  1. Ong Jun Hao-avatar

I used to like the cycling route as I cycle often but have since stopped using this app as the cycling route is now gone. Google Maps is way better than Citymapper as it has voice navigation. Please reinstate the cycling route and also add a Personal Mobility Device route. Thanks.

  2. Loh Phat-avatar

There's a bug preventing map updates from being downloaded automatically. I had to uninstall the app and reinstall to get map updates.

  3. Darren Moss-avatar

Definitely losing the edge when it comes to tube timings. No longer reliable info to be able to change lines.

  4. Lydia Tsolaki-avatar

This app is amazing and thank you for creating it! It has helped me a lot! It gives you the best routes, you can see how much time will you spend on your trip with all the preferences you may have, by bike, on, foot, with Uber etc. It's also suggesting the wagon that you should embark in order not to lose time in changing transportation and many many more! Love it!

  5. Matt B-avatar

Amazing travel app that works all over the world and tends to be more accurate than Google maps.

  6. Kenneth Rodrigues-avatar

    Kenneth Rodrigues

Best City Transport assistance than useless Google Maps. Please add Canberra, Brisbane and Perth City on Citi mapper too please

  7. Ww Ww-avatar

Nice if your in unfamiliar city. But if you're in your home city and just want to see train/bus time, just too much information. - allow us NOT to display map (and don't even try to do GPS to save battery) - allow us NOT to see certain travel options like I am not cycling/taxi/Uber/zipcar/etc - Allow us to rearrange the icons and/or hide irrelevant travel options (same as above) - do not display the text "location is off". - allow us to save journey search

  8. Ryan Trentham-avatar

I love this app it's not available everywhere. In the cities it is though it is a life savior. When I went to New York City it made my experience a million times better. It gives you routes including the subway and buses and was extremely accurate.

  9. Mister Holiday-avatar

I always use it for the San Francisco Muni underground & Busses because it is much faster than digging up the same info in Google Maps. In city mapper, you launch the app, tap ONE SINGLE button (I.e. BUSSES), and boom, up comes the times for busses at all of the stops nearby. And it routes you and reroutes if necessary

  10. Ian Huxtable-avatar

Really helpful app that has a stunning appearance about it. It brings all the information that I would need about my local transport into one and is something I use each morning to track when my bus is due. Clearly a lot of time has been spend perfecting it.

  11. Tha Thankful1-avatar

City mapper is very convenient, small and quick. Plus it offers the street view with the Periscope. Definitely would recommend it as it is better than any other map app that I have ever encountered.

  12. Eve Lord-avatar

@@@ Best public transport app @@@. Tried almost EVERY bus timer apps on a benchmark phone and this CRUSHES EVERYONE plus its managed by a years long established and experienced provider "CityMapper". unlike the other copycat apps on the app store that some got me some bugs and viruses or ask for too much permissions. WELL DONE.

  13. Carl Buet-avatar

Must have in big city, but pretty awful since Covid. Bus timetables and trackers are always wrong, and often they are 2 minutes away only to disappear from existence. Need to try and update it as it's actually causing people to be outside for longer which increases their risk.

  14. Penny Edwards-avatar

Used to be a great app for cycle routes but now awful. It only caters for hired bikes and when none are available it tells you to switch to personal and nothing happens. When you click on report issue nothing happens either. Also can't get audio directions so pretty useless when cycling.

  15. Lau John-avatar

Great and ease of use. Though there are some better, faster or cheaper routes that the app left it, but good enough. The best party is that it reminds me to get off the bus when I fall asleep!

  16. Joshua Chen-avatar

what happened to cycling directions for singapore? they were working perfectly fine before

  17. Main Alias-avatar

Very useful and well designed. Accurate fare and timing info. Can you please add option in Settings to ask "Where are you going?" instead of "Where are you coming from?" first? I intuitively think of where I want to go first

  18. Peter Wynn-avatar

Very detailed, but the layout is confusing.

  19. Sylar Burns-avatar

Disappointing. Recommended exits are usually wrong. Travel routes always make you walk more. For example, the closest bus station had the recommended bus number to go to preferred location, but no, you're always directed to go the stop further away!

  20. Mark Warren-avatar

Great app it gives you multiple ways to make a journey on public transport and even the cost it can track buses in real time so you watch them from stop to stop shame it's only for London ATM hopefully it's going to cover most major cities soon

  21. Vitalii Drevenchuk-avatar

    Vitalii Drevenchuk

How to choose absolute time instead of relative? It's super annoying to calculate it manually. This app doesn't cover all routes and I do it manually

  22. F. PHIL Rosado-avatar

Highly recommend it! For the most part it's 95% accurate too, if you take public transportation (Bus).

  23. Gurpreet Khamba-avatar

    Gurpreet Khamba

For what I have used it for, finding buses and mapping out routes, it does a fine job.

  24. Crunchy Thought-avatar

    Crunchy Thought

My bus route is always there and the scheduled is 98% on time, but maybe the team can add that moving bus feature on the route..

  25. James Williams-avatar

Awesome app for transit navigation. Use before you get stranded and confused by Google Maps!

  26. Jake-avatar

Used this app during our European vacation in 2018 and have been using it for business travel since then. Best app for all transportation options!

  27. R P-avatar

Can't cancel Pass for four weeks... :( I honestly signed up to it more to help CityMapper because I like what they are doing, feel a bit betrayed now.

  28. Rob Watson-avatar

Excellent features missing from Google Maps alone

  29. gcoby 86-avatar

The best app ever, so easy to navigate and gives multiple options in travel

  30. Kaiser Anam-avatar

Without this app, traveling in London would me much more difficult for the tourists.

  31. Perminus Ngugi-avatar

Very good app and consistency,I have been using for a long time now

  32. Katie Young-avatar

Great work. (can Melbournes water taxis and ferries be added to services)

  33. Carer 193-avatar

Its very slow on opening. Sometimes crashes

  34. Ciprian Peter-avatar

Best app for London UK very accurate regarding times best directions and prices recomand

  35. AbuNasser Md Badrudduza-avatar

  36. Extra Rice-avatar

Very accurate helpful and time savings

  37. taranath jawahar-avatar

The app is fine but don't buy the pass! They say its unlimited travel, but they charge you fees for taking buses. Happened to me twice. Also everytime you think you've been charged incorrectly, they want you to check your TFL account and then send a screenshot and then wait for a refund, its too much effort for very little upside. And they increased the fares too starting 2020. Although I really recommend using them for the maps, the UI is great and it's never crashed for me.

  38. laurent voituron-avatar

    laurent voituron

This app seems to be getting worse by the day. One of the main problem is that the app decide where you want to start. And when it does change to previous location ( why on hell would you want to start from a place you WERE instead of the place where you ARE?). But it also decides itself. Like today I was at dalston junction, but the app insisted for me to walk to Angel statiom,. Then it offers me my previous location. But never suggested to take the train at the dalston station.

  39. Michael Garner-avatar

This is by far the best map navigation app I've ever used. I do however have a couple of request... the movable icon needs to be in the precise direction you're facing, like an arrowhead icon. It's a bit frustrating if I'm trying to go to 10th Avenue in NYC when the icon is pointing in the opposite direction. Also, it would be greatly beneficial if the app gives you a warning if you're heading in the wrong direction. Just my two cents.

  40. Katie McCarthy-avatar

Love this app, it's my go to in NYC. Also worker great traveling to Barcelona. Would like a bike/ nyc ferry mode please!

  41. George Georgios-avatar

    George Georgios

Absolutely awsome app! Trains, buses, public transport now is truly a breeze with secure "real time". Updates. My friend recommended this app and in completely impressed. Keep up the great work.

  42. Luis Gomez Navarro-avatar

    Luis Gomez Navarro

Good app but difficult to shut down. By default the ride carries on telling you what to do in your phone even when you have already reached your destination, or you don't want it yo help you further (ie, save battery). But sometimes it is literally impossible to shut, and specially dissapointing that when killing apps in android, this one still survives... It's a pitty that such a good app for its purpose messes around or plays with the customer this way.

  43. Kween jade-avatar

Good app. Wish it was easier to access stops and the timetable doesn't actually give you a live ETA which sucks. The main reason why I'm giving if a good review is due to the handy notifications. I also like how the app is small and doesn't consume a bunch of battery. You guys do need to work on offline support though. No timetables or schedules are available at all which is what I was expecting. Not gonna bother updating this app till then.

  44. Motorcycle Refurbishment-avatar

    Motorcycle Refurbishment

Not always correct with Travel options

  45. Shenaz Jivanjee-avatar

    Shenaz Jivanjee

I was in London with a friend. Although this was not my first time. I have visited London before but never had the necessity to use a map as most times I have travelled with my husband or daughter who lead . This was the first time to make way through this busy city. As I am not conversant to reading maps, I found citymapper very easy to understand. I could navigate from any place using this map. I would highly recommend to any first time visitors to use it.

  46. Madeha Akhter-avatar

Easy to use and very informative

  47. Edwin Fabro-avatar

I would have been lost on the subways without this app. On time and precise! Too bad the cellular connections below ground is spotty otherwise this app is awesome! Keep up the great work!

  48. Sebastian Scherer-avatar

    Sebastian Scherer

All the key routes are incl. Well done

  49. Timothée Ravier-avatar

    Timothée Ravier

Best public transport application for Paris and a lot of other cities in the world.

  50. Audrey Dogbeh-avatar

Great app, I use it all the time, and it's mostly accurate (bus times can though be dodgy even when it shows "live" times). My only gripe is: when searching for a street by typing the first letters and tapping on one result, I don't get the possibility to type a street number afterwards. The only way I have to type the whole street name fully then the number...

  51. Autumn Byam-avatar

Going to have to give Citymapper a low rating because for the first two weeks I used it , it failed to make me aware of a two week long disruption to the 168 bus route and I had to estimate timings...Furthermore, as a student with a job, it's frustrating that only 'Home' and 'Work' can be your daily commute with reminders, as uni is where I travel every day - it would be better if you could have a commute to a custom location that's not home or work.

  52. N S-avatar

App works beautifully in Lisbon! Trams in don't stop at every stop on each line. With this app, it is easy to tell exactly where one is at any moment on a particular tram line. Makes it easier to know when to push the bell button to let the tram driver if you want to get off at a particular stop. One suggestion for improvement is to add the tram line number e.g. 28E to the tram line description so that it becomes easier to identify the correct line before clicking on it. Thank you!

  53. Stefan Daler-avatar

What's new in V10.0? Google Play Billing, that's what's new. £30-£100 per item, yikes! No mention in the change log however. Colour me suspicious. (Strange, my original 2* review disappeared! So minus one star for that.) Shame, since it's actually a great app, and I wouldn't mind paying, so long as it's open and up front about it.

  54. Jennifer Onativia-avatar

    Jennifer Onativia

I've been using this app for years mostly without problems. Recently though, I've had serious problems whenever there is any disruptions on train service. Sometimes it will tell me to wait 2 hours and take the express train (express service doesn't start for a half an hour after I should already be at work) or take some other nonsensical route. I've had to estimate my train times repeatedly and usually end up getting to work a minute or two before or after my start time.

  55. Mr C-avatar

Been using City Mapper in London for a couple of years now, great way of keeping up to date with what is happening on the bus and tube network as well as checking when your bus is due and planning new journeys.

  56. Emilie Franchomme-avatar

    Emilie Franchomme

Ultra accurate, with useful features, and humor! I use it in New York and Paris. I love the get off alert, and which section of train is best to use depending on the exit. It updates well with crazy route changes during weekends in NY. I am even more impressed with how it behaves during the transportation strikes in Paris those days... And it even has 'future itineraries' with stops under construction (available in 5 years...).

  57. Robert Head-avatar

Very easy to use and extremely helpful. Easy step by step guide that takes away all the stress of navigating round my chosen city! Definitely recommend.

  58. Brenda Barton-avatar

I wouldn't be without this app, great for planning a journey

  59. Undercover Enforcement Bureau-avatar

    Undercover Enforcement Bureau

The app is great at navigating me to the places I need to get too and be at on time. But the way the GPS acts is so inaccurate. It will give me routes and times that don't even matchup. I can literally get to my destinations faster than the GPS for the app can tell me what time exactly I will get there which is way earlier than expected or way later than expected!

  60. TheGreatAkhillis-avatar

Update: Works like a charm now. I love this app, it is the main app I used for my everyday mobility, but lately it became almost unusable on my OnePlus 6, since it lags and crashes a lot. I hope there's an update coming soon to fix it, because if it's fixed, this app is 5 🌟, no doubt!!

  61. Jonathan Beauclair-avatar

    Jonathan Beauclair

Used it in New York and London. Excellent!

  62. Joshua Troskie-avatar

Been using the app for 5 months now. Be prepared to wait for buses that never come, especially on your commute. Take an early start to your day + city mapper and 4 times out of 10 you will arrive to work late. It is just too inconsistent... also, beware if you try and use the, "walk the rest of the way functionality". Save yourself the time and effort and just use google maps.

  63. S F-avatar

Great app for tracking bus arrival, planning journeys ahead! It gives some over estimated travel time at times, but it always keeps me ahead of time for travels. Works for me! Thank you. Although, at times, the crowd rating in the bus is not always precise. Aside from that, cool app!

  64. John Carroll-avatar

I love this app, excellent updates allow me to see what is going on and allows me to find alternative routes. Love the quirky things they do...hoverboard is genius...😁

  65. Claire Wilkinson-avatar

    Claire Wilkinson

Great app, I just wish the notification displayed at the top of the screen (Android v9) while you're mid-journey would stay there until the trip is ended - to find out how many stops I have left i keep having to go to my home screen and reopen the app, then it lags for a second before the notification reappears at the top showing where I'm up to.

  66. Georgi Atanasov-avatar

    Georgi Atanasov

Used it on my city break in Paris. Very helpful app, recommend

  67. Sulaimi Zakariah-avatar

    Sulaimi Zakariah

I took the regular route with my road bicycle it showed me a mtb route along the way... I end up pushing my bicycle for about 2km because I'm too lazy to search for alternative route. It's good if you could add your own way point for bicycle route. Some of the PCN in Singapore is undergoing improvement and redevelopment so we can plan our own short cuts.

  68. Rachel Gwilt-avatar

Love the app in general, however the refresh button on a bus stops arrivals doesn't work with the new update (2 Dec), very annoying when I want to update when the bus will arrive. I have to leave the page and go back in to reset the arrival times. It's still happening with the next update too (16 Dec) 🙁

  69. p assau91-avatar

Pretty much always the go-to resource for journey planning and real time journey information for me. I'm only withholding a star because of the confusion caused by showing a route which is not possible because of closures - if it's not a viable journey at the time, best off not mentioning it 😁

  70. Jason Muller-avatar

Phone just got upgraded to Android 10 yesterday. Notification pops up today informing me that Citymapper is accessing my location from in the background (this detection is a new feature in Android 10). What the heck?! I haven't even opened Citymapper once in at least a month or more. How long has Citymapper been sitting in the background on my phone, covertly tracking me without my knowledge? Time to uninstall this app. I rarely use it anyway. Ultimate privacy fail, shame on you

  71. steve thered-avatar

Simply put, I've never been so happy to recommend an app. As a commuter this gives me everything I need all on one page (scroll up or down). The information is near immediate and accurate. My only suggestion is, can you put a fix to arrange layout into categories from buses to trains?

  72. Moloch-avatar

Since last update the app is completely off. Doesn't know my location and gives longer journeys. What is going on? One month later plus 2 updates. It's much worse! What a shame. It was the best transport app in London. I'm using Google now.

  73. Saiharan Muralee-avatar

    Saiharan Muralee

Hey I love your app. Super useful and great! Only worry is that you guys used to have the amount of time it takes walk to each stop for each mode of transport within half an hour. Now it seems to be gone. If you could bring that feature back, that would be really great! Thank you!

  74. Barry Cooper-avatar

Great in theory, but not reliable. It's currently showing bus arrivals where I live that are non-existent, as due to roadworks buses are diverted away from my road. This has been going on for about a week and will be a few more days. Another similar app correctly shows bus arrivals.

  75. C.J. P-avatar

Most accurate I've tried (for all the big east coast US cities, at least), plus gives a lot of good options. Nice features, like mixed-mode and get-off notifications. Clean app. It has some customizations. I wouldn't mind seeing a way to rank modes (walk, train, bus), but not critical

  76. Agustin Cavalieri-avatar

    Agustin Cavalieri

So much easier than google maps. I love how I can simply see the trajectory of a whole metro or tram line. and the "get off" alert. Also how they respected the colour code of the transport lines chosen by by the city. makes the whole experience very visual.

  77. Berta Barona-avatar

It used to be simply the best transport app. No longer, unfortunately. The timings are not so accurate anymore and sometimes they don't even load. This applies to Madrid specifically. I used it in London also and it was fantastic.

  78. Saira Munshi-avatar

I am using it since years, it is a very useful app, detailed and as i have train anxiety to it shows longer distance bus routes... I will love to see cheap and easy routes to out of London as well... Eg to crawley, milton keynes, alton tower, routes of other than red buses. Thank you

  79. Dario Tavares-avatar

Worst customer service ever. I spent 1 week without being able to use my 31 £ pass due to an issue with Citymapper pass in my Google pay ( Google c services was way more useful and helpful than Citymapper) and I just got replied back a little more than a week later. Even though I exposed my issue to CM, they did not care at all, their reply after I requested a cancellation was your cancellation should be process and actioned in 2 weeks as per policy. Keep using Oyster don't waist y time/money

  80. Oluwa Shindara-avatar

This app is very detailed and accurate. Helped me navigate my every move to, on, and from the Tube in London - main lines, connecting lines, even down to the next 3 or 4 train times. I was highly impressed and recommend using this app for any mode of transportation. Really great app!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!!! Love it! In a flash, it give me all my 🇫🇷 Paris Metro 🇫🇷 routes, alternatives, times, walking distances, everything! A MUST HAVE app!! 👍 AND the app even tells you where to sit on the train (1st car; middle cars; last car) so you will be closest to the best exit that is closest to you final destination! Absolutely the greatest!

Great app, i use it all the time. It would be useful to know WHERE specifically on my route the heavy traffic is as i could then make an even more informed decision. Anyway, keep up the good work Citymapper team

Good app very useful but the bus countdown doesn't work anymore. The refresh button does not work and you have to go back to the main screen and then select the bus stop again to see updated times. Very frustrating as have missed many buses recently because times aren't accurate anymore.

This app was an absolute life saver on recent trip to NY. Brilliant at helping us get around the city using the subway. Really accurate, up-to-date info. Can set arrival or departure time. Also advises how many stops to take and which entrance is best. Fantastic app

Find this generally really helpful and love having all info in one place. Just don't rely on it having up to date bus times, runs on the official timetable so not able to tell you about delays. Also gives you very little time to change at some large stations so keep an eye on how long you've got!

Great app, I letterally depend on it in my daily life but recently the update button for the waiting time of buses, tube and trains is not working anymore. I have to leave the page and re-enter it to have the updated waiting time. Please Citymapper team fix this problem.

The refresh button is now active but does not actually refresh the bus countdown. I have to keep going to the home page to see the accurate bus times. Please make refresh button work properly (in the arrow in the right hand corner)

This app is amazing, I used it to plan a destination in another country days in advance during a transport strike. Not only did it know about the strike, it had safe routes and alternatives methods! Live rail/bus info, a great UX and really strong performance make this a must have

Need custom alarm (ring is too short and doesn't work most of the time), vibration is too weak. I miss my stop multiple times... *Update 01/09/2020 Guess what, Google map now provide voice notification, unless Citymapper does the update with voice notification, I will uninstall Citymapper.

I first learned about this app while visiting London. I live in NYC and it's great here, too. Tells you EXACTLY how to get around, including all modes of transportation, prices, maps, and schedules in real-time.

I tried the app in Saint Petersburg and it is the best public transport app I have ever used. We have really good public transport apps in the Czech Republic (better than Google Maps in many cases), but Citymapper's UX kicks ass! I highly recommend to try this app if it is supported in your city.

I love it! I've used it in multiple cities and its the best. Especially the walking directions. I only wish it had an offline version. You aren't always assured of Internet connection when travelling to a new city

[Do NOT get the £32/week travel card!] Misleading and confusing system where you need to manually change payment from card to Google Pay. Payment type is locked for 1 week, and you can only cancel after 4 weeks. Sneaky £1/week inactivity charge. Best to use the physical card. Horribly cluttered UI where critical ingormation and settings are buried in the unstructured menu. Using the card was not cheaper in the end, but I got morr stressed about Google Pay double charging me. Poor transparency.

The app is good and super useful but don't get their subscriptions. Support take ages to answer you and if you have any issue they are not able to provide a good customer experience service. Just cancelled and see what other options I have out there. For now it will be back to my regular Oyster.

A must have in the big cities. Could not have survived NYC without it. I used it to navigate around the city on an express bus trip to NYC and it worked flawlessly. Would definitely recommend.

Like Google Maps displays where you need to go and what public transport to use. Unlike Google Maps it displays the cost in your city. It is truly a great app for people who live in cities

Love this app so much. A friend told me about it and helped me install the app on my phone. I have the convenience of checking to see what time my bus comes from my upstairs apartment.

The directions are super easy to follow but the direction indication (compass calibration) is often inaccurate. It will shkw that your pointing in a direction that you actually aren't when navigating on the map view.

Every update is getting worth and worth and worth. The interface used to be very simple and user-friendly now it is too complicated and you have to use submenu to know what you need from the app. Keep it simple!!!!!
