Best Busybox app hands down! The pro version is definitely worth it. Even the self reinstall on reboot is very handy. It has not failed me yet. I am a little confused as if I have to use pro and the free version but I deleted the free version and just running the pro version and it works fine so you don't need both in my experience. Overall 10/10 would highly recommend

cracked download Still using this app since my Nexus5 (kk 4.4.4). Many years later, and many many Google/LG/OnePlus/Motorola phones later, there is still no better implementation of BusyBox for Android out there. No issues to date and that says much about the app.

download Over a year since an update, no word from the dev about outdated binaries but still available as a paid app. Yeah, that's a one-star rating.

busybox pro jrummy apk i remember using the free version a lot on my old Xperia Play. however i brought the pro version thinking i would need it in android 9 magisk and no, magisk has it's own busy box module. well, wasn't completely wasted money, since i did used (a lot) back in the day, so i finally paid up.

  7. Dylan Nicolle-avatar

no root bug: upon launching app and pressing the Install button, it asks if i want to enable auto-reinstall-on-boot. if i select no, the app does nothing at all and the install button seems broken. upon relaunching the app and pressing install, if i select yes then it installs just fine and i have to turn off the auto-reinstall-on-boot feature.

BusyBox Gold Standard! EDIT 03/2019: Latest update failed (dd: /system/xbin/busybox: Text file busy). Found the problem with `lsof | grep /system/xbin/busybox`: I had `crond` running, so I `kill`ed it, updated busybox and rebooted. All fixed!

only issue with update is that u had to delete busybox through twrp and reinstall, couldnt direct it to another folder as it uninstalled itself after reboot, had to use same folder as before update which was xbin, would delete itslef in bin, which is odd

Unbelievable this is still updated regularly after all these years, great work! All those people giving bad reviews claiming this doesn't work have to understand the install method will vary from phone to phone - some newer phones especially don't seem to allow for installation to the /xbin folder, meaning you'll have to install to /sbin or /bin after every reboot. This is the way android is built now and no fault of the Busybox developer, so what worked on your old phone may not work now. Sheesh, you'd think people rooting their phones would put a little effort into understanding the process before down voting a fantastic developer....

  54. Matthew Nickl-avatar

If you've ever used the terminal in Linux, BusyBox gives you that similar function by allowing your phone to do or take similar commands. Windows and Command Prompt? Same idea. Most cell phones are just that, a phone. They don't need a terminal that can take commands or a command prompt that can take commands. You might not need it, but the guy who gave you the custom Rom or root method to get you where you are now needed you to have it to make your root method or custom Rom flash even possible.

Won't install on my rooted Moto X

  66. Steve C.-avatar

I have no idea why I "need" this in my rooted custom ROM device, but here it is. No clear idea what it actually does. I actually had it removed from one device and everything worked normally and no other app complained about the lack of it. I've never actually had to open it, other than to perform the cumbersome update process, which is different from other apps. Thankfully it is not updated often.

For reasons unknown, everytime when I install using smart install + clean + symlink all, the mobile connection became disabled. Last time it's my LG G4 (Sprint), this time is Redmi 4X. I'm pre-warned that it can break things, not sure why it does it to different device too.

  79. Bo Krogsgaard-avatar

After my phone manufacturer shipped a firmware update with malware in the stock browser, and Busybox helped me fix it, it only feels right to go pro. Keep up the excellent work!

(Changed rating back to 5 star despite it not working, hopeful Dev will update for MagiskSU) Still not installing. Fails for default directories and states I'm not set up for systemless root when I'm running systemless root. I'm not switching back to SuperSU just for this.

I love the choose your app version to roll it back, the custom pathway to store the applets where I want, and the advanced users smart install choice which is pretty much the quick and easy way to install. And thanks for keeping it updated!
