This app generates 6-digit Time-Based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) and PUSH notification based one-touch authentication. ID.me Authenticator as a TOTP Code Generator: Signing into your account requires your username, password and a verification code that you can generate using this app. Once configured, you can get verification codes without the need for a network or cellular connection when this app is used as a TOTP code generator. You can enroll and connect ID.me Authenticator to your account for 2FA by scanning the QR code at setup time. ID.me Authenticator for PUSH based authentication: You enter your username and password when signing into your account, then approve the push notification sent to your phone. Not a bad app to have if your going to be dealing with a lot of government or local municipalities that requires a lot of verify who you are and do it with multiple identifiers to prove you are you. Once you get around all of the verification processes, it's easy as 1, 2 I'm approved after that. Just don't forget your access and password or it's good luck McDuck in trying to get it recovered.

it's very simple & easy to figure out where you need to go for such n such task, but there's nothing to navigate to.. I wish there were sublinks other than "rate this site," or "dark theme." like, links that'd redirect me where's needed to verify my identity, to check my refund status, etc.

This app is awful. It is very misleading and it has been running me around for over a month now. The words say one thing but when it comes down to the nitty gritty they are not doing what is said. Period. I'm wondering if they have a government contract, and why are they wasting our(we the people) money and time? I live on $851.00 a month. This is. me. com feels like I have all the time in the world to mess with this BS. Get a Grip....

impossible to get help or appropriate assistance. I have submitted requests for the past 3 months and haven't even gotten to break the surface on this issues I have been having. been 3 months 3 whole months since I submitted my first request and I'm still on square one only now with more problems. go figure. its 2021 they could have designed something more efficient. Facebook would have help me more then this app/ business whatever

The worst authenticator! If you can stay away please do. But if you can't, I have a work around, just keep reading. Migration from one phone to another is horrendous and impossibly complicated. Also good luck if you ever need to reset your password. Now create an ID.ME account based on the app you using for authentication, download Google Authenticator, login to ID.ME and generate a new QR code for a new phone and use Google Authenticator to capture it. Now you never need ID.ME again! App is 🗑️

I think it's horrible. I read all directions carefully. their only tech support is via email. there's a form they make you complete to create a ticket and this ticket gives you drop down boxes with questions. the questions were stupid and unrelated to my problem. I don't want to days for help. at this point I just want to get rid of this poorly thought out app.

There's no way to give this nightmare a minus star. If you failed at verifying a simple telephone number and then give another error message when I tried to install this app on my phone, and then the answer from your customer service (let's call it this way) is try to use another method, then I have no idea what to call this company. Now I can see why government institutions are using this system because between the two of you are giving people a living hell of ineptitude and mediocrity.

I have had nothing but trouble with this app and service. Support has not been easy to reach and it takes days to get a reply, only to be told that they need more time to research my issue. A week later still waitng. Currently I cannot get a passcode generated with id.me app when I try to sign on to the FL DEO website. I had to replace my phone and have not been able to log on since. Its all very unnessasary and exhausting.

Extremely poor customer service has not contacted me back but once. I have sent at least 50 emails all saying the same thing and included screenshots and still have not been contacted my account is still suspended after a month of attempts. If I could leave less than one start I would. The app the website and the company are a joke. Unprofessional seriously. Blank emails rate my experience...... what experience waste of my time. I hope your company sinks.

that app is cool and great. it's the verification service that is the problem and they don't have a phone number for you to be able to contact them. so far the only way to contact them is via email and they don't respond in timely matter or at all. especially a problem if they try to verify your info with out dated info. even with all the right documents they still can't even verify you. that's my reason for the 1 star. the app is fine.
