Almost perfect. Used to be perfect until broke an important feature: I have office365 account and I do not want to sync it outside of work hours. The schedule doesn't work anymore with this type of account. Even when sync for the account is disabled I now have to hide it from my inbox when going for vacation, it syncs anyway, even when disabled! And widget also shows # of unread emails badge unless I hide it from unified inbox. This works perfectly, but ruins work-life balance.

  2. Ju-eng Ling-avatar

Until recently it was a 5 star app. But after the last few updates I started to have lots of problems (not syncing, mainly). I reduced my rating and tried a different client. But none compare to this app! So I deleted Aqua, purged all leftover files and reinstalled the app. Works now like on day one! And I'm very happy again and the 5 stars are back! One word of displeasure even though I doesn't affect me. The pricehike of 200% is ridiculous! I'd never bought it for this money!

  3. ma to-avatar

The app is full of trackers. I paid for the app (in-app purchase) and I don't want to be spied on. 👎 Other than that the app is excellent. The best email client I have found for Android. But there's no feedback from the app's developer when reporting bugs and issues. 😐

  4. Melanie Bourn-avatar

As a first time user I'm impressed with it, layout is simple & easy to use, it refreshes quickly & the attachment function works well. It also doesn't chew data which always helps & it's nice that the ads are small and not intrusive.

What happened? It was perfect until this last update but now it's telling me all my logins have failed. Can't send or receive but nothing's changed except for update. Mail works fine in other apps. Please fix.

  6. A Google user-avatar

This app is going backwards! Still can't save your signature! Emails can be saved in EML, but still not PDF. What's new stays the same for several updates. AOL accounts can't be authenticated.

The latest release seems to have been solved the excessive battery consumption. Thank you for your swift resolution! Back to 5 stars!

  8. Ben Buller-avatar

Exactly what i was looking for. Other mail clients only do this or that. This does everything! Completely customizable down to the font. Lost me at the price tho.

Works simply and well, clear views, easy folder management, simple to switch from one account to another, altogether a great email app.

  11. Marc Moran-avatar

Even after many attempts and web searches l an no longer access AOL mail with Aqua Mail. I've been using it for several yrs but I'm see no alternative.

  12. Mark Goundry-avatar

Use this for BT/Yahoo mail. Basic version comes with Ads but works well on my Samsung mobile. Prefer Ads to be smaller otherwise would give it 5 stars.

  13. Gus McC-avatar

One of the better free email apps. It does come with adverts, but pay for the app if you don't want them.

  14. Qamar Mirza-avatar

I purchased this app in 2014 long time requesting since then. Not at all happy, Please can you add a snooze button for reminding again of the email?

  15. Jordan Cantley-avatar

Awesome. Ads can be slightly annoying but this is a brilliant app all round.

Beautiful Features along with very Cool kinda Interface.

  25. Paul Nevert-avatar

Just the best E-mail app on Android there is.

  26. Carl Humphries-avatar

Seems to do a good job! Easy to set up and use.

  27. M D-avatar

Great email app. But $30 a YEAR is just too expensive, especially when I'm already paying for Office 365. And it's not like there are enough regular improvements or new features with this app that make a yearly subscription justifiable in the first place. And that's a shame. I tweaked a ton of settings; it's looking lean and mean. No wasted space...compact & info-dense. Very well-thought out app. If this was a one-time purchase or $12 a year, I'd jump.

  28. Fractal Codex-avatar

Pretty decent email app ruined by full screen ads and a ridiculous $48/year ad-free price! $14 lifetime was more reasonable. Who in their right mind will pay $4/month when there are plenty of good email apps that are free? Only use it now for one email account I rarely check. Dev needs to review the pricing and remove the full screen ads.

  29. Tony Woolf-avatar

I've used this for several years and it's generally very good. The worst thing is very poor folder handling. It doesn't support local folders, either in IMAP or POP3. So POP3 users can't organise messages, everything you want to keep is a big jumble in the inbox. But at long last, you can delete a server folder.

  30. Joe Helwig-avatar

The app works well but I have to find something different. The Ads in the free version are completely ridiculous make it unusable, you are in the middle of reading an email & an ad starts playing, if the dev was serious about making a good app over making money they would know this, I was going to buy the App because I said it works well enough to use as my Email app for work I am willing to pay $19.99 for an email app, well it is not $19.99 it is $29.99 most $$ for an app i have seen.

  31. Matt Smith-avatar

This is the email app I've been looking for. All the other ones I've tried suck. Mainly I was looking for maximum customizability. You can't go wrong with that! No problems or even anything to nit-pick so far. It feels like a quality email app, and for that I will pay up the premium fee. Brilliant stuff, I'm very satisfied! Edit: I had a problem which I contacted support with. They never replied but I guess the issue was fixed, I don't have the problem anymore. More communication would be nice.

  32. Florin Crisan-avatar

This app is ridiculous. The free version only allows one email account. Also, if you want to pay, it goes on an expensive monthly subscription, billed annually. Hello, developers! It's 2020 out there! Did you, by any chance, hire the managers that ruined AOL in 2005? They would be proud of you!

  33. João Manuel-avatar

I insist: bad, bad, bad. This developer compliquates everything. Too much updates for almost nothing. In the other hand bad customer service. They don't answer the emails and when answer, this is 4... 5 days after. Finally we are in 2019 and not at 8019. What are emails for? Much fast send them a letter spit closed. They NEVER ANSWER THE EMAILS. NEVER. From some days I help myself by others emails softwares and there are too much better than Aqua Mail.

  34. Bovine Pig-avatar

This used to be the best email app. I've given it five star reviews in the past. Unfortunately the pop up adverts have forced me to delete it. The adverts take up the whole of the screen and disable the android back button, so you're forced to look at it for ten seconds or so until a little cross appears at the top of the add enabling you to remove it. Multiple accounts are no longer allowed unless you pay for the 'upgrade' version.

  35. Max Patric-avatar

Great app with great features for SMTP mailing system. But kindly add one more thing in the application. Add an option to save email templates like order confirmation template, order complete templates etc so customer can add the html templates by there own choice and simply select the template while mailing and then edit some order details and send. This will save too much time and complete the application to it's best.

  36. Sergio Di Sano-avatar

Have been using this since it first came out with the Pro Unlocker. Did an update yesterday, now it tells me that the the Play Store does not recognize the License. So now I cannot use the full features. I use it for business purposes. On the website it now indicates that you need to buy the app for $29.99. At this point I am very disappointed and will use the Blue Mail app instead. Not to happy with this. BTW...I sent an email and 24hrs later still no response. RESOLVED bu Mobisystemsa

  37. K D-avatar

It has a great interface. Several options to personalize. Is Fast. But i have 1 major issue and a couple complaints. 1. No calendar visibility 2. After permission, Calendar details now showing as Google calendar. This is risky. I didn't want Google to see my work calendar and details. 3. Major issue - full page loud game ads which i cannot even mute. Imagine you're in a meeting with senior leaders, you just checked the mail and a stupid game ad starts playing with almost no control.

  38. El Carumba-avatar

One of the better email clients although not really up to doing the housework, use your pc for that. it loses a star as there are times when on certain wifi networks I get persistent connection errors but other clients still work. Dropping a star as support for paid is non existant now. They never bother to reply , that's sadly due to author selling to mobisystems who are just cashing in.

  39. Spehmaster G.-avatar

Certainly superior to Gmail but a few items of Gmail functionality I liked, eg ability to preview and delete mail from notification bar and open mail in lock screen - emails aren't even showing up on lock screen - if there's a setting that I can change to get that please let me know. Thanks

  40. Ramez Hayek-avatar

Nearly nothing I can fault with this app. Has been my go-to email app on Android for years. Had to stop when some protocols work email used with Exchange were not compatible with Aqua. I couldn't get shared calendars on it before. Will need to re-test. But honestly the most customisable email app out there!

  41. Elias Seldon-avatar

It's worked flawlessly, which I need. Stable. It just works. I see it's really customizable, which is a bonus. Most important thing is that it syncs email reliably. That wasn't my experience with Boxer. Happy to pay for the ad-free version. Please don't ever sacrifice stability for features!

  42. Dave Write-avatar

Just brought a new mobile phone and this app came installed on the phone. I put 2 email accounts on. All worked fine until this afternoon. My sky email stopped working in the app. Tried checking my sky email on my old phone email app and it works. So I deleted the accounts on this app and re installed one but now won't let me add any more accounts. All that comes up is do the free trial for the pro email. Is this correct

  43. Muhammad Ali-avatar

It is not secure app. It has no option of cram_md5 in mail security for incoming which is very risk. If cram_md5 option is added it's good software. After few weeks of installing this app you will notice your invoices are hacked and emails coming with different email address and asking for new bank accounts. After i switch to blue mail app issue is solved. Blue mail has good security for incoming and outgoing.

  44. Daniel Hall-avatar

Works perfect with my GOdaddy email for work!! I used to have to login through a website to manually check my inbox but now i receive notifications when i get an email. And I can easily send file attachments. This app performs just like Gmail so I'm very satisfied. 5 stars!!

  45. Lesley Wagstaffe-avatar

    Lesley Wagstaffe

New intrusive ads! I have become increasingly annoyed with the latest spate of ads which you can't move away from for several seconds. Most intrusive. It doesn't reflect well on your brand

  46. Sean Piercy-avatar

My main gripe with this app is that nested folders are not nested in your app, they're listed. It makes it a nightmare to manage my emails considering I have folders, inside folders, inside subfolders, like any experienced computer user should have. Once that major issue is addressed I will update my review and rating.

  47. Torpedo Rocki-avatar

    Sometimes cannot attach the file.

  48. Simon-avatar

Pretty stable and sophisticated. Widget icons of the last update in my opinion sub-par. Please provide the old ones too. OH, STOP!! I have silently no longer a pro version (read ratings there, to get the picture) with >20 trackers. No way folks, this changes things from 5 to one star...

  49. PlainDave-avatar

I really like the look and feel of this client, but I can't get it to open my individual emails. Maybe that's because of my account being with Startmail. I'd like some help from the creator(s), if you can. What I'm trying to accomplish is saving the entire contents of a folder, which has emails from a few years ago until now. The guy might die soon, so it's imperitave that I save it all. If I can make this happen, I will change it to 5 stars.

  50. José António Sousa-avatar

    José António Sousa

My previous rating: "What? Now the app doesn't open from the widget?" It has to do with checking the option "tap to refresh" that doesn't seem to a thing aside stopping the widget to open the app.

  51. ted gandy-avatar

Its a stable app but badly programmed. They put SEND key barely above one of the most ommonly used letters -e. And since when you accidentally hit the key it sends without asking you look pretty stupid sending an incomplete sentence let alone email! They need to fix pronto or at least confirm before sending. Otherwise its OK but would not recd until resolved.

  52. Gary Masino-avatar

I've switched over from Newton Mail after that service ended (again). I use Aqua Mail on both a Chromebook and a Pixel 3. Couldn't be more pleased. A wonderful improvement over Newton. Lots of ability to customize (and I mean lots !). I've paid for the Pro version and I am 100% pleased I did so. Great email App for phone and Chromebook. Very well done.

  53. Shaun Favuzza-avatar

This app works great. You can see all email accounts in one pane of glass or you can view them separately. Very configurable. This app does what the outlook app does not.

  54. Joachim Stenvold-avatar

    Joachim Stenvold

Fantastic app, love it. It works as intended. It seems like the problem I experienced might have fixed itself. I guess there was some hiccups. If I ever experience it again, I'll try to check if I can fix it by changing some of the settings :)

  55. Wen Mac-avatar

can't even get my POP server settings recognized and have my domain server instructions open right beside. tried the alternate incoming and outgoing ports (one at a time). have tried changinging SSL choices to see if that might make a difference. nothing. well, this was a complete waste of an hour!

  56. Sean Reynolds-avatar

For me, this app has been pretty bad. I bought it thinking that I would consolidate all my email accounts but when I realized that it only works about 50% of the time, I kept it limited to my business email only.

  57. Meledie Knopf-avatar

UPDATE: The creator(s) of this app made quick contact and resolved the crashing issue. I'm very grateful for their positive response and great customer service. Thank you so much! Up until recently, this app has been working really good. But as of this past week, it is crashing on a very consistent basis and has become very frustrating and aggrevating. I don't like writing bad reviews, but it appears the only way to draw attention to this problem!

  58. huy quang-avatar

Greedy developer. Purchased pro version before they have their "new pro" app and now the app no longer works on my wife's phone. She set up 4 email accounts and lost 2 without any warning. All she got was a message asking her to purchase the pro version. I'll avoid this developer from now on. And you should stay away too.

  59. Richard Wright-avatar

Well so far, although it often has adverts that you have to watch 5 seconds of and nearly every time it invites you to sign up... It is still free and seems easy and convenient to use. I don't actually mind 5s of adverts as it is like a mini distraction break!

  60. Matt Birmingham-avatar

    Matt Birmingham

Excellent email app. My only complaint are Ads that pop up. I don't mind that banner Ads up at the header. At least too much. This is the best email App I have used - out of about 6 over the years.

  61. Oleg B-avatar

Lately i have not been able to send out emails from my outlook domain email, i contacted them for support they told me what to do i did amd sent them back requested info but they still never got back to me about it, i am a paid user and have been using the app forever but in the last month this has been happening where i send out an email and i get undeliverable response and it tells me that recipient email server rejected it but it works fine from desktop, anyone else have the same issue?

  62. Timothy Payne-avatar

Love the app. But the unread count is very slow to update. Messages show in the phone notification area but the unread count is slow to show the correct count. Also don't really care for the round widget icons. At least give a preference.

  63. Rio V-avatar

I had very high hopes for this app. The thread feature here is limited to conversations. However, it refuses to group emails by sender unless they have the same subject down to the capitalization and punctuation of a single character.

  64. Stan Wasilikb-avatar

Look no further for an email app. The free version fits most needs, but it's absolutely worth the few bucks for Pro -- especially if you have multiple email accounts, host your own email, etc. Extremely intuitive user interface, breezy navigation, and more features and customization than you will ever need. Nobody makes hooking up to your gmail or other accounts -- even hosted accounts. DEVS: We'll get you VC money for replicating on Windows = $$$!!!!

  65. Joe Sternhagen-avatar

I am very frustrated using Aquamail. Aquamail is unable to properly focus my text with my cursor when the virtual keyboard pops up. The text I'm writing continually bounces around and I have to page up and down and up and down trying to figure out where I'm writing because Aquamail can't keep track of it for me like every other email packages are able to when the virtual keyboard pops up. They have to get this fixed. It's been like this for over a year. Otherwise, they would get 5 stars from me.

  66. Wayne Lim-avatar

Sucks! You used to be able to check all your accounts. Now everything worth downloading this for is behind a paywall. Intrusive video ads you can't turn off add to the fun.

  67. Chris Morrill-avatar

Worked great for over a year. Now it is riddled with problems and completely unusable. Constant SSL certificate errors. I tried contacting support over a week ago with no response. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it fails to restore backup (Java padding error) or allow me to add my email accounts back in (some other Azure sytax error). Basically it went from great to a broken pile of junk. 12/12/19 update. It was working again for a couple months. Now "error submitting outgoin

Extremely flexible and customisable email client. I've tried a lot of clients, this works well regarding integrating into default contacts and calendar apps. I've now got all 5 email accounts set up and running well. Visually, the app is nice.. As I said above it's very customisable, so you will find your own visual preferences.. I did. Thanks.

Great app, accomplished one task I have needed for a long time selecting multiple contacts in one shot for a mass email, however, no way I will pay $30 per year to use the app. Uninstalling search continues.

  70. Dmitry Norenko-avatar

Once it was the best email client ever Now, notifications are late and very late Had to switch to bluemail, though paid for Aquamail UPD after support answer Nothing helps I can check new email only manually by going to the inbox and refreshing it Really bad

  71. Stephen Abbot-avatar

No support on aquamail homepage - so lame! App no longer able to sync with aquamail license server to verify my purchase. App was purchased several years ago, and it worked great until December 2019. Now it states 'Account not found' and refuses to work. Reinstallation did not work. Time to look at competing alternatives considering there is no support for this paid app. Downgrading from 5 stars to 1 star.

  72. Paolo Guagliardo-avatar

    Paolo Guagliardo

The app looks nice and has useful features. What I like in particular is the possibility of setting up a smart folder where threads include your replies. Unfortunately the free version is cluttered with too many ads, which are sometimes very invasive (as in full screen pop up while reading a message). Uninstalled and switched back to rougher K9-Mail, which however is FOSS, has no ads and gives me complete peace of mind about privacy.

  73. Nana A-avatar

Works well but the adverts are too frequent. I would love to pay for the Pro version but I think the value it provides does not justify the cost yet.

Can only add one account. Have to pay to add more. Installed and uninstalled after 2 minutes. There are plenty of free email apps that allow this BASIC function. No thanks. Money grabbers!

With the last update the shortcut buttons within an email are gone. I used to be able to read an email and have buttons to delete, reply, etc these are gone and now I have to go through a whole menu to do these. If these buttons don't come back I'll be finding a new email app as not being able to delete with one click slows me down significantly.

No support for matching the navigation bar to the color of the app in Android10. I have the theme of the app set to dark, yet the nav bar at the bottom shows as a stark white which looks awful next to the dark theme. All other third party apps I'm using match the nav bar to the colour of the app. Android 10 has been out for ages now. You knew this was coming. Sort it out. Gone back to Gmail until this is resolved.

Used to be the best webmail app, not now, the ads are just too invasive and block the screen fully for way too long. Bye! From 5 stars to 1. Shame really.

Have used this app forever for 2 AOL email accounts. Switched phones and now it will only let me have 1. Have to upgrade to Pro , at a cost of course, to add second account.

Aqua mail makes it so easy to send photos! It's fast and gives you lots of options. It's a first-rate email app!

Ads "haters"must flee Mobi-system apps !! Shame on them ! Pushing to use their office suite when opening any attached doc !! I had paid for their office suite, and I had to uninstall it because it was hassling me to use other "mobisystem" products ! (as File Commander) I can't stand this Mobi - system any more ! More greedy than Scrooge himself ! That was the best e-mail client before they got it.

Sadly, support never replies to my emails... Bug: notifications can't be expandeded, when you receive more than 1 emails, please change/fix. Also if possible please add option to disable notifications bundling/grouping, according to Google, this up to app developer, since Android doesn't provide ability in notification settings to disable bundling/grouping notifications per App (unlike in iOS, where it's possible). Then I'll change my review rating, since AquaMail will not be frustrating me…

So far the best Email client on Chome Book, sometimes hard to use. I am using only the free version: Keyboard functions like CRTL-C or CRTL-A are not working. So one has to use the touchscreen which I consider as less ergonomic as keyboard shortcuts. Generally the fontsize in the emails is too smal. Zooming of the scrren does move the text out of the visible aria, then you to bigger characters but a part of the text lines is not visible anymore. There is no individual email footer possible.

UPDATED REVIEW Never answered my queries about being unable to reinstall pro unlocker after a phone reset. Finally got a personal response when I complained here at Play. If installation instructions change, and they don't want post them here (as they tell me), they should send a bulk email to paying customers! It's not as if they don't have our email addresses (and presumably a whole lot more), after all! Anyway, glad to have the app back. Most customizable email app I've encountered.

LG G8 with Android 9.0 everything seems to be running well and I have no problem saving an email as an EML file however it won't let me save it to my SD card. Aqua mail pro has storage permission so it should be able to save to the SD card. If other permissions are needed to allow storage to the SD card I would appreciate that information. Otherwise the best email client in Play Store hands down thanks to the Developers

Was a great email app. I loved it. Yet, they have updated it to the now force full page ads to load. Very obtrusive, considering removing.

Terrific light mail app. Been using with 100% confidence few months now. No complaints. Does all I need at full commercial/professional level. Looking to now buy Pro version - not for any other reason but as support to developers to keep up the good work and for such an amazing product they're giving out for free ........ My licence key is gone and to work I need to pay again. After they sold the app to the new company they simply,y ditched the old users trying to let them paying again for the same app. Beware, because Google will NOT refund your money and you pay nearly £20 for renting something until, it will stop working

This is great email app for my Android phone. This is one of four or five apps I use every single day, shows you how valuable this really is.

App has worked great for years until last night. The body of all emails is blank no content. I restarted phone, reinstalled program and seemed to have it fixed. Now today all my emails are blank again. This is not a Gmail or other email server issue as it's doing it on all my emails.

Can't unsubscribe to nothing & images don't show automatically like they do in gmail. I want something better than gmail cause gmail no longer sends notifications. Also blank email issue from senders in aqua mail. What is this? I'm Trying To Like Aqua Mail & the issues are stopping me that. I love I can add a password to lock it

Really good email app. My only complaint is if I want the ad free version it's a monthly fee. I'd be game for a reasonable one time fee. Also the ads can be somewhat annoying when they are interactive"playable" ads. Out of place for an email program.

  95. Ralph Ward-avatar

I have the paid version and I find it flexible and easy to use. The only thing I would change is the ability to mark an email as spam and never see it again. Having to repeat moving the same spam to junk is getting really old and I am considering other options.

  96. Sabine M.-avatar

Doesn't work with signed mails. As soon as an email has been signed with a certificate all attachments are gone and only an p7m file that can't be opened shows up. Otherwise this would get 5 stars, but even free apps can handle attachments better than this in the pro version.

  97. Chan Xiong-avatar

Always ads blocking my view and you can only setup one email address unless you are a paid subscription. There are many other email apps out there which far better and less ads. Time to get rid off this app to erase some of my storage.

  98. Crispy Critter-avatar

I bought this and have it on my old phone, but just installed it on my new phone and it's an annual subscription now. How do I get my purchased version back? EDIT: I contacted them yesterday as per request but have not received any response as of now. It was a waste of my money. This app will most likely go away soon since they changed it to rental - ware.

2020 update.. Still the absolute best email application for Android, I've used it for years and cannot fault it. Buy the pro version and support the developer!

    1. easy to setup, easy to use, easy to navigate 2. support: yes, my pro registration key was lost in the last update but the support team (special thanks to Nedialko) were really helpful, quick response - all issues fixed 3. doesn't hog phone resources thanks guys
