    Still like the functionality of the bank. However after today's messy communication regarding change in subscription structures (and then backtracking somewhat after a huge storm of complaints), I question the trustworthiness of the management and future consistency of bunq.

    My free account (black Friday's "Premium Promo") was turned into a regular Premium account (€8 per month) without prior notice. The original promise they made in November 2018 was that Promo accounts will remain free. Stay away from this bank!

    Fantastic app! First time I manage to stick to my budget thanks to the easy to set up and easy to manage accounts. Recently the app has started crashing more often. That is something that is not acceptable as I am using bunq as my only bank. Will give 5 stars once that is resolved.

    Suddenly with no prior notification the Bunq Free subscription was cancelled and you are now forced to pay €8 per month. Really bad communication. I am closing my account. I hardly used it anyway.

    Without any explaination my bank account is blocked and when i sended a mail they give me an automatic bot reaction back, still lost my money from it and more than 80% of the people got the same problem, so don't use bunq unless you wanna lose money, the worst thing is their service, it's all an automates bot thst sends the same message over and over without the explaination about why it is blocked, i never write a review, but this is important for the people that wanted to try it

    It's not for a bank for the free. Can't use on the US only randomly selected countries to difficult to verify ID. Needs a lot of improvement not worth taking the time to download!

    In general, it's awesome app and awesome bank for private use. There are some bugs here and there, which might annoy but overall bank experience is cool in comparison with NL banks.

    What a shame they decided to change all subscriptions to atleast premium for 7,99 a month. After 3 years of paying 1 euro a month I am being forced to either pay 7,99 or leave. Bunch a bunch of a-holes!

    The worst bank! They mislead people into thinking they are planting trees in such a way that is better than if you join the organization that they partner with. In fact, if you take the 99€ yearly subscription and give it directly to the organization that actually plants the trees, you can be up to six times more effective than if you did it through Bunq, but the bank doesn't want you to know. There's a lot more! No space to write. Use a reputable bank!

    Bunq recently notified everyone about a big surprise to come. Waited for the midnight suprise, what was it? It was a new metal card Bunq says they will plant a single tree for every €100 you spend. The card itself cost €100 a year! On top of the premium I already pay it's €200 a year. No discount for premium members. I'd rather donate the €100 to charity and they'd plant more trees than a pathetic single tree for every 100 I spend. Trying to profit off climate change, nice Bunq. Very cool!

    Saved me when I forgot my wallet. From the app I enabled tap&pay within a few seconds and could pay this way. So far the experience is very good, although I would like more clear explanations on how certain features work and how they benefit me. A premium account is quite expensive however and the travel card doesn't include insurance of purchases made with the card. Doubting to cancel subscription.

    Terrible experience trying to open a joint account. Spent 6 (!) days talking to support trying to open a bank account, and to no result. Terrible UX, very badly implemented. Bunq product/development team really messed up. Not recommended if you want to open a joint account easily. My problem is still unsolved.

    Great until there's a bug and you have to talk to customer service. There's absolutely no interest in seeing the customer's problem. Their bug overstated my balance with 375euros. Three months later they took the money back. Unaware of this bug I spent according to my balance, which caused me to over spend by 375, and am now in the hole. I asked for a small patch for the inconvenience and they end up responding that if I don't top up my account they will impose sanctions.

    I've been using the Bunq Account (Joint) for few days now and I'm really impressed. So many great functionalities, staff very friendly and responsive, everything is smooth. :) I applied Monday morning and get my cards Thursday (France). I tried many banks like N26, Monese, and so on and Bunq is definitely the best one ! The only thing I regret is the price of the Green card (99€/year) which is not really justified compared to its benefits. Adding a complete travel insurance would be perfect.

    App installs fine. However, on trying to obtain a Travel Card, it allows me to upload my drivers licence fine but when it comes to the video, it just keeps timing out. I have perfect connectivity in all other apps (am connected by Wifi to home DSL when trying).




    Nice app, nice neo bank. Only default, the cost to pay one month after your registration. 8€ a month for keeping your card. For me, after few weeks, much better than N26 for example. It became my main online bank. Congrats!

    One of the best banking apps i ever seen. I am 15 and i saw bunch of them like moneese and other stuff like payoneer or paypal. They arent good as this is, no limits no feez, no hidden fees no anything. Im currently using travel card because im student but when i will start working i will for sure purchase premium. Awesome features as locking cards, i would only make blocking unblockable, like you need to send passport image your selfy and hand verification to unblock it.

    Great if you want to waste your time constantly uploading perfectly clear ID pictures and videos that the ap deems "unclear". My seriously visually impaired relative could see what I uploaded with no problems whatsoever. This ap is a total waste of time!

    I loved bunq, sadly haven't been able to use Tap & Pay after an update for over 4 months now. Reported it multiple times to support, but it does not get patched nor communicated.

    Scam... I paid for the travel card not realising to after that Monzo offer the same features for free. I instantly cancelled the card but no confirmation about the refund just the option to buy the card again with my account no £10 lighter. There's no way of contacting them without a confirmation response and there's no help on the questions about bunq refunds. Do yourself a favour and get Monzo and stay away from these scammers

    The worst, incompetent helpdesk ever. They don't speak dutch, they don't understand any questions, they only send you replies with a shipload of smileys (really!) and ask for a positive rating. About the app: does not work on a rooted phone. If you want to manage your account if, for instance, your phone is broken, or lost/stolen, there is now a web application, but this is a premium and therefore payed feature. Bunq is clearly not for me.

    Bad user experience, I tap on "Let's go!" Screen opens but nothing's happens, try to logout... Entered the pin.. result.. still logged in! Also took me 62652525 mins to find my IBAN... I think the UI could be approved so much Also I trusted that the payments would be instant, but currently between ING and BUNQ I'm waiting over several hours

    Very easy to use app. I like the fact that you can get 3 cards (either Maestro or MasterCard) with no extra cost. I have to be honest. I opened a bank account with another bank because of the fees of Bunq (8€ monthly), but then I realized I cannot get a MasterCard with the other bank as easy as I did with Bunq. The MasterCard that I have with Bunq has helped me to pay most of my online expenses (mostly for traveling). The fees may be high comparing to other banks. But guys, it worth it. 😉

    The basic card is valid only in EU countries and USA. The basic app will not specify the exchange rate should you want to pay in another currency. Whenever you do something, e.g. you top up your account the app will send you push notifications. Some of these notifications are annoying: "share the love" or share in social media you are using Bunq. In conclusion for a globally valid card, predictable exchange rates (and hopefully no spam to share) you have to buy a subscription upgrade.

    I've been trying to sign up for a week now. Each time I get to the passport verification stage the app stalls and then eventually I have a text message saying "contact Bunq support". I'm no idiot - my passport is valid and the photo I take has no glare nor any other problem. I contacted Bunq support and all they tell me is that I can't manually show them my passport is valid to complete sign up . So Bunq support doesn't help at all. I guess I'll go with N26.

    Bunq has a great philosophy and a straightforward business model without any venture capitalists behind them. The app has a nice UI, everyday banking business is typically done within minutes, and budgeting is super easy. On the downside, reaching out to the service team can involve long waiting times. During the last bigger issue causing payments to fail there were no notifications and threads on their forum were hidden. This is unnecessarily frustrating.

    After trying out Rabobank, ING, N26, Sparkasse and Deutsche Bank, I strongly recommend Bunq. The quality and amount of services you get is overwhelming. I have a shared account with my partner and use a card with dual pin, that allows me to pay for my purchase depending on the pin code used. I have auto saving enabled that rounds up every purchase and deposits the difference to this savings account. For a family vacation I opened a new account with 3 clicks and connected 3 cards to this account

    Using it for 4 days with the Travel Card. Gives the functionality needed and works well so far. Easy to transfer money to the card. Easy to contact bunq support from within the app and they respond very quickly. Really like the fact that it's recognised as a credit card whilst effectively being a debit card.     €8 a month as the only option? No thanks! There are better options out there. And the Green Card thing is one of the most ridiculous "offers" I've ever seen. €100 a year for a metal card? What metal is it, Titanium? And then ONE tree will be planted for every €100 spent? What tree would this be, teak? Unbelievable how companies are coming up with all sorts of schemes to charge money for services that are and should be free. And then sell a piece of metal for €100 annual subscription!!

    Payment got transfered from my account that I already paid - meaning I paid twice, which does not get admitted by the CSR, which I in turn understand since I know how CSR jobs in the technology branche work, due to being a CSR myself and having experience in the associated technology branche as a CSR, meaning in practice to never admit mistakes in full ('sorry to hear about this experience'), whilst these are clear mistakes - for which a refund was given, but never arrived (180 euro gone).

    After about six months using Bunq I find it hard to write this review because it sounds strange to say that for the first time I feel I have a bank that truly works with me and for me to allow an unprecedented level of control over my finances. Other banks have a challenge on their hands, once empowered consumers don't tend to go back to unnecessarily complicated alternatives.

    Need more transparency around fees. I had to install the app to find out that all of the accounts charge a monthly fee and that you have to pay a one-off fee of €9.99 for the travel card. Whilst these may (or may not) be reasonable, I am not prepared to pay them and wouldn't have wasted my time installing the app and going through the verification process had I known of the fees in advance. The word "free" is bandied about a lot in the description but the truth is that none of it is free.

    I literally clicked on an ad because it said "we'll plant a tree for every 100€ you spend". Sure, I can use a different card to do my shopping if that means it'll make a difference. But I have to pay a subscription fee for that card? And the free card does no good at all. It's very aesthetic and maybe you heart is in the right place but it just isn't working for me.

    Worst app and support. I've tried to verify myself with Norwegian residence ID (there was such an option) more then 10 times, it failed every time. Support told me that they will look into and fix the issue. Month after, nothing changed! Meanwhile, I asked support if I can use my Russian passport and they said yes. So I've tried to use it but this option is disabled in the app! Then the support told me to send passport to them, which I did, but guess what? NOTHING CHANGED! Don't waste ur time!

    You are asking too much information from new users of this app. I am probably not your core business clientel because I merely wish to use the handy "slice" functionality that is no longer available as a separate app. But asking me to make pictures of my identification card/drivers license AND having to make a 25 second video of my face and voice goes FAR beyond MY principals in terms of privacy. Goodbye bunq!

    I used to love them, their offer was FREE banking FOREVER. Then they stopped offering that plan to new users, no problem with that. As of today they are KICKING FREE USERS OUT by switching us to their paid plan against our will and breaking their own offer terms! On top of that they don't even own up to what they are doing and blame it on innovation! How condescending is that? If we wanted to upgrade to a paid account we'd have done that already. My ING account costs me less than 3 Euros a month, it's a solid institution with real physical branches across the country. You're a virtual bank and your strongest selling point (and your brand's motto) was being FREE. I don't want to pay to plant trees or have a colorful card, or less than half percent interest a year on the first couple thousand euros I hold with you. It's your business, you do whatever you want, but respect your clients, deliver on your promises, honor what you contract. People will not forget and your brand will be associated with distrust.

    I opened an account in this back. For two mouth or was great. One day without any notice they banned my account. I live in Netherlands but I have iranian nationally. They told they decided to close my account for the policies. Crazy team. Fool supporters. I asked them number to call but they told they don't have number. Just chat is possible.
