    Constantly saying offline. No connection issue. No issue with batteries. App just not working. Having to reboot/recheck all the time. Makes a mockery of being "wireless" - Update. Still having issues. App constantly saying Offline. Spent hours on-line with their Customer Support who take me through the same process as the App does. Basically unless your Router has direct line of sight to your boiler and you position Thermosat next to them. Do not bother. 6 months and still not working.

    s The basics are there but the actions are limited by the logic choices. For example, no choice for "if motion sensor has not sensed motion in X minutes" but i asume this would require a little more processing power than the simpler "if sensor tiggers, do X". I also havent seen a parental level or any sort of tiered control meaning that when you give a family member access to hive then they naturally have access to mess with all the lights in the house. It isnt a bad app, and it is functional.

    world App says the thermostat is offline. My wireless thermostat is connected to the boiler and I can use the thermostat to turn the heating on but the app will not find the thermostat. On the Hive website they say that "Hive is the highest rated smart home app in UK. with 4.6 Stars" but the apps rating is now down to 4.0 and falling. They need to sort this out!

    deutsch Major bugs, every time the hub needs a rest all quick actions default the values. It then won't allow me to save them when I amend. When I use the app for the heating i have to manually refresh the app to show it's done anything. Sort it come on. When a quick action is used to say boost 2 hours and the tick comes up, the app should auto refresh so I don't have to do it manually 2-3 times. I am even tempted to switch brands as this is just utter rubbish.

    outdoor Cannot change schedule, any modification spinning icon on save or apply button, and not clickable. Give up after a few minutes of waiting. Want to give it a good score, but even to open the app to turn the lights on/off takes longer than it took for the fossil fuels to form that power the said light. It's shocking, it needs to be quicker and more user friendly than a single touch of a traditional light switch/plug/central heating control unit, in order for it to be an improvement.

    mc Sensors Very Unreliable. I use Hive for home heating & hot water; remote access and control work well enough with a few glitches. Door sensors are another matter: In the 5 months I've been using them one has "disappeared" a couple of times and I've had to reset. But the real problem is NOTIFICATIONS: over 2 releases these have simply disappeared so I don't know when doors are opened (but I can still see the status). Hive says "can't help - go on to forum" which is no support for the app at all!

    mq Every time I open the app it pesters me about two factor authentication. I don't want this feature, I don't care how good you think it is, I don't want it. It's my phone, my house, my camera stop badgering me about something I don't want. The products have been quite unreliable too, the camera crashes regularly and none of the door sensors work after 5 months.

    blockchain Overall good when working but had major support issues earlier in the year. App buggy in certain areas, occasionally if I lose power or disconnect my hub I find when I then reconnect this seems to lose some of my pre-set actions in the app and I have to reprogram them. Also I sometimes get actions on a permanent tick on opening app. App could also do with an overhaul. I have so many devices now that it really could do with a benefit overall - grouping lights, heating, sensors, plugs perhaps.

    ncy What has happened? App was working OK last time I used kt a week age or so, now when I open the app it gives me a welcome screen. And wants numbers from the hub. Its in my loft and not easy to access. Why do I need to setup again?? Will rip out and install Nest if this persists. Husbands app has done the same..

    spiel Having not used my heating since the beginning of the year I was annoyed to find one of the updates has disassociated all my devices which now have to be reregistered. Nice one Hive, you could have at least had the courtesy to advise customers you would be doing this. Also why no option to use an authenticator app for the 2FA rather than the box ticking method you've implemented. Update: 24 hours later and all my devices have appeared without me having to reregister them, +1 star for this.

    Got only one problem, WHY DOES THE END TIME FOR THERMOSTAT SCHEDULE CAN ONLY BE SET TO THE NEXT DAY? Trying to understand this for 2 days and still unable to set the start and end time on the same day. This needs to be fixed, do not need the boiler to run this long at all.

    Hive view doesn't work properly with my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, the sound and microphone doesn't seem to work when live with the Hive view, spoken to customer care and they said a technical will contact me, that was over a week ago (and that was after the put the phone down on me twice, I wasn't even complaining or being rude, I just wanted to get it working). Works fine with my girlfriends IPhone. Tried with my friends Samsung Galaxy S20 plus and same issue. Please fix this issue.

    I got myself a new phone, and now I am unable to connect the cameras to the app!!. I uninstall to reinstall but didn't work, the cameras are only just over 2 years old !! So a waste of money as, I am unable to use them!.. very disappointed. I also did change my broadband provider so I not sure if that also had an effect.!!

    Been using hive for 2 yrs then one evening the app wouldn't work. They blocked phones using older versions of android from using the app. Im left with a load of useless expensive smart devices. Can't recommend as they have just cost me hundreds of £ and now need to get a plumber to rip out the thermostat. Cheaper option then buying a new phone. Hive have said in the advertising that using their thermostat will help reduce your carbon footprint. Not if you have to buy a new phone!

    Since the update, the widgets have become huge but no additional information is displayed, just a lot of white space. Who approved this change? The interface is very simplistic, but does the job without any bells and whistles. Cannot comment on integration with other Hive products. Biggest problem though is the restriction on only having 3 on/off cycles for heat and hot water. Cannot understand why you can't have more. Regret purchasing this because of this fact alone.

    Unable to save schedule changes since update !!!! Lessons have obviously not been learned, not good at this time of year when timing need to be modified regularly. Updated on Hive Dashboard no problems so definitely the app. Update Uninstall and restart worked but not great having to do this Thanks for your help

    Since the update the app does nothing but crash and wont let me log in. When I do eventually get in my hive isn't there, when I go to install it, it keeps telling me my hub doesnt exist, then asks if I'm sure im using the right I D , it's on the back and I can read so yeah I'm bloody sure. Absolute shambles cannot set anything now.

    Good useful app but the camera live view has a bug. If you put it in live view and turn your phone for full screen if you move your phone even a billion'th of a millimetre it turns back to portrait mode. Ohh and the sounds don't work on the external camera ie you can't play sounds out of it like dog barking like you can on the indoor one.

    To put it Simply, it doesn't work. I've reset it several times, I've tried using the support option and it doesn't get past the light colour question. Im not entirely sure how anyone gets it to work. So far its been a waste of time and money.

    Mostly good; could be A LOT better for landlords. Specifically the lack of a landlord pin lock is a massive disappointment, and why I'm likely to remove Hive from my holiday cottage (guests often turn the heating up to 28 degrees and constant, and you can't do anything about it without constantly turning it down, at which point they disconnect the internet!). I'd also like to see more options in the Actions menu. One which said, "When temperature exceeds X turn off heating" would be good.

    After I got my hub working with my new thermostat and receiver the app works fine. Setting schedules is really easy and I like the boost feature. Some of the troubleshooting wizards failed to work properly which made the setup of the hardware frustrating.

    Needs an update sometimes fails to detect motion or load when you click on live and you want to watch the baby and what hes doing etc. Sometimes detects motion or sound 10 minutes after actually going in and getting the crying baby and then it detects it. Good overall after it has updates. I've given it one more star than before.

    Very low audio in Hive view outdoor. Using the app on 5 different android devices I get almost no audio on live view and only quiet audio during playback. This is with volume at max. Contacted Web chat but they ended the chat after trying the obvious things like reinstall, reset, ect. I'd rather not be passed between hive support on different platforms to try the same generic trouble shooting and would prefer software update to fix the problem that I see plenty of others having.

    Old app was good but in 2019 they updated and removed useful features, like widgets. 27.1.20 Showed offline and no longer worked. Regret getting Hive. Eventually sorted but after several roundabout phone calls with useless help staff. Problem was on their end. Go for Nest if possible. 6.9.20 App is a bit buggy, quite often resets the heating boost temp to 16°c, so initially boost does nothing. Despite Hive's reply in Jan 2019, there are no new widgets to choose from.

    Why have you added two factor authentication? It was fine before and having to have a code via text to log in to an app like Give is ridiculous. There are other ways to tighten security, look at banking apps - no text code. Try authorising devices?

    Feels like a lot of money spent for something that doesn't work well. Have hive for less than 3 weeks, and despite multiple uninstalls and reinstalls, the app just won't adjust the heating at all.

    Poor design: it does not show the room temperature, "manual mode" settings are not refreshing, "boost mode" values change do not work, the GUI is basic, old and dull. Integration with Alexa mostly is working. They should put some more work into it.

    It's an okay app, I think the scheduling feature is very clunky and difficult to use, it is very difficult to schedule monitoring starting at night and ending the next day. I would also like to see compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Samsung Smart Things.

    I am not prepared to discuss a technical issue through social media. I already used the web chat and was told that it was a Google issue. I contacted Google and they said it was a developer issue. I am fed up going round in circles. If you want more details you know my email address and phone number. To me the issue is a simple one. The only Hive version available on the Play Store through the Chrome OS is a legacy one. Fix it!

    daily disconnection issues...constantly uninstall and reinstall. For the price I paid for the whole kit, this app and the whole hive system is shocking. Wish I kept my old Honeywell system...basic but at least it worked

    The app is HUGE. 150MB just to connect to a remote service to adjust heating? Madness. Really dislike how it has to connect to hives site, you can't use it just within your local network.

    Since we installed Hive we have had more and more issues. Currently the app does not update meaning that we have to use the thermostat to control the heating etc All very frustrating and disappointing..

    App has stopped linking to Hive, I can control the hearing via the thermostat but when I use the app and unexpected error occurs. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, it has just stopped working.

    Before the update this app was great. Now its been about a month the app lags and now most of the time it doesnt show the sensor notifications and then now it constantly alerts me door is open even though it is closed and it stays on open for the door sensor.

    The camera is great the problem is you can hear sound perfectly on playback but you can't hear sound when you go to live View plus when you talk to someone oand someone trys to talk back the sound is there but to low to hear one another this seriously needs to be sorted out

    App is OK, but soooo annoying that it logs into the 'thermometer page' every time you go in. You have to switch page to get to the HOME page, every time. Otherwise would get 5*, but issue is soooo annoying.

    This app does not work on my phone -Fairphone II. It will only let me input the first 3 characters of the hub id. This means I can't connect and so the hub is only usable from my tablet. Pointless, really.

    Open from widget..always opens to home page (no matter that i closed app on zone 1). Open from icon...opens to zone 1 (where i closed app). Please fix this bug so that app opens on page that i closed on...even if i use widget to open! Thanks.

    Golden rule with hive app if its working don't update it....I have the hive 1 from 2015..only updated it when I had to..when I changed my boiler in 2018...then it crashed. Till a update worked in 2019 ..not updated since..

    Frustrating! I click on boost say for 1hr, heating comes on, then switches off after 10/15 mins or so?? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and always the same?? The app/Hive system worked well until recently, but no longer? I am considering ripping it all out and switching to Nest!

    Very flakey. I love my hive home smart things. But the app is very hit and miss. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It sticks on updating more often than not. Trying to set thermostat and rad valve temps takes forever, if it works at all.The lighting control seems to have given up the ghost altogether. And saving settings usually doesn't work. Thank god Alexa can still control my heating, valves and lights or I'd be stuffed. I would appreciate any feedback from Hive on these issues.

    App is t showing "updating" continuously. This happens 70% to 80% during day time. In the evenings all the time. Help and service status also not working at these times through the app. My router is working fine as my CCTV and alarm system are fully accessible both locally and remotely. Issue may be that hive servers are unstable and inadequately supported. This could be a great system if it was available 24x7. Right now my investment in hive heating and sensors is completely wasted.

    Generally, a great app. However, my Quick Action for turning on/off a light keeps corrupting. The only way I've found to fix it is to delete the action and start again. Had to do this many times now and it's clearly a bug. Shame, as everything else works fine.

    I just want to turn the heating on and now you are sending me a code to my mobile to access the app, I copy the code and it is rejected! Why make life so complicated! Every hive product I have bought had been a complete nightmare.

    This app is useful but could be improved. Recent 10/07/2020 app upgrade resulted in loosing app login settings so I need to reenter username and password while away. The app and backend web site used to report via email when hub connection was lost. Since last few years with hub3 rollout, hub2 can go into hung state resulting in offline status in app. Users find this later when trying to remotely manage. Support cannot fix this remotely do users must visit and power cycle the hub to fix!

    No matter what I do I cannot get an action to alert me between midnight and 6AM the next day, whenever I try to set it up on one day it screws up the other days, the interface is not logical. Also the signal fron the door sensor if often reported incorrectly in the app.

    Missing features. It's a shame I can't track the temperature on the app in the same way I can when I log in via the Web. It's also a massive shame that I can't see for how long my heating was running for each day. That's not as simple as looking at a temperature graph increase : some increases in my house area purely from solar gain through the windows.

    It's great some of the time it's a bit unreliable lights turn on most of the time and heating too but then all of a sudden it stops working and right now I'm deleting the whole house and starting again as it's doing its half of it works and the other half doesn't routine! So another wasted 2 hours setting it all back up again! When it works it's great though!

    Been using Hive for around 6 years now. No matter which phone I've had, the android App has been very poor. It works 60% of the time. Currently have a p30, so a decent modern phone. You have to reboot the phone up get the App to work. Every single time. It's useless. It's frustrating. Feels like the entire system is held together by sticky tape and elastic bands.

    Very poor app/system. Set up actions using a sensor no longer work correctly. I have a light set to turn on for 3 minutes at 50% brightness when the sensor detects movement. (night time light) this no longer works correctly, the light turns on when motion is detected but never turns off. Very poor, I am very unhappy with this system.

    It's okay but I am disappointed because if you use the thermostat in manual mode then you can't track for how long was the heating system on during the day. I know that is a history of the heating temperature but I don't know if the central heating system was on for 1 or for 10 to reach and maintain the desired temperature.

    I can't seem to set a schedule for my lights anymore in the app. As soon as I set a time for on and off for a certain day I hit the button to replicate this for the rest of the week. The whole schedule changes to being on 24 hours. This used to work flawlessly, any ideas? Ok I have now tried what you asked me to do and still no change. The app changes all my schedules when i save it and replicate again.

    Hive used to be ok, but the new wireless 360 hub has slowed down the system immensely. What used to be relatively quick with the old wired hub now takes an age. There was always a second or so delay when turning on/off lights, but the new hub can regularly take 10+ seconds to respond. Plus the app now loses lights on the dashboard regularly and has a 10 second updating lag every time you open it. Finally, integration with Google home seems to be a lot worse than it used to be.

    There is an issue with the security of the app, fingerprint and pin work, but if you go back into the app a second time using fingerprint all you get is a small going round and not loading the app, you have to close window before it let's you back in. Tried sending email with screenshots but I get message from hive saying no one there to help, well that's not a lot of use.....

    Is there even a Hive development team? I've had this system for years now and it seems stagnant. It doesn't even have basic functions like being able to save heating schedule profiles for different times of the year (it assumes we want the same all year round). I have to manually change all the settings twice a year for my 'summer' and 'winter's settings. Hive say I can 'suggest' this. Why not just implement it? Dropped the review to 1 star. Hive needs to spend less on PR and more on app dev.

    I've had Hive for a few years now and it has worked very well. Support used to be excellent. Over the last year I've had a couple of problems and now find that support is almost non existent. The telephone helpline has been disconnected and support pages have not been properly maintained. Searching FAQs and the Community Support throws up irrelevant topics and asking for support is limited to 255 characters. I am now actively looking to replace it because support is so woeful. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

    Could be better. Although I can manually switch the lamp on and off using the app, the scheduling part doesn't work and hasn't done for months. When are hive going to sort the scheduling issue out? I have contacted the hive team on 3 separate occasions and they couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. You only have to Google it to see numerous people complaining about the same issue.

    Latest update has fixed the issue where it took 21 seconds to load to the first screen (device list), then a further 4 seconds once I selected the thermostat. Now all it needs is a fix for the way the screen partly slides to the Schedule screen when you try to scroll the temperature. It allows you to have half of the Temperature screen and half Schedule - not the end of the world, but it looks messy and continuing the slide doesn't move the heading until you get all the way across to Actions.

    Your app doesn't detect to the settings I applied...I setup to All Motion and High sensitivity and it misses so many times when people are around and cars but gets hundreds of shade and wind recordings that are useless...all I care for is the people and cars recordings because I use this cam as security...please fix ASAP! Your app is pathetic it can't even detect a human!!!!!!

    Plenty of space for improvement, it would be nice to have temperature variation chart as well as a graph where we can see how often and how long the boiler is firing for... now we have even less control than before in deciding how much fuel we want burn... Kind of defeat the purpose of introducing technology to reduce carbon footprint. It's so weird that you don't want introduce these features...and I'm not the only one highlighting this issue as I've seen other feedbacks saying the same

    App is ok but the products it controls are very unreliable yet BG keep selling them. Sensors are the biggest waste of time as they don't turn off auto lights and now I'm experiencing the stuck in start up 360 hub issue so many others have reported. If I hadn't invested over £500 I would be long gone!

    Generally a good app but just bought some window sensors. Had to reboot hive hub before they would update status properly but now action times won't save in the app keep going back to default times.

    Every time you update this app you break it... I've been using it for years now and would have swapped if i wasn't so heavily invested in Hive products. I can't access View Outdoor or Indoor via 4g at all (only wifi) - Go Live just will not ummm - Go Live. Detection zones are pointless as it just detects almost everyone outside my zone, but yet when my neighbour pops my bin back in my garden it never seems to pick him up. Head in my hands tbh 🙈🙈

    Hive is very easy to use, especially when your not technically minded like myself. My husband and I love the fact that we can put it on before we get home and therefore don't have to go home to a chilly house. Great for early mornings too, have it on for an hour so that we're not cold getting ready for work.

    Hive has been working fine, until I decided to get Hue and try and link them. My hive hub won't detect my Hue bridge. Both hubs work fine independent of each other although hive just won't detect Hue at all. Seems like it could be an app issue as I've tried everything and CS would probably just tell me to repeat the same steps.

    Set schedule for light to come on in my bedroom to see if it works when I'm not home. But when I turned off the schedule and saved it so not to keep turning the light on. The light is still turning on even though I turned the schedule off in the app. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I've now uninstalled the app and will not install again until this problem is fixed. if something is saved not to turn on the app shouldn't be doing the opposite to what I don't want it to do!!

    Was working great until the last update. Now I can't set the colour on my bulbs as a group I have to set each one individually. This is incredibly annoying and a step backwards. Very disappointing a bug like this got past your QC do you even test the updates before release?

    My review: this app does not save the schedule or copy days. Is this something you know about? This probem has been happening for weeks maybe months. I only noticed when in spring I wanted to change to different temps. Yes I can use the thermostat or the webpage but they are not the app.

    Stopped working following last update. App no longer controls heating. Need to use manual thermostat. It asks me to login and enter hub ID but when I do so, the hub ID is not recognised. Still doesn't work after deleting app, restarting phone and reinstalling.

    We use the app for two outdoor cameras. I think it could be a lot better. There really should be a record screen function, makes no sense to watch something happen, not know if it's recording.

    Generally very good, only real issue is every time the app is updated I lose my groups. This frustrating & something I could do without. Now one of 2 motion sensors won't log any events, even after resetting both hub & the sensor itself

    Claims to work with Philips Hue bridge, but app fails to find newly purchased Hue system with included Hue bridge. Tech support "tips" were typical "is it powered on" useless advice. Tried to contact tech support, via web portal and can't send no matter which web browser I tried. They stopped selling bulbs in North America??? Which shouldn't be a big deal since they CLAIM they can control Hue bulbs through the Hue bridge, but I'm not having any luck.

    Hive is a complete waste of money, I've had nothing but bad experiences from start to finish. Originally had a hive hub 360, the connection kept dropping and required frequent power cycles, that was replaced by a standard wired hub, no refund was offered for the difference in price. The wired hub worked until recently but now looses connection 3 or 4 times a day. I wrote a letter to complain which hive rejected to answer and pointed me back to their non existent support

    WARNING - WAIST OF MONEY The Hive hub 360 is a waist of money it sends notices if you flush your toilet but ignors smoke detectors and " alarms" ( I've got the settings set correctly). You pay a premium to buy all the devices and then have to pay a monthly subscription for full use . Heating features always fail and loose connection even with TWO signal boosters installed in my home. WAIST OF MONEY. BE WARNED !!!

    App is STILL buggy. I set the protect temperature on the thermostat to 12deg. When heating is out of schedule or 'Off', the app sets the protect temperature to 7deg. Why?

    June update broke the live view. No longer goes to live pictures even after resetting the camera. Recording still works no problems. Latest update failed to fix not going live problem.
