Reviews From google play store

I used to love this app. However, recent update has many bugs such as laggy transition between workout and video playback error (buffer bar keep moving yet the video stopped). The most annoying bug is I can't post my workout due to error code connection timed out & api exception (note: my internet is working fine), hence I can't finish the workout. This app has many potential, and I have my faith on you guys to fix this issue faster than me doing Aphrodite.

Good training when it works. Despite what their support articles say the app DOES NOT WORK OFFLINE. Starting a workout offline results in the 5 second countdown animation playing, but then it just gets stuck on "Go!" until you close the app or it crashes on its own. If you train in a basement or in a deadzone outside, you'll have to just work off the list of exercises and use things like your phone timer and another gps run app. Apparenly its been a bug since 2017, check reddit

Have been using the app now 2 months and like the results. It was a little buggy at first but still very useable. The past 2 weeks or so it crashes every time I use it and is very frustrating!! Great concept but not sure if I can continue in it's present state. 2 stars now. 5 if it runs correctly.

After the last update (Oct 30th, 2019) the app is hanging when starting a workout, warmup, cool down. It is really annoying and making the app almost not usable. Not sure if it had anything to do with thr problem, but I am located in China, maybe some network related issue? Let me know if I can help providing logs or other useful information to help fix the bug. Once the issue is solved I will change my review

This app with the coach is amazing. But unfortunately the new update keeps on freezing. Tried my workout today (I have no data or signal where I do my workouts, and used to do the workouts offline, and they automatically used to update when I had a connection or wifi) but now it can't be done and kept on freezing. Had to take screen shots of my workout. Please fix this ❤ it's such a shame because all of the Freeletics apps are amazing.

The time differences shown during the workout are all over the place and they practically mean nothing. I felt that something was confusing about them but just rolled with it. Today I my secont to last exercise show +9 during the workout but then I finished the workout with +2, but on the result screen the exercise had +3 and the last one had -1, where the +9 came from I have no idea. This is just confusing as hell and discouraging...

This app is seriously awesome! Esp the coach. So cool. My only request is that you make the interval breaks adjustable. Sometimes I feel like I can blast through the intervals way faster and need to wait for the 60 seconds to run on their own. It'd be nice to be able to increase/decrease as needed.

After 3 months of downloading, i finally got the paid version... I am addicted... Interface is super friendly and the workouts are quite gruelling... I confess, i haven't had a real workout for over a year now and I am feeling very nice about myself ever since I have started. It is a great tool to kill the procrastinator in your mind.. And it costs hardly anything.

I think the app is awesome. But for a student like me who can't afford a one time payment is a thumbs down. Maybe if there's an option that I can pay it monthly for 3,6,12 months is better. Maybe this could help in the future for like me who wants to pay a monthly or weekly payment rather than a one time payment.

After the update the performance of the app is terrible. You need to know that in some parks the internet connection 4G mobile data is very weak and we need an option to download the workout. In the past even without signal I could worked out nowadays it's awful.

Its really helped me improve my overall strength and fitness. The degree of accountability it adds and the variety of workouts keeps things interesting and challenging. Have noticed a big difference.

Great App! Bern using for almost a year now, without any issues, but lately it keeps crashing and once I start something it's not continuing to the next exercise or gets stuck at the end of the countdown.. Please fix this I am using a OnePlus 6 With the latest version of Android and Freeletics

It takes user feedback to adjust recommended training difficulty and equipment. Great for starters like me or pros that look for quick home coaching options. Besides, it's cheaper than a gym membership in the long run.

Very nice app, well balanced fitness journeys. Very limited way to give a feedback to the coach. It seems that the app doesn't consider that I'm woman and can't perform some of the excercises proposed.

Lots of programs with or without equipment. Solid app with good UI and it's connected to Google Fit. Could be cheaper, but hey – Black Friday deals somewhat make up for that.

The idea is brilliant BUT.... Should be able to pay monthly, even doing it 3 months in one go can be a hefty charge for some.. I won't be using the app because of this!

After new update app is crashing and hanging a lot. I was not able to do today's workout properly because of that. Please fix it. Thank you

Love the app! Very encouraging, which is what I needed to stick to my workout. Definitely breaking a sweat...

My experience: the app is good, haven't used it that much bıt that's because of my lack of discipline, but my PT gave me very similar training. Noteworthy experience: the app renews subscription withouy headsup, surely to be corrected. Yet after writing to customer service immediately, they solved the problem. Might consider enrolling after my PT program.

I love this app, but it seems recently it doesn't work offline this really frustrating as my gym has bad reception and no WiFi. It used to work perfectly before this update please fix it.

As a single mom who is limited to my schedule and with not much help this app is perfect for me I never have to leave my home to go to a gym and I don't need any equipment besides my own body it's perfect for me I'm so happy I came across this

The app is so laggy. I spend most of my time waiting for the app to load. How can this brings me any benefit? I subscribed this app to change myself. This ends up waste of money

Its really challenging. Would be nice if you get like a free month of the nutritional part when you pay for the first month workout... just a thought 😂

For a paid app, I would've expected much more than it delivers: - I would have expected drills to have a voice-over saying what to do and how many reps. This is quite basic. - The single exercises section is arranged by name, and not by body parts. This makes no sense at all. - Most exercises don't display the body parts they focus on. Why? All in all, I would explore alternatives once my subscription ends

The first training journey was fine, tough in places but always feasible (or not far off it). However, I'm on my fifth week of my second training program, and the coach doesn't seem to have picked up on any of my feedback that almost every exercise is preposterously easy. I contacted customer support and they gave me some nonsense about how I should just "keep using feedback". If you actually read this you would know I have contacted support. Very poor customer service.

App seems okay but I can't purchase any plan due to errors (can't connect to Play Store. Error 101).

I started working with the Freeletics APP about a year ago. I really like the way the coach sees your progress and gives you exactly what you need. The workouts are so varied that I never get bored. You don't need an hour in the Gym 5 days a week. 25-40 min workouts, 3-4 times a week gets the job done. The buddy needs the rest after the workouts. I see the results on my very fit body these days. I have the body of myself when I was 20 years old. And... I feel better mentally. Try it!!

Far too restrictive with few options for workout feedback; i.e. the only way to say an exercise was difficult is to give the entire session a poor grade. There's also no way to skip exercises. For example, I can't do 90 sit-ups and mountain climbers due to physical restrictions (which I noted in the app) so when I skipped those exercises it assumed I completed them and gave me a personal best record for time.

Excellent work out app if you don't have equipment. You can easily modify the weekly workouts to achieve the goal you want, strength, endurance, weight loss, etc. I've using the app for over 2 years now because I travel and don't always have access to a gym. It's been great and upgrades to the app over the years I've used it make you push your workouts and achieve new records. We'll worth the yearly subscription. Oh and one other thing I like you can pay once a year if you like.

I purchased this app to get into overall better shape. 5 stars for exercise variation and quality. 0 stars for progression. You get NO feedback from an actual human when having difficulties. 100 percent would not reccomend this app unless you are already flexible and in reasonably good shape. I will not renew my coach after this 12 week program is complete.

This app has been life changing, have been using it for around a month and i have seen rapid changes in my body, the start to end of a session is well laid out preventing any injuries or soreness in my opinion. The leg days are dreaded one's but i have never felt soreness after any session and the changes have been drastic. Highly recommended.

Great app, used it for just under a year now and am really enjoying it. Started with just the body weight regime and then moved to the barbell sessions. Have seen great results from both. My one complaint would be the lack of integration into other fitness apps so I can track all my activity but that would be being picky.

Used before but it has been improved a lot to integrate coached running into the core package.

Be careful to cancel before auto renewal. I'm sure the app is great but it has an auto renewal which people generally tend to forget as it's due after 3 or 6 months. I haven't used the app in ages and suddenly got a withdrawal notification of €59.99. Upon requesting to cancel and refund they said that it's not possible. Cancelling your subscription is not very intuitive and seems the interface is intentionally designed as such. Prompt customer service but what's the point! Not happy!

This App is brilliant, what would make it better would be the ability to come up with custom workouts, by trailing together single exercises as well as a more in depth stretching program;either as a flexibility WOD or like the 8/12 week training programs with more instruction and development. Also for the skills, if there was more advice such as regressions of each skill, providing a step by step process to master each skill. Cheers

I love having directed workouts but do not feel they are tailored to my abilities. There is no way to make contact for questions. After 6 weeks off, it started me very close to where I ended rather than checking my current abilities and starting from there. Tried a new workout series and it was much too intense, not for a beginner as stated and didn't assess me the first week as was suggested. I've invested so will use the workouts with modifications during my subscription but won't renew.

Great concept great set of excercises. Love the plan, and looking forward to seeing how the coach adapts. Big downside is no timebetween cooldown streches to change position so timing of stretches looses its point at least 5 sec countdow to change the position would be awesome... Actually applieas to all timed excercises

The recent update deteriorated the performance.. The app freezes many times and effecting the excercises

Best fitness experience in any app. As good as a personal trainer but with your own motivation.

Its a tidy app good for statistics, keeps you motivated, rather dependable clean app. Freeletics makes me feel very good in general, never suffered any related injuries but i notice it tends to be a little hard on joints. (Double entendre intended)

App is great, plans are well designed and easy to follow. Would be nice if some functionalities were enhanced: better treadmill support or workouts like apptiv has would be great add. Also, I'm not quite sure how to integrate freeletics with freeletics gym, so my plan would adapt to weights, etc

Love this app. Really helped me back into exercising after years away. Could you please put a few seconds delay between warmdown exercices though? It bugs me I don't get me full stretch time in cos i'm remembering what the next one means and moving into position. Cheers!

Four weeks and 9 lbs later I finally took the time to sit down and review this life-changing app. Hey everyone: IT'S WORTH IT. I bought a membership on a whim, and now they got a returning customer. The speed by which you can see results (physical, performance and mental) is breathtaking. The complimentary nutrition app is just an added bonus. My only suggestion: PLS fix the GPS system to track runs in close spaces, it usually gives me an error and I end up using an ind. running app.

Loving it. I paid for the 12 weeks, will likely extend it, dropped 6kg so far (Jan 2019). Update October 2019 - Now down 13kg. Update - Won't be renewing at cost of over $50 per 3 months. Shame, great if more affordable.

worst app. No auto next exercise option. do not work well even with good internet connection.

Does not sufficiently show you that subscriptions will automatically renew. BEWARE of their subscriptions and any special offers because they include automatic renewal! Also, what you get for that subscription I deem insufficient for the costs of that subscription.

Good app with good plans. Let's pin point the type of workout you want and creates a nice schedule. Regarding sore body parts it should take in account joints as well and elaborate the plan to strengthen them.

Very good but needs more progressive exercises for getting advanced skills (eg doing negative hspu to help build up for hspu), as well as just having more advanced skills and mobility/flexibility included. Great for getting me to this level though.

So far so good! Needed something to get me back into a regular workout after 2 yrs. Warmups and cooldowns good, workouts so far so I feel it the next day but want to go on. Videos explain the exercise techniques in a concise and easily understood manner.

Best workout app there is. Only bad thing is that you don't have enough time to switch to different positions at some workouts.

Although, I have to admit it's a good application, its heavy use of the Internet connection makes it difficult to use it in basements.

Great guidance..helps to keep focus in the gym. Wish there was a setting for running on the kept thinking I was running outside which was throwing off my distance

The paid version is not flexible at all - training plan is very rigid and not customizable as others have mentioned. Would not recommend this app at all for paid version

Excellent app! You will never get bored with it. There are different types of trauning every week. Excellent exercises to strengthen the core

Subscription done for a year, was not using the app for a while. Unable to restart the journey. Messages: already purchased. Please help.

Keeps hanging so pointless for working out. I signed up with the offer which does not warn you about automatic renewal, of course they won't offer a refund for this even after I cancelled immediately.

I contacted support and tryed leg limitations. But it looks like jump exercises cannot be removed. That limits who and where this app can be used.

It won't track my running. It tracks 80 meters and then tells me I have bad GPS. Fitbit and runkeeper can track the same trip.

renew contracts without warning for a whole year... on request, the customer is not offered any goodwill... the app itself has lots of bugs and loses training progress of the current exercise

Paid app. You need subscription to go beyond basics

These are bad people to do business with, and their support staff/email won't help you. Find a local gym instead. The app broke after a previous update. Finally managed to get back into the app yesterday. Found they'd charged me that day for another 6mo. And that there's no way to cancel through the app. Contacted support. They wouldn't refund the same-day charge for their broken app. Canceled with them and I start with my new gym tomorrow morning. These guys are no good. Find a local gym.

I like the coach but you have to kind of cater for injuries yourself. I don't think the tech is ready to have the camera watch what you do and asses yet, but I'm happy after week 1

No trial workouts before you start a subscription. I'm not giving out 40$ before I can test it on my device

The name is misleading. The app is free to download but the content is not free.

Reasonably priced, good mix of workouts, you can listen to your own music.

App not working nor via PC. Have emailed support numerous times and received no response. At this stage its bordering on a scam.

Couldn't login. My subscription was valid till December 2019. When I tried to log in it says account not found.

Tracking my run stops at random but the time goes on. Please reply to this review once it is fixed. Same is happening with the running app

So far, I've really enjoyed using the app and have seen results in both my fitness and physique!

This app is great, it guides you through workouts and designs them in a way that you can handle.

Really easy to follow. Just setup your training program and tap away while exercising.

I got a freeze bug in Loading screen when I started to open it please fix it.

I just downloaded freeletics hoping to try it out for a trial before I buy it but I cant seem to find a free trial button. Can gove more stores when I give my I initial review.

Love the ease and the guidance. The training is custom and worth it.

I you want to improve your overall fitness, this is the kick start app. Try it.

Awesome workout app.. You can see the results if you follow this app properly.

Love this app. Been struggling with workout routine for couple of years. But this app definitely change my workout routine!

Been doing it for a few months and you would probably gain more with weights but this is just far easier to get going and not put it off.

I love the app, just you need to be slightly motivated by yourself too, if you can be committed...this app will do wonders!

Does not have exercises grouped by muscles and you cannot record exercises done manually

I am using the freeletics app now for x2 years now and i am happy with the app. Will recommend freeletics to any one.

Crash when i did half of my run and there is no way to continue where i left off

Why is your app called "free"letics if the very first thing you have to do to get started is pay? Edit: Didn't expect you to actually reply. Nice. I've downloaded the app again and will give it another go.

"Freeletics" needs to pay to see exercises Edit-well ok you can do it for free i think its just the more advanced training you need to pay idk,

Really like the feedback then adjust coach type, really well done to the dev team

App freeze up cant get training done!!

I started enjoying exercise with Freeletics. Able to move at my pass but it has also tested my limits

Can you re add feature for viewing pace/time/speed on running result. After updating i lost that feature.tks

Great workouts for home to get in shape. The workouts will killick your butt but effective.

A wealth of information. However, the app needs more manual control over finished workouts. For me, I look at what I need to do set my phone somewhere, and do it. Won't spend the whole routine pressing start and stop and staring at my phone every exercise. Just want to mark it complete at the end. Overall, great workouts and nutrition. App has room for improvement.

Freeletics helps more in improving my health & stamina

The video sometimes not working.

After devouring all the reviews, I've decided to go for 3 months and it turned out this is pretty much well designed and programmed app-well, I've got a year membership so;). I hate to go to a gym, so this is perfect for me. Furthermore, It actually helps me lose my weight!! I like a few things on this app which you can personalize such as no run, only 15min workout or small space.. Plus love the way they push me as they encourage me to beat my personal best record! Lastly, No equipment needed!

Realm good workouts. I have noticed a diffence in my body shape, defo leaner and more muscular. Not sure about stamina, as the workouts are currently 20-30 mins. No probs to mix in a session on the bike or rowing machine tho, outside of the app. One thing I hate is the requirement to constantly give feedback and share my experience. Optional?

JUST ANOTHER SHARK. Obviously, the app does not work properly and I hated the way I had to always click during a workout. Also, I cancelled my subscription right after I signed up but obviously the app did not register that. A huge $85 was taken out of my account WITHOUT NOTICE and the only response I received after asking for a refund is "sorry, we cant help you and some policy Blah!" This is just disgusting policy. There's no respect. Poor customer service and stealing people's momey. SHAME

I love freeletics, it adds variety & freedom to my training. I'm a PT myself sometimes need a bit of encouragement for my own training! Only problem is that there's been a bug with the Hybrid plan and my times are not being recorded at the end of the workout or in my history. Also lost the abilility to take photos post workout. Reported to support and waiting a fix date. Hurry please 🙂

Good basic app but could use improvement. Instead of wasting time clicking through 3 different pages at the end to evaluate performance, condense it into one page with checkboxes and a note section if desired, with the option to skip it all. Have an option to add injured body parts so the app skips activities that will reinjure that area. Add option to increase or decrease intensity of scheduled workouts, not just the independent workouts.

I liked that the training was specified for my fitness goals and objectives. The variety and diversity of exercises makes it all the more interesting, and the ability to access a virtual coach ensures you can train anywhere.

This has been a great app so far for me. At times, though, the workouts are simply too tough to complete. The timed exercises do not have sufficient gaps between them at times which mean you will lose a few seconds to switch between exercises. Downloaded exercise videos get automatically deleted. So, if you want to watch it again, you have to download it again. However, considering that it's eventually an app, I don't think I would have expected a lot better experience than it already provides.

I used to think lifting heavy weights would get me fit. I used to left around 200 pounds on the Barbell, but this app showed me how physically unfit I was. It takes more than just weightlifting to get you prepped and this app gives it all.
