed about last updates. I use the app since years mainly because of the different graphic style. Totally don't understand why with reviews better than other apps you change to their solutions! Cutting 9 weeks overview to 6 really make difference and the simple, wide and clear overview, when in one sight you know everything was honestly your best attitude. Not to mention about upgrade banner above but who needs that white space? Wasn't it better to mark months names in colour?

I've never gotten notifications for 'your period is about to begin' despite having notifications on and that option selected, etc. It would be nice if that worked, but it never has. On this phone, on my old phone, I've never gotten those notifications. I know a lot of people use it for that, so if that's your primary use, I hope it works for you. But outside of that, I only use the app to track so I have a record and can confirm I get my period each month (medical reasons). Works fine for that.

  7. Abbigalee-avatar

Been using for roughly just over 3 years, and its honestly so amazing. Its had bugs in the past, however I've never found an app that can so accurately read my body. When I had anorexia and my periods became very weird, sometimes non existent, Clue still somehow found a way to tell me what was going off. When I started with my periods again, I started with 2 a month. Again, adapted to my body and allowed me the ability to plan my life. Truly can never thank them enough❤

  8. Kristen Kenzie-avatar

Super easy to use and I like that if I forget to enter for the day it puts a little notification on the top of my phone for me. I also like you can adjust what things you want to track. So whatever your using it for and what is important to you and your health are the things you can track. I also like the app logo is low key so if someone saw you phone it doesn't say "PERIOD TRACKER".

I love this app I have used clue for a little over a year now and it's awesome my sister just got the app yesterday and is In love with it. It tells you when your next period is coming and it doesn't share any of your personal Information. You can set reminders so it can remind you when your period is coming it can remind you your cramps may be bad you can make it remind you ab anything it really is an awesome app. I would recommend this app to anyone.

I started using clue almost 4 years ago and from the beginning I loved them and their app. I LOVE that it is gender neutral which is what initially drew me in, their options for it to be password protected and their name being "clue" nd not 'period tracker' like the competitors. You can track not only your period but tracking symptoms along with it as well as sexual activities, doctors appointments, or you can create your own tags! I love this app I will probably use it forever.

For a year or so after I got this app it was great. The predictions were almost perfect, just what I was looking for. But now my cycle has changed and the tracker has not. For more than a year now my cycle had began more than a week after it was predicted to and the tracker hasn't changed like it was before. This app is great if your looking for a general prediction, but just know it isn't perfect in its predictions and isn't great at learning🙄🙃

  12. Yugana Penrozu-avatar

    Yugana Penrozu

This app is actually quite accurate. It also updates predictions whenever daily data is entered. It's super easy to enter in how you feel and the activities you've done. It notifies you of your fertile window and when pms might hit you. You also get to learn about all the little things about a cycle and how you can deal with it. Really love this app!

  13. Finn Lucullan-avatar

    Finn Lucullan

Wonderful app. UI is clean and neutral, and the app has plenty of good medical information that pops up when it might be relevant to you. You can choose what symptoms you track. But the main reason I use this app is the effort to make it trans friendly: (mostly) gender neutral wording, the ability to turn off fertility tracking and customize alerts, and overall the factual, accessible, neutral tone of the info provided.

  14. Rhian Morris-avatar

    Rhian Morris

I started using this app when I came off the pill 5/6years ago because my periods where incredibly irregular and I needed to keep track of when they had happened in the past for Dr's appointments (as opposed to predicting the the next one). Now that they're more settled I'm able to plan ahead when my period is due and this app is a real help with that. So easy to use, looks great and has great insights.

Clue is a great app to use to record and monitor your cycle. Not only that, it's a good looking app and they have information on everything related to your cycle, such as cramps and ovulation. The option to share your cycle with anyone is also great - I share it with my partner! I highly recommend it to all my menstruating friends!

  16. Stephanie Campbell-avatar

    Stephanie Campbell

I have been using this app for years. I'm legally blind and have the text size on my phone maxed out to be able to see the screen. Thanks to the abundance of "SUBSCRIBE TO CLUE PLUS" ads on literally every section of the app taking up the entire page due to my font size, I'm not able to scroll through them and therefore the app is completely unusable to me in it's current state. Advertising your subscription in one area is more than sufficient. I'm uninstalling and using something accessible.

  17. Tyler DuBose-avatar

    Tyler DuBose

After posting when I had my period for the 1st 2 to 3 months it started to estimate when my next menstrual cycle would be. The more you record the day you got your period the more accurate it will be the next go around. Its been pretty spot on every cycle since. If anything it might be off by a day but that's cutting it close.

  18. İrem Keleş-avatar

    İrem Keleş

I am using this app since 2016 and it really helps me track my period as well as my personal symptoms over month. It's also amazing to be able to set notifications if you want to track several symptoms but forget to enter daily data (like me). It has different options to track, like from mood, craving and pain to hair, skin, ailment and medication so I believe everyone can find something they can use in the app. And to the developers and the staff behind the app, thank you so much! :)

  19. Aleksandrina Pavlova-avatar

I usually don't use this kinda of apps but this one is like no other. It has so much helpful information. Depending on one records it links helpful articles with information which answers all the questions before even asking them. I learned a lot. The app is easy to use and everything is clear. Will be using Clue from now on

This so is pheno if you want to track your cycle! Perfect for all ages! You can enter all types of effects of a woman's cycle. It can accurately track when your period will be and use past entrees to predict effects that might occur on a given day. When experiencing tender breast for example, the app informs you on how and why that pain occurs. This feature works for countless effects of your cycle. This amazing women owned app impowers and informs women about their natural body! Love it!💖💖💖

  21. Leah Moore-avatar

Simple and very useful! Allows you to track your period very easily along with cycle symptoms such as mood, cravings, among many others. You can set reminders for upcoming PMS or fertility windows as well as when you're scheduled to start your period. I've used this for around two years now and would never get rid of it 😊

  22. Cassia Spurlock-avatar

    Cassia Spurlock

Such a great app. Has helped tremendously with me understanding my cycles, cravings, emotional states, and energy levels. Has helped me regulate my expectations as I near my period. I deal with PMS so knowing that I'm about to be on my period helps me prepare for the emotional ups and downs that entails. Their predictive software is pretty accurate although they need a ton of data before they make any suggestions.

  23. Ruby Taylor-avatar

Absolutely love this app- it's made for women by women and as a result works extremely effectively. Doesn't just count 28 days to your next period but accurately tracks using data about you information about your entire cycle. It allows you to track a huge range of symptoms and changes throughout your menstrual cycle. There are no ads, and it uses a gender neutral and really easy to use design. Would really recommend to anyone who experiences periods.

  24. 21 containers of sulfuric acid-avatar

Absolutely love this app, it lets you choose what to track, if you keep having the same symptoms it will show on the front page helpful tips and "tricks" Ig on how to help with that problem. For example, cramps are being continuously added, on the front page it will give you advice to help calm down your cramps and even tips to smoothe your cramps before your period!! I don't have a subscription but I think if you do get it, it will be 100% worth it. I absolutely love that this app is free...

  25. izzy O-avatar

    izzy O

Great app! Helps me track when my period is supposed to start and it's usually exactly correct or only a few days off! It helps me during doctors appointments to track my sexual and vaginal health. It's definitely worth the download, I've had it for almost 2 years, 10/10 would recommend. It even has a glossary where if you have questions you can look it up, there are no ads except for to buy the premium plan, which I don't have, but it's a great app and I would recommend.

  26. Victoria Porter-avatar

    Victoria Porter

I have PCOS and endometriosis and this app helped me share important data with my healthcare providers. I had a hysterectomy in October and deleted the app, but just reinstalled it because I still have my ovaries and I would like to track ovulation/ovary pain since I'm prone to cysts. I turned off the blood tracker, but I wish there was a way to tell the app I've had a hysterectomy. It keeps telling me my cycle is irregular.

  27. alice chambliss-avatar

Tired of getting adds to pay for this app. I thought it was free, then it moved to adding a donation, then bluntly asking every day for a subscription, and now there's a permanent purple banner across the top saying i need to pay. This app use to be my favorite, it had been the easiest to use, but the more I use it the more I realize its inaccurate with predictions on my period. I'm getting frustrated & paranoid by how its telling me to pay for the service & how the app is never correct any more

  28. Pavitra Raj-avatar

This app is great!! Been using it for over a year now and it's awesome. Easy to track and gives good predictions too, however it is standard predictions, doesn't seem to be very personalised. Thank you though! Keep up the good work.

I love this app, been using it for more than 2 years. The GUI is super pretty and you can track many aspects of your physical and mental well-being throughout your cycle. It's also very helpful with the ovulation, PMS and period predictions; the algorithm changes according to your tracked items. Love it!

  30. Christine Huang-avatar

Very good app, although I wish we can customize some things we can track, like rename some things so they can apply to me more. Other than that, this app is easy to use, and help me to understand my mood and energy level change along the cycle. Where I used to be confused with my mood changes etc.

  31. Jessica Brenner-avatar

I've used Clue on and off for 5-6 years and it's amazing. The UI is easy to use, you can customize it to add multiple categories that you'd like to track, and since using it consistently for a few months, it's gotten really accurate at predicting my cycles. Also love that it's female owned and run.

  32. Nataly Herrera-avatar

    Nataly Herrera

It's good to let u know when your going to have your period and it also tells you what you can do with the symptoms u have which is also pretty good. At first u need to put your info and sometimes it won't be right but after it will adjust to the days between ur periods and then now I don't think I've had a problem with the days that it says I'll have my period and if I did it was probably just once or twice.

  33. Sage Bran-avatar

I use this app every single month, it's very accurate. It has changed its predictions with my body and remained extremely accurate. The app includes a ton of information to make sure that you are well informed about periods and you can adjust what symptoms you want to track as well. I love this app. I will never switch to a different one. (I use the free version, there is a clue plus option that you can pay for as well)

  34. Rawrii xx-avatar

Get a Clue! No really, if you have period trouble, download this - it's easy to use, tracks your cycle as well as your symptoms, AND, it uses 100% ungendered terminology and icons, great for nonbinary and trans folks like me who get enough dysphoria around that time of the month. It really helps me to predict what's going to happen when, be it cramps, PMS mood swings, or the period itself. Also has options for birth control tracking and general health. I love Clue!

This app has changed my life. My date changes EVERY MONTH and so I've never been sure of when I was gonna get my period. Clue has been able to predict my next period date with 85% accuracy. Even when it predicts incorrectly, it's always either the day before, or the day after. Either way, I'm always prepared. I've been using this app for well over a year now, and I'm happy.

Checking in with myself everyday is a whole lot easier with CLUE. Migraines, depression, anxiety, low energy levels, etc., this app helps me stay aware of hormonal fluctuations throughout each month, and each day, making it easier for me to adjust accordingly. Thank you!

  37. R. Avery-avatar

I've been using this app since 2014 or 2015, the app visuals are very appealing even back then, It could record cycles (I've owned multiple devices since then) and also has tidbits that I find useful. I'd like to express my appreciation to the team behind this, I've seen this grow and get better each time I use, Clue has a gained my loyalty as a user. So, you won't regret getting this app.

  38. Kayleigh Norris-avatar

    Kayleigh Norris

Easy to use and very helpful. The app's design is cute and user friendly. I tend to be a little disorganized and always struggled to keep track of my cycle. With Clue, it's hardly any effort at all. I highly recommend the app to anyone that needs to keep track of their cycle for medical and/or practical reasons.

  39. Laysa Choudhury-avatar

    Laysa Choudhury

Switch from SpotOn. The update on SpotOn rendered the app useless. I've used Clue before and I find it clunky. It's the same as it was when I switched earlier, which I guess is great, since it is still useable. It's not the most intuitive and user friendly, but it seems to do well for period tracking so far - given that it doesn't have many years of data right now. I don't track too many symptoms, but it gets easier to use the more I use it.

  40. Fouziya Ibrahim-avatar

    Fouziya Ibrahim

This app has been very helpful with keeping track of all my symptoms. It's been spot on so far. Considering my cycles are all over the place. I've been updating it almost every day so it helps me be more prepared! Very simple and easy to use. It has made my life easier ... especially with my endometriosis.

  41. Rachel Finucane-avatar

    Rachel Finucane

Really excellent app - clean, simple interface with neutral colours (no pink!). I think there might be a bug: in the current cycle view, the font size of the "Day 1", "Day 2" etc decreases as the green icom is dragged around the circle. So the font is correct on day 1, but is tiny on day 28, for example.

  42. Jill Rei-avatar

Great app! It adjusts your cycle rythem on average cycles.would like a widget though with a quick menu...not necessarily telling info but allowing a quick add..also would be nice to be able to donate, but since it is a subscription and my money varies from year to year cause I'm a student I can't really commit to any type of subscription.

  43. null-avatar

with clue you can track all sorts of symptoms and add your own customized symptoms. i use clue to track my moods for my mood disorder and what medications i take, as well as my periods. i appreciate that, unlike most period tracking apps, clue is gender neutral without an overly pink layout. it provides feedback and access to insightful data about your cycle, giving you a baseline so you'll know if anything out of the ordinary happens. oh and you can share your cycle with friends lol

  44. Emily Garant-avatar

This app has always been very accurate for me, but then again, I've had regular periods my whole life. One thing I dislike is the exercise catagory because there's not enough options. I often work out with weights but I can't track my exercise because of that not being an option.

  45. Suellen Palmieri-avatar

    Suellen Palmieri

I've been using it for years. I would like to suggest that the app could connect with the partners cell phones and that they receive notification about our fertile period coming. It would be good to share this responsibility, which in my case only use the app as a calculation and preventive method.

  46. Brooke W.-avatar

Very great tool for tracking and planning. Been using since 2016. I just wish it could pick up trends between intamate activity and cycle length. Things like that would be very helpful, as there generally seems to not be much research available on this correlation.

  47. Ivy Mills-avatar

    Ivy Mills

I used this app before I got pregnant, and because I obviously wasn't having periods anymore I stopped using it but kept it installed. When I was ready to use it again it told me my cycle lengths were over 60 days and wouldn't let me change it. There is no way to edit what IT decides your averages are, so if you don't put in all your data it will mess up everything and it will become useless. Can't delete and reinstall because it requires my email and will auto pull that old data. Useless.

I have been looking for a replacement app for Planned Parenthood's spot on app, after the most recent update that made it harder to use and kept logging me out of my account. I've only had this app for a few days and I've been really enjoying it. It has a similar features as the old version of the Spot-on app, so if you are looking for a replacement I would highly recommend this one.

This app seems to work if you cycle is somewhat normal. I am using this app to also track my irregular perimenopausal bleeding. The app is no lo ger tracking with the color spots accurately. This is a major hinderence to my record keeping. I am no longer able to view at a glance what is happening.

The perfect cycle tracking app :) I really love it, as it allows you to be more descriptive or just put in the essentials. Its predictions are pretty accurate, and it has allowed me to spot patterns I wouldn't have noticed without it. Such good work guys!

I just wanted to say thank you for the Clue App. I've been using it for years; started using it in 2014. It is the most helpful app I could ask for. It can be as advanced or as simple in it's tracking as I want it to be. It's easy to use. And it's very pleasant to look at. Clue is the best! 5 stars all around.

I love this app so much. I am agender, and every single period tracking app I've come across has somehow managed to smear it's femininity into my face. From the gender neutral colors, to the inclusive language, Clue is a winner. It doesn't make me feel erased, and others did. I highly recommend this app!

Very good app. Clue is very accurate with its predictions and this app is very easy to use. It also gives information on the reasons behind cramps, cravings, lack of motivation and more. Plus this app is lead by a team of women. Definitely worth installing.

If you're just wanting to period track then it's been fab. The new unmoving banner of subscription ad and space hungry new calendar format has really turned me off Clue though. Currently tracking more data points than Clue offers options for so it's less useful to me now and paying for it wouldn't be worthwhile.

GREAT! I personally enjoy this a lot with record tracking. My friends talk about other apps but once i open and show mine, they all like mine and switch. Its so user friendly and trust me you want something easy and remindful:)

The app tried to make me subscribe to a paid plan before I could even see the main screen for the first time. How shady. Edit: I was going to give it a second chance. I opened the app again, but before I could even see what the paid plan does, the app was spamming my notifications with subscription pleas. I might have subscribed had I been able to tell what the app does, but I'm not paying just to find out.

This is an amazing app, it helps me keep track. Since I have trouble remembering stuff this app notifies you when you're due or when you're late, been using this app for 2 years now and never had a problem with it 🙂 keep up the fantastic work!

I think the layout is ugly. Improperly states cycle out of range because of using B.C. 2 skip withdrawal bleed. No weightlifting option for exercise really stinks. I prefer traditional to the point graphs. I don't think there's anywhere I can track tag patterns. I'd have to have a fully customizable app with dark mode to pay monthly.

Very in depth while being extremely intuitive and simple to use. Full of useful info and advice displayed in a non intrusive way. I 100% recommend this app, whether you need to track something specific about your cycle or just for visibility over time.

Really great app for keeping track of your periods. Mine have always been irregular but because of my birth control they can get really random. Good to keep all the information you need in one place and it couldn't be more user friendly!

Works perfectly and helps me keep track of when my period is due to start. Love that I can add any pms symptoms. Very useful for if I have a doctor's appointment and can let them know when my period started/ended and any symptoms.

Great period tracking app! Works great and predicts my cycle very well. Could you add a feature to track period clots and its size? Like nickel size or smaller, quarter size and larger to help women track this and when/if they need to see a doctor about it.

I love this app so much I can see when I get my period on my phone and I can tell what I'm feeling and it will not share my personal information about me at all .this app for me and in my opinion I will give this 5 star rating. I personally think I will not have to download any other period tracking app

I like the app, its a little confusing on set up but you get use to it. It would be nice if there was a notes section for each day for additional notes, even if it was just 1line or 2. However, i recommend it fully.

This is one of the coolest app to keep track your reproductive cycle, and even record your mental chart at the same time. Moreover, is ad-free, and gender neutral, so I'd say Clue is the best menstruation cycle tracker you can get today!

Why does it NOT proceed to the next page from hormonal birth control if I choose "None". It's almost as if the app refuses to believe me!! How am I supposed to proceed to the next step?? It only proceeds if I choose Mini or Combined pill - both of which I don't use!

I have had this app since about 2017, and it has been really helpful. Sometimes the app is a little inaccurate but that's a fault on my part because sometimes I forget to put in the information. I recommend this for anyone who has a period.

Amazing app to keep track of your menstrual cycle! If I'm showcasing certain symptoms, I'll take a look at the app and have my answer right there "ooohh, no wonder I feel irritated by the way he speaks, my period is in 2 days" :D it's great

It wont let me delete my account. I stopped logging for a while and came back to use the app, it said my cycle was 77 days instead of 28, it wouldnt let me reset my history do the data it gives me is very off. Was a good app before these problems

Pretty great app in my opinion the menstrual cycle predictions are either spot on or a day earlier but you have to make sure to fill it out everyday of menstruation and give as much information as possible about that day for the most accurate prediction
