I'm a paid subs and find this app to be a mixed bag. There are obvious parallels between it and DuoLingo. It doesn't do much teaching (same as DuoLingo). It shows words and phrases and expects you to learn them through rote memorization. Same as DuoLingo, but without the explanations available from other users in the comments section. My biggest issue is it uses sentences for context but then provides zero explanation on tap for the words. There's also little to no explanation on sentence structure. It teaches you the word like fruit (Obst) and to sell (verkaufen) and then it gives you a sentence like 'You sell fruit in the market' (du verkaufst obst auf dem markt) but provides zero explanation on where auf and dem came from. It is pretty obvious in this particular sentence, but this is just an example for context. This is a far bigger problem when multiple verbs are in a and one is active versus not. Also, the recorded conversation piece is useless. The sentences used are relevant to the topic, but not the skill level. If I'm a beginner I listen to it and have no idea what is going on and immediately forget all of it. Unlikely to renew without improvements.

Advanced level (German) shows beginner level words/sentences. And do they even have the present perfect tense? It's used extensively in spoken German. (Haven't seen any)

Great over all set up and learning experience. Ironically the only thing I have to complain about is the gift option to buy more accounts isn't working properly. I just missed a yearly discount because the button doesn't work. It tries to add additional years to my own account instead of setting up additional accounts.

I am not a premium member, but I find the daily exercises and other options to explore the language is valuable in developing a foundation of any language. I use many of the languages on here actually, whether it's a language I've taken a 3 month course on or a language I've taken 2 years on or if I'm just now accommodating to. at all levels, I enjoy this app

Great way to learn languages love it great way to avoid the bloat from the interwebs stuck mindlessly scroll Facebook or other socially destructive applications? How about broadening your intellect by using this app instead of the others that just waste away your attention and shrink your prefrontal cortex. Let the algorithms guide you to deeper meaningful knowledge of language with this app.

great app I purchased the year long plan well worth it for under 50 dollars the games and daily lessons are very helpfull.i would like to see a speaking tutortial section to listen on the go as well as having to be in front of the screen playing along also when you spell certain words you cant get it correct as we do not have the special letters on our keyboards dont know how to fix that issue. Great app having fun every day no less than half an hour I spend on it ..tschuss !!!

Absolutely love this app. I got one month subscription for $9.99 just to try, I've never paid for apps before, but this app exceeded my expectations. The only thing I don't like so far is that there is no articles with new the vocabulary so you have to figure out a gender of a noun on your own.

Whenever I try to use the record feature in the exercises, the program shuts down. Also, the program frequently will only allocate 1 point for what is normally a 50 or 150 point exercise. Difficult to track progress. I reported these problems to Mondly months ago but so far, problems still prevail.

4.5 I love the app. It is easy enough for my busy schedule. Let's face it, who's going to finish if it's too difficult? But for an accurate star rating, a few, probably those who know some broken language will find it too easy.

I really like Mondly. It's great for travel/spot learning (I did French) and it's also great for long term learning. My only complaint is that with the Korean set the sentences are a bit too formal so far.
