Call Credit:

Call Credit can be purchased in-app and allows you to call anywhere in the world with Aupix's call tariffs - see web site for call rates.

TCPhone provides true freedom to communicate from wherever you are. It can video call over Wifi, 3G, via a wireless hotspot or over a MiFi Broadband connection.

Economical use of Networks:

TCPhone can be optimised to make the most of your call plan by using WiFi hotspots where available for video calling, falling back to 3G if a hotspot is not available.

The user interface is clean and simple. The interface consists of three main pages, status page, dialler and call logs. Video calls can be made directly from the contacts bar within the status page. Call type can be selected so that calls can be voice, video or text and in any combination.

Free Calls to Friends and Family:

A TCPhone user can video call other TCPhone users, or a TCPhone PC user for free.

Real Time Text can be used to supplement voice and video live in a call. This is particularly useful for spelling out words or numbers that are difficult to hear. Real time text can also be linked to the phone's speech recognition capability, meaning that a user can speak into their phone for the remote user to read.

TCMail – Video Mail with Audio and Real Time Text:

A TCPhone account includes 20 minutes of TCMail meaning that callers can leave a video message when you are busy or unavailable. Users are notified of a waiting message using in-app notification and email.

High quality voice and video:

TCPhone has been optimised for variable connection speeds adapting the audio and video call to achieve the best performance possible from the current network connection.

Easy Installation:

TCPhone is easy to install. Simply download, enter your TCPhone user name and password, and start to make video calls!

There is currently no emergency calling capability within the TCPhone network and this app must not be relied upon in an emergency.

Please ensure you understand your data package and any relevant data roaming tariffs before using this app over a mobile network. Please monitor your data usage using the utilities supplied by your provider to prevent unexpected charges.

Reviews From google play store

I can't swipe it off to rid of it. Unnecessary and annoying. It signed in automatically often after I signed it off. Please improve this app.

...but I can't seem to buy credit in-app. It's only showing my balance instead of options to buy credit. Tapping on my balance doesn't do anything. Doesn't work well with autocorrect in a text relay call. Now it's crashing a lot.

I use Aupix on my laptop and it is great. However, this app is completely useless. I put my sign in details but cannot log in because the log in button just does not function on my phone (Samsung S4)... at all. Would give zero stars if it were possible. This app really needs work - esp. since Aupix was recommended by RNID when they closed their text phone service. Just appalling.

I got the app because I am deaf. Good when it works but constantly hangs and crashes. I have wasted loads if credit on unconnected calls

I can't doing top up cos the screen remain blank and I can't press the which option I choose! Please fix it.

This app keeps giving me an error saying "the request was interupted"

Nice app but people need somethig more

Have installed this on my Incredible S and my TF101 Tablet AND my laptop. Works very well on all systems, especially with Text Relay UK. I hope it stays free and calls remain free. Somehow, I doubt it.

requires following permissions on your android device.

approximate location (network-based)
Allows the app to get your approximate location. This location is derived by location services using network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine approximately where you are.

precise location (GPS and network-based)
Allows the app to get your precise location using the Global Positioning System (GPS) or network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine where you are, and may consume additional battery power.

view network connections
Allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected.

view Wi-Fi connections
Allows the app to view information about Wi-Fi networking, such as whether Wi-Fi is enabled and name of connected Wi-Fi devices.

pair with Bluetooth devices
Allows the app to view the configuration of the Bluetooth on the phone, and to make and accept connections with paired devices.

directly call phone numbers
Allows the app to call phone numbers without your intervention. This may result in unexpected charges or calls. Note that this doesn't allow the app to call emergency numbers. Malicious apps may cost you money by making calls without your confirmation.

take pictures and videos
Allows the app to take pictures and videos with the camera. This permission allows the app to use the camera at any time without your confirmation.

disable your screen lock
Allows the app to disable the keylock and any associated password security. For example, the phone disables the keylock when receiving an incoming phone call, then re-enables the keylock when the call is finished.

find accounts on the device
Allows the app to get the list of accounts known by the phone. This may include any accounts created by applications you have installed.

full network access
Allows the app to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. The browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet.

change your audio settings
Allows the app to modify global audio settings such as volume and which speaker is used for output.

reroute outgoing calls
Allows the app to process outgoing calls and change the number to be dialed. This permission allows the app to monitor, redirect, or prevent outgoing calls.

read your contacts
Allows the app to read data about your contacts stored on your phone, including the frequency with which you've called, emailed, or communicated in other ways with specific individuals. This permission allows apps to save your contact data, and malicious apps may share contact data without your knowledge.

read phone state
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

run at startup
Allows the app to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. This can make it take longer to start the phone and allow the app to slow down the overall phone by always running.

record audio
Allows the app to record audio with the microphone. This permission allows the app to record audio at any time without your confirmation.

control vibration
Allows the app to control the vibrator.

prevent phone from sleeping
Allows the app to prevent the phone from going to sleep.

modify your contacts
Allows the app to modify the data about your contacts stored on your phone, including the frequency with which you've called, emailed, or communicated in other ways with specific contacts. This permission allows apps to delete contact data.

modify or delete the contents of your SD card
Allows the app to write to the SD card.

In-App billing
In-app Billing on Google Play provides a straightforward, simple interface for sending In-app Billing requests and managing In-app Billing transactions using Google Play.

receive data from Internet
Allows apps to accept cloud to device messages sent by the app's service. Using this service will incur data usage. Malicious apps could cause excess data usage.
