The Cardiogram app helps you understand your heart rate. Compatible with Wear OS by Google (formerly Android Wear) and Garmin watches with an optical heart rate sensor. Our Wear OS app is compatible with iPhones! We are not currently compatible with Samsung watches, however, it may be possible to get an app to write your Samsung Health data to Google Fit, which we pull data from.

On your wearable, Cardiogram monitors your heart rate every 1 to 5 minutes—you can configure the frequency—and continuously when you initiate a workout.

On your phone, the Cardiogram Android app shows you more details:
• The Timeline tab shows your heart rate each day, with a detailed view for workouts and a special interface to track spikes related to stress, diet, or exercise.
• The Daily Leaderboard lens in the Timeline tab lets you compete steps and activity levels with your friends! You can invite friends who own an Apple Watch or Garmin, or even those who don't own an wearable device at all—this feature is compatible with the built-in Google Fit step tracker on your phone!
• The Metrics tab shows you how your resting heart rate and steps are trending over time.
• And the new Habits tab lets you find a new healthy habit or activity you'll love, invite a friend to share metrics, and optimize your overall health, sleep, stress, and fitness.

Not only that, there's a larger purpose: you can share your health data with medical researchers, to contribute to studies on sleep apnea, diabetes, hypertension, or abnormal heart rhythms like atrial fibrillation.

Cardiogram displays health data from your WearOS or Garmin smartwatch, including heart rate, steps, and sleep, in chart or graph format, and integrates with the Google Fit app.

Cardiogram is compatible with Garmin or WearOS watches with a heart rate sensor, including:
* Fossil Q Control, Q Venture HR, and Q Explorist HR

Seems like it could be more user friendly by making it easier to interpret results (when should I be concerned; possible causes (C19?!), etc . Also should be collecting/synced to weight changes. I shouldn't have to manually change my weight. I do like the activity and heart data comparisons to others in my age range/sex and the hypertension calculation is motivating as well. I've made changes to diet and exercise and it's reflecting.

SAVE $2400 or More! I spent $2400 on a 24 hr heart monitor. I could have just bought this watch for $100 and the app for nothing (or pay a little to send my doc the graphs of my heart rate going up and down). As it happens, I did not even have an "event" during the wearing of this $100/hr health"care" system heart monitor. Learn from my lesson, I beg you!

  3. Gregory Lang-avatar

    Gregory Lang

Not bad, not great either App keeps labeling massive blocks of time (24+ hours) with a 'sleep' tag and because it's such a large block I can't actually see the tag to click on and remove it.

  4. Brian-avatar

Love the app and all the data just wish it was easier (still dont know how) to remove "friends"... i really don't need to know how active my ex's are LOL!

  5. Jim Evenson-avatar

Seems to have a hard time tracking steps on my Fossil Gen6. Step histogram doesn't show up on the graph half the time.

  6. Randy-avatar

Really like the data, the algorithms, and the lens into health. The privacy policy leaves a lot to be desired, however.

  7. Edward Clark-avatar

This is hypochondriasis taken to a new level. It just imports all your data from another source like Fitbit and "interprets" it in a seemingly arbitrary way to seem relevant. For example, my RHR is 58. It's been about 58 for years. This app tells me my average RHR is 79. A few days ago it measured at 89!! Hah. Do yourself a favor and get rid of apps like this that make you hyper focused on your heart rate. It's not helping. In my case, my Fitbit device and its app is more than sufficient.

  8. Amots Grosvirt-Dramen-avatar

    Amots Grosvirt-Dramen

The app is nice and useful, but it's run down my watch (Galaxy 4 classic) battery twice as fast. Had to recharge twice per day

Edit: Thanks for responding, Linda. Allowing users no way to back up their information without signing up for an account is a form of extortion. Other apps provide a means to export the data, then import it again upon a new installation. I see that CSV export is available, but only if one subscribes to (aka rents) your software, and I saw no import option even then. With no outright purchase option and no way to back up my data locally, your app is an all 'round loser for me, as I expect it might be to other privacy conscious folks as well. Original: Account required.

The app is great but the constant notification on my watch that won't go away sucks. I don't need or want a notification to tell me an app is always running/in use. Please remove this stupid notification.
