The app seems to be using your phone's GPS, gyroscope and your internet connection. Works very well for transferring contacts, files, photos, videos between different phones (I tested it with Motox and iPhone). It even seems to have API for integrating with other apps. Now that Google has bought them, I only see the apps growing.

before, bump was perfect, connected flawlessly to my computer and whatnot. now, when I try to send photos to my computer, it just says "loading" or something of the like forever. and when I try to transfer things from my computer to my phone, my phone says that it received it, but things like pictures don't save. kind of bummed out, because I tried other file-transferring apps, and this was the best one.

this app is wonderful. I love it. It makes sending pictures and apps and other tgings to my friends so easy. and I also have it on my ipad. I don’t have to email pictured to myself anymore. It is very sad to know that it is being shut down. I suggest putting adds on the free version. and you should advertise the paid version so more people know about it. Please don't shut down.

What do you mean shutting down? This is a great app. You need to only optimise it a bit. Make it a low resource consuming background process and allow people to bump without having to open the app. You cud totally make this awesome for non nfc phone.

This is a very useful app for times such as no cable. There are other apps for Wifi transfer and such but there may be times when those don't work and this one does. It needs some improvements here and there but shutting it down is gonna take away that chance.

Before I saw this app do it, I would have never thought this was possible. This is one of the best ideas I've seen for an app ever. It's amazingly simple to transfer a multitude of files through phones and computers via BUMP. Can't wait to see this app's future. No complaints here. Keep up the great work!

I use this all the time owning a DROID, iOS and Mac it's one of the most handy apps for transferring content between devices. Sad to see it go, I really wish Google would allow this app to stay but I guess we'll see

I am in a BYOD school district. The biggest issue we have had is sharing file between platforms, from student to student and student device to teacher computer. This app is the perfect solution. Thank you anonymous guy at the conference for introducing me to bump!

This app is upsetting me! I am trying to send pics from ios devices to my s4 and they send at first and state that my pics are being saved. When I return to my gallery, a whole bunch of the pics are missing and there's no option to save the pics otherwise! Please fix this issue. Not pleased.

We thought this was a safe and secure way to communicate with my young daughter's ipod. The ipod was locked down to prevent access to YouTube, Facebook, Internet etc. However, the ipod version allows a backdoor into all of these services so she set herself up with loads of accounts with no privacy settings. This is despite many discussions on Internet security both at home and at school. Ipod is now in the bin!
